Female Child Molester Charged With Human Smuggling During Traffic Stop

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a female child molester after she allegedly attempted to smuggle two migrants into the California interior.

El Centro Border Patrol Station agents patrolling Interstate 8 near the California border with Mexico stopped a woman they suspected to be smuggling illegal aliens from Mexico. The agents stopped the driver and conducted an immigration interview on the two passengers, according to information obtained from El Centro Sector Border Patrol officials.

The agents identified the passengers as Mexican nationals illegally present in the United States, officials stated. The agents arrested the driver, a U.S. citizen, and the two Mexican nationals and transported them to the El Centro Station for processing.

During a records check, the agents discovered that a California court in San Bernadino convicted the female driver in 2017 for “Annoying and Molesting Children,” officials reported. The San Bernadino court sentenced her to 20 days in jail and 36 months probation. (Read more from “Female Child Molester Charged With Human Smuggling During Traffic Stop” HERE)

GOP Rep. Recovers From COVID, Credits Hydroxychloroquine

Rep. Louie Gohmert has recovered from the coronavirus and plans to donate plasma in the coming days, he told the Washington Examiner. . .

Gohmert tested positive for the coronavirus on July 29 after taking a test at the White House ahead of a planned trip with President Trump.

Gohmert drove to Texas to self-quarantine and suffered several days of mild symptoms, including fatigue, but is now free of the virus, he said. . .

Gohmert, who turns 67 next week, told the Washington Examiner he believes his recovery was aided by the use of vitamin supplements and hydroxychloroquine, the drug touted by Trump and some medical doctors that is not endorsed by the Food and Drug Administration for use in treating the coronavirus.

“I had a couple of bad days, but I started taking hydroxychloroquine, [Zithromax], and zinc, along with vitamins D3 and C,” he said. “And I took a steroid nebulizer for a few days to help coat the alveoli in the lungs and protect them somewhat from the COVID virus attack.” (Read more from “GOP Rep. 18 People Shot in Less Than Two Hours During Bloody Night in Ohio

At least 18 people were shot, including four killed, as gunfire erupted in several places around the city overnight, authorities said Sunday.

Officers responded just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday to the Avondale neighborhood and found 21-year-old Antonio Blair with gunshot wounds, police said in a statement. He was taken to University Hospital and died there, they said. Three other gunshot victims were also taken to the hospital. . .

News outlets reported the shootings took place within 60 to 90 minutes of each other, but Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate told reporters that they “seem to be separate independent incidents but horrific and tragic.” (Read more from “18 People Shot in Less Than Two Hours During Bloody Night in Ohio” HERE)

Kamala Harris Responds to VP Eligibility Concerns

Sen. Kamala Harris hit back at a conspiracy theory about her eligibility for the vice presidency in an interview on Sunday, slamming the Trump campaign for engaging in “dirty tactics.”

Harris, during an interview with The Grio, was asked about the theory which questioned whether she is ineligible because her parents were born outside the United States. . .

When asked Sunday for reaction, Harris said: “Look, I’m very clear-eyed about the fact that they are going to engage, as you said, in what they have done throughout this administration, which is just, let’s just be very candid and straightforward, they’re going to engage in lies, they’re going to engage in deception, they’re going to engage in an attempt to distract from the real issues that are impacting the American people.”

“I expect they will engage in dirty tactics and this is going to be a knockdown drag out,” Harris said. “And we’re ready. And we’re ready.”

“There is so much at stake in this election and I’m prepared to fight, because this is a fight that is for something, not against something,” she said. “This is a fight for where we need to be. And as you’ve heard me say many times, I’m very, very clear that we need to focus on what can be unburdened by what has been.” (Read more from “Kamala Harris Responds to VP Eligibility Concerns” HERE)

Fox News Host Is Shocked the Biden Campaign Isn’t Doing This Before the Convention; Tensions Linger Between Biden and Obama Camps

By Townhall. “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace is in disbelief over the Biden campaign’s decision not to have any top officials appear on the Sunday talk shows the weekend before the Democratic National Convention. The veteran journalist called it “the damnedest thing [he’s] ever seen” in a Friday interview with Guy Benson on Fox News Radio.

“So I’ve been doing Sunday shows with conventions. I started on Meet the Press in 1988. I’ve been doing it on and off. For what? What is that? Thirty-two years,” Wallace said. “And it always happens that the Sunday before the convention, the campaign puts out top officials to preview the convention and to say this is what we’re gonna try to get accomplished.”

The Democratic National Convention, which will be virtual this year, is set to kick off next week, with vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris set to take the virtual stage on Wednesday and Biden slated sometime Thursday evening. Both will make their remarks from Delaware without a crowd, consistent with the Biden campaign’s basement strategy where the Democratic candidate largely refrains from the campaign trail and limits his exposure to the press. Friday marked the third day in a row that Biden and Harris have refused to take questions from the media.

Wallace told Benson that “Fox News Sunday” had assumed all week long that a top official from the Biden camp would make an appearance on the program. But Wallace was shocked to learn that no one from the Biden campaign was willing to appear.

“And at first I thought, well, maybe it’s because it’s Fox News and they’re boycotting us,” Wallace said. “No, they’re not putting anybody out on any of the Sunday shows.” (Read more from “Fox News Host Is Shocked the Biden Campaign Isn’t Doing This Before the Convention” HERE)

Tensions Linger Between Biden and Obama Camps Throughout 2020 Primary Campaign: Report

By Fox News. Despite the best-friend bond Joe Biden touts with former President Obama, tensions have lingered between the two statesmen over their vastly different governing styles, according to a Politico report.

To start, a number of anonymously sourced quotes from Obama leaked out throughout the 2020 Biden campaign where the former president allegedly expressed doubts about his former running mates’ fitness for office.

“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up,” one Democrat who spoke to the former president recalled him saying.

When lamenting his own diminishing relationship with the current Democratic electorate, particularly in Iowa, Obama reportedly told one 2020 candidate: “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”

Some Biden aides pointed out that, when Obama’s endorsement of Biden in 2020 finally did arrive, it didn’t have nearly the energy of his endorsement of Hillary Clinton. (Read more from “Tensions Linger Between Biden and Obama Camps Throughout 2020 Primary Campaign: Report” HERE)

Hillary Clinton Does Not Have to for Deposition in Lawsuit Over Emails

A panel of three judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled unanimously on Friday that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton does not have to sit for a deposition regarding her intentions with using a private email server for government business, after all. . .

In March, a district court judge ordered Clinton to appear under oath to answer questions for a lawsuit brought by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, saying that her previous written responses “left many more questions than answers.”

But Clinton appealed the decision, and the appeals court agreed, issuing a ruling saying that she has already explained her reasoning before Congress and to Judge Emmet Sullivan — the judge who refuses to drop charges against Gen. Michael Flynn — and therefore “the deposition of Secretary Clinton, if allowed to proceed, at best seems likely to stray into topics utterly unconnected with the instant FOIA suit, and at worst could be used as a vehicle for harassment or embarrassment.”

Judicial Watch also asked to depose Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s former chief of staff at the State Department, and that deposition will be carried out. (Read more from “Hillary Clinton Does Not Have to for Deposition in Lawsuit Over Emails” HERE)

CDC Says Recovered COVID-19 Patients Are Protected for up to Three Months; Study: Intense Workouts Heighten Risk for COVID

By Washington Examiner. . .The updated guidance states, “People who have tested positive for COVID-19 do not need to quarantine or get tested again for up to three months as long as they do not develop symptoms again.” It’s the first acknowledgment from the agency that infected people may gain immunity for a period of time.

It is unclear what the CDC based that recommendation on. Only two studies have examined the duration of immunity for people who have recovered from a coronavirus infection. One study, published in Nature Medicine, examined 37 asymptomatic and 37 symptomatic patients in China and found that “antibodies in a high proportion of individuals who recovered from [the coronavirus] infection start to decrease within 2–3 months after infection.” (Read more from “CDC Says Recovered COVID-19 Patients Are Protected for up to Three Months” HERE)

Intense Workouts Can Stress Immune System, Heighten Risk of Respiratory Illnesses, Coronavirus: Study

By Fox News. Extreme exercise routines like marathon running, Crossfit and working out to exhaustion could make some individuals more vulnerable to contracting COVID-19, new research suggests.

Doctors at the American College of Sports Medicine say that some high-intensity forms of fitness can increase a person’s risk of developing the new coronavirus because of increased stress to the immune system that makes it harder to fight off viruses for a short period of time.

“This may not be the time to train for peak performance,” doctors note in the August edition of ACSM’s “Current Sports Medicine Reports,” explaining that this is highly important for those with a heightened risk for coronavirus, who should “refrain from exhaustive exercise,” unusually high exercise workloads” and “overtraining.”

After a high-intensity workout like long-distance running or heavy lifting, ACSM Dr. Thomas Best, a team physician at the University of Miami, tells Fox News the immune system becomes suppressed for a couple of weeks following the exhaustive spurt of exercise, which can increase the risk for viral illnesses like COVID-19.

“High intensity can have short-term detrimental effects — more specific is COVID-19, and the risks to the cardiovascular system,” Best said. (Read more from “Intense Workouts Can Stress Immune System, Heighten Risk of Respiratory Illnesses, Coronavirus: Study” HERE)

President Trump Accepts Endorsement From New York City Police Union

The New York City Police Benevolent Association endorsed President Donald Trump on Friday – a union representing 24,000 police officers in the city.

Trump welcomed a group of enthusiastic New York City officers to his club in Bedminster, New Jersey, for an event to announce the endorsement.

The police union president, Patrick Lynch, gave a passionate speech thanking the president for standing up for law enforcement at a time when many were afraid to do so. Lynch said:

I cannot remember when we’ve ever endorsed for the president of the United States until now. That’s how important this is. …. Mr. President, we’re fighting for our lives out there we don’t want this to spread to the country, we need your strong voice across the country.

Trump delivered a speech warning of the dangers they were facing if former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris won the presidential election. (Read more from “President Trump Accepts Endorsement From New York City Police Union” HERE)

Durham Investigation: Corrupt FBI Attorney Who Falsified Carter Page FISA Warrant, Expected to Plead Guilty

A top FBI lawyer who fabricated evidence in a federal spy warrant against Trump campaign affiliate Carter Page is expected to plead guilty to federal charges brought by U.S. Attorney John Durham. Kevin Clinesmith, who is expected to admit to deliberately fabricating evidence in a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant application, used to spy on a former campaign affiliate of President Donald Trump, was a top attorney in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) and a key agency attorney under fired former FBI Director James Comey.

Clinesmith is the first individual to be charged as part of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the efforts in 2016 and 2017 to spy on the Trump campaign and Trump administration. Both Durham and Attorney General William Barr stated at the conclusion of the OIG investigation of the Page FISA warrants that they had reason to believe the entire investigation of Trump, which allegedly began in late July of 2016, was not legally predicated. Durham was tapped by Barr in May of 2019 to investigate the Russian collusion hoax and determine whether any criminal charges against those who perpetrated it were warranted.

Clinesmith’s deliberate falsification of a federal spy warrant was first revealed last December following a lengthy investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG), headed by Michael Horowitz. Horowitz and his team wrote in a 434-page report that Clinesmith — identified in the report as “OGC Attorney” — altered an email from a separate U.S. federal agency, believed to be the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), to falsely state that Page had never worked with the CIA to investigate suspected Russia agents operating within the U.S. In fact, as Clinesmith was told by the operative, Page had worked with the CIA previously, as well as with the FBI. . .

Clinesmith’s name first made national news after his anti-Trump text messages to another FBI attorney, Sally Moyer, surfaced following a separate OIG investigation of anti-Trump bias from top FBI attorneys and investigators. Former News Host Uses Racist Term While Condemning Trump Supporters’ Alleged Racism

Former MSNBC host Donny Deutsch apologized on Friday for using the term “yellow man” while criticizing “racist” Americans who trusted information from President Trump about the coronavirus pandemic.

Referring to a recent NPR-PBS-Marist poll, Deutsch said the approximately one-third of Americans who say they trust Trump must be racists. “How do one in three Americans still believe this man about corona[virus] or anything?” Deutsch asked on Friday’s “Morning Joe.”

“And the answer is only one thing,” he went on. “One in three Americans are racists, one in three Americans are terrified that this country, by the year 2040, is not going to be majority White — that the Black man or brown man or the yellow man or woman are going to come and take their jobs and take away their suburbs.”

Later in the program, Deutsch said “yellow man” was a “stupid term” and he apologized if he offended anybody.

“[I] was just trying to make a point and I apologize if I offended anybody. People know me, know that — where my heart is,” he said. (Read more from “Former News Host Uses Racist Term While Condemning Trump Supporters’ Alleged Racism” HERE)
