Congressional Black Caucus Urges Barack Obama To Discriminate Against Whites

Congressional Black Caucus to President Barack Obama – “The people you have chosen to appoint in this new term have hardly been reflective of this country’s diversity.”

So said Marcia L. Fudge, oblivious to the irony that such a statement would be coming from her; she’s the chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, a group the diversity of whose members ranges from light-skinned black to dark-skinned black. That is the extent of the level of diversity within the CBC.

Even the Congressional Hispanic Caucus has more diversity. Visit the CHC’s Wikipedia page and click on each of the pages for the 21 current members (all of whom are Democrats, by the way, as only a Democrat would be so segregationist). You will find that at least half of them look white. The only thing Hispanic about them is that their names sound like Taco Bell meals. (I can say that because I’m part Cuban.)

And if you look at the Congressional White Caucus, you’ll find–oh, wait, never mind I forgot that a Congressional White Caucus doesn’t exist. For one, white people don’t have such privilege, and two, white people–or at least the Republican ones–don’t wish to segregate themselves off from other races.

Marcia Fudge, who does engage in such segregation, feels offended that President Obama hasn’t nominated anyone to any cabinet positions who can “speak to the unique needs of African Americans.” She wrote a letter to Obama to express her racist desire for Obama to start discriminating against whites.

Obama Tells Wealthy Donors His Campaign Club Can Beat Voter Opposition

President Barack Obama hosted his first fundraiser for his Oval Office campaign group on Wednesday evening, and he told his wealthy donors that their checks will help Democratic and Republican politicians vote against the wishes of their own constituents.

“If you have a senator or a congressman in a swing district who is prepared to take a tough vote … on immigration reform, or legislation around background checks for guns, I want to make sure that they feel supported and that they know that there are constituencies of theirs who agree with them, even if they may be getting a lot of pushback in that district,” he declared to the roughly 70 attending donors who are fueling his unprecedented group, dubbed Organizing For Action.

“If we do it well, then I’m confident that we can move strong immigration legislation … we can get common-sense gun safety legislation … we can craft a budget that is responsible,” he declared.

The group’s support — and pressure — could also be aimed at Democratic politicians worried about supporting his agenda, he hinted. Throughout his speech, he deflected growing bipartisan criticism over his group, which is accepting money from wealthy donors — although not from company accounts or from people who have registered as lobbyists.

That criticism has come from Common Cause, Democracy 21, the Washington Post editors, some reporters, and other liberal groups. But the protests have not prompted any Democratic legislators, judges or regulators to set curbs on the president’s meeting with his donors, or on his government decisions, which could help or hurt those donors.

Obama Now Blames his Guards for Closing White House Tours

President Barack Obama is blaming the U.S. Secret Service for the politically damaging decision to close the popular White House tours, and also suggested he would restart the tours.

“You know, I have to say this was not — a decision that went up to the White House,” he claimed in an interview broadcast Wednesday by ABC News.

“What the Secret Service explained to us was that they’re gonna have to furlough some folks,” he insisted to ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos, who worked as top aide to the nation’s previous Democratic president, Bill Clinton.

His claim clashes with a March 7 statement by his press secretary, Jay Carney, who declared that “the White House made the decision that we would, unfortunately, have to temporarily suspend these tours.”

Obama is now trying to backtrack.

“Well, what I’m asking them is are there ways, for example, for us to accommodate school groups — you know, who may have traveled here with some bake sales,” he said. “Can we make sure that — kids, potentially, can — can still come to tour?”

Cruz: Let’s See if Obama’s Willing to Shutdown Gov’t to Fund Obamacare

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) introduced an amendment on Wednesday that would cut off all funds for Obamacare, a step he said Republicans should support and, if it were to pass in the House as well, could be sent to President Barack Obama to see if he’s “willing to try to shut the government down” over funding of the Affordable Care Act.

“I think it’s the right position for Republicans to be taking,” Cruz told CNSNews.com. “And I think it would be exactly the right decision to then send it back to Harry Reid and President Obama and ask if Harry Reid and President Obama are willing to try to shut the government down in order to insist that Obamacare be fully funded now, even though it could well push us into a recession.”

“I think that is an important stand for principle that makes a difference in the lives of those who are struggling the most,” said the senator.

On Wednesday, Cruz introduced his de-fund Obamacare amendment to the continuing resolution (CR), which is a massive “must-pass” bill to keep the government funded for the rest of this fiscal year, from late March through the end of September.

Last week, the Republican-controlled House passed a $982-billion CR, but the GOP leadership set the rule and did not allow the must-pass CR to include language prohibiting funding for Obamacare or for de-funding the controversial Obamacare mandate that requires nearly all health plans to offer contraceptives, sterilization, and abortion-inducing drugs without co-payments.

NYT To Obama: Prohibit Pipeline to Choke-Off Oil Supply

The New York Times published an editorial on Sunday calling on President Barack Obama to prohibit construction of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline that would bring oil to the United States from Canada–but not to protect a fragile landscape in Nebraska or anywhere else in the United States.

The reason Obama should prohibit the pipeline, according to the Times, is to begin choking off America’s oil supply.

The paper thinks this is a good thing.

The Times was responding to a draft environmental impact statement on the latest version of the pipeline proposal that the State Department released a week ago. A year ago, the State Department rejected an earlier proposal from TransCanada, the company seeking to build the pipeline, because the route the company proposed at that time would have traversed the Sand Hills of Nebraska. TransCanada subsequently changed the route, and the State Department is now signaling that this new route would not cause significant environmental problems.

Under executive orders issued by past administrations, the president has assumed authority to approve pipelines that cross the international borders of the United States. The State Department carries out that authority.

Pope Successor Could Have Ties To Obama

Vatican Uses ‘Electronic Arsenal’ To Protect Sistine Chapel

For centuries the Roman Catholic Church counted on the walls of the Sistine Chapel to keep the process of electing a new pope secret. But the Vatican must now turn to an electronic arsenal in the face of tweeting cardinals and a year of crushing leaks.

Security is foremost as the red-hatted princes of the Church gather in Rome to elect the successor to Pope Benedict, the first pontiff in centuries to resign after a reign plagued by the ‘Vatileaks’ scandal, when his butler photocopied and leaked secret documents alleging corruption in the Holy See.

The word “conclave” means “with key” in Italian, and comes from a Latin term referring to a room that can be locked. But closed doors are no longer enough in the 21st century.

Workmen are preparing the Sistine Chapel, where the secret vote is expected to take place next week, by laying down a false floor over its ornate tiles and installing electronic jammers to block any signals escaping from within the 15th-century chapel, site of Michelangelo’s vast fresco “The Last Judgment.”

Prior to the vote, Vatican officials will sweep the chapel and the guesthouse that houses the cardinals with anti-bugging scanners to detect any hidden microphones.

Conclave Will Open To Uncertainty, No Clear Front-Runner

Cardinals enter the Sistine Chapel on Tuesday to elect the next pope amid more upheaval and uncertainty than the Catholic Church has seen in decades: There’s no front-runner, no indication how long voting will last and no sense that a single man has what it takes to fix the many problems.

On the eve of the vote, cardinals offered wildly different assessments of what they’re looking for in the next pontiff and how close they are to a decision. It was evidence that Benedict XVI’s surprise resignation has continued to destabilize the church leadership and that his final appeal for unity may go unheeded, at least in the early rounds of voting.

Cardinals held their final closed-door debate Monday over whether the church needs more of a manager to clean up the Vatican’s bureaucratic mess or a pastor to inspire the 1.2 billion faithful in times of crisis. The fact that not everyone got a chance to speak was a clear sign that there’s still unfinished business on the eve of the conclave.

“This time around, there are many different candidates, so it’s normal that it’s going to take longer than the last time,” Cardinal Francisco Javier Errazuriz of Chile told The Associated Press.

“There are no groups, no compromises, no alliances, just each one with his conscience voting for the person he thinks is best, which is why I don’t think it will be over quickly.” None of that has prevented a storm of chatter over who’s ahead.

Next Pope Could Have Direct Line To White House

The next Pope may not only have a direct line to the man upstairs — he could also have a direct line to the White House.

With hours to go before Tuesday’s start of the Conclave that will elect a successor for Pope Benedict XVI, Boston’s Cardinal Sean O’Malley has been attracting buzz both in the U.S. and in Vatican publications as a rising star and possible contender for the job, reports The Washington Post.

In the event that O’Malley is chosen in the white plume of smoke that emerges from the Sistine Chapel, he would not only be the first American to lead the Church’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics, he would also have an unlikely tie to President Barack Obama — O’Malley’s communications director, Terry Donilon, is the brother of U.S. National Security Adviser Tom Donilon.

“One Donilon brother working for the most powerful man on the planet and the other one could work for the most powerful religious leader on the planet?” Terry Donilon told the Post in a café by the Vatican. “Yeah, that’s kind of an interesting storyline.”

Socialist Party Magazine Profiles Abortion Clinic Promoted By Obama Campaign

A feminist abortion clinic that hosted a “Women for Obama” event where Obama volunteers helped with groundskeeping in a show of support for reproductive rights is profiled in the current issue of The Socialist, the official publication of the Socialist Party USA, in which a clinic official urges feminist socialists to “influence policy” and quotes a famous socialist writer.

The Emma Goldman Clinic in Iowa City, Iowa was the site of a Women for Obama event called “Iowa City Women for Obama Service Project at Emma Goldman Clinic,” which was promoted on the events page of Obama’s official 2012 campaign website.

“Please join women Obama supporters as we give back to those who support our reproductive rights by helping with groundskeeping at Emma Goldman Clinic. Old clothes and comfortable shoes are a must!,” the Obama campaign website reads. The event was hosted by Winnie Garet, former Obama for America staffer and current field organizer for the Democratic National Committee’s Organizing for America project.

The Emma Goldman Clinic, a member of the Feminist Abortion Network, was founded in 1973 by “a group of feminist idealists who strove for political, economic, and social equality for their clients.” The clinic also funds the Emma Goldman Clinic’s deProsse Access Fund, which helps low-income women obtain abortions.

Obamas Still Living The High Life Under the Sequester Cloud (+video)

It’s being reported that Adele and Beyonce have been booked to rock The White House on Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday. That should be some party . . .

It’s hard to believe that the politics of the sequester have worked out the way the Obama administration intended. Even their usually-reliable friends in the media have been skeptical, as this report from ABC News demonstrates:

Video: NBC’s Chuck Todd – Obama’s Actions Rarely Match His Words

photo credit: Ben HeineNBC’s White House corespondent Chuck Todd is pointing out that Barack Obama’s Organizing for Action group is a contradiction to the President’s own professed beliefs on money in politics.

Todd went on to say, “When it comes to Barack Obama’s views on money and politics, his actions have rarely matched his words.”

That’s harsh coming from a network that has been a virtual appendage of the Obama administration.
