By Elizabeth Harrington. The city of Baltimore received over $1.8 billion from President Barack Obama’s stimulus law, including $467.1 million to invest in education and $26.5 million for crime prevention.
President Obama claimed last Tuesday that if the Republican-controlled Congress would implement his policies to make “massive investments in urban communities,” they could “make a difference right now” in the city, currently in upheaval following the death of Freddie Gray.
However, a Washington Free Beacon analysis found that the Obama administration and Democratically-controlled Congress did make a “massive” investment into Baltimore, appropriating $1,831,768,487 though the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), commonly known as the stimulus.
According to Recovery.gov, one of Baltimore’s central ZIP codes, 21201, received the most stimulus funding in the city, a total of $837,955,866. The amount included funding for 276 awards, and the website reports that the spending had created 290 jobs in the fourth quarter in 2013.
Of this amount, $467.1 million went to education; $206.1 million to the environment; $24 million to “family”; $16.1 million to infrastructure; $15.2 million to transportation; $11.9 million to housing; and $3.1 million to job training. Oregon Rep Cites “Economic Oppression” for Baltimore Rioters

Dr. James Dobson, who founded the highly influential groups Focus on the Family and Family Research Council and now runs Family Talk Radio, is warning that if the U.S. Supreme Court redefines marriage as analysts predict, the ruling will presage the “fall of Western civilization.”
“I do not recall a time when the institutions of marriage and the family have faced such peril, or when the forces arrayed against them were more formidable or determined,” he writes in a letter distributed to his hundreds of thousands of supporters.
“Barring a miracle, the family that has existed since antiquity will likely crumble, presaging the fall of Western civilization itself. This is a time for concerted prayer, divine wisdom and greater courage than we have ever been called upon to exercise,” he writes.
The author of staples to families around the world such as “Bringing Up Girls,” “Bringing Up Boys” and “When God Doesn’t Make Sense,” frequently has tangled with the Obama administration.

America has a Judeo/Christian ethos: 90% of Americans believe in God and 50% of them go to church or synagogue every week. But Christian members of the U.S. military are wondering long and hard about joining and/or making the U.S. Armed Forces a career. This concern by Christians about the U.S. Armed Forces and its oppression of Christians appears to be a casualty of Obama’s Social Experiment On Diversity and its apparent goal to minimize Christian influence in the U.S. military. This Social Experiment On Diversity has been changing the make-up of the US Armed Forces and is seriously eroding unit cohesiveness, unit morale, and the “Combat Effectiveness” of the U.S. military.
Chaplains are having their sermons and even the places where they are allowed to pray controlled and censored to be sure their statements are “Politically Correct” and in keeping with the what the Obama civilian appointees in DOD want them to say. Chaplains have been prevented from reading letters from their Cardinals in the pulpit to their parishioners. Chaplains have been prevented from giving bibles to patients in their hospital rooms. Catholic Chaplains who don’t believe in the use of birth control pills and abortion are prevented from preaching their religious beliefs in the pulpit. Army Ranger Chaplain Joseph Lawton was punished and served with a “Letter of Concern” for referring to solace and comfort he receives in his darkest moments by reading the Psalms of King David in the Old Testament of the bible, while he was conducting a suicide prevention seminar for Combat Veterans suffering from PTSD.
The Defense in Marriage Act, a Federal Law, has been violated and disobeyed by Obama and Holder without repealing it. Chaplains who support that Federal Law because of their religious beliefs have been discriminated against. Obama’s civilian DOD appointees have been intolerant toward Chaplains who do not believe in same-sex marriage, supposedly in the defense of tolerance, to make them comply, which is not only hypocritical, but is bigoted. So if a Chaplain’s well held religious beliefs don’t allow him to support same sex marriage, he is threatened with career ending punishment which would result in his failure to be promoted, and/or would result in his removal from the U.S. Armed Forces. That treatment of Chaplains and Christians who agree with their Chaplains beliefs have been discriminated against and oppressive by the civilian appointees of the Obama administration at DOD.
Military personnel are prevented from having bibles at their desks in their work place, and military base commanders have been instructed not to allow bibles to be placed in base hotel rooms.
Open homosexuality in the U.S. Armed Forces has been approved by Obama’s Executive Orders, in a major “CHANGE” to General George Washington’s 238 year old U.S. Military Regulations. Last year because of the “CHANGE” of General George Washington’s Military Regulations, the U.S. Armed Forces authorized the recruiting of a large influx of gay males and women to join the U.S. military for the first time in U.S. history. Last year 10,400 straight members of the US Armed Forces were sexually assaulted in their barracks and aboard their ships. The Navy has had straight female enlisted women sexually assaulted in their barracks and aboard their ships by lesbian crew members; and nearly 9, 000 female members of the US Armed Forces were sexually assaulted last year.
Gay Rights Political Events and gatherings are now being held on U.S. Military bases and in the Pentagon in violation of U.S. Military Regulations which prohibit political events of any kind. U.S. Military Color guards and military personnel in uniform are now being ordered to march in Gay Rights Parades (a political event) in violation of U.S. Military Regulations, while at the same time, members of the U.S. Armed Forces have been prevented from attending Christian events in their uniforms.

In 2014, at the Iron Mountain VA Hospital in Wisconsin, Chaplain Bob Mueller, relayed an unsettling experience he experienced in a conversation he had with one of Obama’s civilian appointee in the Veterans Administration, when he said “a couple of months ago, an order came down from Washington, D.C. to all Chaplains in VA Hospitals across the nation, ordering them to cover all icons associated with Christianity in VA Hospitals, like photos of Christ, crosses, and stained glass windows, because there are Christian symbols in stained glass.” Chaplain Mueller was told to “stop talking about Jesus, and to stop reading the scripture out loud.” He said that the Obama administration has issued the same orders “to cover all things associated with Christianity” to all VA Chapels across the country.”
The Flag and General Officer, who have always practiced and supported Judeo/Christian ethics, who opposed the hollowing out of the U.S. Armed Forces, and policies that degraded the “Combat Effectiveness” of the U.S. military by the occupant in the Oval Office, have been systematically eliminated over the last 6 years. A total of 195 Flag, General, and Senior Military Officers, who disagreed with Obama’s “Politically Correct” destructive military policies, and his executive Order that changed the U.S. Military into first major military force in the world that openly gay, a new and destructive policy that has negatively affected unit cohesiveness, the morale, and the “Combat Effectiveness” of the U.S. Armed Forces, have been purged by General Dempsey—those that remain have been conditioned not to defend Christianity. Those 195 purged Senior Officers would have opposed the on-going attack on Christians in the U.S. Armed Forces, but they are no longer there to defend the Chaplains and the enlisted Christian personnel. Senior enlisted military personnel who also practiced and supported Judeo/Christian ethics, and disagreed with an openly gay military, tried to utilized their right to complain thru the chain of command, and to express their concerns about the “Social Experiment on Diversity”, have also been purged, and in some cases have been court martialed and dishonorably discharged.
Although the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution guarantees Freedom of Religion, Christian members of the U.S. Armed Forces have had their religious rights systematically violated and oppressed, as previously discussed above and in the below listed article. The suppression of Christianity in the U.S. Armed Forces is triggering an exodus from the U.S. military of many Christians who wanted to make the U.S. military a career when they joined. After their first tour of duty, while witnessing how Chaplains and their Christian religious beliefs were oppressed, they have turned against making the U.S. Armed Forces a career. The elimination of thousands of Christian personnel from the U.S. Armed Forces with their well held religious beliefs and ethics in the ranks, and having them replaced will personnel with a different set of beliefs in keeping with Obama’s beliefs, will change the nature of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Two gunmen shot a security officer outside a “cartoon contest” depicting the prophet Muhammad near Dallas and were then shot and killed by police, authorities said late Sunday night.
Garland police spokesman Joe Harn told The Washington Post that the shooting occurred about 7 p.m. Sunday night (8 p.m. Eastern Time) outside the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, some 20 miles northeast of Dallas, when two armed men pulled up in a car in front of the event center and both started shooting at a Garland Independent School District security officer. In response, Garland police opened fire on the two gunmen, he said.
Both gunmen were killed, Harn said. Their names have not yet been released. The security officer who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The officer has been treated and released, he said.
The incident occurred outside the Curtis Culwell Center during a contest hosted by the New York-based American Freedom Defense Initiative, which promised to award $10,000 for the best cartoon depicting the prophet Muhammad, according to the Associated Press. Dutch politician Geert Wilders, an outspoken critic against radical Islam, was the keynote speaker at the event. Just before the shooting, he and Pamela Geller presented a check to contest’s winner, Bosch Fawstin, according to the Daily Caller.
The competition had been a point of contention in the community since Garland Independent School District agreed to rent out the event center to the group, which is considered an anti-Muslim “hate group” by the [extremist] Southern Poverty Law Center. In the “after glow” of the riots in Baltimore, Minnesota Democrat and Muslim Rep. Keith Ellison seized on the anarchy to spew his Communist/Socialist rhetoric. Appearing on CNN Thursday, Ellison claimed that the poor are getting poorer because the rich are getting richer. It was the typical “never let a crisis go to waste” appearance.
Ellison issued this response to the CNN anchor’s question, “How do you explain what is going on in Baltimore this week?”
“Well, of course, excessive police officers and staggering unemployment go together, because what we’ve done in the United States, as we’ve said, that the affluent part of our society is going to demand more tax breaks, more wealth, more privilege, leaving less for the less fortunate, and the way we keep the less fortunate in control is through policing and prisons. That’s the unfortunate formula we constructed.”
Ellison needs to take a long hard look at Congress when making these statements. These “affluent” jackboots have been insider trading for years, increasing their own wealth while some have skirted paying “their fair share” of income tax. Congress has tremendous “privilege” that is not afforded the average citizen – impunity for wrong-doing – and has pushed for “zero tolerance” on so many issues that elementary school children are criminalized for eating pop-tarts into the shape of a handgun, leaving a classroom unexcused, and playing pranks on teachers.
Here’s another member of Congress who has no idea about the prison system; but, thinks that only the poor, less fortunate of society are housed behind a razor wire fence. There are plenty of inmates from middle-class backgrounds that have been incarcerated, along with some that have committed white collar crimes; but, Ellison’s comments are more code for “blacks” without saying it. Ellison ignores the militarization of law enforcement agencies across the country which results in all US citizens being treated in an aggressive manner by police, as it does not go along with the lie. Americans are bracing for a summer of racial disturbances around the country, such as those that have wracked Baltimore, with African Americans and whites deeply divided about why the urban violence has occurred, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll has found.
A resounding 96% of adults surveyed said it was likely there would be additional racial disturbances this summer, a signal that Americans believe Baltimore’s recent problems aren’t a local phenomenon but instead are symptomatic of broader national problems.
When asked to explain recent events in Baltimore and other cities that have seen confrontations between police and members of the African-American community, blacks and whites viewed the situation differently.
Asked to choose between two possible explanations for recent events, 60% of blacks said they reflected “long-standing frustrations about police mistreatment of African Americans.” Some 27% of black respondents said the disturbances were caused by people who used protests over an African American man dying in police custody “as an excused to engage in looting and violence.”

A Queens ex-con was arraigned on attempted-murder charges Sunday after allegedly shooting a plainclothes NYPD cop in the head, leaving him clinging to life.
Suspect Demetrius Blackwell, who appeared in Queens Criminal Court in a torn prison jumpsuit — his legs shackled and his hands cuffed behind his back — did not enter a plea and was held without bail. His next court date is Friday.
The officer he is accused of shooting, Brian Moore, 25, took a turn for the worse early Sunday after surgery to relieve pressure on his brain, and distraught family members were rushing to his side, sources said.
Moore is the fifth NYPD officer to be shot in as many months.
A four-year department veteran from a police family, Moore was driving with his partner by the intersection of 212th Street and 104th Avenue in Queens Village at around 6:15 p.m. Saturday when the incident occurred. It’s a given that every Republican presidential candidate will run for president as a strong supporter of gun rights.
But Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is arguing that the Second Amendment includes a right to revolt against government tyranny, a point of emphasis uncommon for mainstream presidential candidates.
“The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution isn’t for just protecting hunting rights, and it’s not only to safeguard your right to target practice. It is a Constitutional right to protect your children, your family, your home, our lives, and to serve as the ultimate check against governmental tyranny — for the protection of liberty,” Cruz wrote to supporters in a fundraising email on Thursday, under the subject line “2nd Amendment against tyranny.”
This “insurrectionist” argument, as Second Amendment expert and UCLA law professor Adam Winkler calls it, is popular among passionate gun owners and members of the National Rifle Association. But major party candidates for president don’t often venture there.
“Most presidential candidates who support Second Amendment rights focus on self defense. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has weighed in on the Supreme Court’s arguments related to whether or not states can ban same-sex marriages. He made his comments in front of a crowd of Hispanic evangelicals . . .
According to Ashley Killough of CNN, Huckabee made his speech at the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, or NHCLC. He has argued that “our country’s in trouble because we lost our landmarks of faith.”
“I respect the courts, but the Supreme Court is only that — the supreme of the courts. It is not the Supreme Being. It cannot overrule God,” Huckabee said. “When it comes to prayer, when it comes to life, and when it comes to the sanctity of marriage, the court cannot change what God has created.”
Killough reported that Huckabee could announce his run on Tuesday for the 2016 presidency in Hope, Ark. He previously won the Iowa caucuses during his presidential run in 2008 thanks to support from Christian conservatives.
“Somebody’s got to be willing to take on the institutions that challenge and threaten our ability to believe as we believe, because when religious liberty is lost, all liberty is lost,” Huckabee said. Cheers erupted as City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that charges were being filed against the six officers involved in the apprehension, arrest and death of Freddie Gray. That feeling of elation reverberated through the streets of Baltimore, and especially the Penn-North neighborhood that was the scene of Monday’s riots, as residents applauded the decision to indict.
The scene of Pennsylvania and North avenues was much different than it was Monday, with crowds gathering in joy as opposed to disgust. There was jubilation at almost all four corners of the street, and at times some of the celebrants have taken over the eastbound roads of North Avenue.
People could be seen giving each other high-fives and hugging, while others simply lined the sidewalks to take in the chorus of car horns that blared repeatedly.
One Baltimore resident named Joe was overcome with his elation as he told WJZ’s Mike Schuh why he came to the intersection at North and Pennsylvania Avenue to celebrate.
“The city is phenomenal right now. Right now, it’s like Baltimore, thank you for listening, thank you for everyone constantly protesting for the betterment of the good.
