Brennan Pushes Another Conspiracy Theory: Mueller Proved Collusion!

Former CIA Director John Brennan on Tuesday falsely claimed special counsel Robert Mueller’s report actually further proves Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia worked together during the 2016 presidential election.

“I subsequently learned from the Mueller report that there was a lot more evidence of collusion and obstruction of justice than was indicated in the misleading & highly politicized Barr memo. Your obvious fear of Congressional action is warranted & your dishonesty is appalling,” Brennan said in response to President Trump posting an embarrassing quote from the longtime Deep Stater.

Trump quoted Brennan admitting that Trump-Russia conspiracies were much bigger in his own mind than in reality — “I don’t know if I received bad information, but I think I suspected there was more than there actually was” — one day after Attorney General William Barr told Congress that the special counsel did not uncover evidence of cooperation between the Trump campaign and Russia. Further, Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who once reportedly volunteered to wear a wire in meeting with President Trump, determined that the president did not obstruct justice in relation to the Mueller probe.

“I don’t know if I received bad information, but I think I suspected there was more than there actually was,” the former CIA chief told MSNBC’s Morning Joe of Mueller’s findings. (Read more from “Brennan Pushes Another Conspiracy Theory: Mueller Proved Collusion!” HERE)

Pelosi’s Ridiculous Claim: Trump May Have Committed ‘Impeachable Offense’ in ‘Plain Sight’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told a left-leaning audience on Wednesday that President Trump may have committed “an impeachable offense,” ratcheting up her warnings to the White House even as she and her deputies try to tamp down calls from the rank-and-file to press forward on impeachment now.

Pelosi, D-Calif., speaking at the Center for American Progress 2019 Ideas Conference in Washington, D.C., outlined a potential path to impeachment — moments after a contentious meeting at the White House ended with Trump departing for the Rose Garden to publicly accuse Democrats of a presidential “takedown.”

“The fact is, in plain sight, in the public domain, this president is obstructing justice and he’s engaged in a cover-up. And that could be an impeachable offense,” Pelosi told the audience, which broke out in applause.

“Ignoring the subpoenas of Congress was Article 3 of the Nixon Impeachment. So, it’s not just the substance that we are after, that we want to have to get the truth to the American people, but in striving to get that the intervention, the obstruction that the administration is engaged in is, as they say, the cover-up is frequently worse than the crime.” . . .

“Let me just say, we take on oath of office, to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Democrats take that oath seriously, and we are committed to honoring our oath of office. I’m not sure our Republican colleagues share that commitment, and I’m not sure the President of the United States does.” (Read more from “Pelosi’s Ridiculous Claim: Trump May Have Committed ‘Impeachable Offense’ in ‘Plain Sight'” HERE)

Pentagon Makes Startling Admission Regarding UFO Investigations

By Fox News. The Pentagon has finally uttered the words it always avoided when discussing the possible existence of UFOs — “unidentified aerial phenomena” — and admits that it still investigates reports of them.

In a statement provided exclusively to The Post, a Department of Defense spokesman said a secret government initiative called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program “did pursue research and investigation into unidentified aerial phenomena.”

And while the DOD says it shut down the AATIP in 2012, spokesman Christopher Sherwood acknowledged that the department still investigates claimed sightings of alien spacecraft.

“The Department of Defense is always concerned about maintaining positive identification of all aircraft in our operating environment, as well as identifying any foreign capability that may be a threat to the homeland,” Sherwood said.

“The department will continue to investigate, through normal procedures, reports of unidentified aircraft encountered by US military aviators in order to ensure defense of the homeland and protection against strategic surprise by our nation’s adversaries.” (Read more from “Pentagon Makes Startling Admission Regarding UFO Investigations” HERE)

Internal Memo Orders Military to Restrict Information It Shares with Congress

By The Washington Post. Acting defense secretary Patrick Shanahan has mandated new restrictions on the way the Pentagon shares information with Congress about military operations around the world, a move that is straining ties with key Republican and Democratic lawmakers.

In a May 8 internal memo, which was obtained by The Washington Post, Shanahan lays out the criteria for when Pentagon officials may provide congressional offices or committees information they request about operational plans and orders.

The memo comes as lawmakers from both parties complain that the Trump administration has withheld information that prevents them from executing their constitutionally mandated oversight role. Some lawmakers are also concerned about whether Shanahan has allowed the military to be drawn too deeply into President Trump’s immigration agenda. Nevada Passes Bill to Give Electoral Votes to National Popular Vote Winner

If Nevada’s Democratic governor signs a bill passed by the state senate Tuesday into law, his state will have moved the National Popular Vote movement six votes closer to effectively nullifying the Electoral College as established in the U.S. Constitution.

By a vote of 12-8, the Nevada Senate passed AB 186 on Tuesday, which if signed by Gov. Steve Sisolak, will add Nevada’s six electoral votes to the 189 votes already pledged by 14 other states in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which would “guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.” If triggered, the pact would override the majority decision of voters in particular states.

Thus far, 14 states and one district have officially passed the measure, their collective electoral vote total currently at 189. The compact requires a minimum of 270 total pledged electoral votes to go into effect. Should Sisolak sign the bill, the total would edge up to 195 votes.

The 15 jurisdictions, which are predominantly blue, that have signed on thus far are: California (55), Colorado (9), Connecticut (7), Delaware (3), the District of Columbia (3), Hawaii (4), Illinois (20), Massachusetts (11), Maryland (10), New Jersey (14), New Mexico (5), New York (29), Rhode Island (4), Vermont (3), and Washington (12).

“The bill has passed one house in 9 additional states with 82 electoral votes (AR, AZ, ME, MI, MN, NC, NV, OK, OR), including a 40–16 vote in the Republican-controlled Arizona House and a 28–18 in Republican-controlled Oklahoma Senate, and been approved unanimously by committee votes in two additional Republican-controlled states with 26 electoral votes (GA, MO),” the National Popular Vote website explains. Muslim Arrested for Threatening to Blow up Trump Tower

The Department of Justice announced on Wednesday that an Islamic man in New Jersey has been arrested for allegedly threatening to blow up Trump Tower and the Israeli embassy in New York City, providing support to Hamas, and threatening to shoot up pro-Israel supporters.

The 20-year-old man, who will not be named by The Daily Wire, was arrested on Wednesday morning for “attempting to provide material support to Hamas, lying on his application to enlist in the U.S. Army, and making a threat against pro-Israel supporters,” the DOJ said in a statement.

According to the criminal complaint, the suspect emailed the Al-Qassam Brigades, which is the military wing of the Palestinian-Arab Hamas terrorist organization, stating that he “reverted to Islam a few weeks ago” and was interested in joining the group.

“In April 2019, [the suspect] appeared in an Instagram Live video wearing a black ski mask and stated that he was against Zionism and the neo-liberal establishment. When asked by another participant in the video if he would go to Gaza and join Hamas, [the suspect] stated ‘yes, If I could find a way,'” the DOJ stated. “Later in the video, [the suspect] displayed a Hamas flag and retrieved a handgun. He then stated ‘I’m gonna go to the [expletive] pro-Israel march and I’m going to shoot everybody.'”

In other social media posts, the suspect stated, “I want to shoot the pro-israel demonstrators … you can get a gun and shoot your way through or use a vehicle and ram people … all you need is a gun or vehicle to go on a rampage … I do not care if security forces come after me, they will have to put a bullet in my head to stop me.” (Read more from ” (Read more from “Muslim Arrested for Threatening to Blow up Trump Tower” HERE)

American Taliban Fighter Released Early

On Thursday, John Walker Lindh, also known as the “American Taliban” fighter, will be released after serving 17 and a half years of his 20-year sentence. In response, Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) and Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) demanded answers in a letter sent to the acting director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

In the letter, the senators requested information about “what steps the U.S. government is taking to ensure public safety,” citing a 2017 Foreign Policy article that claims Lindh fully intends to continue spreading his terrorist ideology after his release.

The senators also mentioned that 108 other convicted ISIS, al-Qaeda, or Taliban terrorists will soon be released from prison after completing their sentences over the next few years.

“Little information has been made available to the public about who, when, and where these offenders will be released, whether they pose an ongoing public threat, and what federal agencies are doing to mitigate this threat while the offenders are in federal custody,” the senators’ letter reads.

The letter also cited a report by the chief United States probation officer, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota’s Kevin Lowery, that suggests “that neither the Bureau of Prisons nor the Federal Judiciary’s Probation and Pretrial Services have sufficient nationwide programming to prevent incarcerated terrorist offenders from returning to violence upon completion of their sentences.” (Read more from “American Taliban Fighter Released Early” HERE)

Is This Why Justin Amash Is Pushing for Trump’s Impeachment?

By Townhall. . . .Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) had a tantrum because former White House Counsel Don McGahn decided to wipe his rear end with the subpoena that was issued to him. It’s part of the Trump White House’s legal strategy of slapping away these worthless subpoenas because we all know these aren’t oversight investigations. They’re impeachment hearings. They’re aimed at trying to get the president over anything, something.

Storm noted that there’s been a liberal shift in the programming at Fox New on the weekends, which could be a sign that we’re in the post-Roger Ailes era. Rupert Murdoch’s sons are running the show—and they’re not conservatives. He’ll walk you through it folks, but let’s just say that Chris Wallace should find guests who aren’t liberals or former Obama officials. This is Fox News after all. . .

And alas, we come to Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI), one of the few libertarians in Congress, who recently declared that Trump could be impeached, which is rich given that police state tactics were used against the president and some of his staff during the 2016 election. Also, there could be a China connection. Yep, trade is causing tension between the U.S. and China and it would seem that the Michigan congressman has some investments that could get squeezed. Sofia Carbone at Human Events has the story:

In 2010 the Michigan Live website detailed how Amash and his family were ostensibly profiting from the creation of tools in China which were then sold by the Amash family business in Michigan.

The impeachment impresario’s 2017 Financial Disclosure Report details the congressman reported between $100,001 and $1,000,000 in income from a company called Michigan Industrial Tools, which in turn is owned by Dynamic Source International, based in China. Dynamic Source International manufactures products overseas and sells them in the United States via Michigan Industrial Tools (MIT).

Trump Impeachment Call from Rep. Amash ‘Very Disturbing,’ Kevin McCarthy Says

By Fox News. House GOP Chairman Kevin McCarthy is disputing five-term Congressman Justin Amash’s call for President Trump’s impeachment.

Joining a growing chorus of Republicans, McCarthy said Tuesday that Rep. Amash, D-Mich., was out of step with others in the Republican Party and with the American people.

On “Sunday Morning Futures” this past weekend he told Maria Bartiromo, “What he wants is attention in this process. He’s not a criminal attorney. He’s never met Mueller. He’s never met Barr. And now he’s coming forward with this?”

“It’s very disturbing,” McCarthy remarked. “This is exactly what you would expect from Justin. He never supported the president. And I think he’s just looking for attention.” (Read more from “Trump Impeachment Call from Rep. Amash ‘Very Disturbing,’ Kevin McCarthy Says” HERE)

This Is What China Tariffs Could Do for American Jobs

A 25 percent tariff on all imported goods from China would create more than 720,000 American jobs by 2024, a new study finds.

The United States would undergo a nationwide reshoring-jobs effort if it imposed a tariff on all Chinese imports, the latest study from Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) researchers Jeff Ferry and Steven Byers finds.

Ferry and Byers’ study reveals that an across-the-board 25 percent tariff on every good imported to the U.S. from China would “deliver a significant, sustained boost to the US economy” by creating 721,000 American jobs and adding $125 billion to the nation’s GDP by 2024.

“Our model demonstrates that across-the-board US tariffs on Chinese imports stimulate the US economy, increase US production and jobs, and lead to a reduction in US import costs over time,” Ferry said.

“This result is consistent with US experience in 2018 and early 2019 when tariffs on steel, aluminum, and other industries led to job creation in those sectors,” Ferry said. “The modeling results provide additional evidence that decoupling the US economy from China and its predatory trade and subsidy practices will make the US economy stronger, with more production, investment, and jobs.” (Read more from “This Is What China Tariffs Could Do for American Jobs” HERE)

Obama Administration CUT Video Feed During Russia Investigation Meetings

Comments made by Attorney General William Barr about extraordinary arrangements regarding the original handling of the Russia investigation may take on more significance in light of a previous report showing a high and unusual degree of compartmentalization in the Obama-era intelligence community’s initial intel set up of the Russia probe.

In an interview with Fox News that aired Friday, Barr commented that the intelligence community’s early handling of the Russia investigation may raise questions. He noted it was first handled at a “very senior level” and then by a “small group.” . . .

The thing that’s interesting about this is that this was handled at a very senior level of these departments. It wasn’t handled in the ordinary way that investigations or counterintelligence activities are conducted. It was sort of an ad hoc, small group — and most of these people are no longer with the FBI or the CIA or the other agencies involved. I think there’s a misconception out there that we know a lot about what happened. The fact of the matter is, Bob Mueller did not look at the government’s activities.

The number of Obama administration officials who were allowed access to the Russia intelligence was also highly limited, The Post reported. At first only four senior officials were involved: Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and then-FBI Director James Comey. Their aides were all barred from attending the initial meetings, The Post stated. . .

Adding another layer of secrecy, the newspaper reported that when the closed Cabinet sessions on Russia began in the White House Situation Room in August, the video feed from the main room was cut off during the meetings. Dems Clash in Closed Meeting over Trump Impeachment

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is once again struggling to maintain control over her new majority’s caucus — even battling dissension among her own leadership team. Pelosi has already faced multiple rank-and-file insurrections on GOP-led motions to recommit, caved to pressure and lost a battle over condemning a freshman member’s anti-Semitism, decided to ignore her chamber’s budgeting requirements in order to sidestep endless intra-party spending battles, and recently watched as her party was forced to shelve (since revived) DREAM Act legislation due to internal squabbling over extending amnesty to people with criminal records. Her latest headache is on impeachment, which she’s opposed for months on tactical grounds.

Her rhetorical fence-straddling has been awkward and strained at times (what does this mean?), and now it appears as though there’s a growing chance that her delicate balancing act could be heading toward a breaking point (see update). In a closed-door meeting yesterday, top House Democrats reportedly clashed over the issue of pursuing impeachment against President Trump. Though Pelosi did not abandon her opposition to the idea, her stance came under siege from some typical allies:

More details, via Politico:

House Democratic leaders sparred internally on Monday over whether to begin an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her allies rejecting the call to move forward for now, according to multiple sources. Reps. David Cicilline of Rhode Island, Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Joe Neguse of Colorado — all members of Democratic leadership — pushed to begin impeachment proceedings during a leadership meeting in Pelosi’s office, said the sources. Pelosi and Reps. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico, Hakeem Jeffries of New York and Cheri Bustos of Illinois — some of her key allies — rejected their calls, saying Democrats’ message is being drowned out by the fight over possibly impeaching Trump…
