President Obama continues to take bold steps of action that reveal his true feelings toward Israel, and so far, they aren’t positive.
Obama started straining U.S. relations with Israel when he asked them to use “restraint” when dealing with terrorists who were constantly bombing their country and killing their children, which is a ludicrous thing to suggest, as no nation in the world would follow that advice.
The president continued to make things worse by warning the Israeli military not to invade Gaza with ground operations, and then slamming them when they did, placing the blame for Palestinian casualties on their shoulders, rather than on Hamas.
Cruz: “Obama Admin The Most Anti-Israel Admin This Government Has Ever Had”
By Real Clear Politics.
SEN. TED CRUZ (R-TX): Israel is defending herself against vicious terrorists who are trying to murder innocent civilians. As Prime Minister Netanyahu put it very effectively a couple weeks ago, in Israel they use missile defense to protect their civilians. Hamas is using their civilians to protect their missiles, which is a war crime. And you ask why aren’t we doing this? Sean, the reason is sad, it’s tragic, but the Obama administration is the most anti-Israel administration this government has ever had.

Hundreds of people in North Texas and across the U.S. are holding a National Day of Protest. They’re rallying against illegal immigration, amnesty and the border surge.
There are 34 demonstrations planned in Texas alone, including every major metropolitan city from El Paso to Houston.
The “Make them Listen” movement is taking shape nationwide with protests in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Here at home, dozens of protesters will crowd outside Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkin’s office hoping he’ll listen.
They’re gathering at 11 a.m. and will put pressure on Jenkins to reconsider bringing 2,000 border kids here to Dallas. Jenkins has been pushing to shelter the kids here for months now.
Congressman Just Confirmed the Border Patrol is Being Shot At
By Conservative Tribune.
The chaos at America’s southern border grows worse almost daily. As thousands of unaccompanied minors and pregnant women enter the country illegally and turn themselves in, confident that they will be allowed to stay under Obama administration policy, Customs and Border Protection resources have been stretched to the breaking point.
The strain on resources required to process the influx of illegal immigrants have left the border more porous than it ever was, threatening long-term chaos and perhaps even America’s very existence.
Although violence at the border has been reported before, new reports of high-caliber weapons fire aimed at Border Patrol agents indicate that the situation has become truly dire. Congressman Louis Gohmert, in the Rincon Peninsula area of Texas to get a better understanding of the situation the ground, says Border Patrol agents are not equipped to deal with the weapons that were fired across the Rio Grande in their direction.
“When the shooting stopped, about 40 to 50 people came out on the U.S. side and turned themselves in. So clearly the rounds were being fired to suppress every effort to stop anybody intervening with anyone or anything coming across,” Gohmert added. “We have no idea what or how many or whom came across with the other illegal immigrants.”
Migrant crisis expands north from border, into arid Texas wilderness
By Molly Hennessy-Fiske.
Daniel Zamarripa loaded his police dog into the back of his patrol car and set out to track his quarry — immigrants circumventing the local Border Patrol checkpoint.
Zamarripa, 27, is one of 15 reserve deputies brought in to assist the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office, whose four deputies have lately found themselves overwhelmed by 911 calls from migrants stranded on the vast ranches that stretch from here to the horizon in all directions.
Then there are the bodies of migrants who didn’t make it to retrieve and identify: 42 so far this year.
Most attention to the crisis on the Southwest border has focused in recent weeks on the Rio Grande Valley, where many of the 57,000 unaccompanied children and a large number of families have crossed from Mexico since October, twice last year’s total. Many surrender to immigration agents willingly at the Rio Grande, aware that they will be allowed to stay pending immigration court hearings.

Just months after an Environmental Protection Agency staffer was caught looking at pornography for hours at a time on his company computer, another glaring example of wasted time has surfaced in the federal department.
As evidenced by a subsequently deleted Twitter post by an official EPA account, at least some employees are more interested in playing social media games – specifically one endorsed by ubiquitous reality star Kim Kardashian – than in regulating the lives of American citizens.
For opponents of the agency’s intrusive policies, such frivolous misuse of time might be more favorable than the pursuit of even more EPA restrictions.

Asked by Capitol City Project’s Joe Schoffstall on Friday whether or not she had a stated position on Israel’s recent foray into Gaza, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) couldn’t be reached for comment. Instead, she did exactly what she did two years ago at Netroots Nation when facing tough questions from reporters: she ran away.
Senator Ted Cruz spoke to over 3,500 people in Denver this weekend and proposed a two-birds-with-one-stone solution to tax reform and border security.
“The simplest road to tax reform is to abolish the IRS and move to simple flat tax (sic),” said Cruz.
As for what to do with 110,000 out of work IRS agents, Cruz said “we can always put them on our southern border. Seeing so many IRS agents would scare off anyone who wanted to come to America,” he told the crowd.
Ted Cruz’s father sparks revival spirit during tea party rally
By Brian Wilson.
The father of conservative firebrand U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz roused a crowd of tea party supporters with stories of his journey to the United States and his call for constitutional conservatism.
Rafael Cruz, pastor of Purifying Fire Ministries in suburban Dallas, received multiple standing ovations throughout his speech, delivered at a We the People rally organized by the Nashville Tea Party at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel on Saturday afternoon.
The Cuban native spent much of his lecture analyzing the merits of Declaration of Independence and accusing the federal government of straying from it. He also said how his beliefs are inspired by the same wellsprings as his son, the Texas senator who has enthused some conservatives enough to call on him to run for president.
“That passion has been like fire in him, and let me tell you, that fire has been as alive 32 years ago as it is today,” Cruz said. “That’s why I know he’s not going to compromise in Washington.”

Barack Obama recently hit a roadblock in his ongoing campaign to attend fundraisers across the nation. Upon announcing his intention to hobnob with supporters in Medina, Wash. earlier this week, city leaders explained that they will not force local taxpayers to pay for the associated expenses of his visit.
“We love welcoming people to what we think is one of the most attractive communities in Puget Sound,” said City Manager Mike Sauerwein.
While visitors might be welcome, however, he insisted that it should be at their own expense.
“We just don’t feel that we should be passing the cost of the events to our citizens,” he said.
Saurwien explained that, with previous presidential visits, taxpayers have had to pony up tens of thousands of dollars to pay for added police coverage and other incidental expenses. He urged the city council to pass that expense on to Obama’s host, former Costco CEO Jim Sinegal, for this event.

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world
—W.B. Yeats, “The Second Coming”
Wherever we look today—from the Fertile Crescent in the Middle East to the post-Cold War frontier in Ukraine to the South China Sea to our border with Mexico— our world appears to be falling apart.
This naturally raises a serious question in the minds of many people: If America, the indispensable nation, had been doing its job of holding the global system together, couldn’t this chaos and anarchy have been avoided?
The simple answer is, yes.
But if you listen to Hillary Clinton, the unraveling of the international order was inevitable under the leadership—or lack of leadership—of Barack Obama. As I reported in my book “Blood Feud,” Hillary places the blame for the sorry state of the world squarely on the man in the Oval Office.
On Thursday the IRS released a slew of draft 2014 tax forms. The new draft Form 1040 shows a new surtax line has been created for the payment of the individual mandate surtax – see line 61 of the 1040:
President Obama has repeatedly denied that the surtax is in fact actually a tax. The most prominent example was a heated exchange on ABC’s This Week in Sept. 2009, when George Stephanopoulos confronted Obama with a dictionary:
STEPHANOPOULOS: I — I don’t think I’m making it up. Merriam Webster’s Dictionary: Tax — “a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes.”
OBAMA: George, the fact that you looked up Merriam’s Dictionary, the definition of tax increase, indicates to me that you’re stretching a little bit right now. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have gone to the dictionary to check on the definition. I mean what…

President Obama will go ahead with a “very significant” executive action on immigration after the summer – a move that may well trigger impeachment proceedings against him, senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer told reporters at a Monitor breakfast Friday.
“The president acting on immigration reform will certainly up the likelihood that [Republicans] would contemplate impeachment at some point,” said Mr. Pfeiffer, who has been at the Obama White House since its inception.
A lot of people in Washington laughed off Sarah Palin’s call to impeach the president for executive overreach, Pfeiffer said, but “I would not discount that possibility.” Polling shows strong support for the idea among the GOP base, he said, adding that House Speaker John Boehner (R) of Ohio has opened the door to the possibility with his lawsuit against Obama.
Speaker Boehner has flatly denied an interest in impeachment, saying, “I disagree” with those who support it. Next week, the GOP-controlled House is expected to pass a resolution to sue the president for executive overreach on the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare.”
“This is a fundraising exercise for Democrats,” said Boehner spokesman Michael Steel in an e-mail response to Pfeiffer’s impeachment comments. “It is telling, and sad, that a senior White House official is focused on political games, rather than helping these kids and securing the border.”

First, a fact. Obamacare’s legislative text reads that tax subsidies administered by the IRS to help Americans pay for health insurance they are federally mandated to purchase reads that those tax subsidies will only apply to people who purchase coverage from insurance exchanges “established by the State.” An exchange “established by the State” refers to state-run health insurance exchanges, established in ACA section 1311, as opposed to federally-run exchanges, established in ACA section 1321. The legislative language is pretty clear.
What ACA proponents want to say is that this just amounts to a “drafting error.” Congress, of course, intended for the subsidies to apply to the exchanges run by the federal government; they just made a mistake.
It seems odd that we’d be able to divine the “intent” of the general will of 535 people, but some have now fallen back to asking if there was even a single legislator who thought that tax subsidies wouldn’t apply to federal exchanges.
This is a good question, because it’s unlikely that any legislator thought that would have been a good idea. But this gets to the heart of the problem with ACA: many legislators didn’t know what they were crafting and voting on.
In the era of ACA’s crafting, Republicans repeatedly brought up the point that legislators couldn’t read the bill, because the legislative text hadn’t been written. The Senate Finance Committee voted on what’s called “conceptual langauge,” but did anticipate that some states would not set up their own exchanges. Democrats also insisted that the “conceptual language” was enough to actually understand and vote on the law.
