Biden’s Support Plummets: Calls for a New Democratic Candidate Grow Louder

Following a disastrous debate performance, President Joe Biden is rapidly losing support, even among his former staunch backers. Recent post-debate polling data reveals that two-thirds of voters believe Biden is too old to be president, with one in three Democrats suggesting he should step aside in the upcoming election. Notably, long-time supporter George Clooney has also turned against him.

As the Democratic National Convention (DNC) approaches, set to be held from August 19th to 22nd, the calls for Biden to allow another Democrat to challenge Trump are increasing. Despite this, Biden remains steadfast in his decision to stay in the race.

The New York Post interviewed four Democrats desperate for an alternative candidate in 2024. Among them is Getulio Gonzalez-Mulattieri, a 36-year-old Air Force veteran and public policy student at Cornell University, who has voted Democrat in every presidential election since 2008.

“I’ve slowly gotten to the point that I just can’t go through with this guy,” Gonzalez-Mulattieri told The Post. “All this recent debate did was confirm for me what I already suspected… The guy is cognitively impaired. His mental acuity isn’t there. How is he supposed to have the most important job in government?”

Gonzalez-Mulattieri, who has a background in community organizing and advocacy for racial equity, environmental justice, and immigration reform, feels betrayed by the Democrats’ portrayal of Biden’s mental state.

“Democrats keep pushing the narrative that he’s strong, he’s energetic — don’t give me that b******t,” he said. “Why would I trust you after you’ve given me this false narrative over the course of two years?”

Concerns about Biden’s cognitive health have been echoed by Dr. Tom Pitts, a New York specialist who recently told NBC that Biden displays classic symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. “I could have diagnosed him from across the mall,” Pitts said. “It’s just like — this guy is not a hard case. I see him 20 times a day in clinic.”

Despite these concerns, the Biden administration continues to obfuscate the issue. The latest effort involves downplaying the significance of Parkinson’s expert Dr. Kevin Cannard’s eight visits to the White House over the past eight months. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre initially claimed Cannard’s visits were unrelated to Biden’s health, only for Biden’s personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, to later admit otherwise.

Adding to the skepticism, Biden has refused to take a diagnostic cognitive test and make the results public. In a recent interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Biden brushed off concerns, claiming he undergoes a cognitive test “every day” and insisting he is capable of running the country. However, his performance on the global stage and domestic issues tells a different story.

ABC News Exec Was ‘Furious’ After George Stephanopoulos Said Biden Can’t Serve Another White House Term: Report

A top ABC News executive was reportedly “furious” upon learning that George Stephanopoulos, a former Democratic operative, came off as biased against President Biden.

Stephanopoulos, 63, was told by the network’s news division head, Debra O’Connell, that “he is a newsman who is expected to be objective,” according to Radar Online, after video footage emerged of the former Bill Clinton adviser telling a Manhattan passerby, “I don’t think [Biden] can serve four more years.”

The candid clip of Stephanopoulos, published by TMZ on Tuesday, reportedly sparked an internal meeting at ABC, which resulted in O’Connell asking that the “Good Morning America” and “This Week” host apologize for his remark – which he did.

“Earlier today I responded to a question from a passerby. I shouldn’t have,” the news anchor told Puck News in a statement hours after his comments went viral.

And ABC News, in its own statement to the outlet, added: “George expressed his own point of view and not the position of ABC News.” (Read more from “ABC News Exec Was ‘Furious’ After George Stephanopoulos Said Biden Can’t Serve Another White House Term: Report” HERE)

Trump’s Ex-Wife Marla Maples Stands by Former President, Ready to Help His Campaign

Marla Maples, Donald Trump’s ex-wife, revealed in a rare interview that she’s willing to help the former president’s 2024 campaign — and is even “open” to being his vice president.

“I’m ready. I am available if needed and I’m not sitting back anymore,” Maples, who just turned 60, told The Evening Standard in her first interview in eight years.

“I want to step out more, share more and not be afraid of positive or negative outcomes that come from speaking out,” she added.

Maples, who shares daughter Tiffany Trump with the former commander in chief, said her willingness to help Trump’s second White House bid has not been affected by her ex-husband’s legal troubles.

She was asked about the lawsuit filed against Trump by writer Jean E. Carroll which resulted in the former president being found liable by a Manhattan federal jury of sex abuse and defamation. Blue State to Ban Hotels From Providing Guests With Mini Shampoo, Conditioner Bottles

New York state will be mandating hotels to forgo small bottles containing “hospitality care” products such as shampoo and lotions.

The enforcement comes as a bill was passed in the New York Assembly in hopes of reducing waste.

Beginning on Jan. 1, 2025, hotels with more than 50 rooms will not be able to provide toiletry bottles under 12 ounces, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation’s website.

The act, which was first introduced in 2019, defines “hospitality personal care product” as a “product provided by a hotel and intended to be applied to or used on the human body or any part thereof for cleansing,” the legislation states.

The law says that hotels that break the restriction will first receive a warning with 30 days to “correct the violation.” (Read more from “Blue State to Ban Hotels From Providing Guests With Mini Shampoo, Conditioner Bottles” HERE)

Donations to Biden Campaign Are Imploding, Sources Tell NBC News: ‘The Money Has Absolutely Shut Off’

An NBC News report cited several sources close to the Biden re-election campaign saying that campaign donations had imploded since the disastrous presidential debate.

The sources close to the campaign said that it had already faced a downturn in donations, but it has worsened into a crisis after President Joe Biden flailed and bumbled through the CNN debate with former President Donald Trump. . .

Two of the sources said that donations from major donors were trending toward being cut in half for July, or even more.

“Donors are negative. They had a call with the president. The call seemed so contrived to people; I don’t think they buy it,” said a source about a national fundraising call by Biden with donors.

“They called on people who were the most loyal, die-hard,” the source continued. “There were no tough questions for the president.” (Read more from “Donations to Biden Campaign Are Imploding, Sources Tell NBC News: ‘The Money Has Absolutely Shut Off'” HERE)

Chinese Spying Facilities in Cuba Signal America’s New Cold War

China has likely upgraded and expanded its spying facilities in Cuba, according to a new report by an American think tank. The report not only confirms that a Cold War between China and the U.S. has already started, but also raises new concerns that China may be aiming to bring it to America’s doorstep, posing potentially severe and grave implications for the U.S.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, produced the study as a follow-up to The Wall Street Journal’s reporting last year that revealed China had secretly agreed to pay cash-strapped Cuba several billion dollars to establish a Chinese electronic eavesdropping facility on the island. This facility is likely to be used for intercepting communications and gathering intelligence on the United States and its allies, according to CSIS.

Probably not wanting the news to disrupt the Biden administration’s détente approach to Beijing, the White House initially insisted that the Journal’s report was inaccurate. Yet, two days later, a U.S. official confirmed that China had a spy base in Cuba since at least 2019. The Biden administration then claimed that it had taken steps to “slow down Beijing’s efforts to expand its intelligence gathering” without elaborating on those steps.

The Biden administration’s vague explanation only inspired more research on the topic. CSIS examined years’ worth of satellite images and released its findings last week. CSIS finds that, contrary to what the Biden administration has told us, China has probably sped up, not slowed down, its intelligence-gathering effort in Cuba.

CSIS’s investigation identified four electronic spying stations in Cuba that have been upgraded and expanded: Bejucal, Calabazar, Wajay, and the previously unknown El Salao. For example, by comparing satellite images, CSIS noticed the site at Wajay “has gradually expanded over the past 20 years, growing from just one antenna and several small buildings in 2002 to a robust complex today. It now hosts 12 antennas of various sizes and orientations.” (Read more from “Chinese Spying Facilities in Cuba Signal America’s New Cold War” HERE)

There’s Only One Reason Democrats Oppose Requiring Proof of Citizenship to Vote

As the Republican-controlled House is expected to take up a bill Wednesday aimed at making sure only U.S. citizens vote in federal elections, President Joe Biden is signaling he would kill the measure should it miraculously survive the Democrat-led Senate. Biden isn’t likely to need the veto pen.

Democrats will, however, be forced to explain why they oppose the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which requires documentary proof of citizenship to vote for president and members of Congress.

And while they have gotten plenty of cover from corporate media in asserting that foreign nationals — including illegal aliens — are rarely ever caught voting in federal elections, such explanations may not sit well with U.S. voters who overwhelmingly support prohibitions on noncitizens voting in federal elections. Most Americans, too, according to polls, are deeply concerned about the tsunami of illegal immigrants that has swamped U.S. communities on Biden’s watch. Exactly why the Biden administration has kept the border door wide open isn’t lost on anyone who has been paying attention for the past three and a half years.

“Democrats say it’s already illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections. That’s true. It’s also illegal for someone to illegally enter our country, but that hasn’t stopped millions and millions of people,” U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Wis., told me Tuesday during an interview on the “The Vicki McKenna Show” in Milwaukee and Madison. . .

Steil, the chairman of the House Committee on Administration, which passed H.R. 8281 in May, wants to remind anyone who will listen that Democrats already support foreign nationals voting in local elections, as they are allowed to do in Washington, D.C. Most House Democrats earlier this year voted against a measure that would have barred illegal immigrants and other noncitizens from voting in local elections in the nation’s capital. The bill is deemed dead on arrival in the Senate. (Read more from “There’s Only One Reason Democrats Oppose Requiring Proof of Citizenship to Vote” HERE)

AOC Files Articles of Impeachment Against Supreme Court Justices Alito, Thomas

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is attempting to oust two major Supreme Court Justices, arguing that their refusal to recuse themselves from certain cases “constitutes a grave threat to the American rule of law.”

The Squad member introduced articles of impeachment on Wednesday against Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas over alleged undisclosed gifts Thomas received and political altercations involving Alito’s home.

The unchecked corruption crisis on the Supreme Court has now spiraled into a Constitutional crisis threatening American democracy writ large. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito’s pattern of refusal to recuse from consequential matters before the court in which they hold widely documented financial and personal entanglements constitutes a grave threat to the American rule of law, the integrity of our democracy, and one of the clearest cases for which the tool of impeachment was designed. Justice Thomas and Alito’s repeated failure over decades to disclose that they received millions of dollars in gifts from individuals with business before the court is explicitly against the law. And their refusal to recuse from the specific matters and cases before the court in which their benefactors and spouses are implicated represents nothing less than a constitutional crisis. These failures alone would amount to a deep transgression worthy of standard removal in any lower court and would disqualify any nominee to the highest court from confirmation in the first place. Via Ocasio-Cortez’s statement.

The first charge is related to an upside-down American and an “Appeal to Heaven” flag outside of Alito’s home, in which he refused to recuse himself from two Trump-related cases that were pending at the time.

Senator Introduces Legislation to Provide Oversight for Gain of Function Research Funding

Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul will introduce legislation Wednesday that would provide oversight for gain of function research funding by establishing an independent board responsible for reviewing and approving federal funding for high-risk life sciences research.

The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the legislation, which is titled The Risky Research Review Act. The bill would specifically create the “Life Sciences Research Security Board,” an independent entity “within the Executive Branch.” The Board would provide oversight over life sciences research funding across the federal government to protect “public health, safety, or national security.” There would be nine seats on the board.

The legislation specifically focused on high-risk life sciences research that “could pose a threat to public health, safety, or national security,” including “gain of function research,” research involving “genetic modification” or “synthetic creation of a potential pandemic pathogen,” and “activities involving the collection or surveillance of” potential pandemic pathogens.

In a conversation with the Caller before introducing the bill, Paul explained that there needs to be oversight outside of the NIH and HHS and that this bill would do just that. Paul also explained how dangerous he believes gain of function research to be.

“The pandemic killed about 15 million people worldwide, about a million Americans. We believe that the evidence overwhelmingly points towards the pandemic being a leak of dangerous research from a lab in Wuhan. We think this research is ongoing not only in China, but in the United States as well,” Paul said. “This research was funded by our NIH, and we think there needs to be more restrictions on taxpayer money going to this type of dangerous research. We think part of the problem is that the oversight has been the NIH policing themselves. But from the get go for more than a decade, probably for 15 years. Anthony Fauci has been an advocate of gain of function research.” (Read more from “Senator Introduces Legislation to Provide Oversight for Gain of Function Research Funding” HERE)

‘They Crave Their Power’: Republicans Who Impeached Trump Call Out Dems for Silence on Biden’s Decline

Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump, and paid a heavy political price, are calling out their Democratic counterparts for refusing to address President Joe Biden’s mental decline in public.

Former congressmen John Katko and Tom Rice told the Daily Caller it’s time for Democrats to put country over party and be honest about Biden. While a handful of Democratic lawmakers have publicly called for Biden to step aside, far more have seemingly told journalists off the record how badly Biden has declined while refusing to take their concerns out into the open.

“Their primary function is doing what’s necessary to get reelected, and not what’s best for the country,” said Rice. “I took an oath to protect the Constitution. Best of one thing, I took an oath to protect and I wasn’t going to violate my oath.”

Now, many Democrats are failing to take a similar stand despite demanding Republicans do so in the past.

“Strong leadership is lonely and tough decisions, especially those against your own party, are even lonelier,” Katko told the Caller. “But at times they are so very necessary. This may be one of those times for many in the Democratic Party regarding President Biden. History is a long time.” (Read more from “‘They Crave Their Power’: Republicans Who Impeached Trump Call Out Dems for Silence on Biden’s Decline” HERE)
