YouTube Shooter Was a Leftist, PETA Activist, Likely Motive Identified

By The Times of Israel. Gunfire erupted at YouTube’s offices in California Tuesday, leaving three people wounded and sparking a panicked escape before the suspected shooter — a woman — apparently committed suicide.

Two law enforcement officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, identified the suspect as Nasim Aghdam, a 39-year-old San Diego resident.

California news outlets late Tuesday said she appeared to be a vegan-themed content creator who has raged against YouTube on her personal website for what she saw as censorship of her videos.

“There is no free speech in real world and you will be suppressed for telling the truth that is not supported by the system,” read a post on a website identified as Aghdam’s by the San Francisco Chronicle . . .

Aghdam was quoted in a 2009 story in the San Diego Union-Tribune about a protest by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals against the use of pigs in military trauma training. She dressed in a wig and jeans with drops of painted “blood” on them, holding a plastic sword at the demonstration outside the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base. The Latest: Father Says Suspect Was Angry at YouTube

By ABC News. . . .The father of a woman suspected of shooting three people at YouTube’s headquarters says she was angry at the company because it stopped paying her for videos she posted on the platform.

Ismail Aghdam told the Bay Area News Group that he warned police his daughter, Nasim Aghdam, might be going to YouTube because she “hated” the company.

Ismail Aghdam said he reported his daughter missing on Monday after she did not answer her phone for two days.

He said the family received a call from Mountain View police around 2 a.m. Tuesday telling they found Nasim sleeping in a car and he warned them she might go to YouTube.

Mountain View Police spokeswoman Katie Nelson confirmed officers located a woman by the same name asleep in a vehicle asleep in a Mountain View parking lot Tuesday morning. (Read more from “The Latest: Father Says Suspect Was Angry at YouTube” HERE)

Meet the OTHER David Hogg; He’s 16, Already in College and Has a Message for the Anti-Gun Club

As Parkland student activist David Hogg runs laps with his media appearances touting gun control and attacking the Second Amendment, it seems his fame has had a direct effect on another student.

The mass shooting at his Florida high school in February catapulted Hogg to his new-found fame and increasing Twitter followers – now at over 720K – but also affected another David Hogg who decided to leave Twitter for a time . . .

But the social media attention on the Parkland Hogg became too much for the [conservative, pro-gun] 16-year-old who suspended his Twitter account after things got too overwhelming for him and his family. He announced his return last week, clarifying that he was not to be confused with the other Hogg.

Hogg’s mother echoed her son’s statement in a tweet of her own, calling out the irony of the Parkland student decrying bullying while engaging in the very act himself. Hogg launched a boycott against Fox News host Laura Ingraham after she tweeted that he “whined” about not getting accepted into some colleges . . .

“I do not think we should ban law-abiding citizens from buying guns because that will increase problems,” he said in the video, also calling for a “more regulated background check” and a national policy on gun ownership instead of state-by-state laws. Kyle Kashuv Calls out David Hogg by Revealing How He Spent Spring Break

In the aftermath of the Parkland school shooting, numerous students from the school have become public advocates for stricter gun laws in the U.S.

One of the most notable advocates to come from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is David Hogg, who hid with several other students as suspected gunman Nikolas Cruz roamed the high school and fatally shot 17 people.

Ever since Hogg became an outspoken advocate for gun control, he has been the subject of criticism by many of those who support the Second Amendment and gun rights, including Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

On Wednesday, Ingraham claimed in a tweet that Hogg, who is currently applying to colleges, was “whining” about several rejections letters he has received.

That comment sparked controversy, and eventually led into a back-and-forth between the Fox News host and Hogg, who called for sponsors of Ingraham’s show to boycott it altogether.

Ingraham eventually apologized, saying that it wasn’t her intention to “hurt” the “brave victims of Parkland,” including Hogg.

Despite the apology, multiple sponsors did end up dropping Ingraham’s show. Then, on Friday, Ingraham announced she would be taking the next week off.

That prompted a snide comment from Hogg, who tweeted, “Have some healthy reflections this Holy Week.”

But fellow Parkland survivor Kyle Kashuv wasn’t having any of it. In a tweet of his own, he indicated that Hogg was “spending your entire spring break trying to ruin a cancer survivor’s career who is a single mother of 3 adopted children from foreign countries.”

“Dude, this is just sad,” he concluded.

Ingraham was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, and since recovering, has always been adamant about being called a “thriver” rather than cancer “survivor.”

The Fox News host also adopted her daughter Maria from Guatemala, and has two sons from Russia — Dmitri and Nikolai. Ingraham is an avid supporter of both international and domestic adoption.

However, despite Ingraham’s apology and the road that has led her to become one of the most-listened-to women in political talk radio, Hogg argued that things in America are changing and the younger generation is a big part of this change — no matter who they’re up against.

“I think it’s great that corporate America is standing with me and the rest of my friends,” Hogg told CNN regarding the advertiser boycott of Ingraham’s show. “When you come against any one of us — whether it be me or anybody else — you’re coming against all of us.” (For more from the author of “Kyle Kashuv Calls out David Hogg by Revealing How He Spent Spring Break” please click HERE)

Why Kids Become Killers (Hint: It’s Not Guns)

. . .The absurdly politicized debate over core causes and prevention strategies generates far more heat than light. Liberals blame guns, the National Rifle Association and Republicans, while conservatives blame fatherlessness, godlessness and gun-free zones. But just as with most other life-and-death issues plaguing today’s painfully divided America, true consensus as to causes and cures always seems out of reach . . .

Before even delving into all the powerful factors involved, Whistleblower starts by documenting something overlooked by almost everyone – the tremendous copycat nature of the mass-killer phenomenon.

Citing recent research, including the peer-reviewed study “Contagion in Mass Killings and School Shootings,” Whistleblower reveals that many mass shooters are utterly mesmerized by previous mass murderers, including Sandy Hook killer Adam Lanza who researched multiple-fatality shootings going back to 1891 and maintained a wall of infamous shooters . . .

Whistleblower also explodes the myth that ultra-violent videogames don’t desensitize, corrupt and even serve as training for mass shooters. President Trump was correct when, following February’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida, he said he’s “hearing more and more people say the level of violence on video games is really shaping young people’s thoughts.” . . .

Despite what is heard from much of the news media today, the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights absolutely guarantees Americans’ right to keep and bear arms, says LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association. Americans have a right to own firearms for the defense of their family and home. They have a right to own firearms for hunting, shooting or collecting. And they even have a right to own firearms to break the chains of tyranny, if necessary. America’s Founding Fathers said it, the Constitution they gave us guarantees it, America’s courts affirm it, and her laws protect it. WATCH: Hilarious Black Rifle Coffee Guys Imagine a Conservative ‘Coming Out’

The creative team behind Black Rifle Coffee released released a hilarious new video on April Fools’ Day imagining what could happen when a conservative “comes out” to his liberal family.

Needless to say, this “progressive” family isn’t welcoming of their son’s conservative “lifestyle” and his support for the Second Amendment. You could say they explode.

Check it out:

“It’s amazing how violent people get when you’re just trying to articulate an opposing viewpoint,” the conservative character says at the end.

In “tolerant” places like Hollywood, coming out as a conservative or as a Republican is more shocking than coming out as gay. Conservatives are routinely discriminated against for their viewpoints. More Than a Dozen Companies Boycott Laura Ingraham — but It’s Already Backfiring Big Time

More than a dozen companies that sponsored Fox News host Laura Ingraham have bailed on her in a boycott initiated by high school student David Hogg and orchestrated by the far-left. . .

The companies boycotting Ingraham are mostly major household names, including Office Depot, Gerber, Hulu, Honda, Johnson and Johnson, among others. As of Sunday afternoon, the list has swelled to 17 companies.

It’s not clear exactly why the companies chose to remove their advertising from Ingraham’s show other than the fact that far-left groups were applying pressure, but it may not end well for those that caved.

That’s because conservatives and loyal Fox News viewers are using the power of the dollar to fight back. In response to the boycott, hundreds, possibly thousands, of people have vowed to disassociate themselves and their hard earned money from companies that have caved to the liberal mob.

People, using the hashtag “#IStandWithLaura,” posted their commitments to social media while others encouraged the counter-boycott.

Why I Believe in the Resurrected Christ

In our “enlightened” scientific era, many people express disdain for a belief system founded on a Man who was raised from the dead. This is especially true of younger generations in this country whose lack of faith has reached an all-time high.

Why have many younger Americans rejected Christianity? There are a number of factors ranging from near-consistent negative portrayals of Christians in Hollywood to an educational system hostile to faith. Science seems to hold all the answers.

Not so fast, I say. What if this Man who claimed to be the exclusive “Way, the Truth, and the Life” was brutally crucified and then miraculously raised from the dead days later? That wouldn’t fit very well with the secularists’ worldview, would it? But the evidence surrounding His resurrection is, as a judge might put it, “beyond all reasonable doubt.”

My family and I were privileged to visit the Holy Land a few years ago. Before arriving in Israel, we stopped at the Vatican just several days after Pope Benedict XVI resigned. We visited the final resting place of Peter’s bones, interred after his upside down crucifixion for refusing to deny Christ.

Of course, it wasn’t just Peter who died a terrible death rather than denying Christ; it was also all but one of his fellow apostles who were direct witnesses to Jesus’ resurrection. According to several accounts, Thomas died after being speared; Matthew was killed by a sword; James (the lesser) was thrown off the temple in Jerusalem and then clubbed to death; the other James was killed by a sword; Andrew was bound to a cross; Bartholomew was beaten and beheaded; Jude, Philip, and Simon were all crucified; Mark died after being drug by horses; and Luke was hung.

The apostles all claimed they saw Jesus resurrected after His brutal scourging and crucifixion. Paul, a Jewish Roman citizen who viciously persecuted Christians before his radical transformation by Christ on the road to Damascus had this to say:

And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. 1 Cor. 15:14-15 NLT

After Christ’s resurrection, these apostles moved rapidly throughout the world, spreading the Gospel like wildfire from India to Africa and throughout Europe. Then, rather than denying Jesus, they each suffered horrific deaths, the ultimate proof of what they had seen.

Eyewitness testimony like this is ironclad. But it’s not just the apostles’ dying declarations that allow us to put our faith in Christ’s resurrection; it’s the power of the Resurrection working within us, changing our hearts, and moving us forward in His will, no matter the cost.

Lesbian Couple Drives Entire Adopted Family off California Cliff

By The Daily Mail. The lesbian mothers who died on Monday along with at least three of their six adopted children after plunging 100ft over a coastal cliff in California had been reported to Child Protective Services days earlier for allegedly starving their kids.

On Friday, neighbors of Jennifer and Sarah Hart, both 39, called CPS to report that their son Devonte had come to their home asking for food every day for a week.

They said Devonte – who made national headlines when he was pictured hugging a police officer during a 2014 protest – asked them to leave food out in a box for him and said his mothers were ‘punishing’ him by not feeding him. . .

On Friday, a CPS worker arrived at the home and knocked on the door, according to the neighbors Bruce and Dana DeKalb, but the Harts never answered.

Instead, they packed up in a hurry and fled with all six kids in their 2003 GMC Sierra truck, they said. (Read more from “Lesbian Couple Drives Entire Adopted Family off California Cliff” HERE)

Family of 8 That’s Feared Dead After SUV Plunged off Cliff Had Troubled Home Life, Neighbors Say

By The Washington Post. What happened to the Hart family Monday is almost unimaginable: Their SUV plunged off a Pacific Coast Highway cliff, crashing onto the rocky coast 100 feet below.

Some things are certain, according to authorities. The married couple, Jennifer Jean Hart and Sarah Margaret Hart, both 38, were killed. So were three of their six adopted children: Martin, 19; Abigail, 14; and Jeremiah, 14.

But much remains unknown, including the fates of the Harts’ three other children — Hannah, 16; Devonte, 15; and Sierra, 12. They are feared dead; authorities say they have “every indication to believe” that all six children were in the family’s 2003 GMC Yukon when it drove off an ocean overlook near Mendocino, Calif., about 150 miles north of San Francisco . . .

The visit is part of a troubling narrative about what went on inside the Harts’ home. Court documents show that in 2011, when Sarah Hart lived in Minnesota, she was convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault. In Woodland, some of the Harts’ neighbors were concerned about the children’s well-being. Here’s What Happened to Laura Ingraham’s Ratings After the Hogg Controversy

By The Blaze. According to the San Francisco Gate, Ingraham lost 6 percent of total viewers from Wednesday to Thursday, and 9 percent in the key demo of Americans aged 25 to 54.

Ingraham had 2.152 million total viewers on Thursday, down 137,000 from 2.289 million on Wednesday. This allowed MSNBC’s progressive program from Lawrence O’Donnell to steal the top spot from Ingraham in overall viewers.

Although she saw a decline in ratings overall and was overcome by MSNBC, Ingraham can console herself by knowing her show hasn’t sunk below CNN’s viewership which came in at third with only 839,000 total viewers.

Ingraham’s show has been struck with a boycott by those who were offended at her mockery of David Hogg over his not being accepted into the colleges of his choice. Hogg called for a boycott, after which Ingraham apologized for her comments. (Read more from “Here’s What Happened to Laura Ingraham’s Ratings After the Hogg Controversy” HERE)

Laura Ingraham Announces Vacation Amid Advertiser Boycott

By CBS News. Fox News’ Laura Ingraham announced Friday she would be taking a vacation the next week to celebrate Easter with her family as advertisers have dropped her show after she criticized a Parkland school shooting survivor. Her supporters have launched the hashtag #IStandWithLaura.

In April 2017, embroiled in an advertiser boycott, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly announced he would be taking vacation for Easter. He was later fired by the network.

Eleven companies so far have withdrawn their ads from Ingraham’s Fox News program after she feuded with a survivor of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting over Twitter. The Atlantis, Paradise Island resort; Office Depot, Jenny Craig, Hulu, Nutrish, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Wayfair, StitchFix, Nestlé and Johnson & Johnson said they would pull ads from the show. Fact Check: Here’s Who Really Marched to Outlaw Guns

By The Blaze. The media narrative is wrong again. Based on survey research from the March for Our Lives, the Washington Post says the crowd of anti-gun protesters was not mostly young people . . .

Despite the perception that teens are leading this push for gun control, the average adult in the March for Our Lives crowd was around 49 years old.

The research team uses a system of going through the crowd to sample every fifth person at certain increments with the event area. For the March for Our Lives, the researchers collected information from 256 randomly selected people.

Glenn’s take:

“It was 90 percent [older people] and you never saw that represented on TV. You’ve only seen the young people,” Glenn said. “How do you shoot around an audience that is 90 percent middle-aged?”

Report: Only 10 Percent of D.C. March for Our Lives Protesters Were Under 18

By Washington Free Beacon. Only about a tenth of participants in the March for Our Lives rally in Washington D.C. over the weekend were actually minors, according to a sociology professor’s analysis.

University of Maryland professor Dana R. Fisher has been surveying rallies and protests in the nation’s capital since Donald Trump’s inauguration in preparation for an upcoming book on the “Resistance” to the president. In a Washington Post analysis published Wednesday, she detailed how she randomly sampled 256 attendees of the gun-control rally . . .

Fisher found that the march did manage to draw in a higher-than-average percentage of first-time protesters, about 27 percent. But of those first-timers, only 12 percent said they were motivated by the issue of gun control, with over half saying they were motivated by Trump or “peace” in general.
