Watch: Hillary Caught Saying THIS About KKK Leader Back in 2010 – It Looks Terrible for Her

Despite mounting criticism for Donald Trump’s failure to disavow former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke’s support, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton once heaped praise for late Klan leader Sen. Robert Byrd.

In a video uploaded to the State Department’s official YouTube page on June 28, 2010, Clinton commemorated late Sen. Byrd by saying, “Today our country has lost a true American original, my friend and mentor Robert C. Byrd.”

When Byrd was 24-years-old, he joined the Klan because he was worried that during World War II, he might have to fight alongside “race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.” Bryd wrote those words in 1944 to Sen. Theodore Bilbo, a staunch segregationist.

In Clinton’s commemoration of Byrd, she failed to mention the senator’s ties to the Klan, instead she claimed, “Senator Byrd was a man of surpassing eloquence and nobility. And I will remember him for many things, but most of all, for a heartfelt comment he made to me in the dark days following the attack on our country on 9/11. My state of New York was reeling and we were scrambling to provide support and relief. ‘Think of me as the third senator from New York,’ he said. And he meant it. Thanks to the leadership of Senator Byrd, who chaired the Appropriations Committee, New Yorkers and Americans got the help we needed. I will never forget his devotion and his friendship in that critical time.” (Read more from “Hillary Caught Saying THIS About KKK Leader Back in 2010 – It Looks Terrible for Her” HERE)

Watch: People Noticed 1 Thing All the GOP Candidates Agreed On- It Might Worry Some Americans

By Randy DeSoto. All five Republican candidates side with the FBI over Apple in the stand off regarding gaining access to San Bernardino terrorist Syed Farook’s iPhone.

At the GOP debate in Houston on Thursday night all the candidates but Donald Trump were asked whether, as president, they would force Apple to comply with a court order to assist the FBI in gaining access to the cell phone.

As reported by Western Journalism, Apple CEO Tim Cook has claimed the FBI wants his company to create a “backdoor” into the phone’s operating system, which he argues would potentially compromise the security of all iPhone users.

The government has responded that it only wants the company to disable the self-destruct software, so investigators can use its tools to ascertain the password to gain access to the phone’s data.

Trump has called for a boycott of Apple until it complies with the court order. “We gotta get to the bottom of [the San Bernardino shooting], but we’re not going to get to the bottom of it unless we use common sense,” Trump said at campaign event last week. “So I like the idea of boycotting Apple until such time as they give that information – I think that’s a great idea.”

His four GOP rivals also stated that Apple should comply with the order. Sen. Marco Rubio noted at Thursday’s GOP debate that the phone did not even belong to Farook, but to the government. “[A]ll they’re asking [Apple] to do is to disable the self-destruct mode or the auto-erase mode on one phone in the entire world. But Apple doesn’t want to do it because they think it hurts their brand,” the senator said. Desperate Towel-Snapping as GOP Candidates Try to Take Down Trump

By Cathleen Decker. Desperation spoke, and loudly, at Thursday’s Republican presidential debate.

Acting as if they had just discovered reams of opposition research that had lain unnoticed, Donald Trump’s biggest challengers, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, knocked into the New York billionaire repeatedly, and he responded in kind.

The exchanges descended for long periods into a biting, interrupting, mocking locker-room-style smackdown, the sound of towel snapping replaced by shrieks from the partisan crowd.

The shock of the debate was not that Rubio and Cruz went after Trump, but that it took them until the end of February, after Trump had notched successive victories, to decide to take him on. The reality, however, is that Trump has rarely been hurt by debates, and it was unclear whether the tag team of the two senators was able to damage him meaningfully at this relatively advanced stage of the campaign. Watch: Rubio Caught Taking ‘Mystery Substance’ at Debate

Just what was that mysterious substance Marco Rubio popped into his mouth during the latest Republican debate on CNN?

While attention was focused on another debater, a video shows Rubio subtly slipping something out of his right pocket and popping it in his mouth . . .

Armchair analysts have suggested every possible pharmaceutical option imaginable (legal or illegal, addictive or otherwise), but, of course, no one will ever know except Rubio himself.

This is not the first time Rubio’s awkwardness on camera has been noted. He often takes heat for his verbal “short circuits” in which he repeats the same phrase over and over, earning him the moniker ‘Marco Roboto.’

Over a series of back-to-back interviews last Friday with ABC, CBS and NBC, Rubio called Donald Trump a “con artist” more than a dozen times. (Read more from “Watch: Rubio Caught Taking ‘Mystery Substance’ at Debate” HERE)

Watch: What Rubio And Cruz Were Caught Doing During Debate Commercial Break Has People Talking

By Jim Hoft. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz were caught shaking hands in front of Trump during a commercial break at last night’s CNN GOP debate.

The two freshmen senators took on front-runner Donald Trump last night at the CNN GOP debate.

Marco Rubio Mocks Donald Trump for ‘Wet’ Pants

By Tal Kopan. Riding high off a strong debate performance, Marco Rubio went after Donald Trump on Friday with new vigor — even mocking the real estate mogul for worrying that his pants were “wet” Thursday night at the CNN GOP debate.

The Florida senator spent the first roughly 10 minutes of his rally in Dallas, Texas, on Friday morning relentlessly attacking Trump, including reading off misspelled tweets and turning Trump’s attacks back on the reality TV star.

“He called me Mr. Meltdown,” Rubio said, smiling and saying that Thursday night during the commercial breaks, “he went backstage, he was having a meltdown.” (Read more from “Marco Rubio Mocks Donald Trump for ‘Wet’ Pants” HERE)

Watch: Trump Sat Down With CNN After Debate and Made Shocking Confession Many Didn’t Expect

During the debate, Donald Trump basically showed that he has no real idea of what judges do at all. Here he is, trying to tangle with Ted Cruz, bizarrely claiming that judges “sign bills.” Like they’re the President or Governors or something . . .

This is not “Trump isn’t a politician,” this is “Trump doesn’t understand Civics 101.” But what’s always interesting to me is to watch the candidates and their surrogates in the post-debate coverage, when their guard is let down a little bit. In this case, Trump was (irrationally) slamming Cruz again for John Roberts’ existence, and John King asked him, “How would you prevent the same thing from happening?” In other words, you’re being so critical of Ted Cruz, how would you make sure you didn’t repeat that mistake?

Trump’s answer was incredible. He said, basically, I have no idea. Watch: . . .

This is a pretty stunning admission from Trump – even setting aside the question of what “I’m very much into the world of legal and legality” even means. What Trump is saying here is that he, personally, has no idea whatsoever what he would do. He has no idea what questions he might ask of a judge. Watch: Cruz, Rubio Slam Trump on Health Care

By Oliver Darcy. Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz cross-examined 2016 rival Donald Trump on Thursday’s GOP debate stage, getting the billionaire businessman on record denying many of his former positions on health care.

“True or false: you said the government should pay for everyone’s health care?” Cruz asked Trump.

“That’s false,” Trump flatly said.

“You’ve never said that?” Cruz asked, seemingly surprised by the denial.

“I said it worked in a couple countries,” Trump quipped.

Watch What Happens When Rubio Repeatedly Demands Trump Lay out His Plan on Health Care

By Oliver Darcy. Marco Rubio turned a familiar attack often used against him into a weapon against Donald Trump Thursday night, accusing the billionaire of failing to have a comprehensive plan on health care and instead only robotically repeating one line when asked about the subject.

The confrontation happened when Trump was asked for his plan on health care by CNN debate moderator Dana Bash. The real estate mogul replied that he would “get rid of the lines around the states” which block competition between health care companies.

“But, just to be specific here, what you’re saying is getting rid of the barriers between states, that is going to solve the problem?” Bash passed.

“That’s going to solve the problem,” Trump insisted. (Read more from “Watch What Happens When Rubio Repeatedly Demands Trump Lay out His Plan on Health Care” HERE)

Watch: Protesters Threaten Conservative Student Group Over Pro-Life Flyers

Gettysburg College has established a “bias response team” after the Black Student Union threatened to hold a pro-life group accountable if the university ignored their demands.

The protest was organized in response to students in the school’s Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) chapter who distributed flyers on campus promoting pro-life ideals. One of the posters displayed a picture of a black child with the words “Let’s talk about race… Abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States #blacklivesmatter.”

Protesters gathered Tuesday afternoon in a university common area, standing on top of desks and tables, speaking one by one in retaliation of YAF’s demonstration . . .

Protesters argued that the statistics presented by YAF, which claimed that black women have more abortions because of an unequal access to healthcare, were false and inaccurate.

“She was taught from young age that her blackness does not belong to her, that she must shrink herself inward and make room for them to enter; break into her. But they will not shipwreck the wild geography of her body, YAF will not shipwreck the wild geography of her body. Her name is black woman and if you get close enough, you can almost taste the blood from centuries of forced entries of bastard babies, but YAF is too busy trying to kick what has already been beaten. Maybe black woman should nail herself to her dart board just to give YAF the opportunity to aim somewhere other than her heart,” one protester shouted through the speakers in the school’s common area. Speaker Ryan: ‘We Are Making Legal Preparations If the President Tries to Break the Law’ [+video]

President Obama “can try” to go around Congress in his attempt to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay Cuba, House Speaker Paul Ryan told news conference on Wednesday. “He has no authority to do so,” Ryan added.

Ryan reminded reporters that Congress voted overwhelmingly for the National Defense Authorization Act, which contains a provision saying the president may not move Guantanamo inmates to U.S. soil.

“We are making legal preparations if the president tries to break the law,” Ryan said. “And what boggles my mind, is that the president is contemplating directing the military to knowingly break the law.

“Our law is really clear, and by the way, Democrats wrote this law when they were in the majority, when they ran Congress, which is, these detainees cannnot come to American soil.

“So if the president proceeds with knowingly breaking the law and asking the military to break the law, he will be met with fierce bipartisan oppostion here in Congress, and we’re taking all legal preparations necessary to meet with that resistance. Carson: ‘I Think the Way That I Am Treated by the Left Is Racism’

GOP presidential candidate and retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson told Politico on Tuesday that he hasn’t experienced racism by Republicans and the last time he experienced real racism was by liberals.

“You don’t have to go too far. I think the way that I am treated by the left is racism,” Carson said when asked what was his last personal experience with racism. “They’re saying because you’re black you have to think a certain way, and if you don’t think that way, you’re an Uncle Tom. You’re worthy every horrible epithet they can come up with, whereas if I weren’t black, then I would just be a Republican.”

“You have an entirely unique perspective on these issues than a lot of Republicans. I mean you’re very much in the minority in the Republican Party on this,” Politico’s Glenn Thrush said during the “Off Message” podcast.

Thrush: “In terms of– we’ve seen major party candidates who’ve been African American before, but talk a little bit for me about what is it like in 2016 perhaps compared to previous generations of African-American candidates – even Herman Cain. What has that experience been like, and have there been any surprises?”

Carson: “First of all, I don’t find any particular problem being an African-American in the Republican Party. The people– I know that in the progressive side of things they like to say that the Republicans are racist, I know that. I haven’t experienced that.” (Read more from “Carson: ‘I Think the Way That I Am Treated by the Left Is Racism'” HERE)

Watch: Obama May Not Be Able to Replace Scalia After This Rare Footage Was Just Discovered

By Randy DeSoto. Video which recently surfaced of top Democrats talking about the Senate’s role in judicial appointments appears to hand Republicans game, set and match the debate whether Justice Antonin Scalia should be replaced this year.

C-Span tweeted video from 1992 on Monday of then Senator Joe Biden admonishing the Senate not to move forward on any potential nominees to the Supreme Court because it was a presidential election year.

“It would be our pragmatic conclusion that once the political season is underway — and it is — action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over,” Biden said in June of 1992. “That is what is fair to the nominee and essential to the process.”

“It is my view that if a Supreme Court justice resigns tomorrow, or within the next several weeks, or resigns at the end of the summer, President Bush should consider following the practice of a majority of his predecessors and not — and not — name a nominee until after the November election is completed,” the senator stated . . .

In 1992, Sen. Biden argued that not only should the Senate not vote on a nominee, it probably should not even go forward with a hearing in committee. “It is my view that if the president goes the way of Presidents Fillmore and Johnson, and presses an election year nomination, the Senate judiciary committee should seriously consider not scheduling confirmation hearings on the nomination until after the political campaign season is over,” he said. Supreme Court Holds First Session After Justice Scalia’s Death

By Pete Williams. Chief Justice John Roberts began Monday’s Supreme Court session — the first since Antonin Scalia’s death — with a tribute.

Roberts noted that the black drapery on Scalia’s chair and his spot on the bench “signifies a period of mourning the loss of our friend and colleague.” The seat will remain draped for roughly the next month.

It was a somber and emotional return to business for the court which is expected to hear 10 cases over the next two weeks, include a challenge to restrictions on Texas abortion clinics on March 2. Scalia’s unexpected death earlier this month brought the future of the court’s ideological makeup into sharp relief as a partisan showdown over his replacement on the bench looms.

Monday, however, was a day of reflection for the court . . .

Roberts noted — to laughter in the courtroom — that Scalia “argued his first and only case before the Supreme Court in 1976. He prevailed, establishing a perfect record before this court.” (Read more from “Supreme Court Holds First Session After Justice Scalia’s Death” HERE)
