Father of Texas Mass Killer Reveals What He Believes Was Behind the Deadly Massacre

By The Blaze. The father of Santa Fe High School’s mass killer has spoken out on his beliefs as to why his son committed the atrocity that ended the lives of 10 people on Friday. . .

On Monday, the killer’s father told The Wall Street Journal that his son was a “good boy” and said that bullying was likely behind the cold and calculated execution of 10 people inside Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas. . .

“I believe that’s what was behind [the massacre],” the father said.

The father said that his life as a Greek immigrant in the U.S. has been pleasant up to this point, noting that he left his village in northern Greece when he was just 12 years old. . .

“He never got into a fight with anyone. I don’t know what happened,” he told Greek Antenna TV, according to the Post. “I hope God helps me and my family understand. We are all devastated. It would have been better if he shot me than all those kids.” (Read more from “Father of Texas Mass Killer Reveals What He Believes Was Behind the Deadly Massacre” HERE)

Texas Shooting Suspect Won’t Face Death Penalty, Could Be Paroled

By USA Today. The suspect in Friday’s school shooting may be considered an adult in Texas state courts, but he cannot face the death penalty, according to a 2005 federal Supreme Court ruling.

For 100 years, Texas has considered 17-year-olds to be adults when they commit crimes, according to research from The Marshall Project. And Dimitrios Pagourtzis was charged Friday as an adult with capital murder and aggravated assault on a peace officer.

But the 2005 high court ruling that bans execution of criminals younger than 18 and a 2012 ruling about juveniles facing life in prison mean that Pagourtzis could be up for parole after 40 years.

“The courts ruled based on the idea that those 17 and younger don’t have the cognitive development to appreciate right from wrong,” said Michael Radelet, a University of Colorado at Boulder sociology professor who has testified in more than 75 death-penalty cases. “Cases like this that are especially violent and an enigma make some people think they are more deserving of death, but the ruling is about the development of the juvenile brain.” (Read more from “Texas Shooting Suspect Won’t Face Death Penalty, Could Be Paroled” HERE)

‘Shoot to Kill’ Advice Leads New Round of Impeachment Talk

. . .This week, a prominent Harvard law professor issued a “shoot to kill” advisory regarding any impeachment effort, warning that just nicking the president would “make him feel empowered and vindicated.”

The comments come from Harvard Law prof Laurence Tribe, who was promoting a new book on CNN.

He cautioned Democrats that impeachment is not a remedy for a “garden variety crime” but for “abusing the authority that we give to high officials like the president.”

He said such an extreme course of action “will be available only if we don’t use it loosely, and ring the bell every time something looks amiss.” . . .

His warning to the president’s critics: “If you’re going to shoot him, you have to shoot to kill.” (Read more from “‘Shoot to Kill’ Advice Leads New Round of Impeachment Talk” HERE)

Black Student Upset That Exam Question on Segregation Offended White People

A law professor is offering to strike an exam question after students freaked out when he asked them to argue in favor of segregation.

University of Texas at Austin law professor Richard Albert, who is black, administered an exam asking students to argue in favor of school segregation in a memo of 1,000 words or less, according to Misrule of Law.

“No one should have been forced to write an essay defending segregation,” one unnamed white student wrote to the class in an email.

He said that the question made him “shocked and disgusted” and urged students to complain to the UT law administration.

A black student expressed displeasure with the white student’s reaction, but not because she was a fan of the question. (Read more from “Black Student Upset That Exam Question on Segregation Offended White People” HERE)

Devastating 2016 Strzok Text Found: Obama’s WH Is Running Trump Investigation

. . .That admission, combined with the voluminous ream of text messages between FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page that had previously been released, have made it abundantly clear that Obama’s FBI was indeed running a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign, one that was directed from the highest levels . . .

McCarthy’s main takeaway was that the Department of Justice had redacted the juiciest and most revealing parts of those texts, specifically the names of high-ranking officials outside of the FBI who were involved in the investigation, among other bits of information potentially damning for the Obama administration.

There was one text in particular from Strzok that McCarthy highlighted that former Bush White House press secretary Ari Fleischer felt should have garnered even more attention than it did, a message that appeared to indicate the involvement of the Obama White House in running the entire operation.

That message from Strzok to Page was in regard to a high-level meeting — which included “agency people,” as in CIA officials — held Aug. 5, 2016 following his return from a trip to London where he presumably interviewed the FBI’s informant, though those particular details were redacted.

The message from Strzok read: “And hi. Went well, best we could have expected. Other than (REDACTED) quote: ‘the White House is running this.’ My answer, ‘well, maybe for you they are.’ And of course, I was planning on telling this guy, thanks for coming, we’ve got an hour, but with Bill (Priestap) there, I’ve got no control.” (Read more from “Devastating 2016 Strzok Text Found: Obama’s WH Is Running Trump Investigation” HERE)

State Wants to Offer Free Health Care to Illegal Aliens

California is poised to become the first state in the nation to offer full health coverage to undocumented adults even as the Trump administration intensifies its crackdown by separating families at the border.

The proposal — which would build on Gov. Jerry Brown’s 2015 decision to extend health coverage to all children, regardless of immigration status — is one of the most daring examples yet of blue-state Democrats thumbing their nose at President Donald Trump as they pursue diametrically opposed policies, whether on immigration, climate change, legalized marijuana or health care. . .

But at a time when Trump is already attempting to re-energize state Republican voters — he met with California conservatives at the White House last week to strategize against the state’s sanctuary policies — the initiative might be risky. For starters, it will be costly: The annual price tag to expand Medicaid benefits to poor adult immigrants without legal status is projected at $3 billion annually. Some also worry that extending health coverage could make California a magnet for undocumented immigrants from other states.

“It would give Republicans relevance in California they would never have before,” said David McCuan, a political analyst and political science professor at Sonoma State University. He suggested the proposal would energize Republican voters, who make up a quarter of the electorate, as well as conservative-leaning unaffiliated voters. Another Bombshell Dropped About Stormy Daniel’s Lawyer

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti has reportedly defaulted on over $440,000 in back taxes, penalties and interest that he had personally promised to pay the Internal Revenue Service. The Los Angeles Times reported, Avenatti had promised to pay the money as part of a bankruptcy settlement for his law firm.

The Times wrote, “Under the Jan. 30 bankruptcy settlement, Avenatti personally agreed to pay the IRS $2.4 million in back taxes, penalties and interest, court records show. Nearly $1.3 million of that was for payroll taxes that his law firm withheld from employees, but did not turn over to the government. Avenatti has paid $1.5 million of what was due, but missed the deadline last week for paying the next installment of $440,291, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles.”

In another bankruptcy issue for Avenatti’s firm, the Times stated the Eagan Avenatti law firm was ordered to pay a $10 million judgment because Avenatti and his firm failed to pay Jason Frank, a lawyer who used to work for them. Avenatti reportedly personally promised to pay Frank $4.85 million; Avenatti allegedly agreed that if he missed the deadlines he would accept a Bankruptcy Court judgment ordering his law firm to pay Frank $10 million. That includes the $4.85 million that he’d personally guaranteed. (Read more from “Another Bombshell Dropped About Stormy Daniel’s Lawyer” HERE)

Backlash: Left-Leaning Poll Has Really Bad News for Democrats

A new poll released on Monday from a left-leaning news publication showed that the Democrats are paying dearly for their disastrous week last week where they lied about President Donald Trump’s comments regarding violent MS-13 gang members.

The Reuters Poll revealed that the double-digit lead that the Democrats held over Republicans last month in generic ballot voting for the 2018 midterms among registered voters is now completely gone as Republicans have opened up a six-point lead over the Democrats.

The poll, for the week ending on May 20, shows Republicans at 40.7 percent with Democrats falling down to 34.5 percent. This is the first time Republicans have taken the lead in Reuters’ poll in approximately a year. (Read more from “Backlash: Left-Leaning Poll Has Really Bad News for Democrats” HERE)

ICE Director Blasts Dems: Don’t Call Us Anti-Immigrant

The acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) slammed Rep. Nanette Barragan (D-CA) on Tuesday after she falsely accused the agency of being “anti-immigrant. . .

“Now we love to talk about this issue about the MS-13 gangs, we love paint immigrants as criminals,” Barragan said. “That is not the complete facts and that is very offensive for me to see continuing to happen, is continuing to message this is anti-immigrant agenda.”

“There are many of lots of good immigrants, and then I hear this rhetoric ‘more DACA like people,’ guess what,” Barragan arrogantly exclaimed. “DACA like people are the people we need in this country, they serve this country, they’ve gone to college, they produce and they contribute to the economy so to put them into the same category is completely offensive.” . . .

“First of all, no one on this panel is anti-immigrant, we are law enforcement officers that are enforcing the law that you all enacted, so to sit there and say we are anti-immigrant is just wrong,” Homan responded. “We are just enforcing the laws, if you think it’s okay to for them to enter this country and they shouldn’t be arrested that’s just wrong.” (Read more from “ICE Director Blasts Dems: Don’t Call Us Anti-Immigrant” HERE)

Former Trump Aide Drops a Major Accusation About Obama Admin Spying on Trump

By The Blaze. Michael Caputo made a major accusation against the Obama administration after it was revealed that an FBI informant might have attempted to join the Trump campaign during the 2016 election. . .

Caputo, a former Trump campaign adviser, told Laura Ingraham Monday on her Fox News show that he believed he had been approached by a second informant during the campaign from a different Obama agency.

“Let me tell you something that I know for a fact,” Caputo said. “This informant, this person that they tried to plant into the campaign and even into the administration… he’s not the only person who came into the campaign.” . . .

“I know because they came at me,” Caputo explained. “And I’m looking for clearance from my attorney to reveal this to the public. This is just the beginning.”

“And I’ll tell you when we finally find out the truth about this, [former National Intelligence] Director [James] Clapper and the rest of them will be wearing some orange suits,” he asserted angrily. Trump Meets With Rosenstein, Wray Amid Campaign Spying Claims

By Fox News. President Trump on Monday met with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray, a day after demanding a DOJ investigation into whether the FBI “infiltrated” his 2016 campaign.

“Based on the meeting with the president, the Department of Justice has asked the Inspector General to expand its current investigation to include any irregularities with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s or the Department of Justice’s tactics concerning the Trump Campaign,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

Sanders said it was also agreed to that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly will “immediately set up a meeting with the FBI, DOJ, and DNI together with congressional leaders to review highly classified and other information they have requested.”

The president made the investigation demand on Sunday, following reports detailing how an FBI “informant” had multiple contacts with members of Trump’s campaign. Trump said he would formally seek a DOJ probe of whether agents surveilled the campaign for political purposes, and whether any such demands came from the Obama administration.

Within hours, the DOJ had asked the department’s inspector general to handle such a review. (Read more from “Trump Meets With Rosenstein, Wray Amid Campaign Spying Claims” HERE)

Still Not Over Trump: Hillary Clinton Once Again Complains About 2016, This Time at Yale

“Let me just get this out of the way: No, I’m not over it. I still think about the 2016 election. I still regret the mistakes I made,” the failed Democratic nominee told graduating seniors at Yale University on Sunday afternoon.

“Right now, we’re living through a full-fledged crisis in our democracy,” she told 1,360 seniors. “Now there are not tanks in the streets, but what’s happening right now goes to the heart of who we are as a nation. I say this not as a Democrat who lost an election but as an American afraid of losing a country.” . . .

A graduate of Yale Law School herself, Clinton also mused about some of the ways students in New Haven might have coped with her loss — sprinkling in a reference to a campus watering hole. “I had my fair share of chardonnay,” she said. “You went through penny drinks at Woads.” . . .

“This isn’t simply a ‘both sides’ problem. The radicalization of American politics hasn’t been symmetrical,” said Clinton. There are leaders in our country who blatantly incite people with hateful rhetoric, who fear change, who see the world in zero sum terms, so that if others are gaining they must be losing. That’s a recipe for polarization and conflict.” (Read more from “Still Not Over Trump: Hillary Clinton Once Again Complains About 2016, This Time at Yale” HERE)
