NEW YORK — A book released this week documents for the first time the radical origins of President Obama’s healthcare law, revealing the principal author of the foundation for the legislation while tracing the law itself to a group funded by George Soros.

“Red Army: The radical network that must be defeated to save America” also finds the founders of the controversial Apollo Alliance, run by a slew of radicals, helped craft the marketing campaign behind the healthcare initiative.

The new book, by authors Aaron Klein and Brfenda J. Elliott, purports to expose the radical socialist network that seized political power in Washington over decades, shaped Obama’s presidential agenda and threatens the very future of the U.S.

On Obamacare, “Red Army” documents how the legislation, deliberately masked by moderate, populist rhetoric, was carefully crafted and perfected over the course of decades and is a direct product of laborious work by a coalition of radical groups and activists, many with socialist designs.

Those activists seek to “reform” the U.S. healthcare industry, which accounts for a significant portion of the U.S. capitalist enterprise.

A Republican leader in the House is accusing the Obama administration of violating a federal law designed to protect America’s most sensitive technological secrets from the Red Chinese. The most extreme of Obama’s czars, Science Czar John P. Holdren, so flagrantly violated the law that a one-sided Justice Department legal memorandum drawn up to exonerate him said it could defend “most, if not all” of his actions.

According to Virginia Republican Congressman Frank Wolf, the offense took place when Holdren attended the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) on May 9-10. Holdren, who heads the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), took nine OSTP employees to the meeting, where they admit they met with representatives of the People’s Republic of China. This violates section 1340 of the Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act of 2011, a funding bill Congress passed earlier this year to avoid a federal shutdown.

Wolf is the chairman of the House Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies and an outspoken advocate for human rights in China. He authored the provision, which prohibits OSTP or NASA from collaborating with the PRC, because he rightly believes China’s burgeoning space program benefits the long-range plans of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). The relevant section of the law states:

None of the funds made available by this division may be used for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or the Office of Science and Technology Policy to develop, design, plan, promulgate, implement, or execute a bilateral policy, program, order, or contract of any kind to participate, collaborate, or coordinate bilaterally in any way with China or any Chinese-owned company unless such activities are specifically authorized by a law enacted after the date of enactment of this division.

Despite the clear statutory language, nine OSTP employees participated in the S&ED with their Chinese counterparts, costing the agency $3,500. Wolf said their participation constitutes “blatant disregard for the law.”

A howling Wolf requested the Government Accountability Office (GAO) offer its legal opinion on the matter. On October 11, the GAO ruled, “we conclude that OSTP’s use of appropriations to fund its participation in the Innovation Dialogue and the S&ED violated the prohibition in section 1340.” In fact, the GAO found OSTP violated two laws; by spending funds that were not available to it, the agency also broke the Anti-Deficiency Act.

While the New York Times was hypersensitive to any signs of racial prejudice among the massive, peaceful Tea Party protests, reporter Joseph Berger raised and dismissed the idea of anti-Semitism at Occupy Wall Street, in Saturday’s “Cries of Anti-Semitism, But Not at Zuccotti Park.”

Just two of many references: Reporter David Herszenhorn assumed racism was a force in the movement in an April 1, 2010 podcast: “One is clearly there’s a racial component. Some members of Congress you know, had epithets hurled at them as protesters marched around the Capitol on the day of the big House vote.” Those claims have never been substantiated. On July 18, 2010 Matt Bai reported about fictional “hateful 25-year-olds” at Tea Party rallies.

By contrast, reporter Berger played strong defense for OWS against the anti-Semitism allegations.

Among the hodgepodge of signs that have sprouted in Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan, one man in jeans and a baseball cap has been carrying placards that shout their suggestions: “Google: Jewish Billionaires” and “Google: Zionists control Wall St.”

At the same time, among the sea of tarps under which protesters have been sleeping, a sukkah, a makeshift hut, was erected to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

While Berger’s story was accompanied by three positive photos of Jews at OWS, it didn’t have room for the widely available shot of the “Google Jewish Billionaires” sign (above).

The Occupy Wall Street protests, now in their second month, have increasingly been criticized by a variety of groups, most of them politically conservative, for flashes of anti-Semitism. Among those calling attention to the issue have been the Republican National Committee, Rush Limbaugh and the columnist William Kristol.

As with all of Obama’s major voting blocks, Hispanics have begun to drift away from The One. They have come to recognize that they were mistaken to think Obama’s Marxist economics would help them prosper and reach equality in our society.

Nevertheless, as a good little socialist, nothing stops Barack Obama from lying to anyone, so Hispanics have achieved at least this much: they are being lied to just as everyone else is being lied to by Obama.

Lies in the ICE Report

When fiscal year 2011 ended last month, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton told the world his agency had “deported more than 396,000 illegal immigrants nationwide.” This, we are told, is far more than George Bush deported in 2008. Claiming the increase was the result of “smart and effective” enforcement at a press conference, Morton skipped the news that his own people have given him a “no confidence” vote, because they know his numbers are erroneous.

To appear to be doing more than he is, Morton counted voluntary surrenders made by now-stranded and desperate Mexican illegal aliens. They can’t find work, and don’t want to enter into a life of crime to stay here, so they turn themselves in to get a free ride home.

The truth is that Obama has sharply curtailed the ICE workplace raids, which have been so effective at rounding up illegals and creating job openings for out of work American citizens.

What’s next for Sarah Palin? She seems at the moment to be finding a role as a general commentator, remarking on Ron Paul’s foreign policy and whatnot. That is, she seems to be at loose ends. There is much more she could do as an Alaskan, in terms of advancing regionalism and states as laboratories, as Rick Perry talks about it.

Palin’s role these past two years has been much as the La Passionara of the Tea Party movement. Seeing her at the Nashville Tea Party Congress at the beginning showed a connection to this rustic grassroots movement, which brought it to large recognition.

But something happened in the interim. Old-school professionals like Dick Armey commandeered the rising spirit and it became an unfocused conservative howl, and old-fashioned country rant against those effete Washington people.

The Tea Party has lost its original intent. State sovereignty issues as they are maturely discussed by Andrew Napolitano on Freedom Watch and Thomas Woods and Rick Perry and governors like Butch Otter of Idaho and candidates like Alaska’s Joe Miller and advanced by legislators like Delegate Jim LeMunyon of Virginia need some time to percolate. And there couldn’t be a better Petri dish than Alaska.

A sympathetic president like Perry cannot dictate these changes top down. They have to rise up from the states and governors must take the initiative. And the status of governors must be enhanced. Palin is in the perfect position to bring leadership to this new direction.
