Sad Hillary Attempts to Mock Trump Over ‘Fake News’

Hillary Clinton took to Twitter Monday to react to reports President Trump suggested nuking hurricanes in order to drive them away from the U.S. coast – a report the president has called “ridiculous” and “FAKE NEWS.” . . .

Axios claimed in a piece published Sunday that Trump floated nuking hurricanes to Homeland Security and national security officials as a potential solution to drive hurricanes away from the U.S. coast[:]

During one hurricane briefing at the White House, Trump said, “I got it. I got it. Why don’t we nuke them?” according to one source who was there. “They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they’re moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can’t we do that?” the source added, paraphrasing the president’s remarks.

. . .

However, Trump forcefully pushed back against the Axios report in a tweet Monday, calling it, “ridiculous” and “FAKE NEWS”:

Iran Just Told Its ‘Security Apparatuses,’ Aka Terrorists, to Go After an American Think Tank in Washington D.C.

Just as Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif was attending the G7 Summit as a surprise guest of French President Emmanuel Macron over the weekend, he issued a fatwah against the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, an American think tank based in Washington, D.C.

“The Foreign Ministry has announced the sanctions on the FDD and its CEO based on a law titled ‘Countering America’s Human Rights Violation and Adventurous and Terrorist Actions’ passed by the Iranian Parliament in 2017,” MEHR News Agency reported over the weekend. “Accordingly, taking any actions by the judicial and security apparatuses against the FDD and their Iranian and non-Iranian accomplices will be considered legitimate as their actions are against the Iran’s national security and the interests of Iranian people and government.”

Iran is calling their action against FDD “sanctions,” but as the think tank notes, the instruction to “security apparatuses” is a direct safety threat against its CEO, members and employees. . .

Tlaib Responds to Deadly Palestinian Terrorist Attack by Highlighting Tweet Blaming Israel and America

Late on Friday, something terrible happened in the West Bank: A premeditated, evil terrorist attack killed a teenage girl, and wounded two other members of her family, one very seriously. The story is heartbreaking and infuriating, and the details of the bombing itself are truly diabolical — via the Jerusalem Post:

The IDF late Friday afternoon was scouring the West Bank for the terrorists responsible for a terror attack that killed a teenage girl and wounded her father and brother near a natural spring close to the West Bank settlement of Dolev. The military said that an improvised explosive device (IED) had been used in the attack at the Ein Buvin spring. According to the police, it was determined that the IED had been planted earlier at the spring and remotely detonated when the family approached… Rina Shnerb, 17, of Lod, was critically wounded in the explosion at Ein Bubin spring and was treated at the scene before succumbing to her wounds. She was buried in her home city of Lod at 3.30 p.m., just one week after celebrating her birthday…Her father Rabbi Eitan Shnerb was moderately injured and his 19-year-old son Dvir is sedated and on life support with injuries to his entire body.

. . .

Nothing cries “bravery” like planting a bomb at a swimming spring and detonating it from afar, murdering a girl and badly maiming her brother. But such moral depravity is expected from Hamas, a vicious, amoral terrorist organization that the people of Gaza elected after Israel’s unilateral ‘land-for-peace’ pullout from the territory in 2005. In response to this heinous attack, US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, an anti-Israel zealot with serious anti-Semitic baggage, shared a tweet that blamed…the United States and Israel, of course:

What’s remarkable is that she likely believes that her tweet constitutes a condemnation of what happened, even though she criticizes the “occupation” and amplifies a morally-bereft sentiment that places blame on the governments of anti-terrorism countries, as opposed to the terrorists. Aside from the odious victim-blaming, invoking the “rightward drift” of Israel and America’s political leadership is also ahistorical garbage. Seattle Law Enforcement Boycotts Police Sharing Tool Because It Might Help ICE Catch Criminal Aliens

Democrats in Washington state will lose a critical investigative tool needed for apprehending dangerous criminals of all backgrounds in order to protect illegal alien criminals. To what lengths are sanctuary politicians willing to go in order to shield even the worst criminal aliens from detection? They are willing to burn down the rest of the criminal justice system and endanger all public safety if it means protecting just one more illegal alien sex offender or drunk driver.

Last week, KTTH, a conservative talk radio station in Seattle, reported that King County Sheriff Mitzi Johanknecht abruptly pulled her agency out of an important law enforcement sharing tool for fear that ICE would see the information put on it.

The Law Enforcement Information Exchange (LInX) is a database of crime incident reporting used by over 2,000 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to share information about criminal events in a given area of operations. It is designed and operated by the U.S. Navy.

LInX is very useful to detectives seeking to find fugitives or crack a case because they can draw upon arrest information put on the system by other law enforcement agencies. For example, if one agency is looking for a fugitive sex offender and he is pulled over for a traffic stop by another police department, LInX would be one of the first ways the detective would discover the criminal he is looking for.

Well, the system is effective enough in catching fugitives that King County, Washington, law enforcement feared that continued use of the system would violate the county’s ordinance of not sharing any information on immigration status with ICE. So they are concerned about violating a local ordinance, but evidently have no concern about violating federal law.

According to KTTH, Undersheriff Scott Somers said in an email to employees that the department had no choice but to terminate its participation in LInX:

“We could not reach a solution that insured that the civil immigration functions would not have access, especially when viewed from a national level,” Somers said in the email. “We had no alternative other than to terminate our membership and information sharing with LInX. This included the removal of all of our information from their system. Agency access to LInX was cut off per the agreement.”

Federal law (8 U.S.C. 1373) prohibits state and local government from “in any way restrict[ing], any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.” 8 U.S.C. 1324 also prohibits individuals, whether in government or in advocacy groups, from encouraging, inducing, harboring, shielding from detection, or transporting illegal aliens in any way or attempting to do so.

Chris Hajec, director of litigation for the Immigration Reform Law Institute, told CR that this would be the classic paradigm of actively shielding an illegal alien from detection described in statute. “For example, if they used the database but did not upload to it to deny information to ICE, they would be shielding illegal aliens from detection.”

What is astounding here is how much King County officials are willing to endanger public safety in order to make a political statement on behalf of illegal aliens. By definition, anyone roped into LInX is going to be someone apprehended for a crime other than being here illegally. So not only are they unwilling to assist in deporting criminal aliens, they are willing to hamper efforts to solve criminal cases dealing even with American criminals. They are willing to burn down the entire system if that means criminal aliens get to stay.

“I cannot stress enough how cooperation with local law enforcement is an indispensable component of promoting public safety,” said ICE spokeswoman Tanya Roman in an audio statement to CR on Friday.

She further noted that much of this is driven by local politicians and is actually against the needs and wishes of their law enforcement agencies.

“It’s really unfortunate that current state policies and laws interfere with the mission of local law enforcement. These agencies want, and quite frankly, need to work with Homeland Security Investigations [HSI]. The decision by any law enforcement agency to withhold information from one another or to not seek as much information as they can is dangerous for the community. This type of decision makes law enforcement agencies less efficient, less effective, and ultimately the only people who lose in this politically motivated scenario is the public.”

Imagine for a moment if local law enforcement agencies played hide-the-ball with the FBI – would the Department of Justice tolerate that for a moment? Their violation of federal law in thwarting HSI should be no different.

The sanctuary issue has gotten so severe that many of these jurisdictions will not even cooperate with ICE regarding illegal alien child sex offenders. In June, King County released a man convicted of raping a disabled woman without notifying ICE so he could be removed. The Mexican national, Francisco Carranza-Ramirez, allegedly went straight to the victim’s home after serving just nine months in prison and almost killed her. He was never apprehended since then and is still a fugitive to this day.

The sanctuary problem has been growing ever year. According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the number of these jurisdictions has doubled since Trump took office and now stands at 564. Those districts collectively harbor about 68 percent of the estimated illegal aliens in this country. It’s quite evident that there is no way to effectively enforce immigration law until the feds get more aggressive with these states and counties. Raise your hand if you think that will be a priority when Congress returns next week. ‘Unfit Con Man’: Ridiculous Hypocrite Joe Walsh Challenges President Trump for 2020 GOP Nomination

Conventional wisdom holds that when a sitting president is running for re-election and faces a challenger from his own party, that president is in trouble. So, of course, the pundits and anti-Trump political activists are thrilled that Joe Walsh, a conservative talk radio host and former Republican congressman, announced his candidacy for the GOP 2020 presidential nomination over the weekend, declaring President Trump “unfit” for office.

It’s true that incumbent presidents who face primary challenges tend to lose re-election. When LBJ faced two strong primary challengers in 1968, he saw the writing on the wall and withdrew his candidacy. Ronald Reagan challenged President Ford in 1976, and though Ford won the primary, he lost the general election. Democrat Ted Kennedy primaried President Carter in 1980, and Carter lost to Reagan. Should President Trump be worried about this one-term congressman with a history of controversial remarks who was a fierce Trump supporter in 2016 but now describes the president as an “unfit con man” who “spews hate virtually every time he opens his mouth”?

In a word, no. Past one-term presidents had credible primary challengers. Trump does not.

Joe Walsh is not a serious candidate for president, and no serious person thinks he has chance to beat Trump. The Joe Walsh most Americans are familiar with played guitar on the 1977 smash Eagles hit “Hotel California.” Joe Walsh the politician and radio host is perhaps best known nationally for posting provocative messages on his Twitter account. Some of those more controversial remarks are drawing new scrutiny from the leftist media, because running for president exposes more filth than a colonoscopy. The Washington Post describes Walsh’s past comments with the harshest, most condemning word in the paper’s rhetorical arsenal: “Trumpian.”

All this from a guy who told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos over the weekend that Trump is “nuts,” “erratic,” and “cruel” and that he “stokes bigotry.” And to disarm inevitable accusations of hypocrisy, Walsh apologized for his own tweets and his prior outspoken support for the president.

“I helped create Trump, there’s no doubt about that, the personal, ugly politics,” he said. “I regret that and I’m sorry for that.”

Is this an apology of convenience now that Walsh is running for president? Republican primary voters will decide. But don’t expect Walsh to put a dent in President Trump’s 79 percent approval rating among the GOP loyal by repeating mainstream media talking points about how orange man is bad and says mean things. Walsh has no base of support to launch a challenge to Trump that might be even slightly annoying, let alone viable, using that tactic. The voters who are persuaded by arguments about Trump being a “racist” or Trump encouraging “hate” are voting for the other team. Twenty other people over in that clown car Democratic primary have already said everything Walsh said in his opening salvo against the president, not to mention that’s the narrative force-fed to Americans by the mainstream media every day since Trump announced his candidacy in 2016. Republican voters hate hearing about it, and one more Republican agreeing with the Left’s attacks on Trump won’t persuade any of them.

Walsh and the NeverTrumpers expressing support for the idea of a primary challenge argue Republicans are loyal to Trump mostly because they don’t have an alternative. Walsh’s message fails on its face, because on the one hand he says, “I’m the alternative to a man unfit for office because he constantly says ridiculous things,” and on the other hand, Walsh is someone who is unfit for office because he constantly says ridiculous things.

Who, exactly, is the “unfit con man?” (For more from the author of “‘Unfit Con Man’: Ridiculous Hypocrite Joe Walsh Challenges President Trump for 2020 GOP Nomination” please click HERE)

Joe Arpaio Announces Run for Seventh Term

Joe Arpaio announced Sunday that he will seek a seventh term as the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, promising to reopen his infamous tent city jail and bring back controversial jail policies that drew the ire of civil rights advocates and made him a darling of tough-on-crime conservatives.

Arpaio, who called himself “America’s toughest sheriff” during his 24-year run, said he’ll challenge incumbent Paul Penzone in the 2020 sheriff’s race. Penzone, a Democrat, unseated Arpaio in 2016 for the job.

“On this day, August 25, 2019, after consultation and approval from my wife of 61 years, Ava, I have decided to run to be re-elected Sheriff,” Arpaio said in a news release. “Watch out world! We are back!” . . .

He opened up an outdoor jail, known as “Tent City” in the desert where temperatures often reached triple digits, and made inmates wear pink garments and jumpsuits, earning him national headlines.

In addition to promising to reopen the tent jail, he said he would “reinstitute the Posse to its former strength” and “continue to enforce all Arizona laws that deal with drug trafficking, sex trafficking and other crimes associated with the border and illegal immigration.” (Read more from “Joe Arpaio Announces Run for Seventh Term” HERE)

NYT’s Crazy Claim: Anchor Baby Policy ‘Enshrined in Constitution’

A New York Times (NYT) editor says the country’s policy of birthright citizenship — even for a U.S.-born child of illegal aliens, often referred to as an “anchor baby” — has been “enshrined in the Constitution for more than 150 years” and cannot be ended.

Last week, Trump told the media is he is “very seriously” looking at signing an executive order that will end birthright citizenship in the U.S., calling the policy “frankly ridiculous.” White House senior adviser Stephen Miller confirmed on Sunday that Trump is reviewing “all legal options” to end the “crazy” birthright citizenship policy.

To date, the U.S. Supreme Court has never explicitly ruled that the children of illegal aliens must be granted birthright citizenship, and many legal scholars dispute the idea. Despite this, New York Times editor Patrick Lyons writes that birthright citizenship cannot be ended because it is “enshrined in the Constitution.” . . .

Much like the Times, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) — a 2020 Democrat presidential candidate — has similarly claimed that birthright citizenship is “enshrined” in the U.S. Constitution, as Breitbart News reported.

Ending birthright citizenship would carry the U.S. into the future on the issue, putting the nation more in line with similar Western countries. In the developed world, only Canada has a birthright citizenship policy as other nations have ended the policy or never had such a policy. There are at least 4.5 million anchor babies in the U.S. and nearly 300,000 anchor babies are born every year. Poll: 70 Percent of U.S. Angry at Political Establishment

The overwhelming majority of Americans said that they remain angry at the political establishment, according to a poll released Sunday.

Seventy percent of Americans said they feel mad “because our political system seems to only be working for the insiders with money and power, like those on Wall Street or in Washington.” . . .

Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates, who conducted the poll with GOP firm Public Opinion Strategies, said, “Four years ago, we uncovered a deep and boiling anger across the country engulfing our political system. Four years later, with a very different political leader in place, that anger remains at the same level.” . . .

Four years ago, 39 percent of Republicans and 44 percent of Democrats reported they were very frustrated with the political establishment. Now, 29 percent of Republicans and 54 percent of Democrats remain very frustrated with the entrenched political establishment.

“The question that decides the 2020 election may no longer be ‘are you better or worse off than you were four years ago?’ but instead ‘are you as angry as you were four years ago?’” said Horwitt. “And if that’s the question, the answer is a deafening yes.” (Read more from “Poll: 70 Percent of U.S. Angry at Political Establishment” HERE)

NASA Astronaut Accused of Committing the First Ever Crime in Space

Anne McClain is a decorated NASA astronaut who has spent more than 200 days in space. Now, she stands accused of committing the first ever crime in space.

McClain’s estranged spouse, former Air Force intelligence officer Summer Worden, has filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and NASA’s Office of Inspector General accusing McClain of identity theft and improperly accessing her private financial information, the New York Times reported. . .

Worden told the Times she learned McClain accessed her accounts because McClain had intimate knowledge of her spending. To confirm her suspicions, Worden had her bank locate computers that had accessed her account; one such access point came from a computer registered with NASA. . .

Instead, McClain claims she was doing what she has always done: checking her family’s finances to ensure there were sufficient funds in the account to pay bills and care for the son that McClain and Worden have raised together.

McClain and Hardin are in the midst of a heated custody battle over their 6-year-old son, who was conceived via in vitro fertilization and carried by a surrogate. Their divorce is set to be finalized in October, NBC News reported. (Read more from “Decorated NASA Astronaut Accused of Committing the First Ever Crime in Space” HERE)

President Trump Hints at ‘Major Middle Income Tax Cut’ With One Condition

President Donald Trump hinted Saturday that additional tax cuts are in the future for tens of millions of Americans.

However, the president said the “major middle income tax cut” would only become reality if Republicans retain control of the Senate and retake control of the House in 2020.

“If Republicans take back the House, and keep the Senate and Presidency, one of our first acts will be to approve a major middle income Tax Cut!” Trump said. “Democrats only want to raise your taxes!”

. . .

Larry Kudlow, the top White House economic adviser, said this week that Trump could propose new tax cuts before the 2020 presidential election that would additional economic relief for individuals and small businesses.

“The personal tax rates could easily be lowered, and probably the brackets could be shrunk. That’s a thought,” Kudlow said. “We might even kind of work through a way to help our friends in some of the states who are concerned about the shrinkage of the tax deductions there … the SALT taxes.” (Read more from “President Trump Hints at ‘Major Middle Income Tax Cut’ With One Condition” HERE)
