Since Global Warming Didn’t Happen, Humans Are Now Accused of Making the World Colder

After insisting for more than three decades that human activity was driving the earth’s temperatures to dangerous levels, climate scientists and activists now contend that same activity is keeping the planet artificially cool and that cleaning up the atmosphere will leave us feeling the heat.

On Jan. 22, an online article for Scientific American makes the claim that certain parts of the pollution created by human behavior are actually preventing us from feeling the impact of the other emissions we spew into the air.

“Pollution in the atmosphere is having an unexpected consequence, scientists say – it’s helping to cool the climate, masking some of the global warming that’s occurred so far. That means efforts worldwide to clean up the air may cause an increase in warming, as well as other climate effects, as this pollution disappears,” wrote Chelsea Harvey for the Scientific American story.

“New research is helping to quantify just how big that effect might be. A study published this month in the journal ‘Geophysical Research Letters’ suggests that eliminating the human emission of aerosols – tiny, air-polluting particles often released by industrial activities – could result in additional global warming of anywhere from half a degree to 1 degree Celsius,” added Harvey.

So after years of telling people their activity is responsible for the climate we experience, climate activists are now claiming our behavior is responsible for not feeling what we’ve supposedly caused? Macron Jokes About Trump’s Climate Change Stance at Davos

By The Hill. French President Emmanuel Macron poked fun at President Trump’s climate change denial while giving a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“Obviously and fortunately, you didn’t invite anybody skeptical with global warming this year,” Macron joked Wednesday at the annual gathering of global elites.

Macron has frequently criticized Trump’s denial that climate change exists, especially after Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Paris climate accord over the summer.

Macron said that was a mistake and announced in December that he would give grants to American climate scientists to conduct research in France during the remainder of Trump’s presidency. Muslim Who Shot Cop for Islam Was ‘Lying in Wait’

An ISIS-inspired gunman who shot a Philadelphia police officer multiple times “in the name of Islam” in 2016 was “lying in wait” before the ambush attack on the unsuspecting cop who was merely sitting in his patrol car, prosecutors say . . .

Archer is accused of firing 13 shots at Officer Jesse James Hartnett, a four-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, on the evening of Jan. 7, 2016. Hartnett was shot multiple times in his left arm as he shielded his head from the rounds of Archer’s stolen 9 mm Glock handgun.

In court Thursday, Archer refused to enter a plea, the Associated Press reported.

“I don’t plead to anyone but Allah,” he said . . .

The gunman reportedly gave a full confession in 2016, saying he did it in the name of Islam, according to CBS News. Sources also told Eyewitness News that Archer provided the confession in written form, and his police testimony was recorded on camera, as well. Soros Threatens: Trump ‘Will Disappear in 2020 or Even Sooner’

On Thursday, far-left billionaire George Soros, who is the financial backbone of the Democratic Party, attacked President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Soros, who spent millions backing failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, claimed that Trump was leading the world to nuclear war and that he is trying to establish a dictatorship in the United States, CNBC reported.

“Indeed, the United States is set on a course towards nuclear war by refusing to accept that [North] Korea has become a nuclear power,” Soros said. “This creates a strong incentive for North Korea to develop its nuclear capacity with all possible speed, which in turn may induce the United States to use its nuclear superiority pre-emptively, in effect to start a nuclear war to prevent a nuclear war, obviously a self-contradictory strategy.”

Soros claimed, without evidence, that Trump is trying to institute a “mafia state” in the U.S. but can’t “because the Constitution and the institutions and a vibrant society won’t allow it.” He also said that he is using his Open Society Foundation, a radical left-wing organization to which he just gave $18 billion, to “protect the democratic achievements of the past.” [He also issued a veiled threat to Trump:] “Clearly I consider the Trump administration a danger to the world,” Soros continued. “But I regard it as a purely temporary phenomenon that will disappear in 2020 or even sooner.” (Read more from “Soros Threatens: Trump ‘Will Disappear in 2020 or Even Sooner'” HERE)

DISASTER: Trump’s Amnesty Bid Triple Obama’s

By Samuel Chamberlain. The White House Thursday released an immigration plan that would offer a path to citizenship for approximately 1.8 million of the so-called “Dreamers,” along with a $25 billion investment in border security — including for President Trump’s long-promised wall.

The White House was expected to provide more details of the president’s proposal early next week. But the proposal represents a reversal for Trump and could provoke resistance among his conservative allies.

In September, Trump ended the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which currently covers roughly 690,000 immigrants who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

“We’re not looking at citizenship,” Trump told reporters at the time. “We’re not looking at amnesty. We’re looking at allowing people to stay here.”

Trump’s Immigration Plans Include Doubling DACA, Path to Citizenship, $25 Billion Wall

By Jennifer Epstein. President Donald Trump will support a path to citizenship for as many as 1.8 million undocumented immigrants brought into the U.S. as children, doubling the number of people covered by current protections from deportation, White House officials said Thursday.

As part of any deal, Trump also wants Congress to provide a $25 billion trust fund to pay for a southern border wall and enhanced security at ports of entry as well as improvements along the U.S.-Canada border. He also will seek additional funds for immigration enforcement personnel and immigration judges.

The requests, detailed in what the White House is calling a “legislative framework” that is being delivered to Congress, also include limiting family-based immigration to nuclear families — spouses and children only — and ending the visa lottery system put into place more than two decades ago. Three White House officials previewed the framework on the condition of anonymity ahead of a formal announcement . . .

Senate Republicans generally applauded White House on releasing the president’s framework, including hardliners like Tom Cotton of Arkansas and David Perdue of Georgia. Photo of Obama with Hate Group Leader Surfaces After Being Kept Secret for Years to Protect Him

A new photo has been recently released of former President Barack Obama with the leader of a black nationalist hate group.

The picture shows former Illinois Sen. Obama posing with the leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan.

Farrakhan is known for his radical anti-Semitic and anti-white views, outlined by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The photo was taken by Askia Muhammad at the 2005 Democratic National Convention, according to NorthStar News Today, but he kept the picture hidden so Obama could run for president.

“I gave the picture up at the time and basically swore to secrecy,” Muhammad said to the Trice Edney News Wire. “But after the nomination was secured and all the way up until the inauguration; then for eight years after he was President, it was kept under cover.”

Now that Obama is done with his political career, Muhammad published the photo in a book called “The Autobiography of Charles 67X,” which will be released at the end of this month, The Daily Caller reported.

Muhammad insisted that it would have made a difference in the 2008 election, and others agreed with him.

“I do believe that it would have had a very, very negative affect in that given moment as far as the candidacy of candidate Obama at that time,” Dr. Shayla Nunnally, president of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists, said.

A. Peter Bailey, columnist and political observer, disagreed that it could have cost Obama the election.

“It could have done some damage,” he said, according to NorthStar News Today. “But nothing could have stopped the election because Black support would have countered it.”

Obama’s support of Farrakhan came up during during the 2008 campaign when Hillary Clinton criticized him during a debate.

“There’s a difference between denouncing and rejecting,” Clinton said, according to CNN. “And I think when it comes to this sort of, you know, inflammatory — I have no doubt that everything that Barack just said is absolutely sincere. But I just think, we’ve got to be even stronger. We cannot let anyone in any way say these things because of the implications that they have, which can be so far reaching.”

This criticism came after Farrakhan “made positive statements about Obama’s candidacy,” and Obama said that he denounced the controversial leader’s anti-Semitic remarks.

“I obviously can’t censor him, but it is not support that I sought,” he said in the debate. “And we’re not doing anything, I assure you, formally or informally with Minister Farrakhan.”

When Clinton pushed him about rejecting the remarks instead of just denouncing them, he said, “But if the word ‘reject’ Senator Clinton feels is stronger than the word ‘denounce,’ then I’m happy to concede the point, and I would reject and denounce.”

Once Again, Actual Science Supports Trump Admin Deregulation Plan over Obama

Methane emissions in Texas’ biggest oil and gas-producing counties cratered between 2011 and 2016, according to a report from a group that promotes natural gas production.

Emissions dropped over 211,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent during that five-year period among the state’s natural gas-producing counties, according to an analysis from Texans for Energy.

Similar reduction levels were noted among the ten largest oil-producing counties.

“The story on methane is all about technological innovation, particularly how Texas oil and gas producers have been able to make us more energy secure while also reducing emissions,” Steve Everley, a spokesman for Texans for Natural Gas, said in a statement to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

CO2e is a measure used to compare the emissions from various greenhouse gases — usually methane and nitrous oxide — based upon their global warming potential.

Production spiked while emissions significantly decreased, the analysis also found. Midland County, for instance, produced nearly 73 million barrels of oil in 2016, roughly a 296 percent increase since 2011, according to the report that was conducted using the Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program.

Technological advancements are successfully doing what regulations could only hope, Everley said of the techniques energy producers use to extract natural gas from Texas’ Permian Basis.

“Critics of the U.S. oil and gas boom have repeatedly claimed that methane is an environmental threat that requires new regulations from Washington,” he added.

Midland Country was not the only country in oil-rich Texas to see a dramatic emission decrease.

Natural gas production in Webb County increased by 127 percent between 2011 and 2016, and emissions in the county plummeted about 37,000 metric tons CO2e — or a 97 percent decline.

President Donald Trump announced in December 2017 that he would suspend or delay key requirements of a former President Barack Obama-era global warming regulation to reduce methane emissions on federal lands.

Oil companies have complained about the regulations since they were implemented in 2015.

The Bureau of Land Management will delay portions of the Obama administration’s methane flaring rule until 2019 to give the agency time to review the rule. BLM found the oil and gas industry would be “unnecessarily burdened” by a regulation that may be rewritten.

Obama finalized the rule in 2016 as part of his plan to fight global warming.

Forcing oil companies to install new equipment to reduce venting and flaring would supplement costs to taxpayers, officials claimed at the time.

CNN Doles out Marriage Advice: Let Someone Else Sleep with Your Spouse

CNN, the network known for providing hard-hitting, always-truthful stories about the current political climate, took a day off from combing the White House halls for anonymous sources Thursday to issue a bit of marital advice. And as expected, it’s just as fantastic as their reporting.

According to CNN, perhaps the best thing to do for your relationship is to let your partner sleep with another person.

No, really. The network reports that, according to a recent study by three people with admitted interest in destroying the moral fabric of society, “cuckolding” — or watching your partner have sex with someone who isn’t you — is actually good for marriages, and can have some positive benefits.

The authors David Ley, Justin Lehmiller, and “Savage Love” writer and activist Dan Savage, want you to know most people who try being a “cuck” find it a positive and rewarding experience, and that “acting on cuckolding fantasies can be a largely positive experience for many couples, and hardly a sign of weakness.”

Winning: Home Depot Employees Feel the Trump Effect

We were all told that people will die(!) from the Republican tax cuts. But, as it turns out, letting Americans keep more of their money and cutting the corporate tax is actually bringing a massive boom to the economy and helping the middle class.

It was announced on Thursday that Home Depot would be giving their hourly employees $1,000 bonuses due to the Republican tax plan. That means more than 400,000 Americans will be taking home an extra grand thanks to the GOP and their $1.5 trillion tax package that slashes the corporate tax from 35% to 21%.

“This incremental investment in our associates was made possible by the new tax reform bill,” said a statement from Craig Menear, Home Depot chairman and CEO . . .

The home improvement supplies chain is just the latest company to offer cash or benefits to their employees in wake of the business-friendly bill’s passage. Just one day before the Home Depot news, for example, Starbucks announced pay raises, stock grants, and sweetened benefits to their hourly employees. Democrat Eyeing 2020 Race Against Trump

Bernie Sanders convened his top political advisers in Washington on Saturday for a planning meeting that included a discussion of the feasibility and shape of a possible 2020 presidential campaign, half a dozen senior Democrats familiar with the gathering confirmed to POLITICO.

The top-line message the Vermont senator received from the operatives gathered during the government shutdown was a more formal version of the one they’ve been giving him regularly for months: You would be one of the front-runners for the Democratic nomination. And if you want to run, it’s time to start seriously planning accordingly.

The Democratic socialist’s response to the series of presentations, according to multiple Democrats: I haven’t yet made a decision about 2020, but I still think beating Donald Trump is the most important thing for this country. And I want to be ready if I do decide to run.

Sanders regularly speaks with a close group of advisers and periodically brings top allies in to discuss his political maneuvers, but Saturday’s get-together included planning for the rest of 2018 as well as a specifically slated 2020 component, said Democrats familiar with the session, which was scheduled for the one-year anniversary of Trump’s inauguration. Part of the discussion included gaming out how the rest of the field might look, since 2016’s landscape — effectively pitting Sanders directly against Hillary Clinton — was far more straightforward than the expected 2020 free-for-all.

Multiple Democrats close to Sanders insisted that the meeting was not solely a 2020 planning session and that the conversation was one in a series of talks that he frequently has with aides and associates in regular, less formal sessions. But they all acknowledged that this gathering was larger than the rest, and that it included a preplanned discussion of the next presidential race. Vet’s Flag Flap Triggers Huge Bribery, Fraud Cases

Remember the big fracas that erupted over a veteran who posted two small American flags on the fence of a Veterans Administration facility in Los Angeles and ended up facing criminal charges? . . .

In fact, according to government watchdog Judicial Watch, one of the officials who was running the center has been prosecuted for taking “hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from a vendor that defrauded the VA out of millions.”

“While the feds went on a witch hunt against the 75-year-old vet for affixing Old Glory at a site honoring those who served their country, the VA director was committing the real crime,” Judicial Watch said. “This month the corrupt VA official, Ralph Tillman, agreed to plead guilty to two felony offenses for taking over a quarter of a million dollars in bribes from a parking lot operator at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.”

Justice Department officials confirmed Tillman, a former contract officer with the Department of Veterans Affairs, was charged with filing a false federal tax return and lying to VA investigators.
