Feds Reveal Sinister Reason Why Bourbon Street Terror Suspect Tried to Torch Airbnb

The driver behind the deadly terrorist New Years’ attack in New Orleans set fire to his rental property in an effort to destroy bomb-making evidence prior to the attack, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) said.

In a joint statement on Friday, the agencies revealed that they believe 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar set a small fire in the hallway of his rented Airbnb before the attack, and “strategically placed accelerants throughout the house in his effort to destroy it and other evidence of his crime.” But they said the fire burned itself out before spreading to other rooms.

The smoldering of the fire allowed the FBI to recover evidence from the rented Airbnb, including “pre-cursors for bomb-making material and a privately made device suspected of being a silencer for a rifle,” the agencies said.

The FBI and the ATF also revealed new information on Jabbar’s movements prior to driving a high-speed vehicle down the popular Bourbon Street in the early hours of New Year’s Day. (Read more from “Feds Reveal Sinister Reason Why Bourbon Street Terror Suspect Tried to Torch Airbnb” HERE)

Vice President Kamala Harris Appears to Flub Pledge of Allegiance in Latest Gaffe

Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to botch the Pledge of Allegiance as the Senate was sworn in for the 119th Congress.

“I pledge allegiance to the United States of America,” the vice president said as she led the Senate in the pledge Friday, omitting the words “the flag of.”

The full pledge, which many children have memorized in grade school, goes as follows: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

In a video clip of the major blunder, senators could be heard reciting the pledge correctly and Harris, 60, seemed to doubleback, repeating the words, “United States of America” after hearing members of the upper chamber correctly say, “to the flag of” as she flubbed the line.

Some social media users appeared shocked by the slip-up.

Law Professor Nails Why Judge Merchan Is Sentencing Trump on January 10

President-elect Donald J. Trump will be sentenced on January 10, but there will be no jail time, not that was ever a concern. The laws and statutes got so contorted that even CNN’s Elie Honig, the network’s chief legal analyst and former assistant US attorney, couldn’t defend it, aptly calling it a total disaster of a case. In essence, Trump only got convicted because Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his team perverted the rule of law.

Law professor Jonathan Turley nailed why Judge Juan Merchan wants to get this wrapped on January 10. It’s to give the liberal media the talking point they’ve salivated over for months: Trump is a convicted felon, and now he’s being sworn in as one on Inauguration Day:

Former Hospital Worker Arrested After Several NICU Babies Suffer ‘Unexplainable Fractures’

Police have arrested a 26-year-old woman after several babies at a Virginia hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) suffered “unexplainable fractures.”

Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, of Chesterfield County, is facing charges of malicious wounding and felony child abuse “in connection to an incident that occurred in November 2024,” Henrico County Police said in a Friday news release, obtained by People.

On Christmas Eve, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital announced it would not be “admitting any additional babies into our NICU at this time” after three babies were found with fractures in November and December 2023. The injuries were “similar to an incident involving four babies in the summer of 2023,” the hospital release said.

HCA Virginia confirmed to People that Strotman is a former employee of the hospital.

“We are both shocked and saddened by this development in the investigation and are focused on continuing to care for our patients and providing support to our colleagues who have been deeply and personally impacted by this investigation,” the statement read. Judge Rules Trump Be Sentenced on Jan. 10

Justice Juan Merchan ruled that President-elect Donald Trump will be sentenced on January 10 regarding his business records trial.

In a court order on Friday, Merchan wrote that the Court had found “no legal impediment to sentencing” and added that the Court recognized “that Presidential immunity will likely attach” once Trump is sworn into office. Merchan added that it was “incumbent upon” the Court “to set this matter down for the imposition of sentence” prior to Trump’s inauguration.

“Finding no legal impediment to sentencing and recognizing that Presidential immunity will likely attach once Defendant takes his Oath of Office, it is incumbent upon this Court to set this matter down for the imposition of sentence prior to January 20, 2025,” Merchan wrote in a court order. “It is this Court’s firm belief that only by bringing finality to this matter will all three interests be served.”

Merchan’s ruling comes months after a New York jury found Trump guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first-degree concerning payments made to adult porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election. Republicans Make Decision Over Mike Johnson As Speaker After Late Flip By Holdouts

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson was reelected Friday afternoon by House Republicans in a tight vote after receiving enough votes to secure the gavel.

Johnson won the vote to be the speaker of the 119th Congress on the first ballot.

During the vote on the first ballot, there were six members who originally decided not to vote and were silent when their names were first called. There were also three other members who voted for a different Republican to be speaker, making him two votes shy of the necessary 218 votes.

Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar of Arizona, Michael Cloud of Texas, Andrew Clyde of Georgia, Andy Harris of Maryland and Chip Roy of Texas were all silent when first called on during the first ballot. After being called again, Roy said he would be voting for Johnson. Gosar also then voted for Johnson.

Before the vote, Johnson told reporters, “I think so,” when asked if he believes he would have enough votes on the first ballot.

Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie voted for Majority Whip Tom Emmer to be the next speaker and South Carolina Rep. Ralph Norman originally voted for Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan. Texas Rep. Keith Self placed his vote for Florida Rep. Byron Donalds.

Police Release Manifesto From Suspect Who Blew Up Cybertruck

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) released a letter from the man who blew himself up in a Tesla Cybertruck this week that they located on one of two cellphones they recovered from inside the vehicle.

The letter was located on an app on the cellphone belonging to Master Sgt. Matthew Livelsberger, the U.S. Army Green Beret who they identified as the person who shot himself inside the vehicle moments before the explosives he placed in it detonated.

FBI Special Agent Spencer Evans said that the incident was “a tragic case of suicide involving a heavily decorated combat veteran who is struggling with PTSD and other issues.”

In the letter, Livelsberger said that the U.S. was “the best country” to ever exist, but that in its current state, it was “terminally ill and headed toward collapse.”

He talked about the decline in traditional values in the letter and warned that political elites view the masses as “cattle.” (Read more from “Police Release Manifesto From Suspect Who Blew Up Cybertruck” HERE)

FBI Does Another 180, Claims New Orleans Attacker Worked Alone Day After Conducting Manhunt For Accomplices

By Daily Caller. The FBI said Thursday the suspect in New Orleans’ terrorist attack on New Year’s Day acted alone despite previous reports of potential accomplices.

Officials identified Shamsud-Din Jabbar as the driver of a Ford pickup truck that plowed through a Bourbon Street crowd early Wednesday morning. Police killed Jabbar, who reportedly possessed an ISIS flag in the vehicle, in a shootout shortly thereafter.

“We do not asses, at this point, that anyone else is involved in this attack except for Shamsud-Din Jabbar,” FBI Counterterrorism Division Deputy Assistant Director Christopher Raia said in a press conference.

The FBI reviewed surveillance footage showing Jabbar, a Texas-born U.S. citizen, placing improvised explosive devices (IED), two of which FBI bomb technicians recovered from coolers on streets surrounding the area attacked. Following their review, authorities concluded that no one else was involved in Jabbar’s attack.

“We’re confident at this point that there are no other accomplices,” Raia reiterated later in the press conference. (Read more from “FBI Does Another 180, Claims New Orleans Attacker Worked Alone Day After Conducting Manhunt For Accomplices” HERE)

New Orleans Terrorist Wanted to Kill His Family, but Backed Off for Agenda-Driven Reason

By WND. The New Orleans terrorist, Shamsud Din Jabbar, being blamed now for the deaths of 15 and injuries to dozens after he drove a truck through the crowded streets of New Orleans early New Year’s Day, had wanted to harm his family too.

But he backed off because he was concerned that the horror over that news would overshadow what he called the “war between believers & disbelievers.”

Evidence is showing that the onetime soldier was radicalized into Islam, and was taking the Quran’s instructions to destroy those who don’t follow Islam’s ideologies literally.

“The Rosary In A Year” podcast has hit number one on Apple’ Podcasts charts after releasing its first episode Wednesday.

The podcast released its first official episode on New Year’s Day and reached the top of the chart the same day, where it remains as of Thursday afternoon. It even surpassed the “Joe Rogan Experience,” which has consistently topped the charts since 2022.

The podcast already reached number one in the Religion & Spirituality section of Apple Podcasts after the series was announced in October with “Bible In A Year” podcast host Fr. Mike Schmitz. The occasion marks the third podcast from the Catholic media company Ascension to top Apple’s charts, with the “Bible In A Year” podcast reaching number seven on the chart and number three on the Religion & Spirituality chart, alongside the “Catechism in a Year” podcast at number four in the religion section as of Thursday afternoon.

“The world offers so much, but we want God,” podcast host and Catholic priest Fr. Mark-Mary Ames said in a statement. “In 1979, when the newly-elected Pope John Paul II was returning to communist-controlled Poland for the first time as the Holy Father, in response to his words, the crowd of over 1 million people cried out, ‘We want God! We want God! We want God.’ I can’t help but see this cry being echoed by the millions of people who have participated in Bible in a Year, Catechism in a Year, and now Rosary in a Year.” (Read more from “‘We Want God:’ Catholic Podcast Blows Up On First Day, Tops Charts On Major Platform” HERE)
