SEAL Who Killed Bin Laden Puts ‘out of Control’ Anti-Gun Kids in Their Place

The former Navy SEAL, whose more than 400 missions included putting the fatal shot in the head of terrorist Osama bin Laden, addressed the topic of gun control this week–criticizing student activists who advocate restricting firearm ownership in the wake of last month’s school shooting in Florida.

. . .

The demands of teenage activists have regularly included banning the AR-15 and other semiautomatic rifles, as well as raising the firearm purchase age to 21 and expanding background checks.

O’Neill’s comment about kids telling “sensible gun-owners how many rounds they need” appeared to be a response to a Democrat-sponsored bill introduced Monday that would require background checks for purchasing ammunition . . .

The legendary Navy SEAL responded to a Twitter user who said he shouldn’t criticize Parkland survivors because he has never been “what they went through.”

The veteran wasn’t alone in taking aim at the gun control movement.

Student Calls Mike Pence ‘Anti-Gay’ — His Response Is Pure Class

By The Daily Caller. A student planning an LGBT march recently called Vice President Mike Pence “openly anti-gay” — but Pence’s response was pure class . . .

Pence’s spokeswoman Alyssa Farah said in a statement, “Vice President Pence commends Erin Bailey for her activism and engagement in the civic process.”

“As a proud Hoosier and Columbus native, he’s heartened to see young people from his hometown getting involved in the political process.” (Read more from “Student Calls Mike Pence ‘Anti-Gay’ — His Response Is Pure Class” HERE)

High School Student Organizes First Pride Celebration in Mike Pence’s Hometown

By Huffington Post. A high school senior is organizing the first LGBTQ Pride festival in downtown Columbus, Indiana, the hometown of Vice President Mike Pence.

“I am organizing Columbus Pride Festival because I feel it is important for members of the LGBTQ community to know that Columbus is a welcoming and diverse community,” Erin Bailey, a senior at Columbus Signature Academy-New Tech, told HuffPost. “Even though Mike Pence is openly anti-gay, that doesn’t mean that all of us in his hometown are.”

The 18-year-old is planning the April 14 event as a part of a school project she began last year.

Samantha Aulick, a Columbus resident who is also helping Bailey organize the event, said her wife has lived in Columbus for more than 40 years and has never participated in a Pride event there. “We live in a conservative community that may actually be the most liberal in Indiana,” said Aulick, who operates the only LGBT Business Enterprise in their community, Artisan Foodworks. “But it is still Indiana and what created Mike Pence.” (Read more from “High School Student Organizes First Pride Celebration in Mike Pence’s Hometown” HERE)

Teacher Who Questioned Student Walkout Reveals Something That’s Gonna Give School District a Headache

In an interview Tuesday with Tucker Carlson, Julianne Benzel, an AP American History teacher in Sacramento who was put on paid leave for raising questions about the student gun control walkout, mentioned a development that is sure to stir things up in the district.

After giving Carlson a summary of the rather stunning sequence of events surrounding her temporary suspension and rapid reinstatement, Benzel revealed that a student had decided to test whether or not the school had a “double standard” when it comes to causes it officially endorses. The student has petitioned the school to allow him and others to walk out to protest abortion.

The student’s decision to organize a pro-life walkout was in part inspired by the very question that triggered administrators to initially put Benzel on paid leave. As Benzel described in an interview with The Daily Wire, in her classes on Thursday and Friday before National Walkout Day, Benzel asked her students to consider if it is wise policy for the school to allow students to walk out for a political cause. By backing a gun control demonstration, does the school now have to back a pro-life demonstration? Benzel asked students to consider the ramifications and encouraged them to discuss the issue with their parents.

2020 Census Will Include Citizenship Question and One State in Particular Is Freaking Out

By Bizpac Review. The “sanctuary state” of California plans to file a lawsuit to block the Trump administration’s move to include a question about citizenship on the 2020 Census.

“Including a citizenship question on the 2020 census is not just a bad idea — it is illegal,” California attorney general Xavier Becerra claimed on Twitter.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the citizenship question is necessary to obtain “complete and accurate data” about voter makeup in the country. He explained in a letter:

“The decennial census is mandated in the Constitution and its data are relied on for a myriad of important government decisions, including apportionment of Congressional seats among states, enforcement of voting rights laws, and allocation of federal funds. These are foundational elements of our democracy, and it is therefore incumbent upon the Department and the Census Bureau to make every effort to provide a complete and accurate decennial census.

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the question should be included in the 2020 Census to stem voter fraud and to better appropriate federal funding to states. (Read more from “2020 Census Will Include Citizenship Question and One State in Particular Is Freaking Out” HERE)

2020 Census Will Ask About Respondents’ Citizenship Status

By NPR. The U.S. Commerce Department announced late Monday that it will restore a question about citizenship to the 2020 census questionnaire.

In an eight-page memo Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross says the Justice Department has requested that the census ask who is a citizen in order to help determine possible violations of the Voting Rights Act, to help enforce that law . . .

The last time a question about citizenship was included in the census questionnaire was 1950. Such a question is posed in the annual American Community Survey which covers about 3.5 million people . . .

And, Democratic Rep. Grace Meng of New York issued a statement: “I am deeply disappointed with Secretary Ross, and I will now look to introduce legislation to stop this question from being included on the census.”

As Hansi reported in January, civil rights groups dispute the Justice Department’s need for the data from a citizenship question to help enforce the Voting Rights Act. (Read more from “2020 Census Will Ask About Respondents’ Citizenship Status” HERE)

Why Did It Take Two Weeks to Discover Parkland Students’ Astroturfing?

“Can you believe these kids?” It’s been a recurring theme of the coverage of the Parkland school shooting: the remarkable effectiveness of the high school students who created a gun control organization in the wake of the massacre. In seemingly no time, the magical kids had organized events ranging from a national march to a mass school walkout, and they’d brought in a million dollars in donations from Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney. . .

In other words, the response was professionalized. That’s not surprising, because this is what organization that gets results actually looks like. It’s not a bunch of magical kids in somebody’s living room. Nor is it surprising that the professionalization happened right off the bat. Broward County’s teacher’s union is militant, and Rep. Ted Lieu stated on Twitter that his family knows Parkland student activist David Hogg’s family, so there were plenty of opportunities for grown-ups with resources and skills to connect the kids.

On Twitter, I lost track of the number of bluechecks rhapsodizing over how effective the kids’ organizational instincts were. But organizing isn’t instinctive. It’s skilled work; you have to learn how to do it, and it takes really a lot of people. You don’t just get a few magical kids who’re amazing and naturally good at it.

The real tip-off should have been the $500,000 donations from Winfrey and Clooney. Big celebrities don’t give huge money to strangers on a whim. Somebody who knows Winfrey and Clooney called them and asked. But the press’s response was to be ever more impressed with the kids.

For two weeks, journalists abjectly failed in their jobs, which is to tell the public what’s going on. And any of them who had any familiarity with organizing campaigns absolutely knew. Matt Pearce, of the Los Angeles Times, would have been ideally placed to write an excellent article: not only is he an organizer for the Times’s union, he moderated a panel on leftist activism for the LA Times Book Festival and has the appropriate connections in organizing. Instead, he wrote about a school walkout, not what was behind it. (Read more from “Why Did It Take Two Weeks to Discover Parkland Students’ Astroturfing?” HERE)

Vegans Protesting Against Restaurant Are Horrified at Owner’s Revenge – and There’s Video

By The Blaze. Vegan animal activists were shocked at how a restaurant owner got revenge against them for protesting his business for weeks – and they recorded their own horrified reaction . . .

On Friday, animal rights activists were protesting Antler, a restaurant specializing in “local seasonal and wild foods” including boar, duck and deer. It was their fourth protest targeting the restaurant.

But one of the co-owners turned the tables on them when he whipped out a deer leg and started butchering it on a table in full view of the vegan protesters.

Michael Hunter, who is also a chef, “brought out an entire animal leg and started cutting it up right in the window on a table reserved for diners,” according to the protesters.

“Once the deer was cooked Michael Hunter, owner of Antler, sat back down at the window to eat the dead deer,” said one of the protest organizers, who opined that he was taunting them with his carnivorous ostentatiousness. Toronto Restaurant Shocks Vegans Protesting Meat

By Blogto. At one point, a couple of police officers arrive and go into the restaurant. They are seen speaking to Hunter as he continues to prepare the meat.

After about a minute, Hunter packs up his tools and meat. Both he and the police officers are then seen smiling as they walk away.

“I’m not sure if the police were telling the owner to stop for trying to anger the protestors, or for ethical or health & safety violations,” said Goldberg. “I just think this is very disturbing.”

When asked about the protest, Antler said by email that “our identity as a restaurant is well known throughout the city as is our ethical farming and foraging initiatives.”

“While we would much rather not be the focus of these protests, we are not at all surprised,” said Hunter. (Read more from “Toronto Restaurant Shocks Vegans Protesting Meat” HERE)

Color Me Shocked, Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Utters the One Sentence All Trump Supporters Were Waiting to Hear

By Bizpac Review. Michael Avenatti, the attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, said on “CBS This Morning” Wednesday that his client would be willing to accept a settlement in her lawsuit, which seeks to void a 2016 nondisclosure agreement regarding her alleged affair with President Trump.

“If they came to you with a settlement in this case, would you accept it?” co-host Anthony Mason asked.

“I think we would consider it, I would converse with my client,” Avanatti replied. “It would depend on the terms of a settlement. But at this point, I don’t see how the case gets resolved short of the truth coming out.”

Responding to Gayle King’s question about whether the lawsuit is “politically motivated” and an effort to “embarrass” the president, the attorney said:

“It’s just simply not true. I’m not involved in politics. I’m representing my client. The president and [Trump lawyer Michael] Cohen are the ones that have spread half-truths and falsities about my client.

Daniels’ Spurs Settlement Talks After Filing Request to Depose Trump

By Newsweek. Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti said in an interview with CBS This Morning that he and his client would consider a settlement in their lawsuit against President Donald Trump and attorney Michael Cohen —but both would prefer for “the truth to come out.”

“I think we would consider it. I would converse with my client,” the adult film star’s lawyer said Wednesday. “It would depend on the terms of a settlement. But at this point, I don’t see how the case gets resolved short of the truth coming out.”

Avenatti’s discussion of a potential settlement comes on the same day the attorney filed a formal request to depose Trump and Cohen about the $130,000 paid to Daniels in October 2016. The hush agreement was made in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair she had with the business mogul in 2006-2007.

“We’re only getting started,” Avenatti told CBS This Morning host Gayle King. He also accused Cohen of “thuggish behavior” and using “intimidation tactics” to “step on little people.”

“Mr. Cohen and the president better be very careful what they come out and state regarding my client,” said Avenatti, who has been going from talk show to talk show to discuss the case. (Read more from “Daniels’ Spurs Settlement Talks After Filing Request to Depose Trump” HERE)

Melania’s Response to Stormy Daniels’ ‘Salaciaous Gossip’ Is Every Bit as Classy as You Would Expect

By Bizpac Review. . .Melania Trump spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham responded on behalf of the First Lady to allegations that President Trump had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels in 2006, writing that the Slovenian-born former model is “focused on being a mom,” NBC News reports.

The First Lady notably stayed out of the fray. Grisham told NBC News “She’s focused on being a mom and is quite enjoying spring break at Mar-a-Lago while working on future projects.”

In a tweet, Grisham, likely alluding to Stormy Daniels’ Sunday night interview on “60 Minutes,” reproved the mainstream media for its coverage of “salacious gossip” and asked journalists to keep the First Couple’s 12-year-old son, Barron, “out of” the news.

The White House also responded to the “60 Minutes” interview, in which the adult film star claimed she was threatened with physical harm if she went public with her story.

“With respect to that interview I will say the president strongly, clearly and has consistently denied these underlying claims and the only person who has been inconsistent is the one making the claims,” the Washington Examiner quoted deputy press secretary Raj Shah at Monday’s press briefing. Stormy Daniels to ’60 Minutes’: I Was Threatened in 2011 Over Telling My Trump Story

By NBC News. Adult film star Stormy Daniels — who has said in a lawsuit that she had an “intimate” relationship with Donald Trump a decade before he became president — said in an interview airing Sunday night that she was threatened in 2011 inside a Las Vegas parking garage with her infant daughter present and was told not to go public with her story.

In a wide-ranging interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” — its highest-rated broadcast in 10 years, since an interview with Barack and Michelle Obama in 2008, the network said Monday — Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said the threat came weeks after she’d agreed to tell her story to a sister publication of InTouch magazine — an interview that didn’t run at the time.

“I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter. Taking, you know, the seats facing backwards in the backseat, diaper bag, you know, getting all the stuff out. And a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'” Daniels said, according to a transcript of the interview.

“And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone,” she added. (Read more from “Stormy Daniels to ’60 Minutes’: I Was Threatened in 2011 Over Telling My Trump Story” HERE)

A Democrat Just Suggested a Sickening Idea to Steal Guns From Americans

By WND. A Democratic candidate for sheriff in North Carolina is drawing fire after he suggested authorities should kill Americans to confiscate their firearms and then claimed he was joking.

R. Daryl Fisher, a former Asheville police officer who has been in law enforcement since 1985, was speaking at a Moms Demand Action meeting on March 7, 2018, at the West Asheville Library when he made the controversial comments.

Fisher’s campaign posted the following video of his speech on YouTube:

“Any weapon that is designed for use by the military, I think we should ban,” Fisher said. “You’ve heard people say you have to pry my gun from my cold, dead hands? (shrugs) OK.”

The audience laughs and applauds approvingly as Fisher smiles and adds: “Whenever you pass away, we’ll come get it. I dunno. I’m just saying. Joking just a little bit there.” (Read more from “A Democrat Just Suggested a Sickening Idea to Steal Guns From Americans” HERE)

An NC Sheriff Candidate’s Joke Led Thousands to Say He’s Willing to Kill to Take Guns

By News Observer. . . .R. Daryl Fisher is one of eight candidates running for sheriff of Buncombe County in western North Carolina. He’s one of five Democrats seeking to win the party’s nomination in a primary election on May 8.

The belief that he would kill for the sake of gun regulation arose from a “joke” he made during a meeting with voters in Asheville on March 7. Video was being recorded as Fisher answered questions about gun permits and offered suggestions for gun legislation . . .

The Twitter page for The Red Elephants, a conservative news outlet, posted that 30-second edited version of Fisher’s original video with text saying, “Suggests killing people to take their guns… Daryl Fisher candidate for sheriff in Buncombe County…”

The Red Elephants posted the video on Saturday, and by Monday afternoon it had more than 200,000 views and more than 4,000 retweets. (Read more from “An NC Sheriff Candidate’s Joke Led Thousands to Say He’s Willing to Kill to Take Guns” HERE)

Pro-Gun Parkland Survivor Attacks ‘March for Our Lives’ With Bombshell Statement

. . .While teenagers mouthing the liberal line are featured on CNN, making the cover of Time magazine, and enjoying sympathetic interviews on NPR, one junior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, wasn’t taking part in Saturday’s “March for Our Lives” festivities in Washington, or in cities around the country.

Because Kyle Kashuv, and students like him, are committing the one unforgivable sin in politically correct American culture: They think for themselves.

And Kashuv, a 16-year-old who spent two hours in a closet on the day a 19-year-old gunman started killing people on the Parkland, Florida, campus, has an opinion that’s different from the ones his more celebrated classmates are espousing.

While CNN blankets the liberal marchers with favorable coverage, and the rest of the media pretends that all young Americans are in lockstep with blaming the National Rifle Association for mass killings that the NRA has nothing to do with, Kashuv has been getting much less attention in his attacks on the march, its organizers, and the essential premise that guns are the real problem in America.

In an interview with Fox News, he cited the “March for Our Lives” website and its inclusion of a petition to ban the sale of so-called “assault weapons,” which these days tends to mainly mean the AR-15 – a rifle liberals love to hate because they can actually name it.
