Report: Donald Trump Considering Relaunching MAGA Rallies

Former President Donald Trump is reportedly discussing the resumption of his Make America Great Again rallies as he allegedly mulls over a 2024 presidential bid.

On Wednesday, CNN reported that the former president may also hold events to support candidates challenging Republicans who have criticized him, including Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and more[:]

Recently, Trump has initiated discussions about resuming the signature MAGA rallies that fortified his nascent political movement in 2016 and continued throughout his presidency. While he has vowed to travel to Alaska to campaign against Murkowski and is said to be interested in hosting campaign events for some of the candidates he’s already endorsed, aides said the logistics are still being worked out but that he could resume rallies as early as May.

“It will definitely be different in terms of the setup, but we got really good at planning these events in 2020, so we will probably use a lot of those same vendors again,” said the person close to Trump’s post-White House operation.

Nikki Haley Makes an Announcement About Her Presidential Prospects

Former United Nations (UN) Ambassador Nikki Haley made an announcement about her potential presidential run, during an appearance in South Carolina on Monday. The former Trump administration official and former Governor of South Carolina said that she would not launch a presidential campaign if the former president himself were to run for the White House again. Haley said that she would throw her support behind Trump if he ultimately decides to launch a third bid for the presidency.

“I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it,” Haley told reporters. “That’s something that we will have a conversation about, at some point.”

New Poll Reveals How Many Americans Support ‘The Rock’ for President

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is stoking rumors he may run for president after a new poll found support for the action movie actor. . .

A poll released on Tuesday by Piplsay found that nearly half of the 30,000 people surveyed would support his candidacy. The poll found that 29% would support campaigns by both Johnson for president and actor Matthew McConaughey for Texas governor, with another 17% supporting Johnson’s run only.

“In addition to Johnson, the poll asked respondents to weigh in on whether a number of other celebrities should run for president,” Newsweek reported. “A presidential run from Angelina Jolie had the support of 30 percent, while 27 percent supported Oprah Winfrey and another 22 percent supported Tom Hanks. A combined 63 percent said that Hollywood stars would ‘make good politicians’ if they had ‘political aptitude’ or ‘the right team in place.’” (Read more from “New Poll Reveals How Many Americans Support ‘The Rock’ for President” HERE)

Trump Says He Is Considering First Rally Since Leaving Office

Former President Donald Trump says he is considering holding a rally in the near future as he continues to tease the idea of a 2024 run for the White House.

In an interview with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, he also took a swipe at the media for playing down President Joe Biden’s recent trip and fall on the Air Force One steps, dismissed Twitter as “boring” without him, and said that the new administration’s green policies were so far to the left that even Sen. Bernie Sanders would not back them.

The 18-minute conversation for his daughter-in-law’s new podcast was his first on camera since leaving power in January. . .

Lara Trump asked: “The other question people all want to know — and I know you’re not ready to answer it yet — but do we have hope that there’s a possibility to see Donald Trump run again in 2024?”

Trump replied: “You do have hope, that I can tell you. You do have hope. We love our country, this country. We all owe a lot to our country, but now, we have to help our country.” (Read more from “Trump Says He Is Considering First Rally Since Leaving Office” HERE)

Biden Says He Plans on Running Again in 2024 — and Takes a Shot Directly at Trump

President Joe Biden formally stated Thursday that he plans to run for reelection in 2024.

“The answer is yes, my plan is to run for reelection,” Biden said during his first solo press conference as president. “That’s my expectation.”

The president additionally joked that his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, formally announced his reelection campaign so early into his time in office was because he “needed it.” (Read more from “Biden Says He Plans on Running Again in 2024 — and Takes a Shot Directly at Trump” HERE)

New Bill Would Let People Vote up to Two Weeks after Election Day

The Democratic Party is attempting to make Election Day into “election season” with the radical “For The People Act of 2021” sponsored by Rep. John P. Sarbanes, D-Md. The bill passed in the House on March 3 at a vote of 220 to 210.

As noted by Federalist Executive Editor Joy Pullmann, the Democratic-sponsored elections bill H.R. 1 would “require states to wait ten days after election day” to accept ballots. Page 199 of the legislation states:

Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to prohibit a State from having a law that allows for counting of ballots in an election for Federal office that are received through the mail after the date that is 10 days after the date of the election.

As long as ballots are postmarked by Election Day, H.R. 1 would effectively mandate that all states accept absentee ballots within that 10-day window. But the bill takes it a step further, noting that election officials would be restricted from verifying voter identification and eligibility. H.R. 1 would ban all state voter ID laws and has an ambiguous provision criminalizing an individual from “hindering, interfering, or preventing” an individual from voting or registering. Meghan Markle Reportedly Networking With Democrats, Eyes Bid For U.S. President

Meghan Markle is reportedly already networking with senior Democrats to help her ambitions to become the first female US president.

The Duchess of Sussex previously told friends about her political ambitions — and now hopes her blockbuster Oprah Winfrey interview will strengthen support in the US, sources told the Mail on Sunday newspaper.

She has been openly networking among senior Democrats to help build fundraising teams and a campaign for the White House, according to a senior UK politician who served under former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and has close ties to Washington.

“The Blairite, internationalist and Democratic party networks are buzzing with talk about Meghan’s political ambitions and potential backers,” the anonymous source told the UK paper.

Markle, 39, is thought to be looking at the 2024 campaign if President Biden, who will be 82, decides against running for a second term, the source said. If successful, it would make her the first female US president. (Read more from “Meghan Markle Reportedly Networking With Democrats, Eyes Bid For U.S. President” HERE)

Veeps Emerge for a 2024 Trump Ticket That Could Reshape Republican Party

Former President Donald Trump is barely out of the White House, let alone declaring he will actually run for a second term. Yet, the starting gun was seemingly fired this week on the race to become the former president’s running mate in 2024, with advisers suggesting his best chance of reclaiming the office resides in choosing a black or female sidekick.

Trump’s spokesman was quick to deny that any such conversations are taking place at his post-presidential Mar-a-Lago residence, but the speculation will fuel a long-running conversation about how the Republican Party adapts to the country’s changing demographics and broadens its support.

“If Trump runs, whoever he picks as VP is going to have a claim on the presidential nomination in 2028,” said Robert Shapiro, professor of politics at Columbia University. “They’d be picking the next leader of the Republican Party, and it certainly makes sense from a demographic standpoint to pick a woman or a minority.” . . .

On Wednesday, Bloomberg reported that close advisers were telling Trump to exclude Pence from a possible 2024 ticket. Instead, they raised the possibility of a black or female vice president, with two backing South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who is popular with the Trump base.

A day earlier, Trump endorsed South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott’s reelection. He is the only black Republican in the Senate. (Read more from “Veeps Emerge for a 2024 Trump Ticket That Could Reshape Republican Party” HERE)

Poll Reveals the Top Candidates for 2024

President Donald Trump and former first lady Michelle Obama lead their respective party primaries for a hypothetical 2024 presidential run, a December McLaughlin & Associates survey revealed.

The poll surveyed 438 Republican primary voters December 9-13 and asked, “Thinking ahead to the 2024 Republican primary election for President, if that election were held today among the following candidates, for whom would you vote?”

Trump overwhelming led the pack with 56 percent support — a three-point jump from November’s survey. Vice President Mike Pence came in a distant second with 11 percent support, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) came in third with five percent support. Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) garnered four percent support, followed by former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley and Fox News host Tucker Carlson, both of whom garnered three percent. The remaining candidates saw two percent support or less, with ten percent remaining undecided:

The survey also examined a hypothetical 2024 scenario on the Democrat side, asking 443 registered Democrats the same question. Voters seemed less united on a singular candidate, though Michelle Obama saw the most support with 29 percent. Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris saw 25 percent support, followed by Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) with seven percent. Former Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) garnered five percent support. The remaining candidates saw three percent support or less, while 18 percent remain undecided:

Poll: Nearly Half of Americans Support Trump Running in 2024

While President Donald Trump’s legal efforts to remain in the White House appear to be failing, a poll released Monday indicates that more than half of Americans are in favor of Trump running for president again in 2024.

Trump has claimed victory in the 2020 election although many media outlets have projected a win for President-elect Joe Biden. Trump has thus far refused to concede the election and has filed lawsuits in some battleground states alleging widespread electoral manipulation. For the most part, those lawsuits have been dismissed by judges. Some observers believe that Trump could mount another presidential campaign in 2024. According to a Hill-HarrisX daily poll published Monday, many Americans think Trump should follow through with those alleged plans.

According to the poll, 47 percent of registered voters support Trump running again in 2024. Republicans comprised a majority of that number with 75 percent backing a second Trump campaign. While only 24 percent of Democrats supported the idea, 47 percent of Independent voters gave the idea their support.

Voters who did not support a second Trump presidential run numbered 53 percent. Most of those voters—76 percent—were Democrats. However, 25 percent of those who did not think Trump should run again were Republicans. A majority of Independent voters were also against the idea, with 53 percent saying they were in opposition to the idea.
