Celebrities Come Together in Support of Bullied Boy After Video Goes Viral

A Tennessee woman’s video of her son’s tearful recounting of being bullied at middle school has prompted a wave of support from athletes and entertainers. One star is even going as far as to reward the young boy in a big way.

Kimberly Jones said in a Facebook post Friday she had just picked up her son, Keaton, from school because he was too afraid to go to lunch.

The video of Keaton had more than 18 million views as of Sunday, and a crowdsourcing page for his future education has raised more than $29,000.

The post has gone so viral that celebrities far and wide are taking notice and offering their support to young Keaton. However, one star is going above and beyond to reward the young boy for his persevearance. Chris Evans, who will reprise his role as Captain America in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War,” took to Twitter to not only share his support, but to invite the young boy to Los Angeles for the film’s premiere.

“Stay strong, Keaton. Don’t let them make you turn cold. I promise it gets better,” the star wrote. “While those punks at your school are deciding what kind of people they want to be in this world, how would you and your mom like to come to the Avengers premiere in LA next year?”

Young Children Could Face Bullying Charges in City

Children as young as kindergarten-age could face misdemeanor charges for bullying under a proposed law advancing in a Southern California city.

The Carson City Council gave preliminary approval this week to an ordinance that would target anyone from kindergarten to age 25 who makes another person feel “terrorized, frightened, intimidated, threatened, harassed or molested” with no legitimate purpose.

A final vote is set for May 20, according to the Daily Breeze (https://bit.ly/1g3JLNT ).

First-time offenders could be ticketed for an infraction and fined $100. A second infraction would cost $200, and a third-time offense could bring a criminal misdemeanor charge.

“If a child is bullying someone, and a parent has to pay a $100 fine as a result of that, a responsible parent will realize their child needs some help,” said Councilman Mike Gipson, who introduced the ordinance and is spearheading a campaign to make Carson bully-free.

Fifth-Grade Football Team Stands Up For Bullied Waterboy (+video)

Photo Credit: danxoneilIt’s Band of Brothers meets the Rat Pack, and it’s the most inspiring story you’ll see this week. When members of the Bridgewater (CT) Badgers fifth-grade football team learned that their waterboy, kindergartner Danny Keefe, was being bullied, they did what you’d expect: dress up in suits, ties and fedoras and rally to his defense. Wait, what?

School Bans Religious Graduation Songs After Complaint They Were “Bullying”

Photo Credit: schwglrA Georgia school district will no longer allow prayers or songs with religious references at graduation ceremonies after a Wisconsin group threatened to file a lawsuit and suggested that forcing non-Christian students to listen to religious music was a form of bullying.

“If the valedictorians want to thank their parents, grandparents and god, that’s freedom of speech,” Houston County Superintendent Robin Hines told the Macon Telegraph. “We can’t stop that. As long as it’s not lewd, they can say whatever they want.”

The Freedom From Religion Foundation sent the school district a letter complaining that last year’s graduation ceremony included prayers and a musical performance of a song written by a Christian artist.

“It is wholly inappropriate for Christian worship songs to be performed in a public school setting or at public school events,” wrote FFRF attorney Andrew Seidel. “There are a multitude of secular songs that would be appropriate.”

The FFRF took offense to “Find Your Wings,” a song written by well-known Christian artist Mark Harris, arguing that it was a blatantly religious song that “belongs in a church, not a public school event.”

Zimmerman Brother: Obama ‘Bullied’ My Family (+video)

Photo Credit: Breitbart George Zimmerman was back in court today for a hearing on the start date for his trial on murder charges. Zimmerman, of course, was the Hispanic neighborhood watchman in Sanford, Florida, who trailed a young black man named Trayvon Martin after calling 911, got into an altercation with Martin in which Martin ended up pounding Zimmerman’s head into the pavement, and then ended up shooting Martin in the chest. The media used the Zimmerman case as an opportunity to bully Americans over their supposed racial intolerance. Even the President of the United States weighed in in the midst of an election cycle, suggesting that if he had a son, he’d look like Trayvon Martin.

Breitbart News had the opportunity to sit down for a one-on-one interview with George’s brother, Robert, in Los Angeles. Excerpts of that interview played tonight on Fox News’ Hannity.

Robert didn’t pull any punches about President Obama’s role in raising the threat level to his brother – and to his family. “We do feel that we’re threatened,” Robert told Breitbart News. “There’s not been a legal resolution in this matter. And even the day that there is legal resolution in this matter, the day that happens I don’t think that every single fear of some kind of retribution will simply just go way, but we’re coping as bets we can, day by day.”

Missouri School Tells Mom That Girl, 13, Should Get a Breast Reduction

Not all school bullies are students — some work there.

Tammie Jackson phoned a Missouri school district to say that her daughter Gabrielle, 13, was routinely harassed because of her large breasts. But the alleged response from an employee horrified the already worried mother.

“The lady on the phone said they could transfer my daughter and said her boobs were so large she will always get teased. And the only suggestion she had for me is to have my daughter get a breast reduction,” Jackson told local Fox-affiliate KTVI.

Bullies at Central Middle School in Moline Acres, near St. Louis, make lewd and insensitive comments about Gabrielle’s large breasts, her mother claimed.

Jackson expected the school to look into the issue and tell the suspects to stop humiliating the sixth-grade girl. Instead, Jackson said the blame was placed unfairly on Gabrielle, the victim, rather than the bullies.

Video: Children Bullying, Assaulting Public School Teacher Caught on Camera

The video uploaded to YouTube is of an incident two weeks ago. It is obviously recorded on a phone by a student in a classroom; Baltimore City Schools confirms it is from Digital Harbor High School in Federal Hill.

You can watch as the female student flicks at and taunts the substitute teacher at the front of the room.

Then you can see the teacher dodging something that comes at her…all to the giggles and laughter of the rest of the class.

“My initial response was again, disgust.”

Marietta English is the head of the teachers union in Baltimore city.

She’s seen the video and says it happens more often than you think.

“Respect for adults. Somewhere there’s just, no civility. They don’t even respect the adults in the classroom who are trying to deliver a lesson and this is the battle we fight,” said English. Read more from this story HERE.
