Firestorm Over ‘Trump-Ukraine Scandal’ – Here’s How the President Responded

The latest Trump administration scandal that has consumed the mainstream media for the last 24 hours centers around the allegation that President Trump “repeatedly pressured” the president of Ukraine to investigate the son of former Vice President Joe Biden. While Trump’s critics are sounding the alarm over the allegedly scandalous call and “pressure” campaign, President Trump made clear in a comments Friday that he did nothing wrong and this is just “fake news” business as usual.

“The Radical Left Democrats and their Fake News Media partners, headed up again by Little Adam Schiff, and batting Zero for 21 against me, are at it again!” Trump tweeted Friday. “They think I may have had a ‘dicey’ conversation with a certain foreign leader based on a ‘highly partisan’ whistleblower[‘s] statement. Strange that with so many other people hearing or knowing of the perfectly fine and respectful conversation, that they would not have also come forward. Do you know the reason why they did not? Because there was nothing said wrong, it was pitch perfect!”

The tweets echo equally dismissive comments Trump made to the press Friday, stating that comments he made during his call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were “totally appropriate,” and saying when pressed about asking him to investigate Biden, “It doesn’t matter what I discussed.” Trump also suggested that “somebody ought to look into that.”

The Biden matter involves the then-vice president pressuring Ukraine to oust a prosecutor general who investigated a gas company, Burisma Group, for whom his son, Hunter Biden, served as a board member. Biden says he pressed for the ouster of the prosecutor not to protect his son, but because he failed to adequately address the country’s corruption problems.

As detailed by The Daily Wire, the latest Trump scandal started with another anonymously sourced and rather vague report published by The Washington Post on Wednesday about a whistleblower making an unspecified major accusation about Trump’s conversation with a foreign leader. By Friday, The Wall Street Journal was reporting that “Trump repeatedly pressed Ukraine president to investigate Biden’s son.” (Read more from “Firestorm Over ‘Trump-Ukraine Scandal’ – Here’s How the President Responded” HERE)

Pakistani Illegal Alien Admits to Killing Daughter and Grandson

As Texas officials like Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick search for solutions to mass shootings and focus on guns and background checks, they might want to search for solutions to more avoidable murders committed by illegal aliens with all sorts of weapons and motivations.

According to local media, a probable cause statement from Corpus Christi police states that Mohammad Sahi, 72, approached neighbors covered in blood last Thursday and told them to call police. Sahi then confessed to the two officers arriving at the scene to murdering his 47-year-old daughter and 18-year-old grandson by beating them with a stick. Another grandson was found in the house severely beaten and barely alive.

Sahi appeared in court on Monday and is being charged for two murders and one aggravated assault. He confessed to the crimes speaking in his native Punjabi through an interpreter.

ICE spokesman Tim Oberle confirmed with CR that ICE lodged a detainer on September 13 following his arrest and that Sahi is indeed an illegal alien from Pakistan. However, given that bail is set for $2.5 million, it’s unlikely he will be released from Nueces County Jail. If prosecutors obtain a conviction leading to capital punishment or life without parole, the ICE detainer will become moot, because he will never be released and deported.

This is obviously a shocking and extremely bizarre case. Police have not posited any theory of a motive in this case as to why a 72-year-old man would kill his daughter and grandson. But in 2016, Amnesty International spotlighted Pakistan in particular as a hotbed for the practice of family members murdering women for bringing shame to their family in some form. They estimate that roughly 1,000 such killings take place every year.

On January 27, 2017, as part of the “travel ban” executive order, Trump called for data collection on certain criminal activity that seems to be associated with the same countries listed in the visa moratorium. Sec. 10 of the order called upon DHS and DOJ to publish a semi-annual report on the number of foreign nationals charged on terrorism-related grounds. A lesser known part of that order also called for “information regarding the number and types of acts of gender-based violence against women, including honor killings, in the United States by foreign nationals.”

Only one DHS/DOJ report has been issued pursuant to this order, and very little was published on that section of the order. The report, from January 2018, noted that there is no reliable data on honor killings because the federal government doesn’t directly track them. It’s part of a broader problem of our government failing to track foreign national crimes, transnational gang and cartel crimes, and foreign terrorism crimes.

Again, there is no evidence yet that this was an honor killing, but at present, there doesn’t appear to be any logical motive at all. The more we continue mass migration from countries with these habits without any thorough vetting, the more likely we will continue to import those who subscribe to this ideology among those who don’t.

Coincidentally, just last week in California, Rohail Sarwar, a recent arrival from Pakistan, was sentenced to life in prison for brutally stabbing a woman at a massage parlor after frequently demanding sex from the employees and sexually assaulting them throughout the summer of 2018. Yolo County Judge Paul Richardson referred to the murder of Junying Lu, which occurred last August, as one of the “most vicious” murders he’s seen. He was convicted on special murder charges and sexual assault. The family of the victim wanted the death penalty, but prosecutors pursued life without parole.

At one point during the trial, Sarwar’s mistress testified about his violence and his feelings toward women. Lloyd Billingsley, who covered the trial for the California Globe in July, reports that deputy district attorney Diane Ortiz told the court, “‘No’ is never an answer in Sarwar’s world,” referring to the culture of women submitting to men in Pakistan. During the testimony of the unnamed mistress, she described how her family wanted to send her back to Pakistan to be killed for having an affair with Sarwar.

During sentencing last Thursday, Junying Lu’s youngest daughter, Amy, blasted Sarwar’s culture of subjugating women and questioned why he had not been “kicked out of the United States,” according to Billingsley’s reporting of the victim impact statement. It’s unclear whether Sarwar is here legally or not.

While we are groping in the darkness trying to prevent heinous murders, it’s important to start with the voluntary policy of immigration and understand why we are needlessly bringing in problematic individuals. As we see with these two Pakistanis, when you import a violent culture, it doesn’t matter what sort of gun laws you have. One killed with a knife and one allegedly killed with a stick. In 2017, according to the FBI, almost four times as many people were killed by knives as by rifles. Also, more people were killed by blunt objects or by brute strength.

Last month, I reported on the case of Billy Chemirmir, a criminal alien from Kenya with a long rap sheet who is now accused of smothering 19 seniors to death in the Dallas area over the past three years. GOP leaders in the state have not uttered a word about this case. All of these murders could have been avoided had we closed multiple criminal alien loopholes that allowed this man to remain in the country.

Texas politicians who are focused on guns seem to be silent about criminal aliens we needlessly bring in who kill with all sorts of weapons. After all, it’s a lot easier to target an object that doesn’t have an entire grievance industry backing it than to require universal background checks on immigrants. Another Democrat Just Dropped out of the Presidential Race

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Friday morning he is dropping out of the 2020 presidential race.

“I feel like I contributed all I can to this primary election and it’s clearly not my time,” he said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “So I’m going to end my presidential campaign, continue my work as mayor of New York City and I’m going to keep speaking up for working people.” . . .

President Trump made fun of him on Twitter, joking that New York City “is devastated” that he’s returning to the city.

“Oh no, really big political news, perhaps the biggest story in years!” the president tweeted. “Part time Mayor of New York City, @BilldeBlasio, who was polling at a solid ZERO but had tremendous room for growth, has shocking dropped out of the Presidential race. NYC is devastated, he’s coming home!”

Media Ignores Deleted Tweet by Ilhan Omar that Suggests She Married Her Brother

A deleted tweet by Rep. Ilhan Omar that recently came to light shows her wishing a happy birthday to her father — a man with the same name as her brother.

It had been alleged that Omar married her brother in 2009 in order to ease his entrance to America. She identified the man she married, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, only as a “British citizen.”

But in 2013, Omar tweeted out birthday greetings to her father. The Washington Free Beacon’s Brent Scher points out the significance of the now-deleted tweet.

The 2013 post by Omar wishing a Happy Father’s Day to a man named “Nur Said” resurfaced late Monday night when Imam Mohamad Tawhidi pointed to it as further evidence that Omar’s previous husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, was her brother. In Somali culture, a man’s middle name is typically the name of his father. Omar deleted the tweet revealing her father’s name on Tuesday at 5:23 a.m., according to ProPublica’s tracker of deleted tweets.

. . .

Indeed, it’s not ironclad proof that Omar married her brother to knowingly violate immigration laws. “Nur Said” may be a very common name in Somalia. Even if it isn’t common, proving that Omar’s former husband was actually her brother wouldn’t be certain without a DNA test or reliable eyewitness testimony. Jeffrey Epstein Built Vast Fortune Through ‘Money Laundering, Spying and Arms Deals’; Why Did Jeffrey Epstein’s Private Jet Fly to Riyadh on the Eve of the 2016 Election?

By Radar Online. How did Jeffrey Epstein make his millions? The second episode of “Epstein: Devil in Darkness“ reveals some of his financier’s shady business practices and how he spent the money he made on them — namely, the lavish properties where he often entertained guests, including women who were allegedly and concerningly young.

“I was greatly impressed with his demeanor, his ability to understand complex securities underwritings and sales to investors,” Steven Hoffenburg, a former Wall Street executive said in particular about Epstein’s role in the infamous Towers Financial collapse when Hoffenburg was a chief executive officer. “He was also broke. He was literally without funds because he got into trouble in Europe.” Hoffenburg claimed that Epstein got involved in criminal activity including “money laundering, spying and arms deals in different countries overseas” to make money long before he ever got wrapped up with Towers Financial.

“Jeffrey Epstein participated full time and was a mastermind in that par of the Towers Financial crimes,” Hoffenburg explained in the podcast. When the Ponzi scheme collapsed in 1993, the exec was given 20 years in prison along with a $1 million fine and $463 million in restitution. Meanwhile, Epstein got away without charges. Instead, he made millions — and to this day, it’s not entirely clear how.

But with that money, Epstein bought properties. “The employees had to sign that they would never disclose any information,” Nancy Sowle revealed, while another former employee, Ean Royal, described one of the locations — a ranch — as “super lavish.” Epstein had a mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, which journalist Laura Goldman described in the podcast as being not “the grandest house on the block, but it was the most private.” He also owned a residence on 71st Street in Manhattan, which along with the Palm Beach home was allegedly the epicenter of his sex trafficking operation. Plus, there was the sprawling parcel of land in New Mexico he named Zorro Ranch. Several staff members from the property spoke out on the podcast and offered disturbing details about what transpired there. Why Did Jeffrey Epstein’s Private Jet Fly to Riyadh on the Eve of the 2016 Election?

By Insider. In August, Insider reported that Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet was spotted over the Arabian Peninsula on the eve of Election Day 2016. The available flight data was incomplete, however, leaving the Gulfstream’s final destination an open question. Now we have the answer.

According to the journalist Eric Rosenwald, who analyzed aviation data collected by the flight-tracking service Plane Finder, Epstein’s jet landed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital and largest city of Saudi Arabia, at 6:35 p.m. local time on November 7, 2016. The flight pattern provides significant new evidence of Epstein’s rumored ties to the kingdom and its ruling family. . .

Two people of note were in Riyadh at roughly the same time.

The first person is Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who at the time served as the kingdom’s Minister of Defense and Second Deputy Prime Minister. On November 8, the state-owned Saudi Press Agency reported that bin Salman, also known as MBS, and his father, the Saudi king, bestowed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., with the Order of King Abdulaziz, a civilian award for distinguished service to Saudi Arabia.

The second person is Jeff Bezos, the billionaire co-founder and CEO of Amazon. On November 9, the day Epstein’s jet returned to Paris, MBS held an unrelated meeting with Bezos, several Amazon executives, and two Saudi ministers. The Saudi Press Agency said they “discussed fields of cooperation and investment opportunities available according to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” the crown prince’s signature economic initiative.

Horrified bystanders in Menlo Park, California called 911 at about 11.30am on Thursday after an adult male jumped from the top of a four-story building on the 100 block of Jefferson Drive.

Paramedics rushed to Facebook’s sprawling campus and rendered first aid, but the victim was declared dead on the scene.

The deceased individual has not been publicly identified pending family notification, but Facebook confirmed in a statement to DailyMail.com that he was an employee. . .

‘We’re cooperating with police in their investigation and providing support to employees. While the family is being notified, we have not information to share,’ the statement continued. (Read more from “Facebook Employee Jumps to His Death from Roof of Company’s Headquarters” HERE)

Federal Judge Hands President Trump a Big Victory Against California

A federal judge knocked down a new Californian law requiring presidential candidates to disclose their tax returns in order to appear on primary ballots, which was clearly targeting President Donald Trump.

U.S. District Judge Morrison England Jr. issued the temporary injunction on Thursday and said he would put out a final order soon, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The law was seen as a swipe against Trump, who has resisted releasing his tax returns. His critics have accused him of covering up damaging information, but he is not required by law to release them, only by convention. . .

Judge England said that the law would cause “irreparable harm without temporary relief” for candidates including Trump. . .

California’s liberal lawmakers have emerged as some of the more vehement opponents of the president. On Wednesday, Gov. Newsom angrily denounced the president over his decision to end their waivers on federal automobile emission standards. Ed Buck, Dem Megadonor, Hit with Federal Charges

By Fox News. Ed Buck, a Los Angeles political activist and longtime donor to many prominent Democrats, was hit with a federal charge Thursday in the 2017 drug overdose death of 26-year-old Gemmel Moore.

Buck, 65, was charged with distributing methamphetamine resulting in Moore’s death.

Buck was charged earlier this week with causing the overdose of another man who escaped from his West Hollywood home this month. A third man, Timothy Dean, died of an overdose there in January. (Read more from “Ed Buck, Dem Megadonor, Hit with Federal Charges” HERE)

Ed Buck Tried to Stop Overdose Victim from Leaving His Apartment: Prosecutors

By The New York Post. Democratic donor Ed Buck tried to stop a man he’d allegedly injected with methamphetamine from leaving his home to call 911 as he overdosed, prosecutors said.

The emergency call on Sept. 11 ultimately led to the arrest of the wealthy LGBT activist — who’s previously dodged criminal charges in the overdose deaths of two other men at his Los Angeles apartment.

The latest victim, identified in court papers as Joe Doe, said Buck “personally and deliberately” administered a large dose of methamphetamine on Sept. 4 at Buck’s West Hollywood apartment, prosecutors said, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The man fled Buck’s home, fearing he was overdosing, to seek medical treatment. . .

Buck, who has donated to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, tried to stop the man from leaving. But he managed to escape anyway and called 911 from a gas station. (Read more from “Ed Buck Tried to Stop Overdose Victim from Leaving His Apartment: Prosecutors” HERE)

Here’s Why Adam Schiff Is Threatening to Sue the Trump Administration

By The Daily Caller. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff threatened Thursday to sue the Trump administration over an intelligence official’s whistleblower complaint, which the director of national intelligence has refused to provide to Congress.

“I would imagine if it comes down that we have to go to court to get this, that we will have a very good case to seek a temporary restraining order … or some form of relief because the inspector general has said this can not wait,” Schiff told reporters after members of the committee met privately with Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) Michael Atkinson.

“This is not a situation where we can afford to go through weeks or months of litigation in this court or that court. There’s an urgency here that I think the courts will recognize. I hope that’s not necessary,” Schiff said after the three-hour meeting.

The details of the complaint remain a mystery. Schiff said that Atkinson said he was unable to provide additional information about the complaint. Atkinson also declined to confirm a Washington Post report that the complaint, filed on Aug. 12, involves a phone call that President Donald Trump had with a foreign leader. Whistleblower Complaint, Reportedly on Trump ‘Promise’ to Foreign Leader, Touches off DC Firestorm

By Fox News. A whistleblower complaint that reportedly involved allegations President Trump made a troubling and unspecified “promise” to a foreign leader touched off a new Washington firestorm on Thursday, as the intelligence community’s top watchdog was questioned by Congress on the matter and the president adamantly denied the accusations.

The details surfaced overnight in a Washington Post report, but many specifics remain unclear including the identity of the foreign leader.

Fox News has not confirmed the report, and White House officials have not offered additional comment on the claims.

But Trump railed against the Post’s reporting in a flurry of tweets that alleged his communications with foreign leaders were being blown out of proportion.

“Another Fake News story out there – It never ends! Virtually anytime I speak on the phone to a foreign leader, I understand that there may be many people listening from various U.S. agencies, not to mention those from the other country itself. No problem!” Trump said. “Knowing all of this, is anybody dumb enough to believe that I would say something inappropriate with a foreign leader while on such a potentially ‘heavily populated’ call. I would only do what is right anyway, and only do good for the USA!” (Read more from “Whistleblower Complaint, Reportedly on Trump ‘Promise’ to Foreign Leader, Touches off DC Firestorm” HERE)

Elizabeth Warren Hires Lobbyist One Day After Releasing Plan Calling Lobbying ‘Legalized Bribery’

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren hired a Planned Parenthood lobbyist to a key role in her presidential campaign Tuesday, just one day after Warren announced a plan that would “end lobbying as we know it.”

Warren unveiled an anti-corruption plan Monday that would introduce a “cooling off” period for lobbyists before they can serve in government roles and would prohibit active lobbyists from donating to political campaigns, a practice Warren called “legalized bribery.”

“The fundamental promise of our democracy is that every voice matters,” Warren’s plan states. “But when lobbyists and big corporations can buy influence from politicians, that promise is broken. The first thing to do to fix it is to end lobbying as we know it.”

The next day, Kimberly Diaz Scott, who registered as a lobbyist for the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates as recently as January 2019, announced that she was leaving the organization to head up Warren’s campaign in Florida.

“I won’t be far from the movement, as I’m humbled and proud to announce my transition as the Florida State Director for Warren for President, assuring that we will continue to fight like hell to elect a brilliant leader who will work to protect the health, safety and future of ALL people,” Diaz wrote, the Miami Herald reported. “2020 is not for the rich or selfish, 2020 is for us.” (Read more from “Elizabeth Warren Hires Lobbyist One Day After Releasing Plan Calling Lobbying ‘Legalized Bribery’” HERE)
