Vatican Defrocks Pro-life Priest for ‘Blasphemous Communications’

The Vatican defrocked pro-life priest Father Frank Pavone this week for what it claimed were “blasphemous” social media posts and alleged disobedience to his bishop, but he has vowed to continue exposing abortion, Democrats, and “the Swamp.”

In a letter to American bishops from the Vatican ambassador to the United States, Archbishop Christophe Pierre explained the decision was made in early November and “there was no chance for an appeal,” the Associated Press (AP) reported Sunday.

In a social media post-Saturday evening, Pavone said, “We have only just begun exposing #abortion, exposing the Democrats, exposing the Swamp (in both the state & the church).”

“One of the tactics of them all is that they think they can get away with their evil and shut the rest of us up. Wow, have they underestimated their opponents!” he continued:

In a subsequent post, Pavone wrote that in every profession, if one defends the unborn “you will be treated like them! The only difference is that when we are ‘aborted,’ we continue to speak, loud and clear.”

Trump Shrugs off Jan. 6 Panel’s Criminal Referral: ‘What Doesn’t Kill Me Makes Me Stronger’

By The Blaze. Former President Donald Trump brushed off the House Jan. 6 committee’s referral to the Department of Justice that he face criminal charges for his actions leading up to the 2021 Capitol riot.

“These folks don’t get it that when they come after me, people who love freedom rally around me. It strengthens me. What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger,” Trump wrote in a statement posted on his Truth Social account.

“Americans know that I pushed for 20,000 troops to prevent violence on Jan 6, and that I went on television and told everyone to go home….” the 76-year-old former commander-in-chief added.

Trump compared the bipartisan panel’s criminal referral Monday to the article of impeachment brought against him by Congress — twice — during his presidency.

“The people understand that the Democratic Bureau of Investigation, the DBI, are out to keep me from running for president because they know I’ll win and that this whole business of prosecuting me is just like impeachment was — a partisan attempt to sideline me and the Republican Party,” Trump wrote. Jan. 6 Committee Tears Into Ivanka for Not Being ‘Forthcoming,’ Memory Woes

By Washington Examiner. The Jan. 6 committee chastised former first daughter Ivanka Trump for not being fully straightforward with the panel in an executive summary released on Monday.

Ivanka reportedly sat for deposition before the committee for about eight hours, but during that time she often exhibited a “lack of full recollection of certain issues” and was not always “forthcoming” as some of the other witnesses had been about her father’s actions surrounding the Capitol riot, according to the executive summary.

“Ivanka Trump was not as forthcoming as Cipollone and others about President Trump’s conduct,” the executive summary said, “Ivanka Trump’s Chief of Staff Julie Radford had a more specific recollection of Ivanka Trump’s actions and statements.” (Read more from “Jan. 6 Committee Tears Into Ivanka for Not Being ‘Forthcoming,’ Memory Woes” HERE)

More Than $3 Million Later, Here’s What the January 6th Committee Came up With

The House of Representative’s select committee established by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to investigate the events of January 6, 2021 held its final public hearing on Monday and announced it would be making four criminal referrals for former President Donald Trump to the Department of Justice.

The four referrals are for:

Obstruction of an official proceeding
Conspiracy to defraud the United States
Conspiracy to make a false statement
Inciting or assisting an insurrection

Trump was not alone, either. A number of his associates were also referred to the DOJ, including Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Kenneth Chesebro, Mark Meadows, and Jeffrey Clark. (Read more from “More Than $3 Million Later, Here’s What the January 6th Committee Came up With” HERE)

Scenes From a Celebration of the Same-sex Marriage Law — At Mar-a-Lago

Hundreds of guests in tuxedos of all styles — sequined, quilted, velvet — and colorful gowns sipped on Trump-branded champagne and martinis. Between courses of steak and bite-sized Key lime pie, they danced to “YMCA” and “Macho Man,” the disco anthems at Trump rallies.

Thursday night’s Log Cabin Republicans’ “Spirit of Lincoln” gala in the main ballroom of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago beachfront club was a joyous celebration of gay rights and — in a case of ironic timing — the historic same-sex marriage law signed by President Joe Biden days earlier. . .

But the main attraction, obviously, was Trump. He received a standing ovation after delivering an enthusiastic affirmation of gay rights not often heard in the GOP.

“We are fighting for the gay community, and we are fighting and fighting hard,” the former president and 2024 candidate said. “With the help of many of the people here tonight in recent years, our movement has taken incredible strides, the strides you’ve made here is incredible.”

Throughout the evening, speakers praised Trump for his embrace of the gay community. They credited him for his initiatives to combat the criminalization of homosexuality, his work pushing for public heath initiatives to combat the HIV epidemic, and for appointing the first openly gay Cabinet member, Grenell, as director of national intelligence. New ‘Twitter Files’ Show FBI Paid Twitter Millions, Influenced Execs To Censor Hunter Biden Laptop Story

The bombshell story about Hunter Biden’s laptop from the New York Post was censored after the FBI had repeatedly warned Twitter executives about foreign election interference campaigns, according to the seventh installment of the Twitter Files released Monday.

Previous editions of the project, revealed by independent journalists based on emails and other internal company documents provided by Twitter CEO Elon Musk, have shown that federal law enforcement policed content on the platform and asked executives to remove certain posts. Even before the New York Post released the now-infamous October 2020 article, which included evidence that Hunter Biden introduced his father to a Ukrainian businessman, FBI officials pressured Twitter management to censor the story.

Indeed, there existed “an organized effort by representatives of the intelligence community” aimed at “senior executives at news and social media companies” to discredit “leaked information about Hunter Biden before and after it was published,” according to independent journalist Michael Shellenberger.

The FBI also paid Twitter more than $3.4 million for their “legal process response,” apparently referencing the time Twitter executives spent coordinating with the agency. ‘Twitter Files’: Twitter Employed Gang of Spies Leading Up to 2020 Election

Twitter employed multiple former spies from the intelligence community leading up to the 2020 election, according to the seventh tranche of “Twitter Files” released Monday by journalist Michael Shellenberger.

Among the ex-spies who worked for Twitter was James Baker, the FBI’s former general counsel, who was a key participant in pushing the 2016 Russia hoax against former President Donald Trump. Baker left the FBI in 2018 and joined the far-left Brookings Institution and CNN after his departure. In 2020, he joined Twitter as the “Deputy General Counsel and Vice President, Legal,” according to Baker’s LinkedIn. During his tenure, he played a key role in suppressing the New York Post’s first story on Hunter Biden’s “Laptop from Hell.”

“As of 2020, there were so many former FBI employees — ‘Bu alumni’ — working at Twitter that they had created their own private Slack channel and a crib sheet to onboard new FBI arrivals,” Shellenberger revealed:

Monday’s “Twitter Files” showed the FBI wanted to share information with Twitter employees that required a top secret security clearance. Twitter pointed the FBI to Baker. The FBI warned Twitter before the 2020 election of a Russian disinflation campaign. When the Post dropped the first Hunter’s laptop story, Baker repeatedly insisted via internal Twitter communications “that the Hunter Biden materials were either faked, hacked, or both, and a violation of Twitter policy,” Shellenberger said.

Baker was fired in December by Twitter CEO Elon Musk for his “possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue,” Musk tweeted on December 6. Musk’s statement appeared to reference Baker’s suppression of the “Twitter Files,” which revealed that Twitter violated the First Amendment and campaign finance law, according to Tucker Carlson. Puerto Rico Statehood Might Not Be a GOP Disaster Waiting To Happen

The island of Puerto Rico becoming a state might not lead to Democrats obtaining two additional senate seats, despite the party’s high hopes.

The U.S. House passed a bipartisan bill to put Puerto Rico’s territorial status up for a vote with three potential options: statehood, full independence, or sovereignty will full U.S. association. In a symbolic 2012 referendum, statehood received over 60% of the vote with the other two options included.

New York Democratic Reps. Nydia Velazquez and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have led the push for Puerto Rican self determination, which was included in the party’s 2020 election platform. Democratic proposals for Puerto Rico include large economic, education and climate plans for the island funded by the federal government.

In contrast, South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham said Puerto Rican statehood “dilutes our power,” referring to a Republican senate majority. Graham’s statement came during a Nov. 7 rally for GOP candidate Herschel Walker before the 2022 midterm elections.

“We assume that Puerto Ricans are democrats given the historical relationship between Puerto Ricans living in different States and the Democratic Party. But this is not necessarily true for Puerto Ricans on the Island. There’s never been a high-quality survey that measures Puerto Ricans’ ideology or their position on different issues so we can gauge what ideology they will lean toward once a state,” Mayra Velez Sarrano, a political scientist at the University of Puerto Rico told the Daily Caller. ‘Dem on Dem’ Drama Over FBI Headquarters Delays Omnibus Text Release

Senate Democrat disagreements over the future headquarters of the FBI have delayed the release of the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.

Senate Minority Leader John Thune (R-SD) described the conflict as a “Dem on Dem” issue. A source familiar told Roll Call that the FBI headquarters issue delayed the release of the omnibus bill and that House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) was involved in the negotiations.

Hoyer has long been a proponent of moving the headquarters of the FBI to Maryland.

Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Pat Leahy said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has tried to resolve the Democrat spat.

Leahy continued, saying that the release of the legislative text for the omnibus spending bill could happen on Tuesday instead of Monday. Lawmakers are rushing to finish the release and passage of the omnibus before Christmas and a winter storm later this week. Harvey Weinstein Found Guilty of Rape, Sex Assault

A jury found Harvey Weinstein guilty of one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault, both relating to the same person, at his trial in Los Angeles.

The guilty charges were for forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by foreign object of Jane Doe 1, an Italian model, at the Mr. C Hotel in the city in February 2013.

Three other women had also accused him of rape and sex assaults which took place between 2005 and 2013.

Weinstein was found not guilty of sexual battery by restraint of Jane Doe 3, a massage therapist.

On charges of sexual battery by restraint of Jane Doe 2 — previously identified as actress and screenwriter Lauren Young — and forcible rape and forcible oral copulation of Jane Doe 4, who has previously been identified as Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the jury was hung and could not deliver a unanimous verdict. A mistrial was therefore declared on those charges. (Read more from “Harvey Weinstein Found Guilty of Rape, Sex Assault” HERE)

Censorship’s Biggest Cheerleaders Will Always Be Our Corrupt Corporate Media

Twitter CEO Elon Musk suspended the accounts of more than half a dozen corporate media mouthpieces on Thursday evening for doxxing. But his intervention affecting the press, which has been taken over by the “woke mind virus” Musk has lamented, is only a Band-Aid over a gaping societal wound: an inherently anti-free-speech media establishment.

For years, Big Tech censors did the media’s dirty work without accountability or punishment. When the propaganda press cried wolf over ideologies it disagreed with, Big Tech dredged up new policies to justify nuking anyone who spread them. Together, media and Silicon Valley censors cashed in on the lucrative “fact-checking” machine as an effective way to rid the internet of their political enemies.

It was only when Musk nuked The New York Times’s Ryan Mac, The Washington Post’s Drew Harwell, leftist writer Aaron Rupar, CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, Mashable’s Matt Binder, Micah Lee of The Intercept, Keith Olbermann, and other accounts over the very clear issue of doxxing that members of the corporate media finally got a clue. . .

The absurd and unified reaction from the left’s propaganda arm is more than hypocritical considering the media’s unified treatment of Big Tech’s history of censorship.

While legitimate members of the press such as my colleagues at The Federalist are suspended and shadowbanned for speaking the truth, professional doxxers such as Taylor Lorenz run free. Instead of facing punishment like the New York Post did for allegedly sharing “hacked materials” — a designation the “Twitter Files” recently confirmed was a scapegoat to cover up the exposure of Biden family corruption — journos such as Lorenz, who unethically “exposed” a civilian’s private information, are granted tearful features by their accomplices about online bullying.
