Poll Shocker: You Won’t Believe How Many Pastors Actually Have a Biblical Worldview

A new poll shock has revealed that most Christian pastors believe what they want to believe, a “blending of ideas and applications from a variety of holistic worldviews into a unique but inconsistent combination that represents their personal preferences.”

That’s according to the new polling from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, directed by George Barna.

The results come from the American Worldview Inventory 2022 that contacted 1,000 Christian pastors to understand their worldviews.

“People have many expectations of pastors of Christian churches. One of those expectations is that pastors possess a philosophy of life that largely reflects biblical principles, a perspective commonly called a biblical worldview,” the report said.

“But a new nationwide survey among a representative sample of America’s Christian pastors shows that a large majority of those pastors do not possess a biblical worldview. In fact, just slightly more than a third (37%) have a biblical worldview and the majority – 62% – possess a hybrid worldview known as Syncretism.” (Read more from “Poll Shocker: You Won’t Believe How Many Pastors Actually Have a Biblical Worldview” HERE)

Majority of American Parents Do Not Believe the Bible Is God’s Word

A new survey led by evangelical researcher George Barna shows that only 40% of US parents consider the Bible to be “God’s accurate word for humanity,” the Christian Post (CP) reports.

“Shockingly few parents intentionally speak to their children about beliefs and behavior based upon a biblical worldview,” Barna said in a statement about the survey results. . .

The survey showed that 67% of the participant parents identified as Christians, but only 2% subscribed to a biblical worldview as defined by researchers and “emerges from accepting the Bible as a relevant and authoritative guide for life,” CP reports. ‘Breathtaking’ Bible Secret Hidden in Every Breath You Take

It can be called breathtaking, because it’s exactly that on all levels.

Every breath you take is packing an astonishing secret for your life not only at the present moment, but also for your glorious future, according to the best-selling author of a brand-new, inspiring book probing countless mysteries, including many from the Bible.

“We may not realize it, but every single breath we take should be filling us with amazement and hope because it’s not merely a physical action, it’s actually broadcasting a secret and impressive message from the Bible that few people ever consider,” says Joe Kovacs, author of “REACHING GOD SPEED: Unlocking the Secret Broadcast Revealing the Mystery of Everything.” . . .

“We already know inhaling fresh air into our lungs is what keeps us alive from moment to moment,” says Kovacs. “If our breathing completely stops, we physically die rather quickly. So breathing is a natural form of life support. Why is this? Because breath itself comes from God (it’s actually a representation of God), and He’s loaning it to us on a temporary basis in our current bodies made of dust.”

“To understand this, let’s go back to the beginning to be reminded of our ancient past: ‘And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being’ (Genesis 2:7 NKJV). Disgusting: Bible Museum Puts up Transgender Jesus Exhibit (VIDEO)

A German bible museum has created a controversial exhibit that displays Jesus Christ as being transgender.

“For some years now, society has been opening up to non-binary gender concepts. We sometimes have heated debates about gender-equitable language. It seems to be one of the burning issues of our time. Take a look at the diversity of gender identities from biblical and modern times and find a divine answer that fits all questions: You are good as you are,” the museum’s website says.

The Bibelhaus Frankfurt displays three artifacts from its transgender Jesus exhibit on their website including a 3,000-year-old clay statue of the Sumerian goddess Asherah, an image of the “new Adam,” and a statue of Austrian drag queen singer Conchita Wurst, real name Thomas Neuwirth, according to Fox News.

The artifacts are presented to suggest the more gender-fluid attitudes of ancient societies during biblical times.

Disappointing Study: Stunning Number of Americans Don’t Hold a Biblical Worldview

A new study by longtime evangelical Christian researcher George Barna finds that 94% of Americans do not hold a biblical worldview.

The study found that the most common worldview among Americans (88%) might best be termed syncretism, said Barna, describing it as a “disparate, irreconcilable collection of beliefs and behaviors that define people’s lives.”

Barna’s American Worldview Inventory was conducted by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, which Barna directs.

“Syncretism is a cut-and-paste approach to making sense of life,” he explained. “Rather than developing an internally consistent and philosophically coherent perspective, Americans embrace points of view or actions that feel comfortable or most convenient. Those beliefs and behaviors are often inconsistent, or even contradictory, but few Americans seemed troubled by that.” . . .

“Most people seem more interested in living a life of comfort and convenience,” he noted. “The progress will be slow, but people who are willing to fight for a more reasonable way of thinking and acting can make a difference.” (Read more from “Disappointing Study: Stunning Number of Americans Don’t Hold a Biblical Worldview” HERE)

Student Activists Enraged at Conservative Group for Putting Bible Verses in Easter Eggs

A conservative student group at the University of North Texas (UNT) received threats after they placed 250 Easter eggs filled with Bible verses around campus.

A slew of left-wing activists announced on social media that they would compete to see who could capture and destroy the most eggs. One student went as far as to message the YCT chairwoman and tell her to kill herself.

“Time to stomp some eggs,” one student tweeted. “Time to do a capture the egg challenge everyone,” another said. . .

The YCT members were shocked at how much pushback the egg hunt received. The group’s chairwoman, Kelly Neidert, told The Daily Wire that Easter eggs with Bible verses “shouldn’t be this controversial.”

“This was intended to be a fun event for everyone. You don’t need to be a Christian to read an uplifting Bible verse and appreciate it,” Neidert said. “One student even messaged and told me to kill myself over this event, which was a little upsetting because some Bible verse Easter eggs shouldn’t be this controversial.” (Read more from “Student Activists Enraged at Conservative Group for Putting Bible Verses in Easter Eggs” HERE)

Was ‘Oldest Bible in the World’ Mistakenly Dismissed as Fake?

It’s being called “the most controversial cold case mystery in the history of biblical scholarship” involving possibly “the most significant archaeological discovery of all time.”

New research is shining fresh light on what may have been the oldest portion of the Bible ever found, perhaps Moses’ own copy of Deuteronomy, a version that was initially dismissed as a forgery. . .

“It was allegedly discovered by bedouin tribesmen around 1865, east of the Dead Sea, in a remote cave, high above the Wadi Mujib (biblical Arnon). Shapira believed that his manuscript was both ancient and authentic. In 1883, he presented his scroll to the leading scholars of Europe. Newspapers around the world covered the unfolding story as scholars debated the genuineness of the leather strips. Ultimately the scroll was deemed a forgery and Shapira the forger.” . . .

Nichols, an ordained minister and teacher of the Hebrew faith in St. Francisville, Louisiana, says the case might have remained closed were it not for an astonishing find eight decades after the reported discovery of Shapira’s scroll.

“That discovery was also made by bedouin, but in a cave west of the Dead Sea. Those scrolls proved to be unquestionably authentic and were more than 2,000 years old. The world now knows them as the Dead Sea Scrolls. We must now ask, ‘Could the nineteenth-century scholars have been wrong about Shapira’s scroll?'” (Read more from “Was ‘Oldest Bible in the World’ Mistakenly Dismissed as Fake?” HERE)

Portland Sees 150-Round Shooting at Apartment Building, as Crowds Continue Violent Clashes With Police

By Fox News. More than 150 rounds were fired and one woman was shot in Portland on Friday night while protesters on Saturday – some of whom appeared to impersonate press – threw glass bottles and shined lasers at city police officers sent to quell the nighttime unrest witnessed for more than two months straight.

Saturday marked the third night of federal and state law enforcement cooperation in Portland, as the Department of Homeland Security continues to weigh plans to withdraw from the liberal Oregon city. It was the 64th straight day of violent demonstrations and rioting in Portland.

A shooting rang out about 11:08 p.m. Friday outside an apartment building near the 600 Block of NE 87th Avenue. The Portland Police Bureau said in an update Saturday that more than 150 rounds were fired and bullets struck at least eight occupied apartments and seven vehicles. One round struck a woman in the arm, and responding officers applied a tourniquet before she was transported to the hospital by ambulance with injuries that were not life-threatening.

“This is America and it’s a war zone with 150 shots in an apartment complex close to a Christian university. How can we explain that?” Aragon Marks, who lives at the building, told Fox 12 Oregon. New Poll Shows That Half of America Believes the Bible Should Influence Our Laws

The U.S. Constitution does not mention the Bible, God, Jesus or Christianity, and the First Amendment clarifies that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.” Still, some scholars have argued that the Bible heavily influenced America’s founders.

Today, about half of Americans (49%) say the Bible should have at least “some” influence on U.S. laws, including nearly a quarter (23%) who say it should have “a great deal” of influence, according to a recent Pew Research Center survey. Among U.S. Christians, two-thirds (68%) want the Bible to influence U.S. laws at least some, and among white evangelical Protestants, this figure rises to about nine-in-ten (89%).

At the other end of the spectrum, there’s broad opposition to biblical influence on U.S. laws among religiously unaffiliated Americans, also known as religious “nones,” who identify as atheist, agnostic or “nothing in particular.” Roughly three-quarters in this group (78%) say the Bible should hold little to no sway, including 86% of self-described atheists who say the Bible should not influence U.S. legislation at all. Two-thirds of U.S. Jews, as well, think the Bible should have not much or should have no influence on laws. More Evidence of Noah’s Flood: Trees From High in the Himalayas Found Half Mile Below Sea Floor

The remains of ancient forests have been discovered deep beneath the sea, thousands of miles from their mountainous origins, with scientists finding 19 million-year-old wood chips in sediment layers at the bottom of the Bay of Bengal.

Researchers led by Sarah Feakins, from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, drilled down over two miles from the surface of the ocean, retrieving sediments from half a mile beneath the sea floor. By analyzing the core sample, the team was able to look at how trees were swept into the ocean millions of years ago before getting trapped in the ground.

By looking at the wood chips in the core, the team was able to determine where the trees had come from. In most cases, they found the wood was from trees that grew in lowlands, near the ocean. However, one layer was found to have wood from trees that would have grown high in the Himalayan mountains, about two miles above sea level.

In their study, published in PNAS, the team argues that trees within an ancient forest were uprooted by a huge release of water—potentially by a natural dam created by a glacier or a landslide. These trees would have then been transported for thousands of miles along a huge surge of water—from cyclones, monsoons or floods, the scientists suggest—before being released in the Bengal Fan.
