New York Times Profile Scrubs Valerie Jarrett’s Radical Ties

Photo Credit: WNDA New York Times profile of Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s top aide, glosses over her family’s radical history, including ties to a top communist activist and to former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers.

The profile, from September 2012, received newfound media attention earlier this week after BuzzFeed.com reported White House efforts to defend Jarrett behind the scenes by circulating glowing talking points about her to other administration officials who were candidates to be interviewed for the Times piece.

The talking points, titled “The Magic of Valerie,” were documented in an upcoming book by Times reporter Mark Leibovich.

“The magic of Valerie is her intellect and her heart,” read the document.

“She is an incredibly kind, caring and thoughtful person with a unique ability to pinpoint the voiceless and shine a light on them and the issues they and the President care about with the ultimate goal of making a difference in people’s lives,” memo said.

Bill Ayers: Try Obama for War Crimes (+video)

Bill Ayers believes President Obama gets a “failing grade” for his presidency, and should be tried for “war crimes,” along with all living presidents who have engaged in acts of “terrorism” abroad.

Sitting down for an episode of RealClearPolitics’ “Morning Commute,” Ayers told host Charlie Stone that, on policy, Obama receives a “failing grade” along with the “F-minuses” he’s given previous presidents like George W. Bush and Richard Nixon…

“Do you think Barack Obama should be put on trial for war crimes?” Stone asked.

“Absolutely,” the activist answered. “Every president in this century should be on trial for war crimes. Every one of them goes into an office dripping with blood.”

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama’s alleged contacts with Ayers became a source of controversy, with the Republican ticket focusing a great deal on Ayers’ past association with the violent Weather Underground organization during the Vietnam War.

Obama’s Buddy, Domestic Terrorist Bill Ayers, Says His Weather Underground Bombings Were Different than Boston Bombings

Photo Credit: Jerome PhillipsThis weekend, domestic terrorist Bill Ayers was the keynote speaker at the commemoration of the National Guard Shootings at Kent State in 1970. He answered questions of reporters following the speech.

Ayers, an extreme leftist, has a long relationship with Obama. According to a retired federal employee, the Ayers family put Obama through school. Additionally, Ayers himself has directly contradicted the President in claiming to have put on at least one political fundraiser for Obama. There are allegations of many other intimate connections between Obama and Ayers as well.

During his speech at Kent State, Ayers defended the Weather Underground bombings implying that they were morally superior to the Boston Marathon Bombings in that no one was killed. He then analogizes Newtown to innocent shooting at a range to prove his point: ““How different is the shooting in Connecticut from shooting at a hunting range? Just because they use the same thing, there’s no relationship at all.”

Ayers conveniently forgets the self-inflicted killing of his three friends, including his girlfriend Diana Oughton, who accidentally detonated a nail bomb they were assembling in Greenwich Village. He also omits that the presumed target of the horrific bomb was a military dance at Fort Dix, New Jersey.

With friends like this, nothing Obama does should surprise us.

Bill Ayers to Keynote Nat’l Association of Teacher Educators Annual Meeting

By Rebel Pundit. Domestic terrorist Bill Ayers is set to be a keynote speaker at the annual meeting for the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) next month in Atlanta, GA.

ATE’s website for the meeting describes Ayers’ work on the topic of education. It fails to mention any of his prior radical activities, including his domestic terrorism activities, political actions from his days in the Weather Underground, or that he is a self-proclaimed “Communist–with a lower case c.”

By whitewashing the most prominent aspects of Ayers’s resume and passing off a domestic terrorist as an appropriate and benign speaker at their meeting, ATE is taking a radical political position. Read more from this story HERE.

You can read more about about the Association of Teacher Educators HERE. The announcement for Ayer’s keynote states that he is a

formerly Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), founder of both the Small Schools Workshop and the Center for Youth and Society, has written extensively about social justice, democracy and education, the cultural contexts of schooling, and teaching as an essentially intellectual, ethical, and political enterprise.

His articles have appeared in numerous scholarly and popular journals, and his books include Teaching Toward Freedom; A Kind and Just Parent; Fugitive Days; On the Side of the Child; Teaching the Personal and the Political; (with Ryan Alexander-Tanner) To Teach: The Journey, in Comics; (with Kevin Kumashiro, Erica Meiners, Therese Quinn, and David Stovall) Teaching Toward Democracy; (with Bernardine Dohrn) Race Course. Edited books include (with Janet Miller) A Light in Dark Times: Maxine Greene and the Unfinished Conversation; (with Therese Quinn and Jean Ann Hunt) Teaching for Social Justice; and (with Therese Quinn and David Stovall) the Handbook of Social Justice in Education.

Video: Bill Ayers Says The Left Must Utilize Its ‘Absolute Access’ to America’s Classrooms

Bill Ayers, former domestic terrorist-turned university professor, reemerged earlier this month to explain how the Left’s access to schools and neighborhoods will help them shape the future of America. Speaking at a New York University “Change the Stakes” meeting on Dec. 4, he said the Left must utilize the existing “movements on the ground.”

In the video, obtained by EAGnews.org, Ayers also first blasts conservatives for portraying President Barack Obama as a “secret Muslim” and a “secret sociopath,” running around with “terrorists and Arabs.” He lamented the fact that many liberals felt like Obama was “winking” at them while he portrayed himself as a compromising moderate – but Obama ended up disappointing the far left, according to Ayers.

“The same people, and I’m sure some of us in this room, are saying, ‘But the second term he’ll be free,’” he said. “Forget about it. That’s not where change comes from.”

“If we want change to come, we would do well not to look at the sites of power we have no access to; the White House, the Congress, the Pentagon,” Ayers added. “We have absolute access to the community, the school, the neighborhood, the street, the classroom, the workplace, the shop, the farm.”
