Trump White House to Democrats on Impeachment: We’re Not Cooperating, so Come and Get Us

By Townhall. The Trump White House is throwing down the gauntlet. They’ve had it. After three years of being under siege by the Democrats and their allies in the media, the Trump administration is done playing nice. No one from the administration is going to cooperate. In the meantime, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has declared the president will be held accountable. The White House flat-out told Democrats to go pound sound with their impeachment inquiry. . .

The letter is eight pages and outlines why this impeachment inquiry is a total circus. House Democrats executed this impeachment push based off of a July phone call Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where it was alleged in a whistleblower report that Trump had threatened to withhold military aid unless Zelensky opened a corruption probe into Hunter Biden. The transcript refuted all of that; there is no quid pro quo. The report is based on second-hand accounts. This person, who is reportedly a CIA agent and registered Democrat, never listened in on the call. They also worked with a 2020 candidate. Need I say more about the shoddiness of this attempt? It’s a witch hunt that is fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome of the most extreme sort (via The White House):

For example, you have denied the President the right to cross-examine witnesses, to call witnesses, to receive transcripts of testimony, to have access to evidence, to have counsel present, and many other basic rights guaranteed to all Americans. You have conducted your proceedings in secret. You have violated civil liberties and the separation of powers by threatening Executive Branch officials, claiming that you will seek to punish those who exercise fundamental constitutional rights and prerogatives. All of this violates the Constitution, the rule of law, and eve1ypastprecedent. Never before in our history has the House of Representatives-under the control of either political party-taken the American people down the dangerous path you seem determined to pursue.

Put simply, you seek to overturn the results of the 2016 election and deprive the American people of the President they have freely chosen. Many Democrats now apparently view impeachment not only as a means to undo the democratic results of the last election, but as a strategy to influence the next election, which is barely more than a year away. As one member of Congress explained, he is “concerned that if we don’t impeach the President, he will get reelected.” 1 Your highly partisan and unconstitutional effort threatens grave and lasting damage to our democratic institutions, to our system of free elections, and to the American people.

[…]

For the foregoing reasons, the President cannot allow your constitutionally illegitimate proceedings to distract him and those in the Executive Branch from their work on behalf of the American people. The President has a country to lead. The American people elected him to do this job, and he remains focused on fulfilling his promises to the American people. He has important work that he must continue on their behalf, both at home and around the world, including continuing strong economic growth, extending historically low levels of unemployment, negotiating trade deals, fixing our broken immigration system, lowering prescription drug prices, and addressing mass shooting violence. We hope that,in light of the many deficiencies we have identified in your proceedings, you will abandon the current invalid efforts to pursue an impeachment inquiry and join the President in focusing on the many important goals that matter to the American people.

Giuliani: No Administration Officials Will Testify or Provide Documents to Impeachment Probe Unless Adam Schiff Is Removed as House Intel Committee Chairman

By The Blaze. Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, said that he will not testify before House investigators as part of Democrats’ ongoing impeachment efforts against the president unless Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is removed as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and the House votes in full on taking up the impeachment probe.

In an interview with the Washington Post published Tuesday, Giuliani said that he wouldn’t appear before the House Intelligence Committee and “can’t imagine” Trump administration officials would do so either.

“The position I’m stating is now the position of the administration,” Giuliani told the newspaper. “I wouldn’t testify in front of that committee until there is a vote of Congress and [Schiff] is removed.”

The former New York City mayor referred a soon-to-be-released letter that the Trump administration has sent to Congress regarding the legitimacy of the impeachment inquiry. Reports about such a letter broke late last week. In the letter, the White House reportedly made the argument that it doesn’t have to cooperate with impeachment probe demands until the House formally votes to launch an inquiry.

The chairmen of the three House committees that have subpoenaed Giuliani have given him until Oct. 15 to respond to them, but he says he’s ready to challenge them on the summons. Second Ukraine Whistleblower Comes Forward; Attorney for Impeachment ‘Whistleblowers’ Actively Sought Trump Admin Informants

By The Blaze. The attorney representing the whistleblower who filed a complaint against President Donald Trump revealed Sunday that he is now representing a second whistleblower with “firsthand knowledge” of some of the allegations against the president.

Attorney Mark Zaid confirmed to ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos that the second whistleblower has firsthand knowledge of some of the allegations outlined in the first complaint. Like the first whistleblower, Zaid’s newest client is also an intelligence official. . .

The development is significant particularly because a second whistleblower could cast further doubt on Trump’s denials that he did anything wrong.

The New York Times first reported Friday that a second whistleblower was weighing whether to file his own complaint. According to the Times, the official had firsthand knowledge that corroborated information contained in the first complaint.

Zaid told the Washington Examiner on Sunday that the second whistleblower has not filed an official complaint because he “doesn’t need to.” Indeed, the Times reported that government officials who meet with inspectors general are “protected by federal law that outlaws reprisals.”

Attorney for Impeachment ‘Whistleblowers’ Actively Sought Trump Admin Informants

By Breitbart. Mark Zaid, the activist attorney representing the so-called whistleblower at the center of the impeachment movement targeting President Donald Trump, says he is representing a second so-called whistleblower who spoke to the Intelligence Community’s inspector general about Trump’s phone call with the Ukrainian president.

Missing from the avalanche of news media coverage about Zaid’s two anonymous clients rocking the nation’s capital is that at the beginning of Trump’s presidency Zaid co-founded Whistleblower Aid, a small nonprofit that blasted advertisements around D.C. actively seeking whistleblowers during the Trump administration.

Whistleblower Aid is heavily tied to far-left activist organizations and Democratic politics.

ABC News broke the story on Sunday about the existence of the second so-called whistleblower speaking about Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. (Read more from “Attorney for Impeachment ‘Whistleblowers’ Actively Sought Trump Admin Informants” HERE)

9-Year-Old Charged with First-Degree Murder in Illinois (VIDEO)

A 9-year-old child has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder, two counts of arson and one count of aggravated arson in connection with a mobile home fire that claimed the lives of five people in Illinois. . .

On April 6, a 1-year-old, two 2-year-olds, a 34-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman died of smoke inhalation from a home fire near Goodfield, Illinois, USA Today reported. Katrina Atwood, 27 at the time, survived, along with one of her children.

Now, authorities say, a 9-year-old is responsible for sparking the blaze, and should be held accountable for the deaths of the victims. According to the Woodford County coroner, the fire was set intentionally.

“It was a heavy decision,” Woodford County State’s Attorney Greg Minger told NBC News on deciding to move forward with prosecution. “It’s a tragedy, but at the end of the day, it’s charging a very young person with one of the most serious crimes we have. But I just think it needs to be done at this point, for finality.”

But proving that the accused child set the fire with the intent to kill could be a difficult task for the prosecution, juvenile defense attorney Gus Kostopoulos told the outlet. “Nine-year-olds don’t know that Santa Claus doesn’t exist,” Kostopoulos argued. “They don’t know people die and don’t come back to life. I don’t know if a 9-year-old can form intent to commit murder.”

New Poll: Here’s How Many Voters Say They Want President Trump Impeached, Removed from Office

Just over half of voters want President Trump impeached and removed from office, according to a Fox News Poll released Wednesday.

A new high of 51 percent wants Trump impeached and removed from office, another 4 percent want him impeached but not removed, and 40 percent oppose impeachment altogether. In July, 42 percent favored impeachment and removal, while 5 percent said impeach but don’t remove him, and 45 percent opposed impeachment.

Since July, support for impeachment increased among voters of all stripes: up 11 points among Democrats, 5 points among Republicans and 3 among independents. Support also went up among some of Trump’s key constituencies, including white evangelical Christians (+5 points), white men without a college degree (+8), and rural whites (+10). . .

A lot has happened since the July Fox poll on impeachment — namely, the launch of an impeachment inquiry in the House following allegations Trump improperly pressured Ukraine to investigate the Bidens’ dealings in that country. The 9-point increase in support for impeachment since July, however, doesn’t appear to be based solely on the latest allegations. To that point, more Democrats favor impeaching Trump (85 percent) than consider his call with Ukraine’s president an impeachable offense (76 percent). The same holds true among independents: 39 percent favor impeachment, while 30 percent describe the Ukraine call as impeachable.

The 4-in-10 voters opposing impeachment give a variety of reasons, including: Trump did nothing wrong (21 percent), it is politically motivated (20 percent), and don’t believe allegations (15 percent). Revealed: Bombshell Audio From Ukraine That Repudiates Impeachment Narrative; ‘Whistleblower’ Never Disclosed Contact With House Intel Panel to Inspector General (VIDEO)

By The Blaze. BlazeTV host Glenn Beck revealed explosive new evidence that unravels the official story behind the accusations that led to the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. . .

Beck relayed how Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau Chief Artem Sytnik appeared to be caught on audio bragging that he had helped Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

A quote from former Ukrainian state prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko explains the importance of the Sytnik recording.

“I don’t know how, but the Americans got an audio recording of Mr. Sytnik’s conversation,” Lutsenko says. “He is resting with his family and friends and discussing how he would like to help Hillary.” . . .

“Yep. I helped him, too. Not him, but Hillary. I helped her,” Sytnik says, according to a translation.

‘Whistleblower’ Never Disclosed Contact With House Intel Panel to Inspector General

By Breitbart. The partisan CIA officer behind a so-called “whistleblower” complaint about President Donald Trump’s telephone call with the leader of Ukraine reportedly did not disclose his communications with a House Intelligence Committee staffer to the Intelligence Community inspector general.

According to Fox News reporter Catherine Herridge, inspector general Michael Atkinson told lawmakers that he had “no knowledge” of the officer’s contacts with the House Intel panel aide. This week, a New York Times report revealed that the officer and staff member first discussed the allegations against the president before the inspector general received the complaint.

The Times reported that the staffer shared several of the officer’s claims with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA). The California Democrat is under fire for erroneously claiming in a recent interview that “we have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.”

“We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to,” Schiff told MSNBC contributor Sam Stein when asked if the two had ever spoken. “But I am sure the whistleblower has concerns that he has not been advised, as the law requires, by the inspector general or the director of national Intelligence just how he is supposed to communicate with Congress, and so the risk to the whistleblower is retaliation.” (Read more from “‘Whistleblower’ Never Disclosed Contact With House Intel Panel to Inspector General” HERE)

Scientists: Nuclear War Between These 2 Countries Would Unleash ‘Catastrophe’

A nuclear war between India and Pakistan would place the entire planet in jeopardy by unleashing a “climate catastrophe,” according to the American Association for the Advancement of Science. . .

The two nuclear-armed nations both claim predominantly Muslim Kashmir, and the territory is divided between them, with insurgents battling Indian forces for three decades. On Aug. 5, India’s Hindu-led government stripped Indian-controlled Kashmir of its statehood and divided it into two centrally governed union territories — Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. India has also flooded the region with additional troops that enforced a security crackdown and communication blockade.

“A nuclear war between India and Pakistan — which share a long history of conflicts — would not only result in 50 to 125 million direct fatalities but could jeopardize the entire planet, causing sharp drops in global temperatures and precipitation that could devastate the world’s food supply,” writes AAAS in a statement.

Kashmir has been at the center of a number of wars, border skirmishes and standoffs between India and Pakistan since 1947 when the two countries were formed from the partition of British India.

“The authors evaluated a simulated nuclear war scenario for the year 2025 between the two countries based on advice from policy and military experts,” AAAS wrote. “They find that if Pakistan attacks urban targets in 2025 with 150-kiloton nuclear weapons and if India responds with 100-kiloton nuclear weapons, smoke from burning cities would release 16 to 36 teragrams of black carbon into the atmosphere, blocking out sunlight and cooling the global surface by 2 to 5°C (3.6 to 9°F).” (Read more from “Scientists: Nuclear War Between These 2 Countries Would Unleash ‘Catastrophe'” HERE)

Report: Another ‘Whistleblower’ Takes Aim at Trump — This Time From IRS

An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) bureaucrat has filed a so-called “whistleblower” complaint claiming he received information that at least one Treasury Department political appointee moved to “improperly interfere” with the annual audit of President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence’s tax returns, according to the Washington Post.

The Post, citing multiple anonymous sources, cannot provide key details of the complaint due to privacy laws that prohibit the disclosure of details concerning tax return filings. The complaint’s existence was revealed in court filings earlier, though it failed to garner much public attention. Two Trump administration officials downplayed the complaint due to the fact that it is based on “hearsay” and suggested it could have been prompted by political bias.

Rep. Richard E. Neal (D-MA), who chairs the House Ways and Means Committee, received the complaint in July and claims it includes evidence of “potential ‘inappropriate efforts to influence’ the audit program.” . . .

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has disclosed to Neal that his office transmitted the complaint to the inspector general.

In June, the House Ways and Means Committee filed a lawsuit against the Treasury Department and the IRS in an effort to obtain President Trump’s tax returns. At the time, Neal said his panel doesn’t need to justify why lawmakers seek the president’s tax return information. The panel stated that the administration defied a subpoena for the records “in order to shield President Trump’s tax return information from Congressional scrutiny.” (Read more from “Report: Another ‘Whistleblower’ Takes Aim at Trump — This Time From IRS” HERE)

President Trump’s Biden-Ukraine Tweet Is Sure to Cause a Liberal Meltdown; Trump GOES OFF: ‘Biden and His Son Are Stone-Cold Crooked’

By Townhall. If there’s a reason why Republicans like Donald Trump, it’s because the man knows how to punch back. He’ll slap down liberal reporters to their faces. He’ll tweet. He’ll hold rallies. And all of this against insane odds. The Democrat-media complex is vast, well-financed, organized, and merciless. They control the cultural centers of the country. It’s an uphill battle, but Trump always finds a way to find a seam and get under the Left’s skin.

(Editor’s note: Twitter took down the photo – see below – even though Trump had modified it, bringing the photo squarely into fair use. Twitter virtually never does this to other public figures)

Trump GOES OFF: ‘Biden and His Son Are Stone-Cold Crooked’

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump criticized former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden on Wednesday, accusing them of corruption in Ukraine and China.

“Biden and his son are stone-cold crooked and you know it,” Trump said to reporters at the White House. “His son walks out with millions of dollars, the kid knows nothing, you know it and so do we.”

In 2013, Hunter Biden scored a $1.5 billion dollar investment deal with the Bank of China just days after traveling with his father to visit the country. Hunter Biden was also hired as a paid board member of Burisma Holdings in April 2014, earning up to $83,000 a month. . .

Trump demurred when reporters asked what he wanted Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky to do about Biden, during their phone conversation that was widely scrutinized after a whistleblower raised the alarm of the president discussing the topic.
