Name of Potential Sarah Sanders Replacement Emerges

Hours after President Donald Trump announced that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders would be leaving her position at the end of the month, a name emerged from multiple sources close to the president for who should be Sanders’ replacement.

Stephanie Grisham, the White House Director of Communications for first lady Melania Trump, has been a loyal soldier fighting to advance Trump’s agenda dating all the way back to his first month on the campaign trail in 2015 when she was a low-level press staffer.

In December, The Washington Post noted that Grisham has grown to become “one of the more powerful figures in the ever-evolving Trump White House” and referred to Grisham as “Melania Trump’s enforcer.”

A source close to the White House told The Daily Wire on Thursday night Grisham “has proven herself to be a stone-cold killer” and that “no one else comes close” to being able to match Grisham in her ability to command problems that arise. . .

Another source, a Trump ally close to the President and the Trump family, told The Daily Wire: “Stephanie Grisham is a favorite of Trump loyalists, many in the national press corps, and most important, the Trump family. The First Lady loves Stephanie’s tenacity and loyalty, and President Trump has remarked that he respects Stephanie’s ability to stay cool under pressure and manage the toughest of news cycles. Stephanie might not be the first name that comes to mind for this role, but she’s the one person inside or outside the building who everyone nods their head and says, ‘She’d be great.'” (Read more from “Name of Potential Sarah Sanders Replacement Emerges” HERE)

Trump Responds to Calls to Fire Kellyanne Conway After Report She Violated Federal Law

A new report by a federal government watchdog issued Thursday determined that White House adviser Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act — which limits political activities of federal employees — on “numerous occasions” by repeatedly blasting Democratic presidential candidates. For the violations, the watchdog recommended that Conway be removed. But in an interview with “Fox & Friends” Friday, Trump made clear that’s not going to happen.

“I’m not gonna fire her. I think she’s a terrific person. She’s a tremendous spokesperson,” Trump told the hosts, in comments reported by Fox News.com. Trump went on to criticize the Office of Special Counsel — an independent office tasked with government oversight (unrelated to the Robert Mueller investigation) — with “trying to take away her right of free speech” and suggesting that he wouldn’t ask her to dial back her rhetoric, saying he believes government employees should be allowed “to express themselves.”

On Thursday, the Office of Special Counsel Henry Kerner issued a letter recommending the dismissal of Conway, citing “numerous violations of the Hatch Act.”

“Attached to this letter is a copy of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel’s (OSC) investigative report detailing numerous violations of the Hatch Act by Counsellor to the President Kellyanne Conway,” the letter reads. “Ms. Conway’s disregard for the restrictions the Hatch Act places on executive branch employees is unacceptable. If Ms. Conway were any other federal employee, her multiple violations would almost certainly result in removal from her federal position by the Merit Systems Protection Board. As a highly visible member of the Administration, Ms. Conway’s violations, if left unpunished, would send a message to all federal employees that they need not abide by the Hatch Act’s restrictions. Her actions thus erode the principal foundation of our democratic system — the rule of law.” (Read more from “Trump Responds to Calls to Fire Kellyanne Conway After Report She Violated Federal Law” HERE)

Andrew McCabe Thinks This Recent Trump Comment Makes Him a Threat to National Security

By Breitbart. Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe commented on President Donald Trump saying he would accept “dirt” on political opponents from foreign governments.

McCabe said, “As you know, the standard for opening our case is when we have information that might indicate that a threat to national security might exist or that a federal crime may have been committed. And so, in that time, in May of 2017, we clearly had that sort of information. We knew what the Russians had been doing since 2014, 2015, attacking our cyber infrastructure, our academic institutions, government institutions, think tanks. We knew they attacked the DNC. They weaponized that material to try to hurt Candidate Clinton and help Candidate Trump. We knew Trump was upset about the fact we were investigating that activity. He specifically asked us to stop investigating that activity, and when we didn’t follow his requests, he fired the director. ” (Read more from “Andrew McCabe Thinks This Recent Trump Comment Makes Him a Threat to National Security” HERE)

Andrew McCabe Says It’s Time to Start an Impeachment Inquiry into Trump

By CNN Politics. Former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe said Thursday that the time has come to begin an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

On CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time,” Chris Cuomo asked McCabe, “Do you believe that an impeachment inquiry is warranted based on what you understand and what has come out of the Mueller report?” . . .

“I think we are clearly there with the results of the special counsel team,” McCabe said. “There are so many witnesses who could provide important essential testimony to Congress that can only be done in the scope of an impeachment inquiry.” (Read more from “Andrew McCabe Says It’s Time to Start an Impeachment Inquiry into Trump” HERE)

Bernie Sanders Claims Americans ‘Will Be Delighted to Pay More in Taxes’ but Refuses to Himself

On Wednesday, Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders spoke with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, demonstrating not only how out of touch he is with what Americans want, but also his blatant hypocrisy.

When asked by Cooper if enough Americans know what socialism looks like, Bernie Sanders went into a laundry list of socialist talking points about what other countries have that we don’t that makes them so much better. Cooper actually pressed him on this point, noting that “the taxes in many of those countries are much higher than they are—individual and personal tax are—much higher than they are in the United States.” . . .

It’s bad enough that Bernie pretends to believe Americans want to pay more in taxes, but it’s even worse that he makes this claim when he personally chooses not to pay more in taxes. When he released his 2014 tax returns during the 2016 presidential elections, he paid an effective tax rate of 13.5 percent on a joint income of $205,271, which is lower than the average income tax rate for that income.

Bernie Sanders has also been called out for accepting tax breaks that he campaigns against, and, once he became a millionaire after writing his bestselling book, not voluntarily paying the tax rate he says millionaires should pay. Bernie Sanders is the epitome of why socialism doesn’t work. He knows that as part of the elite he won’t have to live under the same rules as non-one-percenters will in a socialist system. Socialism for thee, not for me. (Read more from “Bernie Sanders Claims Americans ‘Will Be Delighted to Pay More in Taxes’ but Refuses to Himself” HERE)

Reported Cartel Drone Found near Border. Are We Prepared for This Very Real National Security Threat?

Not only are the cartels weaponizing mass migration to tie down our border agents so they can bring in dangerous people and contraband, they are apparently monitoring the migrant flow in real time with spy drones.

A border agent in the Rio Grande Valley sector informed me that Border Patrol recovered a cartel drone on Sunday that crashed in La Grulla, Texas, near the river. “In the afternoon on June 9, 2019, Border Patrol agents were ‘sign-cutting’ a group of illegals south of the town of La Grulla, TX, when they encountered a drone laying in the brush,” said the veteran Texas agent, who must remain anonymous because he is not authorized to speak to the press. “The lights on the drone were blacked out with electrical tape, so as to not be seen at night. This area has recently seen an influx of illicit trafficking.”

DHS officials have publicly said for over a year that the cartels are using the mass influx of family units to get in dangerous people away from the agents, but the use of drones further accentuates the point that this is much more of a strategic invasion than just an immigration issue. “The cartel is investing in technology to guide groups to a stash house or to a ‘load driver’ waiting to pick them up,” said the agent, who feels that he and his colleagues are being outmaneuvered by the dangerous insurgent groups operating on both sides of the border.

“First, they started giving the illegals smart phones equipped with land navigation apps and map overlays, along with battery chargers and a compass. This cut out the need for a ‘guide.’ Now, with the use of drones, the cartel can see us for miles. They can direct the groups of illegals away from agents and have the load driver go to them or choose a different stash house. They were already at an advantage with the amount of U.S. citizen [smuggling scouts]. Now they can direct movement from above in a 360-degree view and pinpoint accuracy, even in the thick brush or dense sugar cane. There is nowhere an agent can approach the group without being seen.”

The cartels now have a perfect system of technology and the weaponization of family units to ensure that our apprehension rate of the real bad guys is quite low. Just the previous Sunday, the agent said there were 347 “got aways” in this Texas County.

I reached out to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for confirmation of this incident and comment on the general use of spy drones by the cartels in the process of migration flows, but have not received a response. However, CBP did put out a press release on April 17 revealing that agents observed a “a small airborne object” traveling back and forth across the border several times one night in the El Paso sector. It said that approximately two minutes later, “a group of 10 subjects made an illegal entry into the U.S. in the same area in which the object had been traveling.” According to CBP, this was “the first known time in recent history that a drone has been utilized as a ‘look-out’ in order to aid in illegal entries in the El Paso Sector.”

I asked the agent if Border Patrol would ever shoot down these drones, and he said we would never do it in Mexican airspace nor target the individuals responsible. “The only policy we have regarding drones is if we catch the pilot we can arrest him if he doesn’t have an FAA license.”

However, the pilots all remain on Mexico’s soil, and most of the drones wind up staying in Mexican airspace after briefly breaching our airspace. In other words, the cartels can literally spy on our Border Patrol, National Guard, and military bases with impunity and direct an invasion using the real-time intelligence from spy drones, yet we will continue to respect “Mexican sovereignty,” when they are violating our sovereignty and their government has no control over the cartels anyway.

I spoke with Col. Dan Steiner, a retired Air Force veteran who coordinated military operations at our border for the Texas government alongside NORTHCOM, and he was very disturbed by the national security implications of this growing trend. “The drone sitting there and collecting information will only get smarter … and they will move on to the next level, if we stick our heads in the sands and only view this as ‘Mexico being Mexico’ and not a prime national security threat,” said the colonel on my podcast Tuesday.

“Our lack of response does nothing but embolden the cartels, which are terrorist groups. Given that we already know they work with Hezbollah, it’s likely they are helping them with technology in return. If we have terrorists flying drones on our border in order to circumvent our sovereignty on our border, what in the hell are we doing?”

Michael Braun, former chief of operations with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, previously warned in an interview with CR that “Hezbollah’s growing involvement in the global cocaine trade over the past decade has resulted in the formation of alliances with Colombian and Mexican drug trafficking cartels.”

Steiner explained on my podcast how it’s a no-brainer for the cartels to fly a drone near Juarez that can see into Fort Bliss, for espionage purposes. “When you give them the impression that they can gather any intelligence at our border, it’s a slippery slope and we would have no way of knowing if they are using it for other espionage while pretending to use it for migrants and drugs, which evidently our government doesn’t care about. They are in bed with terrorist organizations, and it’s time we treat them that way.”

It’s truly shocking how our government allows cartels to weaponize migration with strategic tools of espionage and warfare, yet we continue to believe asylum law somehow demands that we tolerate a strategic invasion. Trump can designate the cartels as terrorists tomorrow, direct operations against their assets, and refuse to allow in all migrants and asylum requests, not just with his immigration powers, but with his national defense powers. He needs to begin viewing this as the orchestrated invasion it is, not an immigration or asylum issue.

“The best invasions are the ones you never realize are taking place until it’s too late,” warns Col. Steiner. “Just ask the Romans.” (For more from the author of “Reported Cartel Drone Found near Border. Are We Prepared for This Very Real National Security Threat?” please click HERE)

Carter Page Says the Mueller Report Only Tells Half the Story

. . .The Department of Justice inspector general is said to be readying a scorching report on the alleged FISA abuses. It’s expected to be released this summer. At the heart of the Trump-Russia collusion nonsense is Spygate and the FISA warrant secured to monitor Page based off this dossier. First, there’s the allegation that FBI, or the CIA, tried to infiltrate the Trump campaign based on this Russian collusion hysteria. The second part is the FBI citing this dossier as credible evidence to secure a spy warrant on Page. It was renewed three times through 2017. Political opposition research was cited to secure a spy warrant on the rival campaign from the sitting presidential administration of the opposing party during an election year. Yeah, one could argue that’s weaponizing the DOJ to go after your enemies. How much did Obama know? Also, welcome to this circus, State Department.

The officials in the Obama administration knew that this was biased trash days prior to securing the FISA warrant is bad enough. Another odd angle is that this very intelligence community knew Carter Page because he worked with the CIA, the State Department, and the FBI…before he became a Russian traitor or something (via RCP):

“I was asked various questions, not only by State, FBI, etc, but also the CIA,” he said. “I had a long-standing relationship with the CIA going back decades essentially, and I was always very transparent, open.”

“I had a longstanding relationship with the CIA, going back decades, essentially,” Page said. “I was always very transparent, open.”

“Deception by omission,” as some have noted while combing through this report? It wouldn’t be the first time. (Read more from “Carter Page Says the Mueller Report Only Tells Half the Story” HERE)

In 2006 Joe Biden Bragged About Delaware Being a Slave State, Joked About Fighting for the Confederacy

Former Vice President Joe Biden is currently on his third campaign to win the Democratic presidential nomination. His first campaign in 1988 was derailed because he plagiarized a speech and his second in 2008 was cut short because, as he described it, he lost against the “first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy” named Barack Obama. However, in 2006 in the run-up to the 2008 South Carolina primaries, the then-Delaware senator used the First State’s former status as a slave state as a reason for why he could gain support in the south during the Democratic primary. Biden did this on at least two occasions; once in a more joking manner during a speech at the Columbia Rotary Club and once in a more serious tone with Fox News’ Chris Wallace.

As reported by CBS News, then-Senator Joe Biden jokingly told the influential South Carolina group that Delaware would have fought for the confederacy in the Civil War, but could not due to geography.

“Biden was on a roll,” the reporter said. “Delaware, he noted, was a ‘slave state that fought beside the North. That’s only because we couldn’t figure out how to get to the South. There were a couple of states in the way.'” (emphasis added)

In the same speech, he also made a sympathetic reference to a Columbia Rotary Club member’s announcement “that the club would hold its annual Christmas party at the state Department of Archives and History where members could view the original copy of the state’s Articles of Secession.” (Read more from “In 2006 Joe Biden Bragged About Delaware Being a Slave State, Joked About Fighting for the Confederacy” HERE)

Facebook’s Process to Label You a ‘Hate Agent’ Revealed

Facebook monitors the offline behavior of its users to determine if they should be categorized as a “Hate Agent,” according to a document provided exclusively to Breitbart News by a source within the social media giant.

The document, titled “Hate Agent Policy Review” outlines a series of “signals” that Facebook uses to determine if someone ought to be categorized as a “hate agent” and banned from the platform.

Those signals include a wide range of on- and off-platform behavior. If you praise the wrong individual, interview them, or appear at events alongside them, Facebook may categorize you as a “hate agent.”

Facebook may also categorize you as a hate agent if you self-identify with or advocate for a “Designated Hateful Ideology,” if you associate with a “Designated Hate Entity” (one of the examples cited by Facebook as a “hate entity” includes Islam critic Tommy Robinson), or if you have “tattoos of hate symbols or hate slogans.” (The document cites no examples of these, but the media and “anti-racism” advocacy groups increasingly label innocuous items as “hate symbols,” including a cartoon frog and the “OK” hand sign.) . . .

The document also says Facebook will categorize you as a hate agent for “statements made in private but later made public.” Of course, Facebook holds vast amounts of information on what you say in public and in private — and as we saw with the Daily Beast doxing story, the platform will publicize private information on their users to assist the media in hitjobs on regular American citizens. Sarah Sanders Leaving Trump Administration

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders would be stepping down from her post at the end of the month and returning to her own home state.

“After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas,” Trump tweeted. “She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas – she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!”

. . .

“The 36-year old Sanders, the daughter of former Arkansas Republican Gov. Mike Huckabee, worked on her father’s presidential campaign during the 2016 Republican primary until he dropped out of the race,” Fox News reported. “She then joined the Trump campaign and, subsequently, the Trump administration as a White House communications aide. She was promoted to White House press secretary in 2017, after the president’s first top spokesman, Sean Spicer, resigned from the position.”

Here’s the Gun Control Bill That Could Destroy the Firearm Industry

By The Blaze. Democrats in Congress introduced legislation Tuesday that seeks to repeal legal protections for firearm manufacturers, opening the door for shooting victims to sue companies that create firearms. . .

The bill, titled, “The Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act,” seeks to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, a 2005 law that immunizes the firearm industry from civil liability in both state and federal courts.

“[The bill] will allow civil cases to go forward against irresponsible actors in state and federal courts, just as they would if they involved any other product. Letting courts hear these cases would provide victims of gun violence their day in court,” reads a press release about the bill.

The bill is sponsored by Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) in the House and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) in the Senate. The lawmakers claim “numerous cases” have been dismissed on the basis of the PLCAA “even when the gun makers and sellers acted in a fashion that would qualify as negligent if it involved any other product.”

Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, Schiff said Tuesday that “responsible actors in the gun industry don’t need this limitation on liability,” according to NPR. (Read more from “Dems Push Backdoor Gun Control Bill That Could Destroy the Firearm Industry” HERE)

Democrats Introduce Bill Allowing Shooting Victims to Sue Gun Industry

By NPR. . .The Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act aims to repeal federal protections blocking firearm and ammunition manufacturers, dealers and trade groups from most civil lawsuits when a firearm is used unlawfully or in a crime.

Those protections date to 2005, with the passage of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. . .

PLCAA was signed into law by then-President George W. Bush and championed by the gun industry, including the National Rifle Association.

Lawrence Keane of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a firearms trade association, told NPR his organization “will certainly oppose this legislation.” He called the bill to repeal PLCAA “fundamentally unfair.”

“You would no more charge or blame Ford or General Motors for drunk driving accidents,” Keane said, adding that the current law is “working exactly how Congress intended it.” (Read more from “Democrats Introduce Bill Allowing Shooting Victims to Sue Gun Industry” HERE)
