New Evidence of Saudi Gov’t Role in 9/11 Should Halt Security Pact Talk

There is new evidence that shows that some Saudi government officials were more involved in the 9/11 attacks than previously known. According to a new filing in a lawsuit brought by the families of the 9/11 victims, al-Qaida operatives received significant support from members of the Saudi government in their preparations for the attacks.

As Daniel Benjamin, president of the American Academy in Berlin, and Quincy Institute senior fellow Steven Simon explain in a new article for The Atlantic, the plaintiffs allege that Saudi officials “were not rogue operators but rather the front end of a conspiracy that included the Saudi embassy in Washington and senior government officials in Riyadh.” If the allegations are true, that has important implications for our understanding of the attacks and how international terrorist groups operate, and it also gives Americans another reason to question the wisdom of a security pact with Saudi Arabia today.

There had already been some proof of collusion between Saudi officials and 9/11 hijackers revealed in the past, but as Benjamin and Simon point out, the new evidence suggests that the actions taken by two Saudi officials working in the U.S. to support the hijackers were “deliberate, sustained, and carefully coordinated with other Saudi officials.” If true, the failure of our government to hold the Saudis accountable for the role of their officials in the attacks is inexcusable. It makes the continued indulgence of Saudi Arabia by successive administrations over the last two decades even more repugnant.

The Saudi government predictably denies the allegations, but that is what Riyadh always does when there are credible accusations of wrongdoing against it. In the weeks following the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018, the Saudi government claimed that it had done nothing to him and even used a poorly disguised double to promote a false story that he had voluntarily left the consulate in Istanbul. The Saudi government routinely denied responsibility for airstrikes on civilian targets in Yemen when their forces were the only ones that could have launched them. Saudi denials don’t count for much, and I wouldn’t bet on their veracity in this case, either. (Read more from “New Evidence of Saudi Gov’t Role in 9/11 Should Halt Security Pact Talk” HERE)

Special Forces Army Colonel Shoots, Kills Chechen Near Fort Bragg

A mysterious shooting in North Carolina north of Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, not far from where some of America’s most elite U.S. Special Operations forces live and train is under investigation by the Army Criminal Investigation Division as well as local police. The shooting in Carthage, North Carolina occurred May 3 at 8:15 p.m. following a phone call about a suspected trespasser near a Special Forces soldier’s property.

Two Chechen men who spoke broken English were found near the soldier’s home. The family alleges the suspected intruder, 35-year-old Ramzan Daraev of Chicago was taking photos of their children. When confronted near a power line in a wooded part of the property, an altercation ensued and Daraev was shot several times at close range. A second man, Dzhankutov Adsalan, was in a vehicle some distance from the incident and was questioned by authorities and then released. The Moore County Sheriff’s office is leading the investigation.

The FBI told Fox News, “Our law enforcement partners at the Moore County Sheriff’s Office contacted the FBI after a shooting death in Carthage. A special agent met with investigators and provided a linguist to assist with a language barrier for interviews.”

Sheriff Ronnie Fields said in a statement: “The caller indicated that an individual was observed taking photographs on the property and had become aggressive towards a resident outside their home…. The deceased was found approximately 250 yards from the roadway, along a powerline on the residential property. Identification was not initially found on Daraev; however, his identity was later confirmed through family members and an international identification located in his vehicle.”

The shooter has been identified as a Colonel with the U.S. Army who resided at the location of the shooting. (Read more from “Mysterious Shooting Outside Army Special Forces Residence in North Carolina Raises Questions” HERE)

City of Kansas City Staffer Fired Over Social Media Post That Disowned Harrison Butker

The City of Kansas City social media employee who wrote a since-deleted post on X from the city’s official account that took aim at Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker was fired.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas revealed on KCMO talk radio that the employee had been “separated” from his job, and a statement from a spokesperson reiterated that later in the day.

“The employee has been separated from the City workforce for violation of City policy by posting outside the scope of authorized City communications. The City will have no further comment on the post or individual employees related to it,” the statement said.

The unnamed employee seemingly went rogue following the controversy surrounding Butker’s recent commencement speech at Benedictine College in which he took aim at President Joe Biden, the COVID-19 response, religion and working women, among other topics.

In the wake of that address, a post from the city’s official X account read: “Just a reminder that Harrison Butker lives in the City of Lee’s Summit.” (Read more from “City of Kansas City Staffer Fired Over Social Media Post That Disowned Harrison Butker” HERE)

Illegal Alien Is Shocked at How Easy It Is to Enter the U.S.

The crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border is so apparent that even illegal immigrants are shocked at how easy it is to enter the U.S. outside the legal ports of entry, to the point where they are concerned about criminals being able to enter the country without any issues.

Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin interviewed a man from Turkey who illegal crossed into the San Diego Sector, near Jacumba Hot Springs.

The man said he paid a Mexican cartel $10,000 to be able to cross through their territory on the Mexican side of the border.

“In fact, America people is right, completely true. Who comes into this country? They don’t know. Okay, I’m good, but how if they’re not good? How if they’re killers, psychopath, else? No guarantee of that,” the man warned. “Like, no security check, no background check.”

“You’re worried about who is crossing the border?” Melugin asked.

New Court Document Raises Serious Questions About Secret Service Involvement in Hunter Biden Gun Case

An otherwise innocuous court filing is raising new questions this week over the Secret Service’s denials that agents inserted themselves into the Hunter Biden gun case.

Days before the 2020 election, Blaze News reported that Secret Service agents visited the Delaware gun shop — StarQuest Shooters & Survival Supply — where Hunter Biden purchased a .38 caliber handgun in October 2018. During that transaction, Hunter allegedly lied on an ATF 4473 form about being a drug user. . .

Citing sources with “firsthand knowledge of the episode,” Politico reported that Secret Service agents approached the gun store owner, Ron Palimere, about two weeks after Hunter’s firearm transaction, requesting the paperwork involved in the sale.

At the time, the Secret Service denied any involvement in the incident.

More than three years later, special counsel David Weiss — who is preparing to prosecute the first son for allegedly lying on that ATF form — filed new evidentiary documents ahead of Hunter’s trial next month. Biden’s Next Big Nightmare Could Be Brewing in Aftermath of Federal Sex Scandal

Within a 234-page report on the workplace at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is what could be the next big headache President Joe Biden will have to face ahead of the 2024 election.

Following a 2023 Wall Street Journal report detailing widespread sexual harassment in the workplace, law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton was tapped with investigating the FDIC. Their May 7 report details how 500 individuals, close to one-in-ten employees at the entire agency, reported experiencing “sexual harassment, discrimination, and other interpersonal misconduct” in the workplace to the firm’s tip line.

In the aftermath of the report, Biden-nominated FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg resigned, but the scandal could continue to cause trouble for the president as he battles low poll numbers, experts told the Daily Caller.

“Joe Biden had a chance to take a bold action and show he cares about how women are treated in the workplace and cares about whistleblowers. But he cowardly hid behind his press secretary, who completely forgot this pledge that Biden had made to fire anybody who acted in this way,” Republican strategist Mark R. Weaver told the Daily Caller.

When he took office, Biden publicly promised to fire anyone he worked with who “treated another colleague with disrespect.” (Read more from “Biden’s Next Big Nightmare Could Be Brewing in Aftermath of Federal Sex Scandal” HERE)

University Event Goes ‘Weird’ as George Floyd Called ‘God’s Chosen Vessel’

George Floyd is recognized by almost everyone in America as the black man who died at the hands of Minneapolis police in a confrontation that eventually triggered race riots that caused billions of dollars in damages across the U.S. . .

But it’s a different characterization being given to him at an event in his honor at Arizona State.

There, a speaker deified him, insisting, “George Floyd died for us, each and every one … God chose him. He was a chosen vessel.”

A report at Not the Bee reported, “In the past, godly men and women were chosen to be honored by church leaders for their close walk with Jesus Christ. They healed the sick, defied tyrants, modeled virtue, traveled over land and sea to reach the lost, and helped the poor and oppressed. But today, in the Year of Our Floyd 4, we honor violent serial convicts who point guns at pregnant women, use counterfeit money, and resist arrest while sitting in a car with their drug dealer. We even honor the holy relics that were used in their cause!”

Catholic Monk Comes Out as Transgender With Diocese’s Permission

Diocesan hermits by nature don’t get much attention. A small subset of religious persons, hermits mostly spend their lives engaged in quiet prayer.

Brother Christian Matson, a Catholic diocesan hermit in Kentucky, has spent years doing just that. His monk’s habit might catch his neighbor’s eye, but he is known in the town where he lives primarily through his work with the local theater. But recently Matson decided that his faith compels him to make a little more noise than usual. “This Sunday, Pentecost 2024, I’m planning to come out publicly as transgender,” Matson told Religion News Service, saying he was speaking out with the permission of his bishop, John Stowe of the Diocese of Lexington in Kentucky.

Matson, who is also a Benedictine oblate, believes he is the first openly transgender person in his position in the Catholic Church. It is a difficult claim to confirm — even Stowe told RNS he did not know for sure if Matson is the first — but Matson’s status is at least highly unusual and comes at a time when church officials are grappling with how to address transgender Catholics.
