Discovery Channel Laments Co-Producing Chinese Propaganda Covering Up Uyghur Genocide

Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc., the parent company of the Discovery Channel, appeared to express remorse in a letter to members of Congress made public on Thursday about its decision to co-produce a travel program with Chinese state media focused on occupied East Turkistan, where the Communist Party has been engaging in genocidal activities since at least 2017.

The Discovery Channel entered an agreement with CGTN, a Chinese government propaganda outlet, to produce a documentary released in January called World’s Ultimate Frontier, showcasing the breathtaking desert and mountain landscapes of East Turkistan. China refers to East Turkistan, a formerly free state colonized by mass murderer Mao Zedong, by the Mandarin name “Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region,” or XUAR. The documentary claims to portray the “real Xinjiang,” as opposed to the reality that human rights activists and journalists have uncovered throughout the past decade of a genocidal police state littered with concentration camps, slave-worked farms, and high-tech mass surveillance.

“What comes to mind when you think of Xinjiang? Vast expanses of desert, towering mountains, diverse minorities living in harmony, cultures fusing together?” CGTN asks in its promotional video on the documentary.

“The fact is that Xinjiang has so many facets that its charm can hardly be captured in words! Thankfully anyone interested in experiencing the real Xinjiang is in for a treat when the documentary World’s Ultimate Frontier is aired on January 19.”

CGTN deleted its preview article and video on the documentary series shortly after its debut, as it attracted the attention of members of Congress, who questioned the Discovery Channel’s role in promoting the series. The series remains online, however, on CGTN’s YouTube channel, with no overt mentions of the Discovery Channel’s role in the production.

‘Blood Money’: Two of the Biggest Funders of the Radical Transgender Movement in the U.S. Are China-Linked Billionaires

Pro-Beijing groups financially backed by two China-linked billionaires are pushing the radical transgender movement as a means of advancing a Marxist agenda in the United States, seven-time New York Times bestselling author Peter Schweizer reveals in his new book Blood Money: Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans.

In Blood Money, Schweizer, who is a Breitbart News senior contributor and the president of the Government Accountability Institute, reveals China’s multi-pronged, covert attack on America. In Chapter 6, called “Destabilizing Democracy,” Schweizer explores how two billionaires, China-based American Neville Roy Singham and Alibaba co-founder Joseph Tsai, prop up radical activists groups that use transgenderism as a weapon against the “capitalist order.”

Schweizer first focuses on Singham, who grew up in Jamaica and Detroit, Michigan, and as a young man adopted communist ideological views, joining the League of Revolutionary Black Workers (LRBW). Singham ended up creating a software business named Thoughtworks, while also serving as a “strategic technical consultant” for Huawei, the Chinese military-linked tech company.

Thoughtworks eventually opened an office in Beijing; and in 2010, it held its Software Development Conference in China’s capital city. However, Singham ended up selling the company in 2017, a sale which was a “financial boon” for him and enabled him to dump money into various companies in China, where he now lives, according to Blood Money.

Hunter Biden’s Chinese Legal ‘Client’ Threatens to Sue Unless First Son Pays Back $1 Million

Hunter Biden was paid $1 million by Chinese firm CEFC to act as attorney for their employee, Dr Patrick Ho, but now Ho is threatening to sue the first son within seven days unless he gets the money back — because he claims Hunter did no legal work for him.

Ho sent a legal letter to Hunter last week requesting that their attorney-client agreement be terminated immediately and threatening legal action unless he receives a detailed list of services provided by Hunter and reimbursement for the unused funds, as laid out in the 2017 contract.

Ho’s letter, sent by Hong Kong law firm Huen & Partners to Hunter’s attorney Abbe Lowell in Washington, DC, set a deadline of seven days for the repayment of any remaining funds.

“Patrick says he paid him, and that Hunter never did anything for him,” a friend of Ho’s told The Post, “and that according to the contract the money should be reimbursed.”

The $1 million legal retainer was wired from CEFC in China to CEFC’s Hong Kong HSBC account, and then, on November 2, 2017, to the American bank account of Hudson West III (HWIII) the firm Hunter co-owned with CEFC, and then to Hunter’s private firm, Owasco, according to his California tax indictment. Joe Biden Got $40K From China Funds, Brother James Admits in Bombshell Impeachment Interview

First brother James Biden confirmed during his impeachment inquiry testimony that a $40,000 check made out to former Vice President Joe Biden in 2017 used funds James received from a Chinese government-linked company — while James also revealed he received overseas income as recently as last year.

James, 74, insisted that he didn’t believe the company, CEFC China Energy, was controlled by Beijing — claiming that “I just misspoke” when telling the IRS in a 2022 interview that first son Hunter Biden, who was partnering with his uncle, had described CEFC chairman Ye Jianming as a “protégé” of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Where did you believe the source of the money that was going into [Hunter Biden’s company] Owasco, prior to being sent to you, was coming from?” an investigator asked James during the Feb. 21 interview, according to an official transcript released Friday.

“CEFC,” James conceded — following an extended back-and-forth in which the first brother’s attorney Paul Fishman tried to argue that “money’s fungible” before being reminded by a House staffer that James “did not have sufficient funds” to make the $40,000 alleged loan repayment on his own, “so it is traceable.”

The interview also established that James Biden received $840,000 over four transfers between November 2022 and July 2023 from Argentinian businessman Jose Luis Manzano, which the first brother said came from selling half of his stake in Manzano’s holding of Argentinian natural gas company Metrogas. U.S. defenses in the Asia-Pacific center on a defense line running from Japan to Philippines to Taiwan and on to Borneo. The so-called First Island Chain.

Try defending against China along the first island chain without a secure “rear area” in the Central Pacific. And suppose it’s the Chinese in the rear.

American control of the Central Pacific depends on three treaties – known as Compacts of Free Association (COFA) – with three nations: Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, and Republic of Marshall Islands. These nations and their huge maritime territory comprise most of an “east-west corridor” from Hawaii to the western edge of the Pacific that is essential for U.S. control and military operations in the region. . .

As part of the agreements, the three nations receive financial and other support from the U.S., to include the right of citizens to reside and work in America. Chinese Company Disbursed Millions to Hunter Biden’s Associate Following Lunch Meeting Attended by Joe Biden

A Chinese company paid a Hunter Biden partner millions of dollars shortly after Joe Biden “stopped by” a 2017 lunch meeting involving business associates from China and the U.S., according to newly-released testimony.

Joe Biden briefly attended a 2017 private lunch meeting between Hunter Biden, Rob Walker and other business associates — including those from Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-linked energy firm CEFC — hosted at the Four Seasons hotel in Washington, D.C., Walker told the House Oversight and Accountability Committee on Jan. 26, according to a transcript of his testimony released Tuesday. A company connected to CEFC wired Walker’s LLC approximately $3 million not long after that meeting occurred, with a portion of those funds subsequently routed to members of the Biden family.

Walker characterized Joe Biden’s attendance as innocuous, brief and coincidental, asserting that no business matters were discussed in his presence, according to the transcript of his testimony. CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming, who has since disappeared, was at the lunch meeting, Walker said.

Once the CEFC-connected firm paid Walker the $3 million, he subsequently routed slightly more than $1 million to another business partner in a single transaction, he testified. However, Hunter Biden requested that Walker send him his cut of the payment in smaller installments, Walker said.

The meeting was meant to help Hunter Biden and his associates “[discuss] ways we could work together” with the Chinese businessmen because there was not yet a “structured deal” between the two sides, Walker testified. Hunter Biden had initiated his business relationship with CEFC while Joe Biden was still the vice president under former President Barack Obama, according to Walker’s testimony. Chinese-Born Engineer Arrested for Theft Involving Missile Sensor Technology

FBI agents in California arrested a suspected technology spy for China this week, charging him with stealing some 3,600 files from a defense contractor that includes sensitive information on advanced sensors used to detect missile launches.

Gong Chenguang, 57, of San Jose, was charged by federal prosecutors in Los Angeles with being part of China’s “talents” program, a systematic Beijing effort to obtain U.S. technology by recruiting American-based scientists and technical experts with access to advanced know-how.

An FBI affidavit used to seek an arrest warrant identifies Mr. Gong as a naturalized citizen employed by a Malibu defense contractor in January 2023.

The technology involved is worth “hundreds of millions of dollars” and, if provided to a foreign government, would “compromise U.S. national security,” the affidavit states. A spokeswoman identified the company as HRL Laboratories.

FBI Director Chris Wray Reveals China’s Massive Cyber Threat to U.S. Infrastructure

In a dire warning to lawmakers, FBI Director Christopher Wray disclosed the alarming scale of China’s hacking program, cautioning that the communist nation is gearing up to unleash significant cyberattacks on critical infrastructure in the United States. Speaking before the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party in a hearing titled “The Chinese Communist Party Cyber Threat to the American Homeland and National Security,” Wray highlighted the urgent need for public attention to the escalating cyber threat posed by China.

Wray emphasized that the People’s Republic of China (PRC) has been targeting vital elements of American infrastructure, including water treatment plants, the electrical grid, oil and natural gas pipelines, and transportation systems. He stressed that the risk posed by these cyberattacks demands immediate attention, as China’s hackers strategically position themselves to potentially cause real-world harm to American citizens and communities.

China’s hacking program was described by Wray as surpassing the combined efforts of all other major nations, highlighting the sheer magnitude of the cyber threat. He stated, “If each one of the FBI’s cyber agents and intelligence analysts focused exclusively on the China threat, China’s hackers would still outnumber FBI cyber personnel by at least 50 to 1.”

Wray directly implicated the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in orchestrating a multifaceted assault on the national and economic security of the United States. He underscored the CCP’s relentless cyber onslaught, extending beyond mere pre-positioning for future conflicts. Wray pointed out that China actively engages in wholesale theft of American innovation and personal and corporate data on a daily basis.

The FBI director warned that China’s cyber threat is exacerbated by integrating cyber activities into a comprehensive, whole-of-government campaign against the U.S. He revealed China’s recruitment of human sources to target American businesses, using insiders to steal innovation and data while simultaneously participating in corporate deception to conceal Beijing’s involvement in various transactions, joint ventures, and investments.

Wray highlighted the CCP’s disturbing actions to undermine the freedoms of U.S. citizens by employing campaigns aimed at silencing, coercing, and threatening residents. To counter China’s relentless cyber attacks, the FBI has deployed experts specializing in cyber, counterintelligence, criminal, and weapons of mass destruction.

As lawmakers discuss budgets that will determine available resources in the future, Wray stressed the importance of preparing for the challenges that lie ahead, particularly in 2027—a year marked by the CCP as significant.

China’s Highly Controlled Internet Is Filled With Anti-Semitic Rhetoric Following Hamas Slaughter

Aaron Keyak, the State Department’s deputy special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism, suggested that anti-Semitism has spread throughout China since Hamas’ surprise attack against the Jewish state on October 7, according to Fox News Digital. The comments were made last week when Keyak spoke at the U.S. Bar Association.

Keyak said that “[t]here’s been an increase in the People’s Republic of China’s state media and online discourse of antisemitic tropes that Jews control the United States through deep U.S.-Israel ties, as well as control over banks, the media, and that they have influence over government leaders.”

“Conjecture that Jews control the U.S. government and U.S. wealth is an antisemitic falsehood intended to degrade trust in the United States, our democratic institutions and, ultimately, democracy around the globe.”

The Hudson Institute published a report in November 2023 that laid out China’s propensity for anti-Semitic rhetoric. The report mentioned that China’s ideological roots are, in many ways, rooted in Marxist political thought. And Karl Marx’s “first serious publications was his 1844 pamphlet ‘On the Jewish Question,’ in which he argued that Jews constituted ‘a problem’ for Europe, the solution to which was for Europe to rid itself of what he termed the Jews’ real religion — the worship of money.” . . .

Most of the hatred that has been expressed about Jews has been online, with Chinese “netizens” openly ridiculing the parents of Noa Argamani, who is a half-Chinese, Israeli-born captive who was kidnapped by Hamas. Though Argamani’s mother has asked Beijing for help in rescuing her daughter, she has been mocked online and the victim of a string of profanities. Chinese Firm Sent Biden Enterprise $3 Million as ‘Thank You’ for Work When Joe Biden Held Office, Comer Says

Hunter Biden’s former business associate Rob Walker confirmed Chinese firm CEFC wired him $3 million as a “thank you” payment for work during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, according to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer.

Walker, a key figure in the Biden family’s Chinese and Romanian business dealings, testified before Congress Friday about the relationship the Bidens had with both CEFC and Romanian oligarch Gabriel Popoviciu, Comer said Friday night.

“Today’s interview confirmed Hunter Biden and his associates’ work with the Chinese government-linked energy company began over a year before Joe Biden left the vice presidency, but the Bidens and their associates held off being paid by the Chinese while Joe Biden was in office,” Comer said in a press release.

“The Chinese company paid Hunter Biden and his associates $3 million shortly after Joe Biden left office as a ‘thank you’ for the work they did while Joe Biden was in office. Members of the Biden family received payments from the Chinese deal even though they did not work on it,” Comer added.
