“Tea Party” Pols sell out Tea Party
/5 Comments/in Updates /by Steve BaldwinIn March of 2011, former Rep. John Leboutiller predicted in a News Max article that, “the tea party will select the 2012 GOP nominee.”
At the time, it was a safe prediction given the strength of the tea-party movement in the 2010 elections and the influence it was expected to have on the GOP presidential primaries just over a year later. But something went terribly wrong in the meantime. Many politicians heavily supported by the tea-party movement seem to have switched sides, pursuing their own agenda at the expense of the conservative movement and the tea party.
Take Christine O’Donnell, for example. O’Donnell lost her bid for the U.S. Senate in Delaware but continues to have a following among tea-party activists. Inexplicably, she recently endorsed Romney, stating she is doing so because she thinks “infrastructure and executive experience are important.” She also claimed, “He’s been consistent since he changed his mind.”
One wonders if the $5,000 O’Donnell received in 2010 from Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC had any influence on her decision.
Similarly, the tea-party movement was heavily involved in the election of South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, but she endorsed Romney last month, claiming in her endorsement remarks, “He knows how to create jobs and turn the economy.” Haley also received some big bucks from Romney; to be precise, she took $36,000 from Romney’s various PACs over the last few years, more than any other gubernatorial candidate.

Former White House intern claims JFK was a sexual deviant
/3 Comments/in Updates /by Jessica Hopper[Former White House teen intern, Mimi Alford, claims that JFK asked her to perform sex acts with his friend Dave Powers at the White House. She complied and the President watched. She describes this and other perverse details in her NBC interview, scheduled to air Wednesday. Ms. Alford, now 68, was first publicly outed in 2003 when historian Robert Dallek wrote 37 words about an unnamed intern who had an affair with Kennedy. The New York Daily News then identified her by name.]
Mimi Alford is speaking publicly for the first time about the secret she’s held for half a century. Alford claims that she had an 18-month-long affair with President John F. Kennedy when she was a White House intern.
“I think when you keep a secret and when you keep silent about something, you do it because you think it’s keeping you safe, but in fact, it’s deadly,” Alford told Meredith Vieira in an exclusive interview scheduled to air Wednesday on NBC’s Rock Center with Brian Williams.
In 1962, a 19-year-old Alford spent her summer in Washington, D.C., interning in the White House press office. She had just finished her freshman year at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Four days into her internship, Alford claims that JFK aide, David Powers, invited her to go swimming in the White House pool. Alford was surprised when the 45-year-old president joined her and two others in the pool.
“It really didn’t seem unnatural, just because everybody was friendly and I went back to work afterwards,” Alford said. “No one said anything.”
Later that day, she says she received another call to visit the private floors of the White House. The naïve teenager didn’t question the president’s intentions when he asked to take her on a tour of the White House.

Supreme Court Justice: US Constitution Inferior
/35 Comments/in Updates /by Bob UnruhOne member of the U.S. Supreme Court, whose members are sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States, says she would look elsewhere – Canada, South Africa and Europe – should she be tasked with writing a constitution now.
The stunning statements come from Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
She was being interviewed by Al Hayat in Egypt, which is trying to develop a government after citizens deposed longtime dictator President Hosni Mubarack last year.
Egypt is facing major obstacles to a democratic form of government as the Muslim Brotherhood as a political party has been assembling a majority in the country. Among its goals is a Muslim caliphate worldwide.
She was asked: “Would your honor’s advice be to get a part of other countries’ constitutions as a model, or should we develop our own draft?

Obama the “Most Anti-Religion President in History”
/2 Comments/in Updates /by Martin Gould and Steve MalzbergPresident Barack Obama uses his faith “as a convenience” when it serves him, while at the same time being the most anti-religion president in history, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum charged in an exclusive Newsmax interview.
And by saying that Jesus would have called for higher taxes, Obama was completely misreading the bible, touted the staunch Roman Catholic father of seven.
“Over the last few weeks, he has done more to assault religion in this country than any president, certainly in recent history, maybe even in history,” said Santorum.
The former senator was talking a day after Obama used the National Prayer Breakfast to quote St. Luke’s Gospel that Jesus’ teaching of “Unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required,” should be interpreted to mean that Christ would have wanted the rich to pay higher tax rates.
“Jesus wasn’t talking to the government,” said Santorum. “He wasn’t talking that the government should take more from you.

Israel: Iran’s nuclear arms program is complete, its missiles can reach US
/8 Comments/in Updates /by Debka FileIran has completed the development of a nuclear weapon and awaits nothing more than a sign from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to start assembling its first nuclear bomb, said Israeli Military Intelligence Chief Major General Aviv Kochavi on Thursday, February 2. Assembling a bomb would take up to a year, Kochavi estimated. With 100 kilograms of uranium enriched to 20 percent grade and another 4 tons of uranium enriched to 3.5 percent already in stock, Iran would need another two years to make four nuclear bombs.
Therefore, by the end of 2012 or early 2013 Iran may have a single nuclear bomb, but by 2015 the figure would jump to four or five.
The officer was essentially amplifying the words of his predecessor, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amos Yadlin, who said on Jan. 26 that as long ago as 2007 or 2008, Iran had already passed the point of no return in developing nuclear weapons. Kochavi agreed with him that none of the sanctions imposed thus far had persuaded Iran to slow down, least of all shut down, its drive for a nuclear weapon.
His comments coincided with the findings published Thursday by the Enterprise Institute, an American think tank, that Iran would be able to manufacture a 15-kiloton nuclear bomb as soon as August of this year, just seven months from now.
Also Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon disclosed that the big blast at the Iranian missile base near Tehran last November blew up a new missile system with a range of 10,000 kilometers, capable of targeting the United States.

Controversial Artist Depicts Obama Trampling The Constitution
/10 Comments/in Updates /by Peter MiloIn front of the White House a man is sitting on a park bench in the throes of depression. He is surrounded by all 43 presidents. In the forefront, purposefully ignoring the depressed man is President Obama, whose right foot is stepping on the Constitution. James Madison is next to Obama, pleading with him to stop.
This tableau is called “The Forgotten Man”, a painting by Jon McNaughton, an artist who is known for his politically-charged work.
The painting, which uses objects such as discarded dollar bills as symbols and scraps of paper with individual constitutional amendments scrawled onto them, has been making the rounds across the Internet.
The painting was initially released in 2010 and has resurfaced, causing a stir when it appeared for a caption contest on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow’s blog.
The responses have ranged from sarcastic — “We’ll trade you this peasant for that constitution. We’ll even throw in the bench.” – to Photoshop works of art.

Obama: Jesus wants me to tax the rich to grow DC
/5 Comments/in Updates /by Charles RileyPresident Obama offered a new line of reasoning for hiking taxes on the rich on Thursday, saying at the National Prayer Breakfast that his policy proposals are shaped by his religious beliefs.
Obama said that as a person who has been “extraordinarily blessed,” he is willing to give up some of the tax breaks he enjoys because doing so makes economic, and religious sense.
“For me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’s teaching that for unto whom much is given, much shall be required,” Obama said, quoting the Gospel of Luke.
Obama wants to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire for the richest Americans, and he has embraced the idea that wealthy Americans should not be paying a lower effective tax rate than those in the middle or lower classes.
He has argued that those policies offer Americans a “fair shot” and increased equality, while implying that the policies favored by Republicans do not.

Pro-Family Leader: “Romney initiated what was perhaps the most aggressive effort in American history to advance gay rights”
/2 Comments/in Updates /by Steve BaldwinOver the last few weeks or so, various elements of the mainstream media have reported that, aside from gay marriage, Romney continues to support much of the gay agenda. He does not talk about his positions on gay issues but if questioned, he invariably comes down on the liberal side. Indeed, Romney has come out in support of allowing gays to serve openly in the military, “anti-discrimination” laws, domestic partnerships and gay adoption rights. Of course, all of these positions come at the expense of the constitutional rights of others, military morale, and what’s best for children, but Romney does not appear to care, yet he continues to portray himself as a social conservative.
For those familiar with Romney’s gubernatorial record, these stances are not shocking. He has always been a strong advocate for the homosexual agenda but many conservative groups, writers, and even talk show hosts have declined to write or talk about it for reasons that are mystifying. Indeed, Massachusetts pro-family leader Amy Contrada has written a 1,000-page book – Mitt Romney’s Deception –documenting in incredible detail the hundreds of actions and policies pursued by Governor Romney in support of the homosexual agenda. The book is a plethora of shocking information yet very few conservative writers will review the book.
Contrada’s book makes clear beyond any doubt that Romney initiated what was perhaps the most aggressive effort in American history to advance gay rights. He appointed gay judges, issued gay proclamations, gave a “parents of the year” award to a gay couple, funded gay school programs, promoted gay pride parades, gay proms, and much more. Additionally, Governor Romney aggressively and unilaterally implemented the Goodridge gay marriage decision even though the court never ordered him to do so. Moreover, he personally issued special “one-day” permits for 189 same sex couples to marry. So much for opposing gay marriage “at every opportunity” as his campaign claims he did.
Romney’s consultants are thrilled that much of this has been ignored by the media but with Romney on the verge of winning the GOP nomination, isn’t it about time all aspects of his record are analyzed? After all, his actual record will be far more indicative of how he will govern as President than are poll-driven campaign sound bites.
The Romney’s campaign has boasted of how he was a proponent of abstinence education while Governor, but when one researches his record, his abstinence program was watered down to the point of being useless, was placed in only a small fraction of schools and, as one Romney staff member stated, “did not replace comprehensive sex education.” In other words, they kept the Planned Parenthood “have-sex-with-anyone-for-any-reason” sex ed program intact. By this time, Romney knew he was running for President so it’s likely his phony abstinence program was designed to give him fodder for future campaign speeches.

ROMNEY’S CONNECTION TO SAUL ALINSKY
/4 Comments/in Updates /by Michael CarlPresidential candidate Newt Gingrich has frequently brought up President Obama’s fondness for the politics and methods of activist Saul Alinsky.
However, there is evidence presumptive Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney may have been influenced by the late 20th century, Chicago-based radical.
Political commentator Dan Riehl wrote on BigGovernment.com that the “toxic-to-conservatives” Alinsky effect has its roots in the former Massachusetts governor’s father, George Romney.
“The progressive Alinsky is infamous and actually toxic on the right,” Riehl wrote. “George Romney’s endorsement of him, coupled with his acknowledged strong influence on son Mitt, will do little to assure suspicious conservatives concerned about Mitt Romney’s record as a progressive, including his introduction of Romneycare in Massachusetts.”
Political journalist and analyst Andrew Kaczynski wrote in a recent edition of the Buzzfeed that the elder Romney met with Alinsky to find a way to deal with the problem of the urban poor.
