Trump Department Of Justice Ends Biden-Era Lawfare Targeting Idaho’s Pro-Life Protections

President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice is dismissing a lawsuit the Biden administration brought against Idaho in an attempt to force its abortion activism on the pro-life state, court filings reveal.

The DOJ’s decision to drop the lawfare should have opened the door for the Gem State to enforce its August 2022 Defense of Life Act. Idaho’s largest hospital system, however, filed a separate suit against the state after repeatedly claiming that it had to airlift women out of state to get emergency abortions. Despite previously failing to provide proof for that claim, St. Luke’s Health System was handed a temporary restraining order by U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill, a President Bill Clinton nominee, one day before the Trump DOJ acted.

The Ronald Reagan administration enacted the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) in 1986 to stop hospitals from turning away patients based on their inability to pay for their expenses. The law requires adequate treatment for an “unborn child” but also explicitly does “not preempt any State or local law requirement, except to the extent that the requirement directly conflicts with” EMTALA.

President Joe Biden’s regime, however, expanded EMTALA in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson ruling to include abortion as a “stabilizing” procedure in certain cases “irrespective of any state laws or mandates that apply to specific procedures.” The Democrat administration then used its redefinition to target Idaho over its lifesaving law, which prohibits abortion except in cases of rape or incest, or if a physician deems it necessary to save the mother’s life.

The U.S. Supreme Court had a chance in June of last year to shut down the Biden administration’s abortion activism. Even though U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar struggled during arguments to explain why a federal law that promotes preserving the health of a mother and her “unborn child” in medical emergencies should require Idaho hospitals to perform abortions outside of the exceptions outlined in its state law, the high bench instead ruled 6-3 to toss the case back to the leftist San Francisco-based Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. President Donald Trump Concludes Remarks After Declaring ‘America’s Momentum Is Back’

“To my fellow citizens, America is back,” Trump declared after thanking the members of Congress and first lady Melania Trump.

“Six weeks ago, I stood beneath the dome of this Capitol and proclaimed the dawn of the golden Age of America,” he said. “From that moment on, it has been nothing but swift and unrelenting action to usher in the greatest and most successful era in the history of our country. We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplished in four years or eight years. And we are just getting started.”

Trump Promises ‘This Will Be Our Greatest Era’ in Joint Address to Congress

President Donald Trump vowed in his Tuesday speech to Congress and the U.S. that his administration would work to take “America’s destiny into our own hands” and promised that “this will be our greatest era” where he would fight to forge the most free civilization.Trump’s remarks came as he delivered an address to a joint session of Congress Tuesday in a speech similar to the annual State of the Union, where he declared that “America is back” and that the “American dream is surging.”

Trump unveiled in his speech that Ukraine is prepared to sign off on a rare-earth minerals deal and continue peace negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, and that his administration has caught the terrorist behind an attack in Afghanistan that resulted in the death of 13 U.S. troops.

He also promised he would drive down inflation costs and would “wage a war” on drug cartels as he bragged about his administration’s accomplishments in driving down illegal immigration crossings. . .

“Among my very highest priorities is to rescue our economy and get dramatic and immediate relief to working families,” Trump said. “As president, I am fighting every day to reverse this damage and make America affordable again.”

Zelensky Calls Oval Office Meeting ‘Regrettable,’ Says He Is Ready to Negotiate, Thanks Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday he was ready to come to the negotiating table to begin peace talks and expressed regret over last week’s meeting at the White House where he sparred with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance and blew a minerals deal with the U.S.

Zelensky wrote on X:

I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace.

None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.

The tone was very different than the last 10 minutes of the meeting in the Oval Office with Trump, Vance, and other members of the cabinet who have worked to get Russia and Ukraine into peace talks, beginning with a U.S.-Ukraine mineral deal.

The meeting began amicably and went on for about 40 minutes without issue, until a Polish reporter asked Trump about being “close” to Putin. Trump initially responded, and Vance jumped in with a response, and then Zelensky challenged Vance. Ukraine Selling T-Shirts With Zelensky Quote From Trump-Vance Meeting

By The Hill. The Ukrainian government has launched a T-shirt fundraising effort seeking to capitalize on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s now-infamous Oval Office meeting Friday with President Trump and Vice President Vance.

The meeting, which unraveled to such an extent that a joint press conference between the two sides scheduled for afterward was canceled, included multiple moments that went viral, such as when Zelensky was criticized for not wearing a suit. He has dressed in more military-themed garb since Russia invaded his country three years ago.

United24, a Ukrainian state-sponsored platform that raises funds amid the ongoing war, is raffling off 100 T-shirts with Zelensky’s response: “I’ll wear a costume when the war is over.”

In Ukrainian, the word “costume” is used as a translated term for suit.

Trump Has ‘Sidelined’ Secretary of State Marco Rubio

President Donald Trump “has effectively sidelined” Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is often out of the loop when major foreign policy decisions are made, according to Vanity Fair.

The outlet published a report by Gabriel Sherman on Tuesday, stating that Rubio is privately “frustrated” that as the nation’s top diplomat, he is often not consulted on foreign affairs. Just last Friday, Rubio was in the Oval Office during a tense exchange between Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump and Vance berated Zelensky, whom the vice president called “disrespectful.” Rubio appeared visibly uncomfortable during the conversation, but later that day went on CNN and praised Trump.

Vanity Fair reported:

While Rubio was quick to get in line in the days after the Zelenskyy showdown, the historic confrontation did indeed reveal a fault line inside the administration: Rubio is privately frustrated that Trump has effectively sidelined him. According to four prominent Republicans close to the White House, Rubio, who has been a Russia hawk and Ukraine supporter, has told people he is upset by his lack of foreign policy influence despite being, on paper at least, the administration’s top diplomat. One of the sources said they felt as though Rubio is often the last to know when foreign policy decisions are made in the White House.

Democrat Escorted Out of Trump’s Congressional Address After Unhinged Behavior

On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump gave his address before a joint session of Congress, the fifth time he’s ever given such a speech. It was by far the rowdiest, though, and before the event even started. Once Trump had started speaking, though, it wasn’t long before the booing and interruptions started from Democratic members. Early on, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) even had to be escorted out, at Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) direction.

Throughout Trump’s remarks, at least the portion he was present for, Green stood up, waving his cane in the air.

At one particularly hysterical moment, as the president was speaking about his “comeback” win last November, the outbursts got so out of control that Johnson had to take to the mic to remind members to conduct themselves appropriately. He made it was clear he was issuing a warning to these members. When they still did not cease their outbursts, Green especially, whom Johnson addressed by name, the speaker directed the Sergeant at Arms to get involved.

Trump was then able to continue on with his remarks, as he continued to remind how much of a special “comeback” win he had achieved, while going on to speak about the ills caused by his predecessor, President Joe Biden. He also called out Democratic members of Congress for their refusal to applaud anything he had to say throughout these speeches, no matter what he said.

The Dems’ Reaction to Trump’s Speech Was as Expected, but What the Hell Was This?

The Democrats’ reaction to President Trump’s first address to Congress since the 2024 election wasn’t out of the ordinary for these surly, puerile mental invalids. Yet, when you can’t cheer for law enforcement, that’s a problem. It’s baffling when you can’t cheer for someone accepting to West Point. But when you refuse to clap or stand for a 13-year-old with cancer who wants to be a police officer, it’s deplorable.

What the hell is your problem? In the words of the late Gunnery Seargent Hartman, “What is your major malfunction, numbnuts? Didn’t mommy and daddy show you enough attention when you were a child?”

Wyoming’s GOP Governor Backing the Trans Agenda on Yet Another Piece of Legislation

By The Federalist. The Wyoming legislature enacted a law protecting government employees from the state forcing them to use “preferred pronouns.” But Republican Gov. Mark Gordon refused to sign, allowing the bill to become law by default.

The law — SF 077, or “Compelled Speech Is Not Free Speech” — bans “the state and its political subdivisions from requiring the use of preferred pronouns.” It keeps the state from requiring preferred pronouns for “employment or contracting,” for “receiving a grant, loan, permit, contract, license or other benefit,” or “under threat of adverse action … including but not limited to an adverse employment action, exclusion, sanction or punishment.”

The bill passed with vast majorities earlier this month in the state House (54-7, with one excused) and Senate (27-3, with one excused). It is set to take effect on July 1.

Republican state House Speaker Chip Neiman and state Senate President Bo Biteman signed the enrolled act on Feb. 24. According to the state legislature website, “If any bill sent to the governor is not signed by him and is not returned within three days … it becomes law without his signature. …” Gordon wrote Biteman on Feb. 27 saying he would allow the bill to become law without signing it.

Gordon’s communications director, Michael Pearlman, shared the letter with The Federalist. In it, Gordon called the legislation “a solution in search of a problem.” He conceded that “Wyoming governments should not condition” employment or other engagements on “requirements to strictly engage in certain kinds of speech” and said that the state should not “retaliate against employees if they don’t conform to strict free speech restrictions.” (Read more from “Wyoming’s GOP Governor Backing the Trans Agenda on Yet Another Piece of Legislation” HERE)

FLASHBACK: Wyoming GOP Gov. Removes Doctor From State Board For Opposing Transing Children

By The Federalist. Wyoming radiologist Eric Cubin petitioned the federal court in Cheyenne last week to reinstate him to Wyoming’s Board of Medicine.

Cubin was appointed to the board, which oversees the licensing and regulations of the medical profession, by Republican Gov. Mark Gordon in 2023 and reappointed to another four-year term last March. Only weeks after his reappointment, the governor’s chief of staff notified him by telephone that the governor had removed him from the board. After hanging up, he received a letter from the governor, via email, that confirmed his removal and stated its cause.

Gordon wrote, “I have been made aware of your email to the members of the House of Representatives during this last legislative session regarding SF0099 in which you strongly encouraged the members to pass this legislation and criticized the Wyoming Medical Society’s opposition to this bill.”

SF0099 was originally named Chloe’s Law after Chloe Cole, a woman who was given hormone blockers and testosterone at the age of 13 and underwent a mastectomy at 15. The bill prohibits physicians and health care providers in Wyoming from performing surgeries and prescribing drugs to minor children “for the purposes of transitioning a child’s biological sex.”

While overwhelmingly supported by the public and passed by the legislature, Chloe’s Law was vehemently opposed by the Wyoming Medical Society (WMS), a lobbying group that carries a lot of clout in Cheyenne. Dems Scripted Their Response To Trump’s Speech Before Hearing It And They Don’t Care If You Know

Ahead of President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night address to Congress, Democrats have been whispering to their media allies that their messaging strategy surrounding Trump’s speech matters because “tonight marks the first moment since the election that much of America will actually pay any attention to the Democrats.”

The Democrats have landed on their messaging strategy, and it is, in their own words …

Tuesday morning, two dozen Senate Democrats posted their honest, genuine, heartfelt thoughts about Trump’s first 43 days. Those straight-from-the-heart perspectives just happened to all follow the same, word-for-word script, which Sen. Cory Booker took credit for writing.

Booker, along with Senators Angela Alsobrooks, Tammy Baldwin, Richard Blumenthal, Chris Coons, Tammy Duckworth, Dick Durbin, Kirsten Gillibrand, Mazie Hirono, Tim Kaine, Mark Kelly, Andy Kim, Ben Ray Lujan, Ed Markey, Jeff Merkley, Alex Padilla, Gary Peters, Brian Schatz, Chuck Schumer, Chris Van Hollen, Mark Warner, Elizabeth Warren, Peter Welch, and Sheldon Whitehouse each recorded a video rattling off the same lines about how Trump is evil for cutting government bloat and not undoing Bidenflation yet.

Democrats cared nothing about the prices of Americans’ groceries, gas, and housing for four years under Biden. As for government spending cuts, a Harvard-Harris poll just last month found Americans “overwhelmingly support cutting down government expenditures,” so that’s a weird choice of martyr to patronize. Rutgers University Spent $10 Million On DEI Staff In One Year

Academic advocacy for far-left ideologies like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and mass illegal immigration are not just for the ivory tower of Ivy League schools. State schools across the country are spending millions to advance DEI, raking in even more from foreign governments, and using their federal grants to fund social experiments.

According to a report from Open The Books, Rutgers University, for example, had 136 DEI-related employees as of 2023, with the total salary expenditure of $10 million. It has also taken in $285.5 million from foreign governments (including China and Saudi Arabia) since 2013 and received $3 billion in federal contracts and grants since 2020, much of which was spent on far-left priorities.

Rutgers is one of 11 schools with similar funding stories included in the report, designed to highlight left-wing institutional capture of higher education at every level of prestige and in every region of the country.

“What we’re finding with this new reporting is just how far the DEI worldview has penetrated our academic institutions. These are not Harvard or Princeton, where people have come to expect far-Left ideas,” John Hart, CEO of OpenTheBooks, told The Federalist. “The identity politics agenda is totally out of step with mainstream, state-run schools, yet they’re spending lavishly on this philosophy. It shows just how brazen and strident DEI backers had become in recent years.”

Trump Pauses All U.S. Military Aid to Ukraine After Heated Oval Office Meeting With Zelensky

By New York Post. President Trump ordered a pause on all US military aid to Ukraine Monday, days after he kicked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky out of the White House following a heated Oval Office meeting between the leaders.

The pause will remain in effect until Ukrainian officials demonstrate a good-faith commitment to peace negotiations, a White House official told The Post.

“The President has been clear that he is focused on peace,” the official said. “We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well.”

“We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution.”

The official noted that the temporary pause is a direct response to Zelensky’s conduct over the last week. . .

Trump condemns Zelensky remarks that war’s end is ‘far away’

By WND. A statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky saying a deal to end the war with Russia was “very far away” has drawn a furious response by Donald Trump.

“America will not put up with it for much longer,” the US president said in a social media post, before accusing Zelensky of not wanting peace.

A summit of mostly European leaders in London on Sunday agreed a four-point plan to guarantee Ukraine’s defence in the event of a peace deal with Russia.

“Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?” Trump said, apparently referring to the summit held two days after his fiery clash with Zelensky at the Oval Office.
