Trump Derangement Syndrome: Disgraced Ex-Dem Senator Suggests Giving POTUS the Wrong Nuclear Codes

Yeah, he’s a comedian. Yes, he’s out of office, but it just adds another chapter to the Left’s ever-entertaining meltdown over the presidency of Donald J. Trump. At the same time, I have to give a hat tip to Al Franken. The man has evidently reached the point of screw it with this tweet. I don’t like it, but it’s gutsy—for all the wrong reasons. On the flip side, take it like this: Trump lives rent free in some liberals’ heads.

“How dangerous is Trump? It’s not the time for Mattis to tell Trump that he’s taking the nuclear codes away from him. It’s time for Mattis to give him the wrong codes,” he wrote.

Yeah, he’s dangerous because…he beat Hillary Clinton? That’s the benchmark for dangerous in Democratic minds? When it comes to acting like petulant children, Democrats will always take the lead, no matter how bad the GOP becomes. Trump beat Hillary therefore a constitutional crisis, therefore dangerous, therefore, we need to impeach, but if we can’t—give him the wrong nuclear codes. Franken is so late to this party; the apocalyptic nuclear war started because of his Twitter account has come and gone. Former Senator Explains What Should ‘Disqualify’ Kavanaugh

Franken believes he has exposed Republicans’ agenda in how they have handled the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings this week. For instance, why did Chairman Chuck Grassley allow a document dump on the nominee the night before the hearings began? . . .

Kavanaugh has misled Americans in trying to boost President Trump’s image, Franken charged. At the White House ceremony in which he announced Kavanaugh as his next Supreme Court nominee to replace retiring Anthony Kennedy, Kavanaugh praised Trump’s diligence in making his pick, saying, “no president has ever consulted more widely, or talked with more people from more backgrounds, to seek input about a Supreme Court nomination.”

Kavanaugh should be disqualified for his “lie” and such “nonsensical praise,” Franken writes.

This was extremely untrue. President Barack Obama, for example, had taken a month or close to it to pick both Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. Trump had taken just 12 days to make his pick. And, of course, he made that pick from a list of 25 names presented to him by the right-wing Federalist Society.

If judgment matters, and if we want judges who make their judgments based on a full and fair understanding of the facts, a big, fat, easily debunked lie like Kavanaugh’s should have been instantly disqualifying. Instead, it became just the first example of how Kavanaugh’s selection to the Supreme Court represents a perfect illustration of what the conservative movement has been doing to the judicial system for decades.

Disgraced Pervert Al Franken Just Got Owned HARD

[Author Kyle Smith has some questions for former U.S. senator Al Franken. These were asked after Franken fired off on Brett Kavanaugh.]

1) Al, as you were posting on social media a list of proposed questions for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, did it occur to you that your opinion on the matter is no more relevant than Harvey Weinstein’s?

2) Al, is it appropriate for a disgraced former U.S. senator to use the Twitter cognomen “U.S. Senator Al Franken”? Are you aware that being a senator is simply a temporary public-service job, not a permanent title of nobility, the usage of which this country discourages?

3) Al, until the abrupt end of your political career, when your term in the U.S. Senate ended as badly as the release of your film Stuart Saves His Family, you had been a U.S. senator for eight and a half years. Yet you had been a carcinogenically unfunny comedian for more than 40 years. Would not the Twitter handle “Carcinogenically Unfunny Comedian” be more appropriate for you to use as a permanent title?

4) Al, should not a senator who disgraced his office by sexually assaulting various women adopt a public pose of contrition rather than arrogance in the months immediately following his resignation?

5) Al, when you publicly list the questions you’d like to ask Kavanaugh, do you think Minnesota’s new junior senator, Tina Smith, might have just cause to feel that you are infringing on her territory? Are you in effect mansplaining to Senator Smith how to go about questioning a Supreme Court nominee?

Al Franken Spins ‘Apology’ Into Fake Feminism Shield

Senator Al Franken, D-Minn., is trying to spin his apology to a woman who accused him of sexual misconduct into evidence that he’s a champion of feminism.

On Thursday, Leeann Tweeden accused Sen. Franken of forcing her to kiss him and shoving his tongue down her throat during a comedy tour to entertain U.S. troops in Afghanistan in 2006. She also shared a photograph of Franken appearing to grope her breasts while she was asleep.

Tweeden said she felt “disgusted and violated” by Franken. The picture of Franken with his hands over her breasts made her feel “embarrassed. Belittled. Humiliated.”

There were immediate calls for Franken to resign from the U.S. Senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has called for the Ethics Committee to begin an investigation into Franken’s conduct.

In a statement responding to the photographic evidence Tweeden provided, Franken apologized and then asserted that he respects women.

“I respect women,” Franken said. “I don’t respect men who don’t. And the fact that my own actions have given people a good reason to doubt that makes me feel ashamed.”

Franken went on to say the recent widespread reports of sexual abuse in Hollywood, the media, and in politics are cause for reflection.

“I don’t know what was in my head when I took that picture, and it doesn’t matter. There’s no excuse. I look at it now and I feel disgusted with myself. It isn’t funny. It’s completely inappropriate. It’s obvious how Leeann would feel violated by that picture.” Then he turns.

“And, what’s more, I can see how millions of other women would feel violated by it—women who have had similar experiences in their own lives, women who fear having those experiences, women who look up to me, women who have counted on me.”

Though Franken says he doesn’t remember shoving his tongue down Tweeden’s throat, he says he understands “why we need to listen to and believe women’s experiences.”

He will “gladly” cooperate with the ethics investigation, he says. And whatever people think of Franken and his perverted behavior toward Tweeden, captured in a photograph, is “far less important than what people think of women who continue to come forward with their stories.”

“They deserve to be heard, and believed. And they deserve to know that I am their ally and supporter. I have let them down and am committed to making it up to them,” Franken concluded.

This apology is the real joke. Franken doesn’t respect women. He’s made demeaning and inappropriate, sexualized jokes about women for decades. Now that there’s photographic evidence that he’s acted in the disgusting manner he joked about for years, he wants to hide behind his liberalism.

Franken issued this apology, and Tweeden accepted his apology, but only after the evidence of what he did was made public. Tweeden noted that he did not apologize at any time during the 11 years following the tour.

What is the standard here? If we disqualify our elected officials from holding office upon credible allegations of sexual misconduct, then Franken has got to go. This pathetic “apology” changes nothing. (For more from the author of “Al Franken Spins ‘Apology’ Into Fake Feminism Shield” please click HERE)
