On Thanksgiving week in 1954, NBC aired a holiday-themed “Father Knows Best” that ended with the family praying before their meal, including thanking God “for the privilege of living as free men in a country which respects our freedom and our personal rights to worship and think and speak as we choose.”

The Nov. 21, 1954 show featured the Anderson family: Jim and Margaret and their three children, Betty, Bud and Kathy.

In the program, the family decided to forgo a Thanksgiving meal because of scheduling conflicts. But in the end, the parents and children decide that sitting down to a Thanksgiving meal together is the best way to celebrate.

As the family sits around the kitchen table, the father leads the family in prayer:

“Oh Lord, we give thee thanks from the depths of our humble hearts for all the blessings thou has seen fit to bestow upon us. We thank thee for the food, which graces our table, the roof, which covers our head.” Read more from this story HERE.

Video: Hamas Summarily Executes Six “Israeli Spies,” Drags Bodies Through Gaza Streets Behind Motorcycles

Six men accused of being ‘Israeli spies’ were dragged through the streets of Gaza City and executed in front of a chanting mob today as Israel warned Palestinians to evacuate some areas of the territory in apparent preparation for a ground invasion.

Witnesses said the six were taken to an intersection in the north of the city where they were summarily shot for providing intelligence that helped Israel pinpoint key figures in Hamas and the Islamic Jihad targeted by their warplanes.

The names of the men are said to have been scrawled on the road after they had been questioned by Hamas security officials about who provided the ‘human intelligence’ necessary to pinpoint targets for ‘precision’ attacks that have 118 Palestinians – half civilians, including women and children, dead – in seven days of military operations.

Israel and Gaza’s militant Hamas rulers have staked tough, hard-to-bridge positions, and the gaps fuel the threat of an Israeli ground invasion. The content of the Egyptian plan is unknown, but both Israel and Hamas have presented conditions and Egyptian intelligence officials are meeting representatives from Israel and Hamas separately.

Israel demands an end to rocket fire from Gaza and a halt to weapons smuggling into Gaza through tunnels under the border with Egypt. It also wants international guarantees that Hamas will not rearm or use Egypt’s Sinai region, which abuts both Gaza and southern Israel, to attack Israelis.

Hamas wants Israel to halt all attacks on Gaza and lift tight restrictions on trade and movement in and out of the territory that have been in place since Hamas seized Gaza by force in 2007. Israel has rejected such demands in the past. Read more from this story HERE.

Restoring Liberty recently commented on a story about San Francisco’s proposed public nudity ban, saying that the city might be “experiencing a fit of sanity.” We were wrong.

In the footage below, you’ll see crowds of pro-Hamas demonstrators screaming profanities and reacting in other very uncivil ways to the Israeli-Gaza conflict.

A cameraman who films one young miscreant is cussed out and then, according to the You Tube editor, is “kicked karate style in the abdomen…”

The camera cuts to a scene where police officer are arresting the individual who continues to react profanely.

The YouTube editor states that the “crowd of Far Left and Muslim extremists was hyped up into hateful frenzy by anti-Semitic speakers.”

Treasury Secretary Geithner: Lift Debt Limit to Infinity (+video)

On Bloomberg TV, “Political Capital” host Al Hunt asked Geithner if he believes “we ought to just eliminate the debt ceiling.”

“Oh, absolutely,” Geithner said.

“You do? Will you propose that?” Hunt asked.

“Well, this is something only Congress can solve,” Geithner said. “Congress put it on itself. We’ve had 100 years of experience with it, and I think only once–last summer–did people decide to use it to threaten default on the American credit for the first time in history as a tool for political advantage. And that’s not a tenable strategy.”

I mean they got whiter and more male, and we now have a majority minority and female Democratic caucus – first time in history,” Debbie Wasserman-Schultz said Wednesday at a discussion hosted by the Emily’s List, a group known for supporting pro-abortion female candidates.

She said when women run for office, “Democrats win.”

There are a seemingly unlimited amount of conspiracy theories as to what happened on the cool November morning in Dallas nearly 50 years ago. The former girlfriend of Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who is widely accepted as President John F. Kennedy’s killer, is adding to the list.

In a new explosive memoir, Judyth Vary Baker argues that Oswald could not have murdered the 35th President of the United States in Dealy Plaza.

‘Lee Oswald was a hero,’ Ms Baker began, speaking at an Oregon bookstore earlier this week. ‘I’m here to tell you that when you find out who did it, you will understand more about who took over our country and why we are in the position we are in today,’ according to KVAL News.

The author, who lives abroad due to what she claims are safety concerns, is going on a limited tour this month and onto December to promote her book ‘Me & Lee: How I Came To Know, Love, And Lose Lee Harvey Oswald.’ She will also make several other appearances via Skype.

Ms Baker was a whiz-kid, carrying out complicated cancer research in New Orleans in the early 1960s at the age of 19. ‘I was assigned to make cancer more deadly,’ she told KVAL. ‘Can you imagine?’ She said that she met Oswald in 1963 during this internship working under Dr Alton Ochsner, the former president of the American Cancer Society and they became involved…

In her 600-page book, Ms Baker argues that her then-boyfriend was a deeply undercover intelligence agent who was actually trying to prevent Kennedy from being killed. She said that Oswald was framed for the murder, which she said he could not have committed from his sniper post at the Texas Book Depository. She told KVAL: ‘We have a lot of information that Kennedy was shot from the front,’ noting that the book depository was behind Kennedy’s motorcade.

Video: 82 Year Old Sentenced to Three Years in Prison Because His Dog Killed Neighbor’s Cat

An elderly man has been sentenced to three years in prison for allowing his dog to kill another family’s pet cat.

Hume Hamilton, 82, was caught on surveillance camera taking his dog for a walk near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in June.

He walked up a driveway to where a cat was apparently resting, and the dog was filmed suddenly attacking the cat.

Hamilton can be seen in the footage trying to separate the two animals by stepping on the cat, but he was unsuccessful.

He left the scene with his dog, and the cat later died of the injuries it had sustained in the assault.

The cat’s owner, Wayne Spath, told WSVN the pet was ‘part of our family’, adding: ‘My daughter found that cat as a kitten, had it for 12 years.’ Read more from this story HERE.

Video: Van Jones Praising the Tea Party?

According to former Obama Green Jobs Czar Van Jones, the Tea Party “is one of the most impressive citizen movements in the history of the country.”

Yeah, I did a double take on that one too. Although he described much of the criticism of the Tea Party as unfair, he went on to say that he believed the style and tone of the Tea Party has been offensive to women and minorities, even suggesting the grass roots movement had been chastised at the ballot box this election.

That being said, he also thinks that Democrats could work with the Tea Party? Not sure how that’s going to work, but take a look at the clip and draw your own conclusions.

If you haven’t had enough of Van Jones yet, watch him just a few months back calling Tea Party activists insane hostage takers who want to destroy America. Yep, he said it.

Video: ‘Investigative Journalist’ Warns Banksters: ‘Tonight We Will Pay, But Tomorrow We Will Slay’

(TheBlaze) Self-proclaimed “progressive investigative journalist” Greg Palast on Thursday night warned “banksters” on behalf of Occupy supporters, “tonight we will pay, but tomorrow we will slay.” He delivered his remarks at an event dubbed “The People’s Bailout,” a variety show and telethon to benefit the “99 percent.”

In addition to his very clever and thinly veiled threat, Palast explained that Republicans tried to “steal” the election this time around. Apparently, they did a very poor job of it.
