Trump ‘Outs’ Judge Napolitano

By The Daily Caller. President Donald Trump tweeted after Saturday’s rally in Wisconsin an attack on Judge Andrew Napolitano, claiming the judge had come to him privately to ask for a Supreme Court nomination.

“Thank you to brilliant and highly respected attorney Alan Dershowitz for destroying the very dumb legal argument of ‘Judge’ Andrew Napolitano….” Trump began, following his praise of Harvard professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz with an immediate pivot to an attack on Napolitano. . .

Trump appeared to be referring to the fallout from the recently-released Mueller report, which Napolitano has argued on his Fox News Digital show “Judge Napolitano’s Chambers” stands as proof that the president obstructed justice.

Trump: Fox’s Napolitano Asked Me to Pardon His Friend, Put Him on Supreme Court

By The Hill. Napolitano, a former superior court judge in New Jersey, works as a legal analyst for Fox News. In a pair of tweets Saturday evening following his campaign rally in Green Bay, Wis., the president accused the commentator of becoming “very hostile” after Trump supposedly turned him down for the nation’s highest court. . .

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment regarding when the conversation with Napolitano occurred or whom the Fox News commentator supposedly asked Trump to pardon.

Trump frequently showers praise on Fox News figures who are seen as allies of his administration, including Dershowitz, who has defended the president amid the now-concluded investigation into Russia’s election interference and Trump’s campaign. Beto O’Rourke Wants to Spend $5 Trillion Taxpayer Money in a Ridiculous WAY

Democratic presidential candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke has finally revealed his first concrete policy proposal of the 2020 primary bid, and it’s a plan to address global warming with a whopping $5 trillion price tag.

The sweeping environmental plan, which was announced Monday and is hosted on O’Rourke’s campaign website, calls for a four-pillar framework of cutting pollution and executive action, a massive infrastructure investment, reaching net-zero carbon emissions nationwide by 2050, and pre-emptive measures for communities expected to face “extreme weather.”

“The greatest threat we face — which will test our country, our democracy, every single one of us — is climate change,” reads a statement that accompanied the policy outline. “We have one last chance to unleash the ingenuity and political will of hundreds of millions of Americans to meet this moment before it’s too late.”

The first portion of the plan includes the United States re-entering the Paris climate accord, addressing methane leakage in the energy industry, increasing efficiency regulations for buildings and appliances, and increasing regulations on power plants.

The infrastructure portion would spend trillions on efforts to “accelerate the scale up of nascent technologies enabling reductions in greenhouse gas emissions,” on research and development on green technology, and on public grants for things like public housing and public transportation.

Part three promises that a President O’Rourke would work with Congress to pass a legally enforceable standard to reduce carbon emissions in his first 100 days. Part four lays out plans to increase natural disaster spending and change federal disaster responses to “to make sure that we build back stronger after every disaster.”

“The costs of climate change will measure in the tens of trillions of dollars, in lives lost, and livelihoods devastated and destroyed,” reads the introduction section. “We are the first generation to feel the climate crisis, and the last generation with the ability to avert its worst impacts.”

$5 trillion may seem a bargain compared to the estimated $93 trillion price tag on the Green New Deal proposal put out by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., but keep in mind that the GND was an aspirational resolution, not actual policy proposal legislation right now. The estimate comes from the widely mocked supporting documents for the resolution rollout.

But in real terms, the proposed cost (which is an estimated total drawn up by O’Rourke’s campaign) is less than a cool trillion south of the total estimated cost of our post-9/11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. You know, the ones that started almost 20 years ago.

But that’s still not enough for some climate activists. The Sunrise Movement, a far-left environmental group, has criticized O’Rourke’s proposal for being too weak on carbon emissions and walking back more extreme promises that he already made.

“We’re glad to see Beto release a climate plan as his first policy and commit to making it a day one priority for his administration,” reads a statement from Sunrise Executive Director Varshini Prakash, who says that the plan is “out of line” with the emissions timeline laid out in the Green New Deal.

O’Rourke touted the “historic” climate change proposal at a campaign stop in Yosemite National Park, which he chronicled on Twitter.

Suspect in Oklahoma Family Deaths Had Long Criminal History – for Which He Served Hardly Any Time

Over the past few years, Sen. Tom Cotton has stood alone bucking the political elites and asserting what is obvious to anyone who lives outside the political bubble – that we have an under-incarceration problem in this country relative to the crimes committed. For every criminal the political elites believe is over-sentenced, there are endless numbers of career gang members who are as dangerous as can be, yet are either never sentenced to prison or are incarcerated for a short period of time, despite having massive criminal histories. Too many innocent victims needlessly die as a result of this forgotten form of catch-and-release. Sadly, it appears that Tonya Horn and her daughter, Rylee Ewald, are the latest victims of the under-incarceration of the worst offenders.

On the evening of April 19, Rylee Ewald was like any 8-year-old girl enjoying a car ride with her parents on the way back from taking their dog to the vet when they were struck by the speeding stolen vehicle of Andrew Munoz and Deanna Alvarez. Rylee and her mother, Tonya, died in the crash, and her dad, Eric, is in the hospital with a broken pelvis, multiple broken ribs, a broken jaw, and a damaged spine. The family has set up a GoFundMe to cover the medical expenses.

This is a terrible tragedy beyond belief. And the details and past criminal history of the driver of the other car make it an avoidable tragedy.

At around 5:40 p.m., Andrew Munoz, 27, and his passenger, Deanna Alvarez, 35, were pulled over by Oklahoma City police officers for a driving violation. Munoz pretended to slow down, but then gunned the engine of the pickup truck, ran through a stop sign, and plowed into the family’s SUV, killing Tonya and Rylee. Police discovered that the vehicle had been stolen, and they also found methamphetamine and firearms inside it.

Munoz was charged with two counts of second degree murder, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of drug proceeds, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felony eluding, and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

Alvarez, the passenger, who had no prior arrest record, was charged with two counts of second degree murder, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug proceeds, and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.

Munoz has a 10-year criminal history of every single criminal act committed on the night that led to the murder of Tonya and Rylee, yet he remained free most of the time!

According to records from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Munoz was arrested in 2011 and convicted in 2012 for eluding a police officer. At the same time, he was arrested for distributing drugs. In 2017, he was convicted of multiple charges of using unauthorized vehicles and of drug distribution.

Yet despite his repeat offenses, he only served probation for recent vehicle theft and served just five months on drug charges before being released last August.

This is a repeat offender who has shown a proclivity for danger on the streets in multiple ways, yet he was barely locked up. And this is Oklahoma.

Now, fast-forward to the issue of criminal justice “reform,” with both parties in Washington, as well as so-called conservatives led by Jared Kushner pushing to have people like this released even earlier. They successfully passed a bill last year granting lower sentences and early release for these very violent drug offenders who graduated to the federal system! The ones in the state system are bad enough, but the guys Kushner and company are trying to let out are worse.

We were lied to by the political class about “first-time, low level, non-violent” offenders being locked up for 100 years. It’s simply not true, not even in state systems.

Too many arrests never result in a charge, and too many charges result in probation or little jail time, even after numerous arrests and convictions. The reality is that the political class in all 50 states now views drug trafficking and driving offenses, such as stolen vehicles or drunk driving, as “low-level” offenses, but most offenders, especially the repeat ones, are inherently violent and are usually gang-bangers. That is most certainly true for the ones targeted by U.S. attorneys for federal charges.

Murders would often be preventable if repeat criminals were sentenced justly. These stories play out every day, but there is nobody standing for victims of crime or for law enforcement. The weight of the political, social, and elitist world is behind every single criminal. Some even become celebrities themselves. The victims are all but forgotten except by God.

Last week, in an interview with Time magazine, Kushner said that the issue of jailbreak “was not Ds vs Rs, but really us vs. them.” Well, if everyone in politics agrees with him, then who is the “them?” Clearly, it’s law enforcement and victims of crime who just don’t matter to the political elites. Gun-Grabber Eric Swalwell Attempts to Put CRAZY Blame on Trump for Shooting

By PJ Media. Rep. Eric Swalwell blasted President Trump for sending “thoughts and prayers” to the victims of the Poway, Calif., Chabad synagogue shooting on Saturday, suggesting that the president’s inaction on gun control measures was to blame for the attack. Swalwell, a Democratic presidential candidate, took issue with a tweet from the president.

“Thoughts and prayers to all of those affected by the shooting at the Synagogue in Poway, California,” the president tweeted. “God bless you all. Suspect apprehended. Law enforcement did outstanding job. Thank you!”

For the record, Trump didn’t actually say that. What he did say is this: “Far-left radicals in Congress want to take away your voice, your jobs, your rights, and they especially want to take away your guns. You know that. They want to take away your guns.” Which is absolutely true. Swalwell, you may recall, suggested that if he’s elected president he would consider using the country’s nuclear arsenal to force law-abiding gun owners to turn in their firearms.

Swalwell called in to CNN on Saturday to spread around some more blame. “If you really start to think about it, [such an attack] is not hard to imagine at all. We’re in a country where we have unrestricted weaponry and we have growing hate groups, where we see a failure of leadership to denounce them, and that is a deadly combination.” (Read more from “Gun-Grabber Eric Swalwell Attempts to Put CRAZY Blame on Trump for Shooting” HERE)

Heartbreaking: Family Injured in California Synagogue Attack Had Fled Israel to Escape Gaza Rocket Attacks

By PJ Media. On Saturday, the final day of Passover, a lone gunman entered a Chabad synagogue in Poway, Calif., and opened fire, killing one woman and injuring three other worshippers. A relative of two of the victims told reporters that the family had moved to San Diego to escape the constant rocket attacks coming from Gaza.

John Earnest, 19, has been identified as the shooter who fired on worshippers at Chabad of Poway. 60-year-old Lori Kilbert Kaye was killed in the attack, and Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein was shot in the hand. Noya Dahan, 8, and her uncle, Almog Peretz, 31, both of whom had recently moved to the U.S. from Israel, were also injured. All three have been released from the hospital after being treated for their injuries. . .

“We came from fire to fire,” said Israel Dahan, Noya’s father, who moved his family from Sderot, near the Gaza border, to the San Diego area after their home was hit several times by rockets resulting in injuries. Dahan said the family’s new home in the U.S. has also been targeted by anti-Semites who painted swastikas on the walls.

“This is sad, but I am originally from Sderot, so we know a bit about running from the Kassam rockets,” Peretz, who was shot in the leg, told Israel’s Channel 12 from the hospital. Combat Vet Reveals Moment He Stopped the Synagogue Shooter

The man who fired a semi-automatic weapon inside the Chabad of Poway synagogue in San Diego on Saturday froze, dropped his gun and sprinted to his car when he saw Oscar Stewart come barreling toward him, yelling so loud the priest at a neighboring church could hear. . .

Others who were there later told him it sounded like four or five people were shouting. He thinks maybe an angel was standing behind him and speaking through his voice. When the shooter ran, he immediately gave chase.

Stewart, 51, told The Daily Caller on Sunday he doesn’t remember any conscious thought from the moment he heard the gun shots until it was all over — he just acted on instinct to stop the shooter and prevent him from leaving so he couldn’t hurt more people somewhere else. The Iraq combat veteran said his military training kicked in.

“I knew I had to be within five feet of this guy so his rifle couldn’t get to me,” Stewart said. “So I ran immediately toward him, and I yelled as loud as I could. And he was scared. I scared the hell out of him.” . . .

Stewart said he chased him all the way out to his car, and began pounding on it — the shooter had managed to lock himself in. When Stewart saw him reach for a rifle, he punched the side of the car as hard as he could, intending to figure out a way to drag him out of the car — that’s when a Border Patrol agent who attends the synagogue came running out to the parking lot, yelling for Stewart to get down because he had a gun. Under Fire, New York Times FINALLY Apologizes for Antisemitic Cartoon

The New York Times has finally apologized for printing a blatantly antisemitic cartoon on the opinion pages of its international section last week.

The Times ran a cartoon on Thursday showing a blind President Donald Trump, wearing a skullcap, and being led around by Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu–who is portrayed as a dog. The leash and collar on the Netanyahu dog character in the cartoon have a Star of David on it. . .

The Times‘ decision to print this has come under near-universal criticism from across the media and political spectrum, and in response the Times on Saturday retracted and deleted the cartoon–issuing an editor’s note that did not include an apology.

“A political cartoon in the international print edition of The New York Times on Thursday included anti-Semitic tropes, depicting the prime minister of Israel as a guide dog with a Star of David collar leading the president of the United States, shown wearing a skullcap,” the initial editor’s note on Saturday retracting the image reads. “The image was offensive, and it was an error of judgment to publish it. It was provided by The New York Times News Service and Syndicate, which has since deleted it.”

While the Times retracted it, and said it was “an error of judgement to publish it,” its original editor’s note statement did not apologize for this. The Times also has not, as Breitbart News has already reported, been transparent with the public or its audience on how this happened or who in particular is responsible–or if multiple people were responsible–and what consequences that person or those people will face. A Times spokeswoman, Danielle Rhoades-Ha, also did not answer when asked by Breitbart News about structural reforms that may be necessary as a result of this mistake.

Jerome Corsi Claims Mueller’s Team Tried to Pressure Him Into Pleading Guilty

Author and political commentator Jerome Corsi, who was under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller for potential collusion with Russia, claimed Mueller’s team tried to pressure him to plead guilty, during an interview with SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight.

“I got subpoenaed on August 28. I provided my computers, my laptops, my backup devices, everything, I voluntarily gave to the Special Counsel and to his prosecutors, and from the beginning they treated me like a criminal,” he told host and Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Amanda House in an exclusive interview on Thursday.

Corsi said prosecutors suspected he had communicated with WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange, whose website published embarrassing emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee. Corsi claimed that prosecutors tried to convince him to admit to being that link, despite his denials, so that they could establish collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. . .

They bring you into this unmarked FBI building in southeast Washington. You come in through the garage, you have to go in and give them in this safe room your laptops, all your electronic devices, your computer, everything, and they bring you up to this internal conference room, with no windows, no clock, and it’s me and my attorney David Gray at this point, to sit across from three of the prosecutors on Mueller’s team, and six to nine FBI, and they start grilling you for hour after hour, and if you forget some emails, or if you state something different from something they have from a phone call three years ago which you didn’t remember, all the prosecutors stand up, the FBI, they stomp out of the room, they call your attorney into the next room, they say they’re going to put you in prison for the rest of your life.

Ocasio-Cortez Slammed for Instantly Politicizing Synagogue Shooting

Social media users slammed socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) Saturday after she came out and attacked the Republican-controlled Senate and pushed for gun control immediately in the wake of the horrible white nationalist attack on a synagogue in California, which left one person dead and three others injured.

A 19-year-old terrorist opened fire on people inside the Chabad of Poway synagogue before being shot at by an off duty U.S. Border Patrol agent who is now said to have prevented a significantly worse tragedy from taking place.

Immediately following the tragic attack, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: “Heartbroken to hear of the San Diego synagogue shooting, particularly so on this final day of Passover. We have a responsibility to love + protect our neighbors. The longer the Senate delays holding a vote on #HR8, the more we put Americans at risk.”

Ocasio-Cortez completely ignored the Easter day Islamic terrorist attacks at churches in Sri Lanka that killed hundreds of Christians, but the freshman Dem immediately politicized the terrorist attacks on mosques in New Zealand last month, which suggests that she only appears to weigh in on a tragedy when she can politicize it. Both the synagogue attack (according to early reports) and the New Zealand mosque attacks were carried out by openly white supremacist terrorists armed with guns. The Sri Lankan church attacks were carried out by radical Islamic terrorists armed with suicide vests and car bombs.

The Next Battle: New Jersey Removes Mississippi State Flag From Park Due to Confederate Emblem

We’re still grappling with whether or not we should remove confederate monuments, but New Jersey is taking the battle over an ugly part of American history to the next level.

Gov. Phil Murphy (D-NJ) ordered the Mississippi flag to be removed at Liberty State Park and replaced with the American flag, citing the Magnolia State flag’s confederate emblem.

“New Jersey’s strength is rooted in our diverse communities,” Murphy said in a press release regarding the order. “The Confederate symbol displayed on the Mississippi state flag is reprehensible and does not reflect our values of inclusivity and equality. I applaud Senator Cunningham for bringing this issue in her district to my attention.” . . .

Buzzfeed also reported that the Mississippi flag is the only one in the country that still contains the Confederate battle emblem, as Georgia replaced its flag in 2004 to remove the emblem. Mississippi voted in 2001 — long before the outrage over centuries-old statutes — to keep its flag the way it was.

This is not to say that everyone in Mississippi currently feels that way or still feels that way. Legislators in the state have tried and are trying to change the flag. State Sen. Kenneth Wayne Jones, a Democrat, told Buzzfeed that “the time is now to change our flag.” (Read more from “The Next Battle: New Jersey Removes Mississippi State Flag From Park Due to Confederate Emblem” HERE)

Radio Ads Offer to Help Illegal Aliens Get Into U.S.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has claimed that radio advertisements in Central America are encouraging a wave of migrants to come to the U.S. for the “American dream.”

During a ride-along tour of the southern border in El Paso, Texas, Assistant Chief Patrol Jose Martinez told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo that “the word is definitely out” among would-be immigrants.

“You listen to your radio on the way to work, on your way to the grocery store and that country is advertising, ‘If you want the American dream, we’ll help you out, we’ll teach you how to get in the United States,” Martinez said.

The assistant chief patrol said that the Border Patrol’s El Paso Station is “probably the busiest area in the country at the moment with illegal entries,” saying that most who cross to the U.S. are coming from the “Northern Triangle” of Central America — Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador — as well as from Cuba and Nicaragua. . .

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan, who is also serving as acting secretary of Homeland Security, said last month that there is “an unprecedented humanitarian and border security crisis all along our Southwest border, and nowhere has that crisis manifested more acutely than here in El Paso.” (Read more from “Radio Ads Offer to Help Illegal Aliens Get Into U.S.” HERE)
