Joe Biden’s Inaugural Parade Canceled

President-elect Joe Biden’s inaugural celebration will be considerably smaller as organizers have canceled the parade that traditionally takes place after the ceremony.

In a U.S. Army email obtained by Jon Nicosia, participants were informed the event will no longer be happening.

“The Inaugural Parade has been canceled,” it read.

“The Active, National Guard, Reserve, and Academy marching requirements have been deleted and are no longer needed.”

The information from the Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) was called “definitive guidance,” according to the email. (Read more from “Joe Biden’s Inaugural Parade Canceled” HERE)

At Least 140 House Republicans Expected to Object to Electoral College Vote

By Breitbart. At least 140 GOP lawmakers in the soon-to-be 117th Congress will object to the electoral college vote on January 6, some lawmakers predict.

Congress will formally count the electoral college votes from each state on January 6, three days after the new Congress is sworn in. While existing members and newcomers of the House have released statements indicating that they will object, some lawmakers expect there to be “at least 140 Republican Members of the House” joining the effort in objecting to the certification of a Joe Biden victory:

Similarly, Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA), who lost his party’s nomination earlier this year, reportedly told Forbes that the number of GOP lawmakers united in the effort is “staggering.”

“140 certainly seems possible. … I wouldn’t be surprised if it were a little higher,” he said, noting that “pressure” is mounting.

“I would be getting pressure right now,” he continued, explaining that colleagues know the move “keeps their base happy, they know it’ll keep the conference happy and they know it’s not gonna win anyway.” (Read more from “At Least 140 House Republicans Expected to Object to Electoral College Vote” HERE)

Rep-Elect on Trump’s Electoral College Challenge: ‘There’s No Question in My Mind That I Think He Won’

By The Hill. Rep.-elect Burgess Owens (R-Utah) expressed his support for a challenge to the Electoral College vote that certified President-elect Joe Biden’s win, saying Thursday that there’s “no question” that President Trump won reelection.

Owens, who was endorsed by Trump, told The Salt Lake Tribune in an interview that he “absolutely” believes Trump won the presidential election, despite Biden being widely recognized as the president-elect since November.

“There’s no question in my mind that I think he won,” he said.

The incoming Utah representative’s comments come as Congress is scheduled to certify the election results on Wednesday, a move that several lawmakers plan to block in a long-shot effort to overturn the election.

Owens, a former NFL player, compared the fight to his experience in football, saying he plans “to leave everything on the field” for the president. (Read more from “Rep-Elect on Trump’s Electoral College Challenge: ‘There’s No Question in My Mind That I Think He Won'” HERE)

Democratic Senators Push for $2,000 Stimulus Checks Vote Again on New Year’s Day

Senate Republicans blocked another last-ditch Democratic effort to hold a vote on boosting stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000 on New Year’s Day.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell criticized $2,000 direct payments in a Friday floor speech, two days before the 116th Congress ends on Sunday.

“A huge chunk would essentially be socialism for rich people,” the Republican leader said, before dismissing the checks as a “universal cash giveaway.” (Read more from “Democratic Senators Push for $2,000 Stimulus Checks Vote Again on New Year’s Day” HERE)

Dr. Fauci Talks Mandatory COVID Vaccines

Dr. Anthony Fauci said “I’m sure” some individual institutions will make coronavirus vaccinations mandatory, while it is “quite possible” that the COVID-19 vaccine could become a required travel vaccine when visiting other countries.

Speaking to Newsweek, America’s top infectious disease expert said: “Everything will be on the table for discussion” when asked if he will be discussing the possibility of introducing COVID-19 vaccine passports and potential mandatory vaccinations at a local level, including in schools, in his role as chief medical adviser to President-elect Biden.

The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) noted: “It’s not up to me to make a decision. But these are all things that will be discussed [under the Biden administration].” (Read more from “Dr. Fauci Talks Mandatory COVID Vaccines” HERE)

Congress Overrides Trump Veto for the First Time

Congress delivered a stinging rebuke to President Trump during a rare New Year’s Day session Friday, handing him his first veto override in the final days of his administration.

The GOP-controlled Senate voted 81-13 to override Trump’s veto of a mammoth defense bill, well above the two-thirds support necessary, underscoring the depth of disagreement between the two sides of Pennsylvania Avenue.

The House voted 322-87 earlier this week to nix Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which greenlights spending levels and lays out policy for the Pentagon.

It caps off a chaotic session for Congress that started with the longest government shutdown in modern history, included an impeachment trial and is now closing in a rare rebuke of Trump. In addition to the veto fight, which was the last vote of the 116th Congress, Senate Republicans effectively killed the president’s demand for an increase in recently-passed stimulus checks, and next week Congress will ultimately reject a long-shot attempt by conservatives to hand the election to Trump. LA Healthcare Workers Refuse to Take COVID Vaccine

Up to 40% of front-line healthcare workers in Los Angeles County turned down taking the coronavirus vaccine despite receiving priority.

“I’m choosing the risk — the risk of having COVID, or the risk of the unknown of the vaccine,” April Lu, a 31-year-old nurse at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, told the Los Angeles Times.

“I think I’m choosing the risk of COVID. I can control that and prevent it a little by wearing masks, although not 100% for sure.”

Between 20% and 40% of front-line workers in the county have turned down taking the vaccine, with that number reaching up to 50% in some hospitals. (Read more from “LA Healthcare Workers Refuse to Take COVID Vaccine” HERE)

Trump Says Senate Runoff Elections in Georgia Are ‘Illegal and Invalid’

President Trump said the two U.S. Senate runoff elections in Georgia, which are only four days away, are “illegal and invalid.”

The flurry of tweets he sent on Friday, New Year’s Day, adds more controversy surrounding the efforts by incumbent Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue to get reelected and help Republicans retain control of the upper chamber.

Trump suggested that changes made to the voting process in multiple states, including Georgia, invalidated those contests. This is coupled with the claims of voter fraud in the election that Trump and his allies have cited to protest President-elect Joe Biden’s victory, although federal and state officials say there is no evidence showing widespread fraud.

“Before even discussing the massive corruption which took place in the 2020 Election, which gives us far more votes than is necessary to win all of the Swing States (only need three), it must be noted that the State Legislatures were not in any way responsible for the massive … changes made to the voting process, rules and regulations, many made hastily before the election, and therefore the whole State Election is not legal or Constitutional,” Trump said. “Additionally, the Georgia Consent Decree is Unconstitutional & the State 2020 Presidential Election … is therefore both illegal and invalid, and that would include the two current Senatorial Elections. In Wisconsin, Voters not asking for applications invalidates the Election. All of this without even discussing the millions of fraudulent votes that were cast or altered!” (Read more from “Trump Says Senate Runoff Elections in Georgia Are ‘Illegal and Invalid'” HERE)

Revealed: Woman’s Relationship to Nashville Bomber Anthony Quinn Warner

The woman who was given two homes by Nashville RV bomber Anthony Quinn Warner was the daughter of one of his friends, the attacker’s former lawyer said.

Los Angeles-based music exec Michelle Swing, 29, became the heart of numerous conspiracy theories after she was gifted the double deeds — including Warner’s own home exactly a month before his Christmas morning blast.

A lawyer who represented him at the time, Ray Throckmorton III, told The Tennessean that the crazed, hate-filled, paranoid loner told him Swing was just “the child of a friend of his.”

“I remember him saying he knew her mother personally,” recalled Throckmorton, who said he “never asked and never made any inquires or any connections as to why he wanted to do that.” . . .

Swing — who did not sign the quitclaim transfers — has insisted she did not even know Warner had given her his $160,000 Antioch home in November. She has refused to discuss their relationship, saying that she has been “told to direct everything else to FBI.” (Read more from “Revealed: Woman’s Relationship to Nashville Bomber Anthony Quinn Warner” HERE)
