Biden Couldn’t Even Make It 48 Hours Without Using Extreme Rhetoric Against Trump

President Joe Biden couldn’t even last 48 hours without using extreme rhetoric against former President Donald Trump, after having called on Sunday night for the nation to “lower the temperature in our politics” after Trump survived an assassination attempt.

Speaking at the NAACP convention in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Biden used his traditional playbook of slandering Republicans.

“They will do everything — undo everything the NAACP stands for, but now they’re trying to deny it. They’re lying about their Project 2025. They want to deny you freedom, the freedom of the vote, have your vote counted,” Biden said, completely lying.

“They’d impose a nationwide ban on abortion. … They want to prosecute political enemies. They want to cut Social Security and Medicare, rip away protection for millions of pre-existing conditions for 400 million people … risking people’s lives, costing the government more money. … They would … give the very wealthy a big corporate — corporations a new tax cut,” Biden continued.

All Biden really did this time was stop short of comparing Trump to Hitler — which he’s done in the past. (Read more from “Biden Couldn’t Even Make It 48 Hours Without Using Extreme Rhetoric Against Trump” HERE)

DC Jail Defies U.S. House Demand for Videos of Apparent Pepper-Spray Attack Against J6 Defendant

The District of Columbia Department of Corrections has refused a demand from the House Judiciary Committee for bodycam footage, security video, and medical records related to the September 2022 pepper-spray attack by a jail guard on Jan. 6 detainee Ronald Colton McAbee.

The refusal letter from the DOC deputy general counsel is the latest salvo in a war waged since 2023 by U.S. Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) to obtain and make public video that shows the attack.

It sets up the likelihood that the Judiciary Committee headed by U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) will issue a subpoena to compel release of the materials.

In a July 15 response to Jordan, Nehls, and U.S. Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.), the DOC deputy counsel cited privacy issues and security of the jail in denying the surveillance video and bodycam footage demanded by the Judiciary Committee.

“The footage requested depicts schematic layouts, points of entry and exit, and arguably the most safety-sensitive aspect of all, the locations of security cameras in that unit,” Andrew Mazzuchelli wrote. Insiders Describe Trump’s Renewed Determination, Strength in Face of Assassination Attempt

Donald Trump wasn’t slated to appear at the Republican National Convention until Thursday.

But when he unexpectedly showed up on Monday, it wasn’t the shock factor that moved delegates and attendees alike, it was his very presence, his walk, his ear bandage, his raised fist in the air and his decision to attend the convention at all just days after nearly losing his life in a failed assassination attempt.

Over the course of several days, social media has buzzed with simulations, photos and diagrams displaying just how close Trump was to death. It was nothing other than divine providence, Trump wrote on Truth Social, and it’s a topic he’s discussed with confidants in recent days, many told the Daily Caller. They described a new strength and determination to meet the moment on the former president’s face and in his voice.

“By the end of [Monday] night, I was able to work up to the rope line. So when he came down off the stairs and walked through, he saw me. He came up to me and put his hand through Secret Service to shake my hand. He looked me right in the eye. He said, ‘that was a heck of a day, wasn’t it? I said, yes, it was, sir,’” Blake Marnell, a California delegate often seen at Trump rallies donning a brick suit, told the Caller. “The truth is, he’s a heck of a guy and we’re lucky to have him.”

Donald Trump Jr. told the Caller he had to wait nearly an hour and a half to get news that his father was okay. In a phone call with his father not long after escaping death, Trump Jr. told the Caller they cracked some jokes. Star Athlete Gets Part of His Finger Chopped Off to Guarantee His Spot in the Olympics

. . .Matthew Dawson, an Australian field hockey player, revealed Wednesday that he decided to amputate part of his ring finger so that he could be a part of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

While pre-Olympic competition was happening, Dawson broke his finger. In response, he made sure that the injury, as well as the process of healing, didn’t keep him out of the international event.

“I made an informed decision with the plastic surgeon at the time, not only for the opportunity to play in Paris but for life after as well,” said Dawson to 7News. “The best option was for me to take the top of my finger off.”

Saying that it was a long-term decision that both he and his wife made together, Dawson also stated that the injury gives him “change” and an “exciting challenge.”

Hunter Biden Seeks Dismissal of Tax, Gun Cases, Citing Decision to Toss Trump Case

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, asked federal judges on Thursday to dismiss tax and gun cases against him, citing a ruling in Florida this week that threw out a separate prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

The requests in federal court in Delaware and California underscore the potential ramifications of U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon’s dismissal Monday of the classified documents case against Trump and the possibility that it could unsettle the legal landscape surrounding Justice Department special counsels.

Both Hunter Biden and Trump were prosecuted by special counsels appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland. In dismissing the Trump case, Cannon ruled that the appointment of the special counsel who prosecuted Trump, Jack Smith, violated the Constitution because he was appointed directly to the position by Garland instead of being nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate.

Smith’s team has said the Justice Department followed long-establishment precedent — for instance, the Trump-era appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller to investigate Russian election interference was upheld by courts — and has appealed Cannon’s dismissal to a federal appeals court in Atlanta. Report: Biden Considers Dropping Out This Weekend, Future Uncertain

New reports suggest that President Joe Biden will step down from the race this weekend and will either endorse Vice President Kamala Harris or allow an open convention to choose the next nominee.

According to the New York Times, several people close to Biden said on Thursday that the president has “begun to accept the idea that he may not be able to win in November and may have to drop out of the race, bowing to the growing demands of many anxious members of his party.”

Though one source close to the president said that Biden has not yet made up his mind on whether or not to leave the race, another said that the “reality is setting in” and that Biden might very well make “an announcement soon endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as his replacement.” The Times noted:

This account is based on interviews with four people close to the president, all of whom described the situation as extremely delicate and spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid offending the president. Mr. Biden remained in isolation at his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Del., after being diagnosed with Covid on Wednesday.

Contradicting reports have been spreading on social media as to what the president’s next move might be. While the New York Times‘ source said Biden might endorse Kamala Harris immediately, reporter Mark Halperin said that “multiple sources” have claimed the president will leave the next nominee to be decided by an open convention. Per his post on X:

‘They’re Out to Kill Me!’: Trump’s F-Bomb Tirade on Spy Agencies Who Didn’t Tell Him of Iranian Assassination Plot

After surviving one assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump is furious that he was kept in the dark about another plot on his life.

A source inside the campaign exclusively told RadarOnline.com: “Trump is flipping mad and behind-the-scenes, he isn’t sugar coating how he feels to his closest aides.

“He feels an obvious sense of relief after what happened in Butler, but when it emerged on Tuesday that intelligence agencies were tracking a potential Iranian assassination plot against him, he melted down and said in no uncertain terms: ‘They’re out to kill me.’”

Trump did not refer to whom he meant when saying “they’re” out to have him killed.

The campaign insider added: “If you know Donald Trump, you know it wasn’t as pleasant as ‘they’re out to kill me.’ It was laced with profanity, and rightly so. He dropped f-bomb after f-bomb. Biden Read Note With Staffer’s Critique Aloud on Call With Dems: ‘You Are Sounding Defensive’

President Biden was handed a private note during a recent call with Democratic House lawmakers telling him to “stay positive” — and he read it out loud.

A staffer gave the 81-year-old president a note card with tips as he attempted to persuade members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus on Saturday that he was fit to serve and able to defeat former President Donald Trump on Election Day, the New York Times reported.

“Stay positive, you are sounding defensive,” Biden said on the call, seemingly reading directly from his staffer’s short missive.

One lawmaker told the New York Times that the moment represented how “stage-managed” calls between the president and lawmakers concerned about his re-election chances have seemed.

Biden has long been known to rely on note cards for press conferences, summits and private fundraisers, instructing him where to sit, what to do and who people are. (Read more from “Biden Read Note With Staffer’s Critique Aloud on Call With Dems: ‘You Are Sounding Defensive’” HERE)

Nancy Pelosi Privately Told Biden He Can’t Beat Trump in 2024 Presidential Race, Would Ruin Dems Chances in House if He Stays In: Report

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told President Biden in a private conversation that polling indicates he can’t beat Donald Trump in the 2024 election, according to a report.

Pelosi also conveyed to Biden that his continued presidential re-election campaign could destroy Democrats’ chances of winning the House in November, four sources told CNN.

The California congresswoman referred to several polls showing that Trump would beat the incumbent during their private conversation, the report said.

Biden reportedly pushed back — telling Pelosi that all polling he’s seen has pointed to a successful re-election bid. (Read more from “Nancy Pelosi Privately Told Biden He Can’t Beat Trump in 2024 Presidential Race, Would Ruin Dems Chances in House if He Stays In: Report” HERE)

Here’s Why Kamala Harris’ Post About JD Vance is Particularly Awful

Former and potentially future President Donald Trump on Monday picked Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) as his running mate, and as we’ve been covering since, the Democrats have been going after him nonstop. The Democrats have especially tried to tie Trump and Vance to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, even when this has repeatedly been confirmed to not be the case. It goes deeper, though.

In a Wednesday morning post, Vice President Kamala Harris not only once again connected Vance to Project 2025, she had the audacity to claim Vance “will be loyal only to Trump, not to our country.”

President Joe Biden’s X account also shared Harris’ post, with yet another message about Project 2025. The Democrats’ X account reposted both Harris and Biden. . .

Such a charge about one’s loyalty is a harsh one to be making about anybody It’s particularly so in Vance’s case, given that he’s a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps during the Iraq War. Neil W. McCabe at our sister site of RedState also put out a piece highlighting Vance’s military career not long after the Monday announcement was made.

This combative tone stands in stark contrast to how Harris had reportedly just called Vance days before to leave a message congratulating him and welcoming him to the race.
