Pro-Communist China Group Funding BLM-Linked Organization

The pro-communist China group, the Chinese Progressive Association (CPA) in San Francisco, is actively funding a venture by Black Lives Matter (BLM) co-founder and unabashedly anti-capitalist Alicia Garza.

On Tuesday, the Daily Signal first revealed that the Marxist-oriented CPA in San Francisco was handling donations for the Black Futures Lab group, described as the lobbying arm of Garza’s global “revolutionary empire.”

Clicking on the “Donate” button of the project’s website redirects visitors to a San Francisco CPA page that says, “Black Futures Lab is a fiscally sponsored project of the Chinese Progressive Association. CPA is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization.”

The San Francisco-based CPA has reported millions of dollars in contributions in recent years. CPA is no stranger to the BLM movement. In June, the state-sponsored newspaper China Daily heaped praised on CPA members for supporting a BLM demonstration in San Francisco. . .

An authoritative 2009 Stanford University paper on the 1972 origins of CPA revealed that the organization began as a promoter of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). However, the report indicated that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the founding and sole government political party of the PRC, did not control nor direct the group at the start. How Detroit’s Police Chief Saved His City From Black Lives Matter

Detroit Will Breathe, the Motor City’s BLM franchisee, won a hollow victory last week when a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order that bars Detroit police from using certain non-lethal tactics on “peaceful protesters.”

Detroit police chief James Craig responded to the TRO with a shrug. It changes nothing, he told reporters, because that’s how his department always handles peaceful protesters. “Every time we’ve had to use less-than-lethal force, it’s been to address violence by protesters, resisting arrest, or when they’ve tried to take over an intersection in violation of the law.” . . .

A few weeks ago, bored with peacefully marching all over without a news crew in sight, DWB decided to try occupying a major downtown intersection. After an hour of demonstrators defying orders to disperse, police moved in and arrested 44 DWB members, encountering the predictable violent resistance. When the inevitable hue and cry was raised over how rough some of the arrests were (“I’ve never seen a use of force that looks good,” Craig remarked), the chief stood his ground. “I am not going to let any group set up a Seattle zone of lawlessness here in the city of Detroit,” Craig said. “That is non-negotiable.” . . .

t the news briefing the day after the failed occupation, Deputy Chief Todd Bettison’s message for the group was also short and to the point: “Detroit Will Breathe, you are not welcome. Go.” Area leftists, who called Bettison’s message “blunt, if not anti-democratic,” took issue with the suggestion that most Detroiters weren’t happy with DWB’s agenda. The Metro Times, the area’s pinkish entertainment tabloid, argued illogically that Detroiters must support the protests because they’re “organized by Detroit activists.”

Because even the activists didn’t believe that, they quickly ran to federal court and filed a lawsuit against the police department, the city, Craig, and about a hundred officers, alleging they’d been victims of “excessive force,” arrested “en masse” without probable cause, and variously maltreated for no other reason than their peaceable stand against systemic racism. Federal lawsuits are a surefire way to attract media attention, at least for one news cycle; and even if you’re sure to lose in the end, you can demand an injunction on the first day, pleading all sorts of ugly stuff the other side must be immediately stopped from doing. If the judge grants your injunction (they’re temporary, and this one is for only two weeks), you get to claim victory. The Awful Tweet a Progressive Think Tank Posted in the Aftermath of the LA Sheriff Deputies Ambush

. . .There is a war on cops. It’s getting people killed. And these left-wing thugs wonder why their agenda is not sticking with voters. First, not even Black Americans want police departments to be defunded. Even Al Sharpton said this was only a serious point of discussion among the latte-sipping lefties (i.e., the insufferable white liberal elite).

And now, The Gravel Institute, a progressive think tank, actually thought this was a good thing to post on Twitter.

Straight Outta Marxism: BLM Protesters Take Over Grocery Store to Protest Lack of ‘Access’ to Grocery Stores

Black Lives Matter activists occupied a Trader Joe’s in Seattle this week, claiming to be protesting “lack of access to grocery stores” and explaining to patrons “how capitalism exploits the working class.”

That “capitalism” line is straight from Marxism. BLM founders do admit to being “trained Marxists.” Their training is trickling down.

Back to Trader Joe’s in Seattle:

This comes as leftists conflate Trader Joe’s and gentrification, according to The Atlantic in a 2019 article on the “conflicts between white Portlanders and long-time black residents” over “widening bicycle lanes” and “the construction of a new Trader Joe’s.”

Nearly Half of Voters Consider BLM Protests as Riots

More voters consider Black Lives Matter demonstrations in three cities to be riots instead of protests, according to a Fox News poll released Sunday.

The poll found that 48% of likely voters viewed the demonstrations in New York, Portland, and Kenosha, Wisconsin, as riots, while 40% viewed the demonstrations as protests.

The poll also broke down views based on political affiliation, with 68% of Republicans calling the demonstrations riots. Only 30% of Democrats said the same.

Of the respondents, 39% blamed the violence on “left-wing radicals,” while 33% blamed “right-wing radicals.” Another 9% of respondents placed the blame on both sides.

The poll found that 52% of white voters called the demonstrations riots, but 62% of black voters and 48% of Hispanic voters viewed them as protests. (Read more from “Nearly Half of Voters Consider BLM Protests as Riots” HERE)

Inside the Privileged Lives of Protesters Busted for Rioting in Manhattan

The so-called revolutionaries who were busted for rioting at a New Afrikan Black Panther Party rally took a break from their yacht club lives and modeling careers to be a part of the mayhem.

The seven “comrades” — including wealthy Upper East Sider Clara Kraebber — had their mugshots tweeted out by the NYPD early Wednesday, days after their arrests for smashing storefront windows in the Flatiron District.

They were cuffed during a protest organized by the Panthers and the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement groups condemning the death of Daniel Prude, who was killed while in custody of the Rochester Police Department in March.

Aside from Kraebber, the redhead daughter of an architect and a child psychiatrist with a second home in Connecticut, five of the others arrested appear to also come from privileged backgrounds — leading one police source to call their actions “the height of hypocrisy.”

Frank Fuhrmeister, 30, of Stuyvesant Heights, charged with rioting and possession of a graffiti instrument, is a freelance art director who’s designed ads for Joe Coffee and has also worked for Pepsi, Samsung and The Glenlivet, among other high-profile brands, his LinkedIn profile and portfolio show. Who Is the BLM Global Network Foundation?; BLM Doesn’t Really Care About Black Lives Lost Unless Group Can Blame Police

By Townhall. . .Did you know there was a BLM organization? Well, there is, and it’s named Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation.

Now, you might think the organization is synonymous with the movement, but that’s not the case, so I want to be clear about separating the movement from the organization. There’s a movement of people who are protesting police brutality with the intent of articulating that Black lives should matter equally to all other lives. Then there’s the BLM organization, and the two aren’t synonymous. No one knows what the BLM organization does or how it spends its money, but one thing we do know is that it gets a lot of money and from Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Nabisco, Gatorade, Airbnb and Warner record labels, a music record company. Microsoft donated $250,000; Airbnb gave $500,000; Nabisco gave $500,000. In total, millions of dollars were given to this group. Are funds going towards salaries? Are funds going towards civic engagement or social community programs for needy families? The reality is no one knows because there’s no transparency. However, there should be, and let me tell you why.

The creators of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation believe, maintain and teach values that are undemocratic and antithetical to America’s beliefs and ideals. They teach against the idea of a nuclear family with a father and mother in the household and instead espouse the benefits of what they refer to as a “village.” I have no idea what that means. Still, the idea that we shouldn’t continue to reinforce the importance of a two-parent household is absurd. It goes against statistical data on children’s success.

In a 2015 video, BLM Global Network Foundation co-founder Patrisse Cullors said that she and her fellow co-founders were “trained Marxists.” Marxism formed the basis for communism; it’s what Lenin based his ideology on in Russia. If that’s not anti-American and anti-democratic, then I’m not sure what is. And $1 million in donations to an organization that isn’t required to be transparent with their expenditures is problematic, particularly because of the values they espouse and their mission of spreading those extremist views to America’s youth. Rob Smith: Black Lives Matter Doesn’t Really Care About Black Lives Lost Unless Group Can Blame Police

By Fox News. Black Lives Matter has become a major political force during this intense election year, getting favorable coverage in the left-wing media as its foot soldiers have been at the center of violent riots, looting, protests and other unrest breaking out in recent months. But while BLM claims to benefit Black Americans, the truth is that it actually hurts us.

BLM’s cult-like tactics are more like those of a violent gang than a traditional civil rights group fighting against racial discrimination. The organization refuses to acknowledge the Black lives lost in the violence it has engaged in. It refuses to acknowledge the tragedy of Black lives lost to criminals. It focuses solely on far smaller number of Black people injured or killed in encounters with police.

Growing numbers of Black Americans are starting to wake up to this hypocrisy. Do most Black people actually support Black Lives Matter? . . .

BLM has established itself as the prism through which Blacks in America view ourselves — and is attempting to define us. The message we are getting is: if you are a Black American and you are not completely on board with every single thing that is done or said to advocate for this organization, then you are not Black, or you are not Black enough, or you hate yourself. . .

I have a problem with this because there should be no organization or movement that has that much power over any group of people. I was born Black and will always be Black. No one has the right to tell me that my race requires me to support a certain group, cause, political ideology or candidate. Black Man’s Business Destroyed by BLM Despite ‘Black Owned’ Sign

Jesse Barksdale, the owner of JRibs on State Street in Rochester, New York, is “livid” about the destruction of his business at the hands of Black Lives Matter rioters early Sunday morning.

Barksdale himself is black, and had a sign posted outside his business that read, “Proud to be Black Owned.”

JRibs is a versatile storefront, serving food, offering convenience store products, and serving as a U-Haul rental location. Barksdale arrived to the scene o find his three U-Haul trucks in flames.

Good afternoon Rochester,
Last night our business fell victim to violence spurred by misdirected anger. I wanted to…

Popular Airline to Wear BLM Attire

American Airlines on Sunday announced that it will allow their flight attendants to wear “Black Lives Matter” pins on their uniform while on duty. In addition, the company is also working to design its own pin that will show its symbolic support of a diverse and inclusive work environment.

“Clearly we live in a time where it is so important to have a dialogue about this important issue of racism in our society and try to find common ground,” AA wrote in a company-wide announcement. “American is truly committed to having an inclusive culture that is welcoming to all and a reflection of our country and world.” . . .

But the announcement has prompted pushback from some of American’s staffers who have relatives who are police officers and view BLM as an anti-police movement.

“I take offense to this,” one flight attendant said to airline management in an email obtained by The New York Post. “Serious offense. My husband is a LEO (Law Enforcement Officer), as was my deceased father and as far as I’m concerned ALL LIVES MATTER.”

“I am completely disgusted at the fact that we can’t show support for our GOD, our COUNTRY, our LEOs but when it comes to BLM organization (which is controversial in itself), American Airlines says that’s obviously different,” she wrote. “How is that right? Well, I don’t feel included.” (Read more from “Popular Airline to Wear BLM Attire” HERE)

48 of America’s 50 Largest Cities Hit by Black Lives Matter Riots

New data from Princeton University show that riots associated with the Black Lives Matter movement took place in 48 out of the 50 largest cities in the United States.

The study found:

In more than 93% of all demonstrations connected to the movement, demonstrators have not engaged in violence or destructive activity. Peaceful protests are reported in over 2,400 distinct locations around the country. Violent demonstrations, meanwhile, have been limited to fewer than 220 locations — under 10% of the areas that experienced peaceful protests.

Mainstream media seized on the data last week to argue that the “Trump narrative” of violent demonstrations was false. The study itself speculated that public perceptions of riots were skewed by “political orientation and biased media framing” and “disproportionate coverage of violent demonstrations.” . . .

The Princeton data set shows that nearly every major city in the United States experienced riots from late May to the end of August — even under the narrow definition that the study used to classify riots (as separate from events described as police violence against protesters).
