Trump Attorney Blasts Georgia Official for ‘Secretly’ Taping ‘Confidential’ Call

A lawyer for President Donald Trump has slammed Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) for “secretly” recording a telephone call with the president, describing their conversation as a “confidential settlement discussion” regarding the Peach State’s presidential election outcome.

Lawyer Kurt Hilbert made the remarks in the wake of President Trump’s Saturday call with Raffensperger, portions of which were published Sunday by the Washington Post. During the recording, the president said to the Georgia election official, “I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

In a statement to Fox News, Hilbert said, “We are disappointed that the secretary of state and his staff secretly recorded and released a confidential settlement discussion to settle the two pending lawsuits.”

“While they may think that behavior is appropriate, we do not,” he added. “Consequently, we will not be commenting on settlement discussions.” (Read more from “Trump Attorney Blasts Georgia Official for ‘Secretly’ Taping ‘Confidential’ Call” HERE)

Report: Cheap Hair Lice Drug May Cut Risk of COVID-19 Death by 80 Percent

A simple treatment for COVID-19 could be cheaper than 20 bucks — and familiar to most grade school nurses.

Head lice drug ivermectin is being explored as a potential treatment for the coronavirus following a promising new study that showed an 80% reduction in hospitalized COVID-19 patient deaths.

Just 8 out of 573 patients who received ivermectin passed away, compared to the 44 individuals out of 510 who died after being given a placebo.

An earlier study of the antiparasitic prescription drug, which costs between $17 and $43 for a course of treatment, according to GoodRx, revealed promising results in April — by removing all viral RNA within 48 hours of a single dose.

Liverpool University virologist Andrew Hill has called the new study “transformational” in the search for a coronavirus therapy. His findings, based on data from over 1,400 patients, were made public in a video posted to YouTube in which Hill discusses his results in a previously aired livestream. The research currently awaits peer review prior to publishing. (Read more from “Report: Cheap Hair Lice Drug May Cut Risk of COVID-19 Death by 80 Percent” HERE)

Kamala Harris Gets Caught in Another Lie

. . .Elle magazine did an entire feature piece on Harris and her life. Interestingly enough, the first two paragraphs of the article focus on how Harris wanted “fweedom” from a young age. But it turns out she stole the line from an interview Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did with Playboy back in 1965.

Below is the Elle interview (emphasis mine):

Senator Kamala Harris started her life’s work young. She laughs from her gut, the way you would with family, as she remembers being wheeled through an Oakland, California, civil rights march in a stroller with no straps with her parents and her uncle. At some point, she fell from the stroller (few safety regulations existed for children’s equipment back then), and the adults, caught up in the rapture of protest, just kept on marching. By the time they noticed little Kamala was gone and doubled back, she was understandably upset. “My mother tells the story about how I’m fussing,” Harris says, “and she’s like, ‘Baby, what do you want? What do you need?’ And I just looked at her and I said, ‘Fweedom.’”

This past August, that same precocious child, now a member of the U.S. Senate, stood on a stage in a nearly empty auditorium flanked by American flags and accepted the Democratic nomination for vice president, making history as the first Black and Indian American woman to do so. A week later, flanked by those same flags, she delivered a speech designed to deflect attention from President Donald Trump’s own speech later that night at the Republican National Convention. “Justice,” she said forcefully, boring into the eyes of viewers as she defended the right of peaceful protesters to take to the streets after the recent shooting of Jacob Blake by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin. “Let’s talk about that. Because the reality is that the life of a Black person in America has never been treated as fully human. And we have yet to fulfill that promise of equal justice under law.”

Top Cybersecurity Firm: Massive Russian Cyberattack Was Waged From Within U.S.

The hackers behind the major cyberattack against several federal government agencies used computers within the U.S., according to the cybersecurity firm FireEye.

The massive cyberattack was conducted using servers and computers within the U.S. and often from within the same town or city as the victims of the attack, FireEye told The New York Times. Because the attack came from domestic servers, the perpetrators were able to evade the National Security Agency’s (NSA) authority, which does not extend to domestic private sector networks.

“[Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR)] is deliberate, they are sophisticated, and they don’t have the same legal restraints as we do here in the West,” former government intelligence analyst Adam Darrah told The Times.

The extent of the cyberattack, meanwhile, is now estimated to be much larger than originally expected, according to The Times. It is now expected that Russian actors accessed about 250 U.S. networks, including Fortune 500 companies and several government agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security, the Treasury Department and the National Nuclear Security Administration. New Bill Would Allow State to Detain People if Deemed a Threat to Public Health

A bill being introduced in the New York State Assembly would allow the governor and other health officials to detain anyone suspected of being a “carrier” of a contagious disease, like the coronavirus.

The legislation is sponsored by Assemblyman N. Nick Perry and was previously introduced in 2015 due to Ebola virus, but never passed. The bill’s language says that if the governor “declares a state of health emergency due to an epidemic of any communicable disease” then the state can take steps to detain any individuals sick or suspected of being sick.

“Upon determining by clear and convincing evidence that the health of others is or may be endangered by a case, contact or carrier” the governor may, after consulting the health commissioner, “order the removal and/or detention of such a person or of a group of such persons by issuing a single order, identifying such persons either by name or by a reasonably specific description of the individuals or group being detained.”

Those detained can only be released if the state proves the person is not a threat to public health.

Persons detained would be held in a “medical facility” or another “appropriate facility or premises designated by the governor” for no longer than three days, but could be held longer. (Read more from “New Bill Would Allow State to Detain People if Deemed a Threat to Public Health” HERE)

Democrat Congresswoman Tests Positive for COVID-19, Shows up to Vote Anyway

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) won another term as speaker of the House on Sunday, but barely. Pelosi needed every vote she could muster, and votes for the speaker had to be cast in person. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) showed up to vote for Nancy Pelosi despite the Wisconsin representative recently testing positive for COVID-19.

Moore is under fire for putting her House colleagues at risk and others she exposed as she traveled to the U.S. Capitol on Sunday to vote for Nancy Pelosi. Just last week, Moore announced on Twitter that she had tested positive for COVID-19. . .

On Sunday, less than a week later, Moore showed up to the U.S. Capitol to vote for Nancy Pelosi. Moore tweeted just hours before the vote that her quarantine had already ended.

Nancy Pelosi Re-Elected Speaker of the House

Nancy Pelosi won another term as Speaker of the House of Representatives on Sunday, eking out a close vote as the 117th Congress kicked off.

The California Democrat, 80, will hold the position for a second consecutive two-year term and fourth overall, having previously been elected in 2007, 2009 and 2019.

She emerged victorious with 216 votes to the 209 votes of Republican challenger Kevin McCarthy, also of California.

Two votes were cast for other candidates and three lawmakers voted present.

Pelosi was expected to come out on top, though by a narrow margin reflective of Republican gains in the House during the most recent election cycle and a Democratic party increasingly splintered along moderate and far-left lines. (Read more from “Nancy Pelosi Re-Elected Speaker of the House” HERE)

Pence Breaks Silence on Election Challenge

In a statement issued hours after a group of senators announced they would challenge the official certification of the results of the 2020 election, Vice President Mike Pence said he supported the move.

Trump Joins Call Urging State Legislators to Consider Decertifying ‘Unlawful’ Election Results

President Trump spoke to 300 state legislators from the battleground states of Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia on Saturday in a Zoom conference call hosted by Got Freedom? in which the 501 (c) (4) non-profit election integrity watchdog group urged those lawmakers to review evidence that the election process in their states was unlawful and consider decertifying the results of the November 3 presidential election.

President Trump addressed the call for 15 minutes at the invitation of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who now serves as the president’s personal attorney, and was one of the featured speakers on the call.

Other featured speakers included Chapman Law School Professor John Eastman, Dr. Peter Navarro, Assistant to the President for Trade and Manufacturing (appearing in his personal capacity), John Lott, Senior Advisor, U.S. Department of Justice (also appearing in his personal capacity), and Liberty University Law School Professor Phill Kline.

Kline, a former attorney general in Kansas, is a spokesperson for the 501 (c) (4) Got Freedom? non-profit, and also serves as director of the 501 (c) (3) Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, an election integrity public interest law firm which is engaged in litigation regarding the 2020 election.

In a press statement released after the call, GotFreedom? said they conducted Saturday’s “exclusive national briefing . . . at the request of state legislators from Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to review the extensive evidence of irregularities and lawlessness in the 2020 presidential election.”
