N.Y. Times: Mueller Subpoenas Bannon

The New York Times, citing only an unidentified source close to the investigation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, is reporting that Stephen Bannon, President Trump’s former chief strategist, has been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury.

The paper said it was the first time Mueller is “known to have used a grand jury subpoena to seek information from a member of Mr. Trump’s inner circle.”

Bannon, who before and after his service to the president was executive chairman of Breitbart News, became a flashpoint with the recent release of journalist Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” where he was quoted calling a meeting Donald Trump Jr. attended in 2016 with Russians as “treasonous.”

Bannon left the Trump administration last August, then stepped away from his post as executive chairman of Breitbart last week.

But Bannon apparently was not directly involved in two of the key concerns reportedly being investigated by Mueller, who for the last year has failed to produce any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russians, his stated assignment when appointed. Former Pastor Arrested for Attempting to Smuggle Marijuana into US

John Bishop, the former lead pastor of Vancouver’s Living Hope Church, is facing a federal drug charge in U.S. District Court in Southern California for allegedly trying to smuggle more than 280 pounds of marijuana into the country from Mexico.

The 54-year-old was arrested Dec. 11 after he was stopped about 5:25 a.m. by U.S. Customs and Border Protection while re-entering the country through the port of entry at San Ysidro, Calif. Bishop reportedly told border patrol agents he was driving to Chula Vista, Calif., according to a probable cause affidavit filed in the case.

While conducting a routine inspection of Bishop’s gray Volkswagen Jetta, the officer found packages hidden in a wheel well. A narcotics detection dog was summoned and subsequently alerted officers to the undercarriage and trunk of the car, the affidavit states.

The car was taken apart revealing 105 packages weighing 281.88 pounds that field-tested positive for marijuana. Packages were removed from the car’s bumpers, rear seat, dashboard and at least one wheel well, the court document said.

Bishop was taken into custody and charged with unlawful importation of a controlled substance, according to a complaint filed Dec. 12 in U.S. District Court. (Read more from “Former Pastor Arrested for Attempting to Smuggle Marijuana into US” HERE)

DHS to Charge Leaders of Sanctuary Cities

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts.

“The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available,” Ms. Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Her confirmation came after California’s new sanctuary law went into effect Jan. 1, severely restricting cooperation the state or any of its localities could offer.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan says those policies put his officers and local communities at more risk because they have to arrest illegal immigrants out in the community.

Mr. Homan told The Washington Times last July that he wanted to see local officials charged as complicit in human smuggling if they shielded illegal immigrants through sanctuary policies. (Read more from “DHS to Charge Leaders of Sanctuary Cities” HERE)

Wedding Program Turns Into Devlish Message

Two homosexuals are suing Vistaprint after they ordered wedding programs for their recent ceremony – and instead opened the package on the eve of the event to discover pamphlets that warned “Satan entices your flesh with evil desires.”

Divine message or shipping flub?

The New York Post described how the two were horrified.

“Rather than send plaintiffs the custom wedding programs they had purchased, Vistaprint instead sent plaintiffs literature with hateful, discriminatory and anti-gay messages equating their relationship to Satan’s temptation,” the Post quoted from the lawsuit.

The men, Stephen Heasley and Andrew Borg, said they are suing to “hold Vistaprint accountable for the harm they have caused … and to send the message that there will be consequences for acts of hate perpetrated against others.” (Read more from “Wedding Program Turns Into Devlish Message” HERE)

Blockbuster Musician Claims CIA Asked Him to Spread Story About Trump Collusion With Russia

By Fox News. Singer Moby claimed his friends in the CIA asked him to spread the word that President Trump has ties to Russia because he has a larger social media following than the government agency.

Moby, whose birth name is Richard Melville Hall, told Kentucky radio station WFPK in an interview this week that he has friends in the CIA who asked him for his help.

The subject came up after the host, Kyle Meredith, asked the electronic singer about his cryptic Facebook post he wrote in 2017. The post stated that after he spent time with friends who “work in D.C.” he could “accurately post” that the Fusion GPS Dossier was “100% real. He’s being blackmailed by the Russian government.” The post also claimed Trump has colluded “with the Russian government, and has been since day one,” wants to go to war and there are “right-wing plans to get rid of Trump.”

Moby said he wrote the post because his “friends” he claimed are “active and former CIA agents” asked him to “pass on some information.”

“They were like, ‘This is the Manchurian Candidate, like [Putin] has a Russian agent as the President of the United States,’” he told Meredith. “So they passed on some information to me and they said, like, ‘Look, you have more of a social media following than any of us do, can you please post some of these things just in a way that sort of put it out there.’”

Moby Says CIA Agents Asked Him to Spread the Word About Trump and Russia

By Noah Yoo. Last February, following the Presidential inauguration of Donald Trump, Moby posted on social media claiming to have insider information on connections between the Trump administration and Russia. The producer/DJ said that “after talking to friends in DC,” he had allegedly learned that the Fusion GPS dossier was “100% real” and that the Russian government was “blackmailing” the president. Now, in a new interview with WFPK in Louisville, Kentucky, Moby has doubled down on his claims (as CoS points out) . . .

He added, “It’s really disturbing and it’s going to get quite a lot darker. Like the depths of the Trump family in business and their involvement with organized crime, sponsored terrorism, Russian oligarchs, it’s really dark. I guess we should all, like, fasten our seat belts and hold on.” (Read more from “Moby Says CIA Agents Asked Him to Spread the Word About Trump and Russia” HERE)

The Current Hillary Scandal Everyone’s Ignoring

With the Clinton Foundation now under Department of Justice scrutiny over allegations of “pay for play” politics, it’s clear that while the Clintons’ political power may be fading, their propensity for scandal isn’t going away.

But there is more. The Federal Election Commission is examining a complaint that the Hillary Victory Fund — a $500 million joint fundraising committee between the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee and Democratic state parties — engaged in a scheme to illegal direct some $84 million directly to Clinton’s campaign.

A pro-Trump political action committee called the Committee to Defend the President filed the complaint with the FEC in December accusing the Democratic establishment of using state chapters as straw men to circumvent campaign donation limits and launder money to Clinton’s campaign.

Last week, meanwhile, the Hill reported the Justice Department has launched a new inquiry into whether the Clintons promised or performed any policy favors in return for donations to their Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.

The FEC allegation, said Ted Harvey, chairman of the Committee to Defend the President, is based on former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile’s public comments, a memo by former Clinton campaign manager Robbie Mook and months of reviewing FEC reports. Revealed: How Trump Will Get Mexico to Pay for Wall

Quietly, and without any fanfare from major media, Donald Trump has unveiled his plan for getting Mexico to pay for the border wall.

He says he plans to offer a new deal on NAFTA that will share increased revenues between the two countries more equitably, a small portion of which will be diverted to pay for the cost of the wall.

The Trump administration is currently seeking federal funding for the wall while renegotiating the U.S. trade deal with both Mexico and Canada.

“They can pay for it indirectly through NAFTA,” Trump said Thursday in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. “We make a good deal on NAFTA, and, say, ‘I’m going to take a small percentage of that money and it’s going toward the wall.’ Guess what? Mexico’s paying.”

Trump’s comments came hours after he was updated by his administration’s top economic and trade advisers on the progress of those negotiations and the administration’s trade actions more broadly. (Read more from “Revealed: How Trump Will Get Mexico to Pay for Wall” HERE)

New Study: Senator’s DACA Dream Is Arizona’s Crime Nightmare

We have enough of our own culture of violence in our major cities. Is it too much to ask that we don’t import the violent criminals of other countries? Or perhaps, for our political elite who don’t understands the concept of a government representing its own people, we can frame the question in the language they understand: We already have our own $#!%holes (Chicago, Baltimore, etc.). Do we need to import $#!%holes from the rest of the world?

A new report published by expert criminologist John Lott lays waste to the long-standing lie peddled by open-borders advocates that crime rates are low among illegal aliens. Part of the reason it has been so hard to prove conclusively what everyone sees in their communities is that most crime is dealt with at a state and local level, and most states don’t have uniform data on the immigration status of criminals processed through their systems. Lott is the famed author of “More Guns, Less Crime,” who now runs the Crime Prevention Research Center. Milton Friedman once said of John Lott that he “has few equals as a perceptive analyst of controversial public policy issues.”

Lott studied data from the state of Arizona from 1985 to 2017 to prove conclusively that illegal aliens commit crimes at a disproportionate rate relative to their share of the population. ere is what he found:

Illegal immigrants in Arizona are at least 142 percent more likely to be convicted of crime than other Arizonans. And these are not just immigration and drug violations that we see on the federal level. They are more likely to be convicted of serious violent crimes: at least 163 percent more likely for first-degree murder; 168 percent more likely for second-degree murder; and 189.6 percent more likely for manslaughter. Also, Lott’s data confirms what some of us see anecdotally every day but is ignored by the national media – that illegals in Arizona are more likely to commit sexual offenses against minors, sexual assault, drunk driving, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

We are often told that “dreamers” are a cut above the rest of the illegal population, and President Trump, who otherwise understands the truth on the broader issue, seems to have accepted this premise. Lott’s research found that although DACA-age illegals compose 0.81 percent of Arizona’s population, they represent 8 percent of the prison population. This means they compose 71.2 percent of the illegal immigrant population in prison and that they are 884 percent more likely to be convicted of crimes than non-immigrants of their age. If anything, “dreamers” are actually a bigger public safety risk than older illegal immigrants.

While there is no uniform data nationwide, Lott projects that “[I]f undocumented immigrants committed crime nationally as they do in Arizona, in 2016 they would have been responsible for over 1,000 more murders, 5,200 rapes, 8,900 robberies, 25,300 aggravated assaults, and 26,900 burglaries.”

Illegal immigrant criminals are 45.4 percent more likely to have been gang members, and “they are 133% more likely to receive sentencing enhancements for being classified as dangerous, and they tend to be released from prison at a younger age despite more serious crimes because they initially go to jail at a younger age.” Keep in mind that Obama’s DACA program tried to avoid scrutinizing juvenile records of recipients.

It’s important to remember that the data Lott studied came from the Arizona Department of Corrections, put together for the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council. The report analyzed “the entire universe of cases [615,555 convicted crimes], not a sample, and thus there are no issues of statistical significance.” There is reason to believe illegals might commit an even more disproportionate share of crimes that go unreported, especially within their communities, but convictions are a solid data point that reveals the floor, not the ceiling, of the criminal alien crisis. Remember, even among the general population, only a fraction of crimes are reported and wind up leading to a conviction. For conviction rates to be this high among illegals is staggering.

No wonder so many liberal state governments refuse to release data on immigration and crime. Until recently, the federal government hid the data on crime rates and immigration status in federal facilities. Thankfully, Trump’s DOJ released the data showing non-citizens (mainly illegal aliens) accounted for convictions 2.5 times their share of the population.

Folks, this is a national disgrace. Even if this were only limited to Arizona, it would be a gross violation of Article 4 Sec. 4, which tasks the federal government with the job of protecting states from invasion. But there is no reason to believe that the crime rates among illegal aliens are any different in most other states. This is a national emergency. Instead of a DACA “fix,” where is the clamor for a criminal alien fix for Americans?

While we have our own violent crime problem in America, the number of our violent criminals from other countries should be zero. That is because we should never bring in anyone who is violent, and those who manage to get in or commit crimes after being legally admitted should immediately be deported. Citizens, of course, cannot be deported. But immigration is a choice by we the people. So why are we electing to turn out country into a dumping ground?

Meanwhile, we have Arizona’s very junior senator, Jeff Flake, advertising his upcoming sanctimonious speech declaring that Trump is like Stalin. This man is a living and breathing disgrace, a violation of the social contract. As a senator from Arizona, he should be laying down on the proverbial tracks to stand up for his state and demand the deportation of every single criminal alien, the punishing of sanctuaries, and the immediate implementation of border and interior enforcement. Instead, he is exhibiting utter disregard for his own people and expending his entire tenure granting more legal rights and access to welfare for a particular population that, in general, is even more violent than the rest of illegal immigrants.

Proponents of DACA amnesty will claim that only the very best will get amnesty, but Flake is pushing for a broader Dream Act, which encompasses this entire population of illegals under 35, a population that Lott found to be full of violent criminals. Moreover, even among the 700,000 DACA population, only Goodlatte’s bill would open up juvenile records, which, according to this study, show the true extent of the criminal activity among many of the “Dreamers.”

It is even more disgraceful that people like Mitt Romney are using Martin Luther King’s legacy to promote the continued failed legacy of our immigration system when he was all about the rule of law and the equal treatment of all American citizens. Now, all Americans — black and white — are getting sent to the back of the bus for illegal aliens and are being thrown under the bus in their communities by politicians who harbor criminal aliens at the expense of public safety.

Illegal aliens in general, and “dreamers” in particular, have been a nightmare for Arizona. This shouldn’t even be a partisan issue. Everyone should agree to immediately deport all criminal aliens before there is any discussion of amnesty. Sadly, Jeff Flake and his compatriots are daydreaming about amnesty while his constituents bear the crushing cost of his nightmare. These Are the 15 Most Reliable Cars on the Road in the US

A new study has listed the 15 most reliable cars for American drivers based on how long consumers keep their vehicles on the road before trading them in, and the results may surprise you.

The results were tallied by iSeeCars.com, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

Japanese car models reportedly ruled the top spots, with Toyota dominating the top five.

The Daily Mail reported that the Toyota Hylander came in at number one, as more than 18 percent of original owners have kept this car on the road for 15 years or more.

Vehicles rounding out the rest of the top five are the Sienna, Tundra, Prius, and RAV 4 models.

Fellow Japanese automaker Honda breaks Toyota’s streak with the Odyssey, a minivan making the number six spot.

Along with Toyota and Honda, Acura, Subaru and Nissan all made the list, while German automaker Volkswagen snagged the 15th spot with their Golf model, cementing them the only non-Japanese car manufacturer to break the top fifteen.

ISeeCars reportedly researched some 650,000 cars, according to the Daily Mail.

The cars ranged from model years 1981-2002.

“While a decade on the road used to be a significant milestone for vehicle life expectancy, the elevated quality of cars being produced has raised this standard to beyond ten years,” said Phong Ly, CEO of the ISeeCars, in a statement to the Mail.

“Japanese automakers are known for setting quality and reliability standards, so it is no surprise that they are the most likely to reach the 15-year milestone.” he continued.

Notably, the only hybrid model vehicle to appear was the Toyota Prius.

Ly asserted that drivers of hybrid vehicles will be more inclined to keep their cars going longer, in an effort to compensate for the higher up front cost of owning a battery powered car.

“Hybrid owners have the added incentive to keep their cars on the road for longer in order to accrue fuel savings to offset the increased upfront cost of these vehicles, Ly told The Daily Mail.

He continued “Despite consumers’ concerns about battery durability and the associated high replacement cost, its appearance on the list shows that the reliability of the Prius measures up to Toyota’s conventional fuel counterparts.”

American made vehicles were surprisingly absent from the list, with the Daily Mail pointing out that while American pick-up trucks were reportedly “close to average,” they were still outmatched by Japan’s Toyota Tundra.

Below is a list of the top 15 vehicles.

Toyota Highlander (18.3%)
Toyota Sienna (17.1%)
Toyota Tundra (15.7%)
Toyota Prius (15.0%)
Toyota RAV4 (14.3%)
Honda Odyssey (12.8%)
Toyota Sequoia (12.8%)
Toyota Tacoma (12.4%)
Honda CR-V (11.9%)
Toyota Avalon (11.7%)
Acura MDX (11.6%)
Toyota Camry (11.5%)
Subaru Forester (11.5%)
Nissan Frontier (11.0%)
Volkswagen Golf (10.6%)

Aircraft Could Go Five Times the Speed of Sound

Boeing has finally unveiled a successor to the legendary Blackbird SR-71 spy plane, capable of travelling at five times the speed of sound.

The new ‘Son of Blackbird’ was revealed at an event in Orlando, Florida, but it’s only a concept design for now.

The new aircraft will be a direct competitor to Lockheed martin’s upcoming SR-72.

These rival firms are racing to create a hypersonic aircraft that’s capable of stealthy recon assignments – and strike missions, too.

Speaking to Aviation Week Aerospace Daily, Boeing’s hypersonics chief described how Boeing was planning a two-step development process for the new war plane. (Read more from “Aircraft Could Go Five Times the Speed of Sound” HERE)
