Hillary Confirms Trillion Dollar Tax Hike Plan

hqdefaultDuring an interview with the editorial team of the New York Daily News, Hillary Clinton admitted her tax proposals will increase taxes on the American people by at least $1 trillion over the next ten years. Here is the key exchange from the meeting, according to a transcript released by the Daily News:

Clinton: I have connected up my proposals for the kind of investments I want to make with the taxes that I think have to be raised. So on individual pieces of my agenda, I try to demonstrate clearly that I have a way for paying for paid family leave, for example, for debt-free tuition. So I would spend about $100 billion a year. And I think it’s affordable, and I think it’s a smart way to make investments, to go back to our economic discussion, that will contribute to growing the economy.

Now I’m well aware that this is a heavy lift. I understand that. But I think connecting what I’m asking for to the programs, to the outcomes and results that I’m calling for give me a stronger hand, and that’s how I’m going to go at it.

Daily News: So if I understand you correctly, if you look at your proposals for college costs and for family leave, for infrastructure investments…

Clinton: Well, that’s a little bit different, because infrastructure investment, I’m still looking at how we fund the National Infrastructure Bank. It may be repatriation. That’s one theory, or something else. It’s about $100 billion a year.

IRS Chief: Agency Encourages Illegal Alien Theft of SSNs to File Tax Returns

Migrants_in_Hungary_2015_Aug_003The IRS is struggling to ensure that illegal immigrants are able to illegally use Social Security numbers for legitimate purposes, the agency’s head told senators on Tuesday, without allowing the numbers to be used for “bad” reasons.

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen made the statement in response to a question from Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., during a session of the Senate Finance Committee about why the IRS appears to be collaborating with taxpayers who file tax returns using fraudulent information. Coats said that his staff had discovered the practice after looking into agency procedures.

“What we learned is that … the IRS continues to process tax returns with false W-2 information and issue refunds as if they were routine tax returns, and say that’s not really our job,” Coats said. “We also learned the IRS ignores notifications from the Social Security Administration that a name does not match a Social Security number, and you use your own system to determine whether a number is valid.”

Asked to explain those practices, Koskinen replied, “What happens in these situations is someone is using a Social Security number to get a job, but they’re filing their tax return with their [taxpayer identification number].” What that means, he said, is that “they are undocumented aliens … . They’re paying taxes. It’s in everybody’s interest to have them pay the taxes they owe.” (Read more from “IRS Chief: Agency Encourages Illegal Alien Theft of SSNs to File Tax Returns” HERE)

Lawmakers Say Redacted Pages of 9/11 Report Show Saudi Official Met Hijackers in This US City

National_Park_Service_9-11_Statue_of_Liberty_and_WTC_fireLawmakers are calling on the White House to declassify more than two dozen pages in the 9/11 Commission report that they say outlines evidence for possible support from the Saudi government for two hijackers who settled in Southern California.

A CBS News “60 Minutes” report quoted officials familiar with the 2003 report as saying 28 pages of redacted information raises questions over whether Saudi officials were involved in assisting Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar upon their arrival in Los Angeles in Jan. 2000.

Former Democratic congressman and U.S. ambassador to India Tim Roemer told “60 Minutes” the two Saudi nationals found a way to gain access to housing and flight lessons upon their arrival despite “extremely limited language skills and no experience with Western culture.”

“L.A., San Diego, that’s really you know, the hornet’s nest,” said Roemer. “That’s really the one that I continue to think about almost on a daily basis.”

According to the report, witnesses say both al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar met at the King Fahad mosque in Culver City with Fahad al-Thumairy, “a diplomat at the Saudi consulate known to hold extremist views.” He was denied reentry to the U.S. in 2003 for suspected terrorist ties. Donald Trump’s Possible VP Pick

8567828196_810cd563d5_b[Donald] Trump assured [Kirsten Powers] that he is ready to “start building coalitions” at the right moment. “I’ll tell you what else is going to be soon. My whole life I’ve gotten along with people. … People you see excoriating me on TV … are calling my office wanting to get on the team. I actually asked a couple of them, ‘How can you do this after what you said?’ And they said, ‘No problem’” . . .

Could he build coalitions with people who had wronged him? Could he, for example, see appointing Sen. Marco Rubio to a position in his administration?

“Yes. I like Marco Rubio. Yeah. I could,” he answered. As for a potential Rubio vice president: “There are people I have in mind in terms of vice president. I just haven’t told anybody names. … I do like Marco. I do like (John) Kasich. … I like (Scott) Walker actually in a lot of ways. I hit him very hard. … But I’ve always liked him. There are people I like, but I don’t think they like me because I have hit them hard.”

He seems to have forgiven Rubio for his cringe-inducing attempt at stand-up comedy at Trump’s expense. “He made a mistake,” Trump said. “He became Don Rickles for about four days, and then I became worse than Don Rickles.”

I told Trump about a Hillary Clinton-supporting family member who, after watching a Trump speech, noted to me that he’d be very hard to beat. Everything Trump says — opposition to the Iraq War, criticism of trade and criticism of Washington — is right, she told me. (Read more from “Donald Trump’s Possible VP Pick” HERE)

Clinton Angrily Refuses to Release Wall Street Transcripts [+video]

hqdefaultIn an interview with two Philadelphia newspapers Monday, Hillary Clinton again refused to release the transcripts to her [pricey] Wall Street speeches but insisted that she was the most transparent candidate for president.

“Well, I can only say this: let’s make sure everybody is already as transparent as I,” Clinton said when asked whether her refusal to release the transcripts signaled that she had “something to hide.”

Clinton avoided discussing the transcripts and instead focused on the “30 years” worth of tax returns that she had released. Seeing as rival Bernie Sanders has yet to release his tax returns, Clinton claimed, she was being held to a “double standard.”

“There certainly has been a double standard between me and others who run,” Clinton said. “Let’s meet the same standards. Let’s start with tax returns. That has been the standard.”

Sanders promised Sunday to release his tax returns and echoed an earlier claim that he and his wife, who files the returns, have been busy. Still, Clinton proceeded to apply the double standard logic to her Wall Street speeches and said that she would release her transcripts when Sanders released his. Liberal Media Targets Trump With Surprising New Tactic That Could Sink His Campaign

images (89)Donald Trump has faced continuous criticism over the course of his political career over what some would call shifting political beliefs.

Numerous attempts have been made to shed light on Trump’s past and now the Washington Post is planning on releasing a comprehensive biography on Trump this August titled, “Trump Reveal.”

The biography will be led by executive editor of the Post, Martin Baron, who previously led investigations into the Catholic priest sex abuse scandal during his time at the Boston Globe.

According to Baron, the book will be released regardless of whether Trump wins the Republican nomination. As Baron sees it, Trump is a “major political figure and is expected to remain one,” making it relevant one way or the other . . .

The Washington Post has had a tumultuous relationship with Trump and the two are not exactly on friendly terms. Trump has routinely complained about unfair reporting standards against him and his campaign and has threatened to change libel laws against the press if he becomes elected. Donald Trump Blasts Colorado GOP for ‘Corrupt System’ in Picking Delegates

5440394763_14a86b1695_bBy Fox News. Republican front-runner Donald Trump blasted Colorado’s GOP leadership late Monday, calling the way the state divvied up its delegates a “dirty system.”

At a campaign rally in Albany, N.Y., the real estate mogul told the crowd “there’s been so much pressure – like in Colorado, which was a total fix. There’s so much – the people all wanted to vote. They took away their votes.”

Over a series of several days, Colorado Republicans picked delegates on the congressional and statewide level for the national convention in Cleveland. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz swept the state, winning all delegates for the national convention.

“They took away their vote and they gave it to these delegates,” Trump said. “I think it’s going to come back to haunt them because people aren’t going take it anymore. We’re not going to take it anymore. It’s a corrupt system. It’s a totally corrupt, rigged system.”

In a tweet, Cruz said “65K Coloradans voted–they just voted against Trump. That’s 11 elections in a row we’ve won. #WhiningIsntWinning”. (Read more from “Donald Trump Blasts Colorado GOP for ‘Corrupt System’ in Picking Delegates” HERE)

Michael Savage to Cruz: Renounce Colorado ‘Rigged’ Election

By WND. Calling the Colorado Republican Party’s decision not to hold a primary popular vote a scandal, talk-radio host Michael Savage declared Sen. Ted Cruz should disavow the move and call for a vote.

“What just happened in Colorado should, frankly, disqualify Cruz, who claims to be a constitutional conservative,” Savage told his listeners Monday.

Savage is a strong supporter of GOP front-runner Donald Trump, who has been a regular guest on “The Savage Nation.”

Savage said Trump has been “pushed aside by the ‘Republicrat and Demican’ party, which I have told you about since 1994” . . .

“How can Mr. Cruz support a rigged election in Colorado and still claim to be a conservative?” (Read more from “Michael Savage to Cruz: Renounce Colorado ‘Rigged’ Election” HERE)

A Report Just Released Something Disturbing About Donald Trump

maxresdefault (88)Republican front-runner Donald Trump claims he’s given more than $100 million to charity over the last five years, but an analysis of more than 93 pages of charitable givings revealed that the billionaire did not actually once donate personal cash.

The analysis, which was conducted by the Washington Post, found that instead of actually donating personal cash, Trump cited free rounds of golf given away via auctions and raffles as his donations to charitable organizations.

However, the largest items cited were land-conservation agreements to forgo development rights on properties that were owned by Trump and his businesses.

In addition, the filings listed a piece of land that he gave to New York State in 2006 — years before the time period in which Trump claimed to donate in excess of $100 million — and donations from the Donald J. Trump Foundation, although the foundation never received a personal check from Trump between 2009 and 2014, according to the Post.

Trump’s foundation is largely funded by others, the Post said, but the New York mogul does decide where the money and gifts are donated. (Read more from “A Report Just Released Something Disturbing About Donald Trump” HERE)

Obama Abandoning Hillary? Claims His Biggest Mistake as President Was Something She Did

A failure to adequately plan for the aid and governing of Libya after the U.S.-led NATO attacks in 2011 “probably” was his biggest error in office, President Barack Obama said in an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”

Asked by host Chris Wallace about the “worst mistake” of his soon-to-end White House years, Obama listed the aftermath of the ouster and death of Moammar Qaddafi, even as he defended the intervention . . .

Democratic contender Hillary Clinton, as Obama’s secretary of state, strongly supported the intervention. In a 2011 interview with CBS News when still secretary, Clinton said of Qaddafi, “We came. We saw. He died.”

At a March 7 town hall meeting, Clinton said what has happened since then “is deeply regrettable. There have been forces coming from the outside, internal squabbles that have led to the instability that has given terrorist groups, including ISIS, a foothold in some parts of Libya” . . .

Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates told Yahoo News in January that he thought Clinton’s “influence was pivotal in persuading the president to broaden the goal in Libya beyond just saving the people in Benghazi” from Qaddafi’s forces and “essentially focusing more on regime change. The president told me that it was one of the closest decisions he’d ever made, sort of 51-49, and I’m not sure that he would’ve made that decision if Secretary Clinton hadn’t supported it.” (Read more from “Obama Abandoning Hillary” HERE)

Obama Just Went on Fox News and Made a Vow Republicans Will Despise

For the first time since 2014, President Obama will be interviewed by Fox News, as the exclusive guest on Chris Wallace’s Fox News Sunday.

In the only preview clip available prior to the show’s airing, Obama makes his case for a confirmation hearing and vote for Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland.

Wallace asked Obama, who is facing a Republican stall of his nominee in the Senate, “Have you made a commitment to Garland that you’re going to stick by him through the end of your term, or perhaps let’s say Hillary Clinton is the newly elected president, would you pull him and let her make the pick?”

“As more senators meet with him, I think they will recognize the qualities of this individual,” the president said.

“What I think we can’t have is a situation in which the Republican senate simply says, ‘because it’s a Democratic president, we are not going to do our job, have hearings and have a vote,’” Obama warned. “Because if that happens, Chris, it is almost impossible to expect that the Democrats, let’s say a Republican president won, that the Democrats wouldn’t say the exact same thing. ‘Let’s wait for four years and we’ll take our chances on the next president.’” (Read more from “Watch: Obama Just Went on Fox News and Made a Vow Republicans Will Despise” HERE)
