Cruz Makes Announcement After Meeting With Trump

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, announced on Thursday that he has accepted presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s invitation to speak at the Republican National Convention later this month.

“We had a positive and productive meeting this morning with Donald Trump. Donald asked me to speak at the Republican convention and I told him I’d be happy to do so,” Cruz told reporters.

The Texas senator added that there was no discussion of an endorsement during that meeting.

Asked by a reporter what he would speak about at the convention, Cruz responded, “I’m going to urge Americans to get back to the Constitution to change the path we’re on: eight failed years of the Obama/Clinton economy; eight failed years of a presidency disregarding the Constitution and Bill of Rights; eight failed years of a commander-in-chief not protecting American and keeping us safe from radical Islamic terrorism. It’s time for that to end.”

Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said of the meeting, “There was no discussion of any endorsement. Mr. Trump asked Sen. Cruz to speak at the Republican convention, and Sen. Cruz said he would be happy to do so. Mr. Trump also asked Sen. Cruz for his counsel on future judicial nominations, and Cruz responded he would continue to do everything he can to help ensure principled constitutionalists on the courts.”

RNC chairman Reince Priebus, who was in attendance when the two met, told Fox News, “I’ll just say they had a good conversation, and it was very polite and cordial and normal. I know they’re working on details.”

As the two became the last viable Republican presidential candidates standing in the spring, the rivalry between them became particularly personal, with Trump referring to Cruz as “Lying Ted” and Cruz describing his foe as a “sniveling coward.”

In March, following Trump re-tweeting an unflattering picture of Cruz’s wife, Heidi, and threatening to “spill the beans” about her, the Texas senator indicated that he was not likely to endorse Trump. “I don’t make a habit of supporting people who attack my wife and my family,” he said.

CNN contributor and former Cruz communications staffer Amanda Carpenter tweeted regarding the Thursday meeting:

Trump also met with some 200 Republican members of Congress on Thursday. House Speaker Paul Ryan tweeted a statement following the meeting, which reads, in part, “It’s clear that our party is committed to defeating Hillary Clinton and Democrats this fall. We had a great meeting, and I appreciate Donald Trump taking the time to speak with House Republicans…”

You Can Thank These 20 Republicans for Loretta Lynch

This was a bad week for justice and the rule of law.

Tuesday, FBI Director Comey made his official recommendation to not bring charges against Hillary Clinton and subsequently on Wednesday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch accepted that recommendation. She then made the official announcement that the Department of Justice is closing its investigation into Clinton’s emails.

As Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin explained Tuesday, a special prosecutor should’ve been appointed from the beginning because the Obama administration, and Obama’s appointee Loretta Lynch, never intended to prosecute Clinton.

Lynch’s private meeting at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport with former President Bill Clinton combined with the mounting evidence against Hillary that is continually being swept under the rug only affirms the special treatment and consideration Hillary has received.

But how did Loretta Lynch become America’s top cop, albeit a corrupt one, with a GOP controlled Senate?

Republicans had to vote for her, of course.

So who were the Republicans who voted to advance Lynch’s nomination to final confirmation? They were:

Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn. (F, 19%)

Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H. (F, 34%)

Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C. (F, 43%)

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va. (F, 27%)

Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss. (F, 27%)

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine (F, 12%)

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn. (F, 47%)

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas (F, 46%)

Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz. (F, 50%)

Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo. (F, 47%)

Sen. Lindsay Graham, R-S.C. (F,33%)

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah (F, 37%)

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. (D, 60%)

Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill. (F, 19%)

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. (F, 44%)

Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio (F, 49%)

Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan. (F, 55%)

Sen. Mike Rounds, R-S.D. (F, 33%)

Sen. John Thune, R-S.D. (F, 48%)

Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C. (F, 33%)

These 20 Republicans were instrumental in the confirmation process of an Attorney General who has let Hillary Clinton off the hook. Justice won’t find Clinton in a court of law. But perhaps it will find her, and the Republicans who confirmed the AG that let her off, at the ballot box. Billionaire Child Sex Offender Epstein Co-Founded Clinton Foundation per Alan Dershowitz Letter

Attorneys for convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein touted his close friendship with Bill Clinton and even claimed the billionaire helped start Clinton’s controversial family foundation in a 2007 letter aimed at boosting his image during plea negotiations, FoxNews.com has learned.

The 23-page letter, written by high-powered lawyers Alan Dershowitz and Gerald Lefcourt, was apparently part of an ultimately successful bid to negotiate a plea deal before Epstein could be tried for using underage girls in a sex ring based in Palm Beach, Fla., and his private island estate on the 72-acre Virgin Islands home dubbed “Orgy Island.” Epstein spent 13 months in prison and home detention after agreeing to a plea deal in which he admitted to soliciting an underage girl for prostitution.

“Mr. Epstein was part of the original group that conceived the Clinton Global Initiative, which is described as a project ‘bringing together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges,” read the July 2007 letter to the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Southern District of Florida. “Focuses of this initiative include poverty, climate change, global health, and religious and ethnic conflicts.”

The hedge fund magnate’s true role in creating the foundation could not be confirmed. Whether Epstein was an actual founder of the foundation or exaggerated his role in a phony effort to appear altruistic is not clear.

Epstein is not cited in official paperwork filed by the Clinton Global Initiative as a founder or director. Neither The Clinton Foundation nor Dershowitz responded to FoxNews.com’s inquiry as to the extent of Epstein’s involvement. FoxNews.com first reported that flight logs show the former president flew on Epstein’s private plane dozens of times. But Clinton has publicly credited longtime assistant Doug Band, now counselor and director of the foundation, as conceiving of the idea. The Most Breathtaking and Frightening Fix in American History

Yesterday we witnessed a most frightening manifestation of the corruption of our political system. Doubly frightening because of what it augurs for all our futures if Hillary Clinton should prevail in the November elections. At the center of this corruption – but hardly alone – are the criminal Clintons – the Bonnie and Clyde of American politics – and their Democratic Party allies; but we should not fail to mention also the Republican enablers who would rather fight each other and appease their adversaries than win the political wars.

We knew they could fix the Department of Justice; we suspected they could fix the FBI. What we didn’t know was that the fixes would be this transparent: the secret meeting with a chief culprit and the DOJ head; the next day announcement by Justice that the Clinton bribery investigations would be postponed until well after the election; the suspiciously brief FBI interrogation of the former Secretary of State who during her entire tenure had recklessly breached national security protocols, deleted 30,000 emails; burned her government schedules; put top secret information onto a hackable server in violation of federal law; and topping it all the failure of the FBI director after enumerating her reckless acts to recommend a prosecution – all within a single week, and just in time for the Democrats’ nominating convention. It was, all in all, the most breathtaking fix in American history.

And it wasn’t ordinary criminal corruption. It was corruption affecting the nation’s security by individuals and a regime that have turned the Middle East over to the Islamic terrorists; that have enabled America’s chief enemy in the region, Iran, to become its dominant power; that allowed the Saudis, deeply implicated in the attacks of 9/11, to cover their crimes and spread Islamic hate doctrines into the United States; it was about selling our foreign policy to the high bidders at home and abroad, and about making America vulnerable to our enemies.

What can be done? First of all it’s a matter of deciding who you believe – the political elites who are telling you everything is normal, or your lying eyes? The political system is corrupt and cannot clean its own house. What is needed is an outside political force that will begin the job by putting the interests of our country first again. Call it what you will – nationalism or common sense – it is the most pressing need for the country now. Such a force would have to find its support outside Washington. Call that what you will – populism or democracy – no reforming leader can be elected without it. No political leader can begin to accomplish this task, without the support of ordinary Americans registered at the ballot box. Huma Abedin Admits Hillary Burned Federal Records; WikiLeaks Dumps Hundreds of Clinton Emails

By Daniel Halper. Hillary Clinton’s closest aide revealed in a deposition last week that her boss destroyed at least some of her schedules as secretary of state — a revelation that could complicate matters for the presumptive Democratic nominee, who, along with the State Department she ran, is facing numerous lawsuits seeking those public records.

Huma Abedin was deposed in connection with a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit into Clinton’s emails — but her admission could be relevant to another lawsuit seeking Clinton’s schedules.

“If there was a schedule that was created that was her Secretary of State daily schedule, and a copy of that was then put in the burn bag, that… that certainly happened on…on more than one occasion,” Abedin told lawyers representing Judicial Watch, the conservative organization behind the emails lawsuit. WikiLeaks Releases Over 1,000 Clinton Iraq War Emails

By Lucas Nolan. WikiLeaks has released 1,258 of Hillary Clinton’s emails in relation to the Iraq war, preceding the British Chilcot report on the conflict set to be released later this week.

WikiLeaks tweeted a link to their email archive from their official Twitter page today. Wikileaks appears to have a substantial amount of information on Clinton, having already released a large archive of Clinton’s emails earlier in the year. Breitbart has previously reported on Julian Assange’s claims that Google is complicit in the managing of Clintons online media campaign.

Released only a week after Bill Clinton’s meeting with Attorney General, Loretta Lynch and a day after Huma Abedins admission that Hillary Clinton had burned daily schedules, the contents of Hillary’s released emails, containing multiple interactions between Clinton and multiple white house officials, could be extremely damaging to Clinton’s current presidential campaign. Trump Reportedly Has Narrowed His Vice President List to First Choice and Close Second

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has said he would be announcing his running mate at the GOP convention in Cleveland later this month, but it appears he may have changed his mind and decided to do it sooner.

The Washington Post reports former House Speaker Newt Gingrich of Georgia is the New York billionaire’s top choice, with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie right behind him.

This report comes on the heels of an interview Gingrich did with Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace in which he claimed the Trump campaign had not spoken to him at all.

Despite this, a Trump campaign source told the Post that Gingrich is being “seriously considered,” and The New York Times reported that Christie has already received paperwork to be vetted.

The Post reported that Dallas pastor Robert Jeffress, who has become close with Trump during the campaign, said the GOP candidate has made it clear that he “wants someone who can help get his legislative agenda through Congress.”

“I think that is how he is going,” Jeffress said. “He’d be coming in as an outsider, and that has fueled his popularity. But he is the first to admit that he doesn’t know all the ways of Washington. So to actually push what he wants through, he’s willing to reach out and get somebody to lend a hand.”

Christie, a longtime friend of the Republican candidate, quickly endorsed Trump after dropping his own bid for president several months ago. Since that time, the governor has become one of the New York billionaire’s most loyal surrogates and trusted behind-the-scenes confidants.

In fact, he has been so loyal to Trump that following a press conference several months ago where the normally bombastic Christie was silent, social media blew up jokingly wondering if Christie had been taken hostage by the Trump campaign. The governor was quick go dispel those rumors. “I want everyone to know for those who were concerned: I wasn’t being held hostage,” he said.

Christie is a lot like Trump in that he is an outspoken personality from a Northeastern blue state, but he also has nearly two full terms as governor under his belt, which fulfills the businessman’s reported desire for government experience.

Gingrich fulfills that need as well, having been a longtime congressman and speaker of the House of Representatives. The Georgia-based Republican, who ran for his party’s nomination in 2012, was one of Trump’s biggest supporters early on. Gingrich is also similar to Trump and Christie in that he is widely known for speaking his mind.

In fact, he has even done so against Trump recently, something many believed would hurt his chances of being selected as the billionaire’s running mate.

Referring to the presumptive Republican nominee’s attacks on the federal judge ruling in the Trump University case who is of Mexican heritage, Gingrich called it “completely unacceptable,” adding, “I thought it was inappropriate what he said.” (For more from the author of “Trump Reportedly Has Narrowed His Vice President List to First Choice and Close Second” please click HERE)

Governor Walker Steals $666 Million From Alaska’s Families, Time to Recall the Liar

Governor Walker campaigned as a Republican, then made a deal with the Dems as Independent. Now he says both parties are evil. In reality, the biggest evil is looking directly back at Bill Walker in the mirror.

Governor Bill Walker just stole (his words, not mine) approximately $1,000 from every man, woman, and child in Alaska. It was the most destructive, regressive tax in the history of the State of Alaska. And why did he do it? He doesn’t have the backbone to confront the State’s public unions. He’d rather take from the average Alaskan family than confront the institutional corruption that plagues our state.

The man is a liar, flat-out. He promised repeatedly in his past elections to never touch Alaska’s Permanent Dividend Fund. Here’s what the liar said in 2014 to get elected:

As Governor I believe in . . . rejecting the notion that Juneau politicians need to look at stealing money from your PFD or instituting a state income or sales tax in order to pay for their growing appetite to spend money we don’t have. A balanced budget does not mean tapping our state savings account to pay what you are unwilling to cut.

He also stated that, “I have no intention to [pay] for state government by reducing Permanent Fund dividend checks. If we properly develop our natural resources and put in place a sustainable budget that should not be necessary.” And that’s not all. He repeatedly attacked the incumbent governor for a plan “tapping the PFD or creating a state tax rather than cut spending.”

This is the worst type of hypocrisy. A politician who lied not only about his opponent, but then later did exactly what he accused his opponent of.

So what exactly did the Governor do? He refused to cut public spending to match declining state revenues and instead took the easy out: he simply stole the People’s money and blamed the legislature for his unethical act. Exactly how much money did he steal from us? Most estimates suggest that Alaskans would have realized $2,000 from this year’s dividend. So by capping the dividend at $1000, he took about $1000 for every qualifying resident, or 666 million dollars.

In other words, Bill Walker cut Alaskan’s PFDs by many times more than state agencies, in some cases over ten times more. What does that tell you about this governor?

And what does that mean to growing families in Alaska, struggling to heat their homes and pay other utilities in a state where expenses are 25% higher than the national average? It may mean less food on their tables and more frigid homes in the winter. This is a major chunk of change for the average Alaskan family. Of course, multi-millionaire, big-government-loving Bill Walker has no understanding or concern for this.

And yes, millionaire Bill Walker, it IS the public’s money. The state Constitution provides that all mineral rights are owned by the People. Article VIII, Section 1 of the State’s Constitution dictates that the use of resources from state lands should maximize the public interest. Such resources are to be used so that the citizens equally benefit, not so that one special interest – like public unions – have their demands met at the cost of the average Joe.

To make matters worse, after stealing Alaskan’s PFDs, this shyster governor blamed the legislature for his spineless act. Huh?! The envy of most governors nationwide, Governor Walker holds a veto pen that can unilaterally cut any agency and any funding he wishes – just as he used that pen to steal thousands of dollars from hard-working Alaskans. The governor HIMSELF has total authority over state expenditures. He alone is responsible for not addressing the State’s fiscal disaster with integrity.

The cold hard facts are this: Walker has no spine, no guts, he’s just a slick, typical politician who will do anything to keep the corrupt system rolling. And his do-nothing Lieutenant Governor Mallot is standing right there with him, cheering him on.

Alaska Statutes provide that elected leaders who are (1) no longer fit for office, (2) incompetent, (3) have neglected their duties, or (4) are corrupt may be turned out of office by the voters. See AS 15.45.510. Walker’s idiocy with the PFD, his lies about what he’d do as governor, and slavish devotion to big government on the People’s dime, fall squarely within the recall parameters.

Time to turn him out. Recall Governor Walker. Click HERE to find out more.

Family of Disabled 19-Year-Old Girl Suing TSA for Mistreatment

Hannah Cohen, 19, and her family are suing the TSA after a head injury suffered as the result of a TSA officer tackling her onto the floor. Hannah is a St. Jude’s cancer patient, who is partially deaf and blind in one eye. She is a patient at St. Jude’s, in treatment for a brain tumor discovered 17 years ago.

The horrible incident occurred as she was on a trip home to Chattanooga with her mom Sarah Cohen, after a series of treatments for the tumor at St. Jude’s Hospital.

The family has made the trip for 17 years since the tumor was discovered, and have never experienced any troubles at the airport. This time however, as Hannah and her mom were progressing through a TSA checkpoint at Memphis International Airport, she set off the metal detector.

Hannah, young and in a disabled state, was understandably confused by the TSA agents who suddenly approached her. She tried to avoid them, and moved away confused by the sudden approach of the officers.

Prior to approaching Hannah, the TSA agents told her mother they wanted to do additional screening after the alarms went off.

What was originally intended to be “additional screening” turned into a physical and bloody scuffle.

As Hannah tried to escape what she perceived to be a threat, one of the agents tackled her to the ground, ramming her head into the floor in the process.

“She’s trying to get away from them but in the next instant, one of them had her down on the ground and hit her head on the floor. There was blood everywhere,” recalled her mother.

During the incident, her mother tried to tell the officers multiple times that Hannah had various medical issues and that she was just confused, but was forced back as the agents took her daughter away in handcuffs.

After the misunderstanding-turned-spectacle subsided, Hannah was arrested and booked in the airport’s jail, apart from her mother.

The Cohen family unexpectedly spent the night in the airport, with Hannah isolated, and no access to their luggage.

“Here we were with nowhere to go, not even a toothbrush, our bags had gone to Chattanooga,” Hannah’s mom recounted.

The charges were later thrown out by authorities and Hannah was finally released.

“She’s 19 but she’ll always be my baby. We’ve been through so much.”

The TSA would not comment directly to the incident, but released a statement in the aftermath saying, “Passengers can call ahead of time to learn more about the screening process for their particular needs or medical situation.”

Upset with how things were handled, the Cohen family is planning to bring a lawsuit against the Memphis Airport, Airport Police and the TSA for negligent conduct and injuries suffered by Hannah. Benghazi Widow Rebukes Clinton for Telling Country to ‘Move On’

The wife of one of the men killed during the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, rebuked Hillary Clinton on Thursday for encouraging the country to “move on” four years after the violence.

Dorothy Woods, the widow of Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, told CNN’s Erin Burnett in her first interview since the attacks that she found Clinton’s comments to be in sync with other “dismissive” remarks from critics of the Benghazi investigation. The probe has been slammed by Democrats as partisan and more focused on harming Clinton than on finding out the truth about the September 11, 2012, attack.

“Nobody in government can tell me how I feel, what I should feel about it,” Woods said. “She has no right — nor does anyone in government have the right — to tell me it’s time to move on. They’re not in my shoes.” (Read more from “Benghazi Widow Rebukes Clinton for Telling Country to ‘Move On'” please click HERE)

Dolly Parton’s Presidential Endorsement Announcement Might Surprise Fans

Country legend Dolly Parton has announced she’s endorsing Democratic presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton for president.

The 70-year-old country star said that she will “be behind her” when Clinton officially secures the nomination.

When asked in an interview with The New York Times how she feels about a female presidential nominee, Parton responded, “Well, I think that that would be wonderful. Hillary might make as good a president as anybody ever has.”

She continued, “I think no matter if it’s Hillary or Donald Trump, we’re gonna be plagued with PMS either way — presidential mood swings! But I personally think a woman would do a great job. I think Hillary’s very qualified. So if she gets it, I’ll certainly be behind her.”

The admiration is mutual. Clinton used Parton’s 1980 hit “9 to 5” while on the campaign trail in 2008 against President Barack Obama, and she also had a Parton-themed birthday party in 1995.

For the most part, Clinton has secured endorsements from major members of the Democratic Party, including Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, who endorsed Clinton a few weeks ago.

Trump, on the other hand, has had difficulty winning support from some top Republicans. Last week, former House Speaker Tom Delay publicly stated, after attending a meeting of evangelicals with Trump, that he would not endorse the presumptive nominee.

Trump has said he can do it on his own, but it would be nice to have a more help. (For more from the author of “Dolly Parton’s Presidential Endorsement Announcement Might Surprise Fans” please click HERE)
