Bernie Can’t Name One Piece of Passed Legislation That Helps African Americans

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) seems to think he’s such a huge advocate for African Americans and the civil rights movement. There’s just one problem with his assessment: he’s been in Congress for more than three decades and he can’t name one piece of legislation that has passed that benefits minorities. But don’t worry. He supported Jesse Jackson when he ran for president in 1988, so, naturally, that means he’s fought for civil rights in America.

“So, I think I have a long history in civil rights activism. In 1988 I was one of the few white public officials who supported Jesse Jackson for President of the United States and he ended up winning Vermont,” Sanders told Charlamagne Tha God during an interview on The Breakfast Club. “I think if you look at my record, in terms of civil rights and other areas, you will find it is consistently a very, very strong work.”

Charlamagne asked Sanders, point blank, “Any legislation we can point to?” . . .

“Well legislation that, ah, benefits African-Americans, yeah we passed, but not specifically. We passed legislation that benefits working people, sure,” Sander responded.

Hillary Reveals Decision After 2020 Speculation

By Townhall. Former Secretary of State and two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has finally made up her mind on 2020. She’s decided she will not face off against President Donald Trump in 2020.

“I want to be sure that people understand I’m going to keep speaking out,” Clinton told Hudson Valley News 12. “I’m not going anywhere. What’s at stake in our country, the kind of things that are happening right now are deeply troubling to me. And I’m also thinking hard about how do we start talking and listening to each other again? We’ve just gotten so polarized. We’ve gotten into really opposing camps unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my adult life.”

‘I’m Not Running’: Hillary Clinton Rules out 2020 Bid for First Time on Camera

By Hudson Valley News 12. Hillary Clinton ruled out a 2020 presidential run for the first time on camera in an exclusive interview with News 12, pledging instead to take an active role by working with the candidates in the crowded Democratic field.

“I’m not running, but I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe,” she told News 12’s Tara Rosenblum.

In her first local TV interview since the midterm elections, the former first lady and secretary of state opened up about 2016, 2020 and beyond. She expressed deep concerns about the state of American politics today — and vowed to be vocal about those concerns. . .

Asked if she would ever run for elected office again, such as for New York governor or mayor, Clinton said, “I don’t think so, but I love living in New York and I’m so grateful that I had the chance to be a senator for eight years and to work with people across our state.” She added, “I care deeply about the future of New York and so, again, I’m gonna do what I can to help support candidates and causes that I think are continuing to make New York a better and better place.” (Read more from “‘I’m Not Running’: Hillary Clinton Rules out 2020 Bid for First Time on Camera” HERE)

CNN Analyst Compares Trump’s Call to Reclaim American Heritage to Hitler. But Look Who Said It First.

President Donald Trump, during a two-hour speech at CPAC Saturday, called for Americans to reclaim their national heritage.

“The men and women here today are on the front lines of protecting America’s interests, defending America’s value, and reclaiming our nation’s priceless heritage,” Trump said. “Right now we have people in Congress that hate our country, and you know that and we can name every one of them if they want. They hate our country.”

After the speech CNN analyst Samantha Vinograd took exception with Trump’s call to action.

Vinograd, who also works as a senior adviser at the University of Delaware’s Biden Institute and formerly served in the Obama administration on the National Security Council, compared Trump’s words to the ideals of Adolf Hitler. . .

During a speech at the 2011 Florida Democratic Party Convention, [Joe] Biden declared: “It’s time to fight back! It’s time to reclaim our heritage! It’s time — and we are ready!”

WATCH: Professor Shuts Down These Pro-Abortion Arguments

On Thursday, February 21, the University of North Carolina-Wilmington hosted a debate on abortion which featured “Christian abortion doctor” Willie Parker and UNCW criminology professor Mike Adams, PhD. . .

Adams asked the crowd to join him in a thought experiment regarding the ridiculousness of the notion of fetal “viability” as an argument for abortion:

Imagine that a woman is pregnant in New York City and she has a viable fetus. She is 22 weeks pregnant. If she gets on a plane and she flies to Bangladesh – guess what? That human fetus is no longer viable because viability in Bangladesh doesn’t occur until about 35 weeks. So let’s just assume she’s hanging out in Bangladesh, she doesn’t like it very much, so she decides that she’s going to come back to New York City. Are we actually going to suggest that she had a person there in her uterus in New York City, a non-person in Bangladesh, who, when returning the United States of America, became a person for the second time? It is absolutely absurd…

Adams provides an example of a time when something that was clearly immoral was legal in the United States in order to show that legality does not equal morality:

Let me remind you this evening, it is not about whether or not abortion is legal, it is about whether or not abortion is moral – and there is a profound difference between that which is legal and that which is moral. If you want to come up with an example – for example, Doctor Parker says you cannot murder a fetus, you can only murder a person. That’s a legalistic argument. But if you want to come up with an example in this country of something that was legal but immoral, think about the 1927 case of Buck versus Bell in which the state of Virginia was forcing women to be sterilized simply because they were mentally deficient. And in affirming that law in the state of Virginia, Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes said this, “Three generations of imbeciles are enough.” I want you to think about that for just a second – and that came back to bite us as that phrase was used against us in the Nuremberg trials a few years later. There is a distinction between the legal and the moral.

Huge Spider Drags Opossum Across Rainforest Floor in Haunting Footage

A dinner plate-sized tarantula with a big appetite preyed on a young opossum during a recent hunt in the Amazon rainforest — and the horrifying encounter was caught on tape.

Biologists at the University of Michigan (U of M) studied rare predator-prey interactions, particularly between arthropods and small vertebrates, over the course of a few years in the lowland rainforest located near the Andes foothills. They detailed 15 different predation events in a paper published in “Amphibian & Reptile Conservation” on Thursday.

“This is an underappreciated source of mortality among vertebrates,” Daniel Rabosky, an evolutionary biologist at U of M who leads a team of researchers to the Amazon rainforest about once or twice a year, said in an online statement. “A surprising amount of death of small vertebrates in the Amazon is likely due to arthropods such as big spiders and centipedes.”

The Michigan researchers captured footage and still images of battles between spiders, snakes, scorpions, ants, beetles, water bugs, among others. Many predators relied on paralyzing venom to trap their meal, while others used their large jaws to their advantage. . .

Upon reviewing footage of the rare occurrence, Robert Voss, a mammologist at the American Museum of Natural History confirmed that it appeared to be the first-ever documentation of “a large mygalomorph spider [tarantula] preying upon opossums,” National Geographic reports. MSNBC Host Makes Explosive Trump Impeachment Comment

Let’s be honest, we all knew this was coming. Democrats have been firing flares on this matter for months: they want to get President Trump. They want to impeach him. It’s what drove many new Democrats into power last election cycle. This party still cannot stand that he won the 2016 election. This impeachment business is what fuels the angry far left of the party; Democrats have to obey. Once they retook the House, we knew that investigations into the Trump White House would begin under the guise of accountability and oversight. In truth, any so-called oversight action by House Democrats should be treated as impeachment hearings. They’re already moving the goalposts on the upcoming report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is heading the DOJ’s Russian collusion probe. There’s a good chance that nothing earth-shattering is going to be in it. No solid evidence of Russian collusion; a nothing burger like no other. With this realization, Democrats have to keep the impeachment fires going, so enter Michael Cohen, who has been indicted for lying to Congress mind you. MSNBC’s Chuck Todd said Cohen’s testimony before Congress this week was unofficially the first Trump impeachment hearing (NTK Network):

NBC’s Chuck Todd said that the Michael Cohen hearing before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday was “the first unofficial hearing of the impeachment process” of President Trump.

Cohen trashed the president, but House Republicans rightfully slammed him as a pathological liar also ripped him apart. He’s someone without a scintilla of credibility. Still, some House Democrats think this hearing will be enough to keep the impeachment circus going:

WATCH: Ilhan Omar Makes Most Blatant Anti-Semitic Remarks of Her Career

By Daily Wire. Embattled Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) made arguably the most anti-Semitic remarks of her career on Wednesday night during a town hall event in Washington, D.C., claiming that her “Jewish colleagues” have devised a plan to silence her and that pro-Israel groups are making politicians loyal to Israel. . .

Omar has been under intense scrutiny from forces across the political spectrum for promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and using anti-Semitic tropes, which earned her condemnation from her own party.

“But at an event last night, Omar went much farther,” NYMag reported. “After an audience member shouted out, ‘It’s all about the Benjamins,’ at which she smiled, she proceeded to state, ‘I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay to push for allegiance to a foreign country.'”

“This is much worse. Accusing Jews of ‘allegiance to a foreign country’ is a historically classic way of delegitimizing their participation in the political system,” NYMag continued. “Whether or not the foreign policy agenda endorsed by American supporters of Israel is wise or humane, it is a legitimate expression of their political rights as American citizens. To believe in a strong American alliance with Israel (or Canada, or the United Kingdom, or any other country) is not the same thing as giving one’s allegiance to that country. Omar is directly invoking the hoary myth of dual loyalty, in which the Americanness of Jews is inherently suspect, and their political participation must be contingent upon proving their patriotism.”

In one exchange, Omar claimed without proof that her “Jewish colleagues” “designed” a plan “to end the debate” on Israel by accusing her of being anti-Semitic.

Oh, so This Is Why Ilhan Omar Fears Her Jewish Colleagues

By Townhall. The 2018 elections are over and crazy has been cranked up to 11 with the newest class of House Democrats. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has called on impeaching Trump, who she referred to as the “motherf**ker,” and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) who went off the rails against Elliot Abrams, Special Envoy to Venezuela, while also peddling anti-Semitic for years.

She also went off half-cocked with her conspiracy theory that the Trump White House is blackmailing Sen. Lindsey Graham(R-SC). Both women support the Boycott, Disinvestment, and Sanctions movement, which have long been accused of being anti-Semitic. And Omar has doled out anti-Semitism in her tweets, like saying Israel has hypnotized the world. And yet, she fears her Jewish colleagues of her criticism of Israel, being labeled ant-Semitic because she’s a Muslim. It’s not because you’re black or a Muslim, dear. It’s because you’re anti-Israel trash. . .

That’s why you’re being trashed, Omar—and rightfully so. Even Jewish leaders back in Minnesota are tired of her nonsense.

WATCH: Rashida Tlaib Suggests Mark Meadows Is Racist. He Flattens Her.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) slammed Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) on Wednesday for suggesting that he was a racist during the House Oversight Committee hearing of former Trump attorney Michael Cohen.

Tlaib’s accusation came after Meadows invited Lynne Patton, a top Trump housing official who is black, to attend the hearing in order to push back on any accusations that Trump was racist.

“Just because someone has a person of color, a black person, working for them does not mean they aren’t racist and … the fact someone would actually use a prop, a black woman in this chamber, in this committee is alone racist in itself,” Tlaib said as she took aim at Meadows.

“Meadows, a Trump ally and head of the conservative Freedom Caucus, immediately demanded a retraction,” The New York Post reported. “Getting emotional, Meadows said his nieces and nephews are people of color and he rejected any notion he’s a racist.”

Watch: Rep. Shatters Michael Cohen’s Credibility in Congressional Committee

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, tore into the credibility of former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, who was disbarred this week and will soon be entering federal prison, and the Democrats Wednesday morning during a public hearing before the House Oversight Committee.

“The first announced witnessed for the 116th Congress is a guy who is going to prison in two months for lying to Congress,” Rep. Jordan started.

The House Freedom Caucus member continued, pointing out that the hearing was arranged by infamous Clinton fixer Lanny Davis.

“This is the Michael Cohen hearing, presented by Lanny Davis … the Clintons’ best friend, loyalist, operative. Lanny Davis put this all together.”

In another series of questions, Jordan said that Michael Cohen is lashing out at the president because he wanted a job in the White House but failed to achieve employment inside the administration.

“You said all these bad things about the president there in that last 30 minutes, and yet you worked for him for 10 years? … If it’s that bad, I can see you working for him for 10 days, maybe 10 weeks, maybe even 10 months. But you worked for him for 10 years,” Jordan said.

“You didn’t get a job in the White House. And now you’re behaving just everyone else who’s got fired or didn’t get the job they wanted, like Andy McCabe and James Comey, same kind of selfish motivation …” Jordan added.

Cohen claimed he did not seek a job in the White House, but that claim was immediately struck down by several Trump insiders and media outlets. Donald Trump Jr. added on Twitter that Cohen “begged” to work in the White House:

Several news organizations confirmed that Cohen did indeed seek a White House gig:

Furthermore, in pointing out the hyper-political nature of the hearing, Rep. Jordan also pointed out that CNN published Michael Cohen’s opening statement even before the Oversight Committee received the transcript of his planned remarks.
