Doctors Tell Mom to Abort “Brain Dead” Baby, Mom Sues After Delivering Healthy Child

A mother in England is filing suit against a hospital where doctors told her she should have an abortion of her supposedly “brain dead” unborn baby. Sarah Hagan is now suing City Hospitals Sunderland after giving birth to a healthy child.

Hagan says that, after a 24-week ultrasound scan of her unborn baby, doctors told her that her son Aaron was “brain dead,” had just one eye and no chance of survival.

The mother of two says physicians advised her to take an abortion drug, even though the mifepristone abortion pill is only authorized to be used to destroy the life of an unborn baby much earlier in pregnancy.

When the abortion drug didn’t work, another doctor informed Hagan her baby needed to be delivered immediately and she gave birth to Aaron, who was born at 1lb 7oz with both eyes and healthy other than the fact that he was born prematurely — which has left him with chronic lung problems he wouldn’t have had otherwise. Now Aaron is 15 months old and Hagan is taking legal action.

Jack Nicholson on Abortion: ‘I’m Positively Against It’ — ‘I Never Would Have Gotten to Live’

Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson, 76, who is retiring from movies it was reported today, is, unlike many liberals in Tinseltown, a staunch pro-lifer who said in a 1984 interview about abortion, “I’m positively against it. I don’t have the right to any other view.”

He added that it was the moral character of his mother and grandmother that ensured he himself had not been aborted.

The Academy Award-winning Nicholson was born on Apr. 22, 1937 to a woman named June Frances Nicholson, who was 17 years old at the time and a showgirl dancer. Jack was raised by his maternal grandparents, John Nicholson and Ethel May, believing they were his real parents and that June Frances was his sister. Jack Nicholson did not find out until 1974, after his mother had died of cancer, that June Frances was his real mother.

In the 1984 Rolling Stone interview, Jack Nicholson described his mother and the life she had lived and also talked about abortion. He said, “I’m very contra my constituency in terms of abortion because I’m positively against it. I don’t have the right to any other view.”

“My only emotion is gratitude, literally, for my life,” said Nicholson. “[If June and Ethel had been] of less character, I never would have gotten to live. These women gave me the gift of life.”

Newly released video footage shows Democrat gubernatorial candidates Tyler Olson and Jack Hatch joining abortion activists in an extended prayer in thanksgiving for abortionists, asking for increased abortion access, and decrying the fact that women have been “made afraid of their own power by their paternalistic religion.”

The five-minute prayer begins, “We give thanks, O Lord, for the doctors, both current and future, who provide quality abortion care, and pray that they may be kept safe.”

“We pray for the 45 million American women who have had safe, legal abortions. May they stand tall and refuse shame,” the prayer continues. “We pray for elected officials, that they may always support a woman’s right to make her own medical decisions.”

The prayer was led by abortion activist Midge Slater, according to the Iowa Republican. It was part of a rally by abortion activists ahead of a hearing on proposed rules banning the practice of having abortionists in a remote location dispense abortion drugs to women via webcam.

Video Game Has Players Help Women Find Abortion Clinics to Kill Their Babies

If Wendy Davis’ 11-hour filibuster to protect late-term abortion in the Lone Star State wasn’t proof enough of the Texas pro-abortion movement’s desperation, a new video game does the trick.

In “Choice: Texas,” designed by Carly Kocurek and Allyson Whipple and currently in development, players hunt for abortion access in Texas via the “choose-your-own-adventure” technique – and confront obstacles such as geography and healthcare.

Gamers live vicariously through characters such as 35-year-old Latrice who, despite a long-time boyfriend, “has never planned to have children, and between her career and family obligations, she feels she has her hands full enough.” Another, 19-year-old Leah bartends as she “save[s] up money and think[s] about what she would like to do.”

Wow! So it’s of like Frodo bearing the Ring to Mordor to save Middle Earth. But the Ring you want to lob into the lava is a baby, and Middle Earth is your personal convenience. How inspiring.

Doctors’ Organization Demands Hospitals Perform More Abortions, Young Doctors Eager to Learn Killing Art

In a statement set to be published in the September issue of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 100 ob-gyns condemn new state restrictions on abortion as a “political regression.” The article, obtained by TIME, criticizes hospitals for relinquishing abortion to stand-alone clinics that are easily targeted by abortion activists, and calls on the medical community to integrate the procedure into women’s-health services and medical training…

It’s a rare call to arms for the medical community, which tends to lay low when it comes to abortion. A 2011 study from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists found that while 97% of ob-gyn doctors in the U.S. have met with a patient who wants an abortion, just 14% actually perform the procedure.

Hospitals provide just 4% of abortions in the U.S., according to the Guttmacher Institute, a nonprofit sexual-health-research organization, and many facilities limit the procedure to rare cases, like fetal abnormalities or when the life of the woman is at risk. The majority of hospitals perform fewer than 30 abortions per year. Others refuse to provide the procedure at all…

Despite these obstacles, however, pro-choice physicians say they have already made progress toward normalizing abortion in the medical community, most notably by expanding training through residency programs and family-planning fellowships. About 50% of the 200 ob-gyn residency programs in the U.S. now integrate abortion into training requirements, up from just 12% in 1992. Professors believe that a new generation of doctors will use their training to bring abortion back into hospitals and doctors’ offices. A 2011 study of ob-gyns found that female doctors and those ages 35 and younger were far more likely than their colleagues to perform abortions.

“It is very unusual for us to find new residents who don’t want to learn abortions,” Darney says. “They may find it difficult to practice, but we have a whole new generation of young women who are replacing the old men, and they have a very different view about their relationships with their patients. It’s very promising.”

Duck Dynasty Star Rails Against Abortion Culture in America: “What in the World Happened to Us?” (+video)

Duck DynastyBehind the beard and camouflage, Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson is an incredibly insightful man with a penchant for straight talk. In a video posted on YouTube in January, Robertson is seen giving a speech in Pennsylvania discussing the abortion culture in America, among other things.

Robertson stated what we need more in our day are people like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson who understood that our right to life comes from God. “I’m with George Washington. I’m in the same camp as George Washington…That big Washington Monument in DC. You know what the capstone says on top of it? Praise God,” he said. The Bible and our own founding document, the Declaration of Independence, make the right to life emphatically clear.

“We have been endowed by our creator, according to Thomas Jefferson, with certain unalienable rights. Among these are life,” Robertson exhorted, adding, “I’ll tell you, it didn’t take us 150 years, we started ripping babies out of wombs. They should have listened to Thomas Jefferson—you have a God-given right to live inside your mother—come on!…What in the world happened to us?”

A newly-published study shows the highest-ever abortion-breast cancer risk for women of any previously-published study on the link between the two.

A Bangladesh study published in the Journal of Dhaka Medical College on risk factors for breast cancer, led by Dr. Suraiya Jabeen, found a statistically significant 20.62-fold increased risk among women with abortion histories. The new study on the abortion-breast cancer link is by far the highest risk elevation reported among 73 published abortion-breast cancer studies.

“Physical inactivity, being menopause, positive family history of breast cancer and history of induced abortion were found important risk factors,” the authors wrote.

Revolutionary Communist Party Leads ‘Abortion Rights Freedom Rides’ to 14 States

WICHITA, KS, August 9, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Numerous mainstream and left-leaning media outlets have highlighted the “Abortion Rights Freedom Rides,” a caravan of activists now traveling to 14 states to support “Abortion on demand and without apology.” However, no media outlet has reported that the event is being conducted by the Revolutionary Communist Party USA, a cult-like Maoist sect that calls for “millions of people to rise up in mass armed revolution” against the United States “when the time is right.”

The abortion freedom rides are being led by Stop Patriarchy, a front group for the Revolutionary Communist Party USA (RCP). SP’s original “Call to Action” gives the RCP’s web address as its own and prominently quotes RCP founder and chairman Bob Avakian.

The new “freedom rides,” modeled after the civil rights campaign to register black voters in the segregated South, provide special support to states that have only one abortion facility.

Their banners proclaim, “Abortion Providers are Heroes.” Another said, “A Woman is Not the Life Support System for Her Uterus.”

This weekend, they are protesting in Wichita, Kansas, to back efforts to open a new abortion facility once owned by Dr. George Tiller, whom they call a “heroic abortion provider.”

March On Media Rally: ‘Real War on Women’ is Media Silence on Abortion

(CNSNews.com) – Pro-life activists held a rally outside of ABC Studios in Washington, D.C. Thursday to “demand honest reporting” and to protest “the mainstream media’s censorship of the truth regarding abortion.”

The rally was hosted by Live Action, a non-profit pro-life organization.

Over 53 million abortions have been performed in the U.S. since the Supreme Court decided to legalize abortion in Roe v. Wade and over one million abortions are performed each year, noted Christian Robey, political director at Media Research Center, the parent company of CNSNews.com.

“Now is the time for the media to cover both the facts and also the culture of death that surrounds this grisly industry,” Robey said, criticizing major media networks ABC, CBS and NBC for “lavishing praise on their hero, Wendy Davis” and devoting “three times as much coverage to lauding Wendy Davis as to covering the atrocities of so-called Dr. Gosnell.”

Davis, a state senator from Texas, made headlines in June for her 11-hour filibuster of a bill banning late-term abortions that was drafted in response to abuses at Gosnell’s abortion clinic in Philadelphia. Despite the protest, which drew hundreds of abortion supporters to the statehouse, Texas Governor Rick Perry signed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act into law after it passed in a special session.
