Democratic Councilman Arrested, Accused of $156,000 Bribery Scheme

Washington, D.C., Councilmember Trayon White Sr. was recently arrested for allegedly facilitating a $156,000 bribery scheme. White, a Democrat, has been representing D.C.’s Ward 8 since 2017, and he recently won the Democratic primary in June.

White is accused of using his position in office to pressure government employees to extend contracts in exchange for cash payments, the Department of Justice announced Monday.

A criminal complaint revealed that White was charged with bribery for allegedly accepting money and other items of value in return for using his position to pressure employees at the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement and the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services to extend several contracts valued at $5.2 million.

Since June, White has allegedly received four payments totaling $156,000 from the owner of two unnamed companies. According to the complaint, an arrangement between White and the contractor was caught on video. Revealed: Walz Praised Chinese Communism to Students

Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), promoted Chinese-style communism to his high school students in the 1990s, telling them that “everyone shares” and gets free food and housing.

The pro-communist comments were recently unearthed by the Washington Free Beacon’s discovery of a 1991 article in Nebraska’s Alliance Times-Herald, where one of Walz’s lessons was quoted.

“It means that everyone is the same and everyone shares,” Walz told his social studies class of China’s economic system. “The doctor and the construction worker make the same. The Chinese government and the place they work for provide housing and 14 kg or about 30 pounds of rice per month. They get food and housing.”

Walz, who first traveled to China just months after the government slaughtered pro-democracy students and protesters in the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, has been criticized for praising the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) over decades of trips that followed. The Lies Have It: Watch Joe Biden Open 2024 DNC With Massive Deception

Joe Biden on Monday night at this year’s Democrat party convention delivered what is expected to be his farewell to the 2024 presidential race, his party’s support and much, much more, including a political career that has spanned decades.

But like myriad earlier speeches, he couldn’t get by without telling a falsehood, or two. Or more.

He criticized “political violence,” but didn’t address the lawfare his party has launched, with multiple court cases against President Donald Trump, including one about possession of classified documents – an offense Biden also committed but for which he faced no charges. But Trump was charged with a long list of counts.

Then he trotted out his story, which is false, about the race violence that happened in Charlottesville, Virginia.

New U.S. Army Policy Spells Trouble for Christians

A policy revision adopted recently by the U.S. Army could spell trouble for soldiers who believe in and follow the Holy Bible.

In June, the Army issued two new directives regarding the handling and reporting of “protest, extremist and criminal gang activities” by soldiers. Army directive 2024-07 on handling extremist activity, as well as the service’s directive 2024-08 on reporting extremist activity, can both be found on the website of the Army Inspector General.

WorldNetDaily interviewed Dr. Charles “Chase” Spears, recently retired after a 20-year Army public affairs career specializing in ethical military communication strategy.

“Since day one of his tenure as secretary of Defense,” Spears told WND, “Lloyd Austin claimed that there is a major issue with [Christian] extremism in the military.” Spears added, “This is the same military that made [Austin] a four-star general.”

But the Army’s new rules beg the question: “Why now, when multiple reports have debunked Austin’s claim?” Even if, Spears said, the Army’s directives were implemented with the intention of clarifying what amounts to “extremism,” a word he says is “open to wide interpretation in the current political climate,” the new policy “makes it appear that if you disagree with [the views of Austin and the Biden administration], then you’re an extremist.” . . .

To that end, Spears pointed out that Army directive 2024-07 states extremist activity includes “advocating widespread unlawful discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including pregnancy), gender identity, or sexual orientation.” He warned that “because they feel they need to please their political superiors, some military commanders will infer that because you disagree with women competing in men’s sports, you are now engaging in an act of extremism.” (Read more from “New U.S. Army Policy Spells Trouble for Christians” HERE)

Kamala Harris Turned Down Debate on Fox News, Trump Says

Former President Donald Trump claimed Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris has opted against participating in a Fox News debate next month.

“Comrade Kamala Harris has just informed us that she will NOT do the FoxNews Debate on September 4th,” the Republican nominee for president wrote on Truth Social.

The vice president’s apparent decision to turn down the debate didn’t shock Trump.

“I am not surprised by this development because I feel that she knows it is very difficult, at best, for her to defend her record setting Flip-Flopping on absolutely everything she once believed in, including her statements that THERE WILL BE NO FRACKING IN PENNSYLVANIA and her HORRIBLE Performance on the Border, our “Border Czar,” where millions of criminals and people from mental institutions and terrorists, have been allowed to pour into our Country, totally unchecked and unvetted,” the former president wrote.

US Intelligence Officials Confirm Iran Hacked Trump Campaign

Top intelligence officials confirmed Monday that Iran was behind a hack of former President Donald Trump’s campaign and attempts to “access to individuals with direct access to the presidential campaigns of both political parties.”

Microsoft and Google previously revealed Iran breached a campaign. Intelligence officials surmised that Tehran was attempting to meddle in the 2024 presidential election with its cyber attacks.

“Iran seeks to stoke discord and undermine confidence in our democratic institutions,” officials from the FBI, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said in a joint statement.

“Protecting the integrity of our elections from foreign influence or interference is our priority,” the agencies added in a joint statement. “We will not tolerate foreign efforts to influence or interfere with our elections, including the targeting of American political campaigns.”

Trump Reportedly Forced to Cancel Events Leading Up to Assassination Attempt Due to Secret Service Shortcomings

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign was forced to cancel several events and rallies leading up to the failed assassination attempt because the Secret Service had failed to properly secure the area, aides told The Washington Post.

In the aftermath of the assassination attempt on Trump, concerns about the Secret Service’s ability to protect the former president have come to light and eventually forced Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle to resign. The Trump campaign previously requested additional precautions but were denied “additional protection” including “more snipers, bomb-sniffing dogs, magnetometers and specialty teams” ahead of the assassination attempt because Secret Service officials said the resources weren’t available, aides told The Washington Post.

The Secret Service has stepped up protection so much since the assassination attempt that Trump aides have said it feels like the former president is in office again, sources told the outlet.

“We live in a military encampment again,” one source told The Washington Post of the increased security at events and Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.

Democrats Shove Biden Out of DNC Primetime for Last Gasp of Presidency

President Joe Biden took the Democratic National Convention stage well past his scheduled primetime slot to cap off a night meant to honor his legacy.

The DNC ran considerably behind schedule, leading the president to be booted from his primetime speaking slot to appear close to midnight on the east coast. The first night of the convention was full of speakers who dedicated their speeches to Biden’s four years in office, his decision to pick Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate and his choice to end his 2024 reelection bid. An emotional Biden himself made a nod to the theme throughout his speech, praising Harris as he was repeatedly interrupted by “thank you, Joe” chants.

“It’s been the honor of my lifetime to serve as your president. I love the job, but I love my country more. All this talk about how I’m angry at all the people who said I should step down — it’s not true. I love my country more, and we need to preserve our democracy in 2024. We need you to vote. We need you to keep the Senate and the House of Representatives. And above all, we need you to beat Donald Trump,” Biden said before wrapping his speech up after midnight. It lasted nearly an hour.

As the speakers leading up to Biden on the schedule began dragging on and on, speculation swirled about how and why the president had been shoved aside to speak when many Americans would already be asleep.

Planned Parenthood to Offer Free Vasectomies, Abortions During DNC

By Breitbart. A Planned Parenthood clinic will be offering people free vasectomies and abortions during the Democratic National Convention (DNC), which is set to be held next week in Chicago.

Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (PPGR), the Chicago Abortion Fund, and The Wieners Circle will be “providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion” at Planned Parenthood Great Rivers’ mobile health clinic, PPGR announced in a post on X.

According to the New York Times, the mobile health clinic will be set up “blocks away” from the DNC.

PPGR, which is part of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, is described as being “the leading provider, educator, and protector of sexual and reproductive health care in the St. Louis region, Missouri Ozarks, and beyond,” according to the website for Planned Parenthood Great Rivers.

“Here we come, Chicago! Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop with @ChiAbortionFund & @TheWienerCircle Aug 19-20, providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion. EC will also be available for free without an appointment.”

Pro-Choice Protesters Offered Me Free Plan B Within 5 Minutes Before the DNC

Although the Democratic National Convention does not begin until Monday, a mishmash of various left-wing interest groups had already amassed in downtown Chicago by Sunday afternoon. Bodies Outside of Unjust Laws successfully sued the city after initially being denied a permit to, in the group’s own words, “crash the party” to coronate Vice President Kamala Harris as the party’s 2024 nominee. Flanked by protection not just from the Chicago Police Department but also the Department of Justice, the first March on the DNC featured keffiyeh-clad activists calling for the taxpayer funding of abortion until the point of birth and support for Palestine, a territory where abortion is banned at any and all points of pregnancy.

Within five minutes of approaching protest volunteers from the Hydra Fund, this reporter was offered a complimentary dose of Plan B. While emergency contraception does not terminate a fertilized pregnancy, the Hydra Fund’s main goal is to fund actual abortions for expectant mothers in Michigan. Though the crucial swing state’s constitution codified abortion access up until the point of birth after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the protesters congregating across the DuSable Bridge argue the Democratic governments haven’t gone far enough.

“We have to treat abortion as a health issue, and therefore people who are medical people should be able to do that,” said Dianne Feeley, a Michigan activist lobbying to overturn a restriction that currently says only physicians can administer abortions. “You know, licensed physician assistants, a whole range of people, and then with medication abortion, with information over the internet, you can perform the abortion safely yourself.” (Read more from “Pro-Choice Protesters Offered Me Free Plan B Within 5 Minutes Before the DNC” HERE)

Vance Says Voters See Harris as ‘More of the Same’ Instead of ‘Fresh Start’

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) argued voters view a presidency under Vice President Kamala Harris as “more of the same” they experienced under President Joe Biden, and that voters will instead want to go back to former President Donald Trump’s leadership.

Vance, Trump’s 2024 running mate, argued that Harris’s campaign has experienced a “sugar high” since she stepped in for Biden as the Democratic Party’s 2024 nominee, citing the Trump campaign’s internal data that Harris’s support has “leveled off.” He contended that voters do not buy the idea of Harris addressing inflation as president, joking that Harris being in charge of inflation policy would be like Jeffrey Epstein being in charge of human trafficking policy.

“The American people are much smarter than that,” Vance said on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream. “They don’t buy the idea that Kamala Harris represents a fresh start. She is more of the same. It is doubling down on the failed policies of the Biden administration to give Kamala Harris a promotion rather than to fire her, which is what I think most Americans are going to do on November.”

The vice presidential candidate also dismissed polling that has placed Harris ahead of Trump, arguing press outlets release “fake polls to drive down Republican turnout” ahead of elections. He also said his campaign is in “a very, very good spot,” and that all it needs to do is make it to the finish line.
