Nunes Wants to Interview Alleged Steele Dossier Source

The top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee signaled his desire to interview mysterious Trump-Russia figure Sergei Millian, allegedly an unwitting source for British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s dossier, after details emerged about the Russia investigation.

Rep. Devin Nunes of California said his own investigation of the Crossfire Hurricane investigators has zeroed in on three Russian Americans, telling Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures he believed the most important was Millian, following recent revelations from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI’s Russia investigation.

“Because of new information that has come out because of the Horowitz report that’s declassified that we’ve been talking about for a long time and the FISAs, we now are targeting what appear to be three Russian-Americans,” Nunes said. “I think the most important one is somebody that we actually asked to come to our committee named Sergei Millian. He is hiding somewhere around the globe — we don’t know exactly what country he’s in. But we really would like Sergei to come forward and talk to us because, either he was, you know, working for Fusion GPS and the Clinton campaign and dirtying up Trump people, or it’s quite possible that he may have been framed.”

Millian, an American citizen who was born in Belarus when it was still part of the Soviet Union, was named Siarhei Kukuts at birth but changed it as an adult. He went to school in Minsk, where he reportedly trained as a military translator, and he moved to the United States in the early 2000s. When living in Atlanta, he founded a trade group called the Russian American Chamber of Commerce in the USA and has claimed to have high-level Russian government contacts, though he has denied any connection to Russian intelligence. Millian also claimed to have business ties with Trump associates.

A Twitter account purporting to belong to Millian responded to Nunes on Sunday. “Dear Congressman Devin Nunes, thank you for your very public appeal on Maria Bartiromo and Fox News,” the alleged Millian account said. “Please follow me on Twitter. Schumer Proposing Measure to Block Trump’s Name From Future Coronavirus Relief Checks

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer reportedly will propose a measure that would block President Trump from having his name appear on any future coronavirus relief checks, as part of a potential “Phase 4” stimulus package.

Politico reported the provision will be titled the “No PR Act,” and would ban the use of federal funds to promote Trump or Vice President Pence’s names or signatures.

“President Trump unfortunately appears to see the pandemic as just another opportunity to promote his own political interests,” Schumer, D-N.Y., told Politico. “The No PR Act puts an end to the president’s exploitation of taxpayer money for promotional material that only benefits his re-election campaign.” . . .

Schumer’s expected provision comes after the president’s name appeared on millions of economic stimulus checks sent to Americans as part of the “Phase 3” coronavirus relief package, which totaled more than $2.2 trillion counting the relief payments and a variety of other programs.

The president’s name appeared on paper checks going to some Americans, while others received their relief payments via direct deposit. The president’s name, “President Donald J. Trump,” appeared in the memo section on the left hand side of those paper checks, but his signature was not included. Those who received their payment via direct deposit did not have anything including Trump’s name. Former ICE Chief Says a Biden Victory Would Lead to ‘Chaos’ at the Border

Tom Homan, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), predicted a dire situation at the U.S.-Mexico border if former Vice President Joe Biden emerges victorious in the November elections in an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation.

If Biden is elected president and follows through on many of the campaign promises he has made, there will be a return to “chaos” at the southern border, including more drugs smuggled to the United States, more rapes of migrant women and ultimately more deaths, Homan said.

“It’s going to be chaos,” the former ICE chief told the DCNF when asked about a possible Biden victory.

Homan pointed to the sharp reduction in illegal immigration in the past months under the Trump administration, a consequence, he said, that is directly attributable to the actions taken by the president.

State Issues Disturbing Do-Not-Resuscitate Guideline for Cardiac Patients

New York state just issued a drastic new guideline urging emergency services workers not to bother trying to revive anyone without a pulse when they get to a scene, amid an overload of coronavirus patients.

While paramedics were previously told to spend up to 20 minutes trying to revive people found in cardiac arrest, the change is “necessary during the COVID-19 response to protect the health and safety of EMS providers by limiting their exposure, conserve resources, and ensure optimal use of equipment to save the greatest number of lives,’’ according to a state Health Department memo issued last week. . .

“They’re not giving people a second chance to live anymore,’’ Oren Barzilay, head of the city union whose members include uniformed EMTs and paramedics, fumed of state officials. . .

Earlier this month, the Regional Emergency Services Council of New York, which oversees the city’s ambulance service, issued a new guideline that said cardiac-arrest patients whose hearts can’t be restarted at the scene should no longer be taken to the hospital for further life-saving attempts. U.S. Debt Exceeds Size of Economy for First Time Since World War II; Triple Digit Inflation on Horizon; But Mnuchin Says U.S. Economy to Reopen Next Month and Then ‘Really Bounce Back’

By Washington Examiner. The U.S. deficit is expected to be $3.7 trillion in 2020, according to the Congressional Budget Office, driving the federal debt to exceed the size of the economy for the first time since World War II.

The deteriorating outlook is a result of the economic havoc being wreaked by the coronavirus and the federal response. Spending has been driven up by $2.7 trillion due to economic relief legislation, and the dramatic drop in business activity is expected to gut revenue collections.

Going into the crisis, the United States was already on shaky ground fiscally, with the CBO projecting annual $1 trillion deficits as far as the eye could see given the long-term crisis facing entitlements as the ranks of retirees grow and healthcare costs rise. National Review: Friedman Model Predicts Triple Digit Inflation

By Martin Hutchinson. In the six weeks to April 6, M2 money supply has increased by 7.7 percent, an annual compounded rate of 90.4 percent. That reflects all the money the Fed has pumped into the system; the statistics are not wrong. But at that rate of money creation, if Friedman is right, we should get inflation close to triple digits, 18 to 24 months from now. You can’t produce money at that rate without the dollar going the way of the continental, the assignat, the reichsmark or the 1946 Hungarian pengo, exchanged for the new forint at a conversion rate of 1029 to 1. . .

Here we have around 20 million people who have been forcibly prevented from working by the government and the coronavirus. At least in the short term, there is no way to put them back to work and make them productive. The output they would have produced is lost forever; a restaurant meal not served in April cannot be served in August. Hence the extra money inserted into the economy has no goods to buy. That is the position we had in World War II — “too much money chasing too few goods.” It caused inflation.

[Before the Coronavirus panic,] global supply chains were optimized on the “just in time” principle. That meant if any one supplier in the chain stopped production, the entire output had to be halted until alternative suppliers could be found. So production will not be able to restart unless all the suppliers are in place. Some key workers will be missing, some key factories will have gone out of business.

If you think of the world economy as a gigantic machine, it will no longer be operating smoothly; horrible grinding noises will emit from its innards, and smoke will billow everywhere. Inevitably, that will cause increased costs; it has to. Then there are the costs of shortening the global supply chains and perhaps re-domesticating some production. Entirely without economic theory, simply from observing how the world economy will operate for the rest of 2020 and probably 2021, you come to an inevitable conclusion: There will be inflation. U.S. Economy to Reopen in May and June and Then ‘Really Bounce Back,’ Mnuchin Says, but Others Are Thinking Fall

By Market Watch. The U.S. economy will start to recover in the third quarter after a period of reopening in May and June, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Sunday.

“As we begin to reopen the economy in May and June, you’re going to see the economy really bounce back in July, August and September,” Mnuchin said in an interview on Fox News Sunday.

The trillions of dollars in government spending “will have a significant impact” to spur growth, he said. “As businesses begin to open, you’re going to see the demand side of the economy rebound.”

Mnuchin noted his forecast is based on assumptions about how the pandemic proceeds. Reopening will have to be balanced with increased testing, he said.

North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un Rumored to Be Dead, Brain Dead or Just Fine

By New York Post. North Korea’s Kim Jong Un is either dead, brain dead or just fine, depending on which Asian media report you believe.

The dictator, nicknamed “Rocket Man” by President Trump for his love of missile launches and nukes, underwent a stent procedure earlier this month that started a swirl of international speculation.

A Hong Kong broadcast network claimed Saturday that Kim died, citing a “very solid source.” A Japanese magazine, meanwhile, reported late Friday that he is in “a vegetative state.” On Kim’s home turf, the North Korean media has acted as if everything is perfectly normal.

Other unconfirmed reports, attributed to senior Community Party sources in Beijing, claimed Kim succumbed when his surgeon botched the minor operation because his hands were shaking so badly. . .

One Chinese medic told the Japanese magazine that the leader clutched his chest and fell to the ground on a visit to the countryside earlier this month. A doctor accompanying Kim performed CPR and took him to a nearby hospital, where apparently the procedure was performed. U.S. and South Korean Spies Do Not Believe That Kim Jong Un Is Dead, After Satellites Pictured His Train at an Elite Coastal Resort

By Business Insider. US intelligence agencies do not believe that reports spreading across the internet of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s death are accurate, The Washington Post reported.

Three government officials familiar with the matter told the publication that US and South Korean intelligence believe that Kim is still alive.

Satellite images from a Washington-based North Korean monitoring project, 38 North, showed the leader’s train last week at Wonsan, a coastal resort in the country. “We understand that Chairman Kim Jong Un has been in Wonsan this week,” a South Korean intelligence official told the publication.

Rumors have been swirling about Kim’s health since he missed the April 15 public events celebrating the birth of his grandfather, who founded the regime Kim now presides over. More Fake News: Poison Control Centers Are Not Reporting a ‘Spike’ in Calls Because of Trump; YouTube Removes Video Showing Potential Internal UVA Light Treatment for Coronavirus

By PJ Media. . .Trump didn’t recommend injecting yourself with disinfectant or bleach. But his actual response was so convoluted and inartful, that it could easily be read that way — as long as you took it out of context. . .

Naturally, the next step in developing the narrative is to “prove” that the American people are following Trump’s recommendation and ingesting disinfectant. Sure enough, the New York Daily News headlined a piece “A spike in New Yorkers ingesting household cleaners following Trump’s controversial coronavirus comments.”

Elizabeth Nolan Brown of Reason.com took on the thankless task of revealing the incredible bias of the story.

Fearing that you ingested something doesn’t jibe with having intentionally consumed that substance.

The authors of the Daily News piece, Anna Sanders and Chris Sommerfeldt, try to circumvent this inconvenient fact by noting that over the same time period in 2019, the Poison Control Center “only handled 13 similar cases.” And while this time, nine calls were about possible Lysol exposure and ten about bleach, last year’s calls contained “no cases reported about Lysol exposure and only two were specifically in regards to bleach.”

YouTube Removes Biotech Company’s Video Showing Potential Internal UVA Light Treatment for Coronavirus

By PJ Media. . .In the wake of the press briefing where President Trump touted the possibility of using UV light to destroy the coronavirus, a biotech company called Aytu BioScience has been developing a UV light treatment called Healight, and posted a video to YouTube describing the treatment and its potential. It has since been taken down for violating YouTube’s community guidelines. The product has not been reviewed by the FDA, and it’s not yet been demonstrated to be an effective treatment, but a study from the team published in 2019 suggests that “UVA therapy can potentially provide a safe and effective novel approach to antimicrobial treatment via phototherapy on internal organs.”

The video was also removed from Vimeo, another video sharing site.

It Appears John Brennan Pulled a Deep State Move to Benefit Hillary Clinton

By Townhall. . . So, what’s new with this latest document? Well, for starters, Fred Fleitz, the former Chief of Staff to the National Security Council and ex-CIA analyst, wrote an op-ed citing the many alarming tidbits, namely that a lot of the report is blacked out. Also, yes, the Senate Committee is bipartisan, but with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), an alleged leaker and liar, muddying the waters on the other end of the pond—there’s no way to accept any assessment on this and the bias doesn’t stop with Schiff. Yes, Schiff who met with the so-called Ukraine whistleblower prior to him filing his complaint against the president which got the impeachment Hail Mary effort going. Schiff knew the whistleblower, met with him and weaponized his complaint to be used in a pathetic impeachment push that distracted the nation from preparing for the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak. Schiff said he didn’t have contact. Even The Washington Post had to call him out for that, but sorry, let’s return to this Russia nonsense. It would seem that former CIA Director John Brennan allegedly suppressed information collected that pointed another conclusion: the Russians would benefit more from a Hillary win in the 2016 election. Also, like Schiff, his review was biased. Fleitz has more:

…although the protocols require intelligence community assessments to be “community products” and vetted with all intelligence agencies and analysts with equities in a given subject, only three intelligence agencies were asked to draft this assessment: the CIA, National Security Agency and FBI.

With the 14 other intelligence agencies left out, the three participating agencies included only two dozen “handpicked” analysts. Other intelligence agencies working on this issue, such as the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Department of Homeland Security, were excluded.

In addition, House Intelligence Committee staff revealed the actual drafting of the intelligence community assessment was done by three close associates of former CIA Director Brennan, who has proven to be the most politicized intelligence chief in American history.

Contrary to common practice for controversial intelligence community assessments, Brennan’s team allowed no dissenting views or even an annex with reviews by outside experts.

Ex-NSC Chief: House Intelligence Committee Staff Found John Brennan ‘Suppressed’ Russia Evidence

By Washington Examiner. House Intelligence Committee staff said former CIA Director John Brennan “suppressed” intelligence indicating that Russia wanted Hillary Clinton to win the 2016 election, according to John Bolton’s former chief of staff.

The Senate Intelligence Committee released a report on Tuesday that defended the 2017 intelligence community assessment on Russian election interference and determined with “moderate” to “high” confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin sought to boost President Trump’s 2016 election chances.

One day later, Fred Fleitz, a former CIA officer and National Security Council chief of staff, wrote in a Fox News opinion piece that House Intelligence Committee members “found the opposite” motivations for Russia to interfere in the presidential contest. . .

The Senate intelligence panel’s 158-page bipartisan report, which was heavily redacted, said investigators found no evidence of political pressure to reach a specific conclusion and determined that the assessment by the CIA, FBI, and National Security Agency “presents a coherent and well-constructed intelligence basis for the case of unprecedented Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”

Biden Makes Outrageous Claim Trump Will Cancel November Election Date; Sorry Attempt to Draw Attention Away From Video Substantiating Assault Against Staffer?

Biden, while speaking at a virtual fundraiser on Thursday evening, said the president would try to postpone the election because “that’s the only way he thinks he can possibly win.”

“Mark my words: I think he is going to try to kick back the election somehow; come up with some rationale why it can’t be held,” Biden said. “Imagine threatening not to fund the post office. Now, what in God’s name is that about? Other than trying to let the word out that he’s going to do all he can to make it very hard for people to vote. That’s the only way he thinks he can possibly win.”

Decades Old Larry King Clip Helps Substantiate Staffer’s Claim Against Biden

By Joseph Wulfsohn. A resurfaced clip of “Larry King Live” from 1993 appears to include the mother of Tara Reade — who has accused Joe Biden of past sexual assault while in the Senate — alluding to “problems” her daughter faced while working as a staffer for the then-U.S. senator from Delaware.

In a telephone interview with Fox News on Friday night, Reade confirmed that her mother called in to the show. Biden’s presidential campaign has adamantly denied Reade’s allegations but the video could be cited as evidence supporting Reade’s allegation – even though her late mother, in the clip, does not specifically refer to a sexual assault claim.

The Intercept on Friday first reported the transcript of a broadcast from Aug. 11, 1993, of a woman from San Luis Obispo County, Calif., calling in to the show about her daughter’s experience on Capitol Hill. (Read more from this story HERE)

Top Dem Operative Accused of Illegally Profiting From His Political Empire by Conservative Group

A conservative group has filed complaints with the IRS accusing leading liberal activist David Brock of illegally profiting from the vast network of groups he has built within the Democratic Party’s infrastructure.

The complaints, which were filed by the Patriots Foundation, a right-leaning nonprofit, and reviewed by The Daily Beast, detail a series of transactions that, the group says, show the injection of money from a tax-exempt group Brock founded into a private, for-profit news business that he owns.

“These complaints we filed provide damning indictment of serious allegations about how his organizations have circumvented rules and exploited the tax-exempt status of the organizations for personal benefit and partisan political purposes, and potentially siphoning millions for improper purposes,” Patriots Foundation co-founder Craig Robinson told The Daily Beast in a statement.

The nonprofit at issue is the American Bridge 21st Century Foundation, and it’s part of a constellation of entities that Brock has seeded over the years and which he tasked in early 2017 to, in his words, “kick Donald Trump’s ass.” The foundation is the “dark money” affiliate of AB PAC, a super PAC that is pouring millions of dollars into an effort to defeat Trump in November.
