Senate Report: Hunter Biden Had Deep Business Ties With Communist Party-Linked Chinese Tycoon

Two Senate Republicans have released a report based on newly obtained documents that show further close financial and operational ties between Hunter Biden and a mega-rich Chinese tycoon linked to the communist party.

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Charles Grassley of Iowa and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Ron Johnson said the deep ties “create counterintelligence and extortion concerns” as Joseph R. Biden prepares for the U.S. presidency.

Son Hunter Biden was the subject of a Grassley-Johnson Republican staff report on Sept. 23 that showed huge suspicious wire transfers from Russian and Ukraine oligarchs to Hunter in 2014 while Joseph Biden was vice president.

The report, based on Treasury Department Suspicious Activity Reports (SARS) filed by financial institutions who handled the wires, also disclosed millions of dollars from Chinese entities. Hunter diverted some of that money to uncle James Biden, his business partner. His wife refused to cooperate with the bank when it made inquiries, the SARS reports said.

The new Senate report deals with documents turned over by former business associate, and now whistleblower, Tony Bobulinski. He came forward publicly last month after the contents of Hunter Biden’s discarded MacBook Pro laptop ended up with the New York Post and other media. Chinese Journalist Faces Prison Time Over Wuhan COVID Reporting

Chinese authorities indicted a Shanghai-based citizen journalist for allegedly sending “false information” after she reported on the coronavirus outbreak in the city of Wuhan, China, early this year, a prosecution document released on Monday and seen by the Guardian revealed.

According to the indictment sheet, Zhang Zhan, 37, is accused of sending “false information through text, video and other media through the Internet media such as WeChat [Chinese messaging and social media app], Twitter and YouTube.”

“She also accepted interviews from overseas media Free Radio Asia and Epoch Times and maliciously speculated on Wuhan’s Covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus] epidemic,” the document stated.

A former lawyer, Zhang was arrested in May following months of continuous online reporting on Wuhan’s coronavirus outbreak via social media platforms. Her reporting was highly critical of municipal authorities’ handling of the outbreak. Authorities accused Zhang of “picking quarrels and stirring up trouble,” a crime regularly used to jail political dissidents in China. The charge carries a prison sentence of up to five years.

Trump Announces New Sanctions on China’s Military Industry

The Trump administration unleashed new sanctions on companies that contribute to China’s military-industrial base, the White House announced Thursday.

The executive order will prohibit Americans from owning shares of 31 companies that support the industrial, communications, and technological capabilities of China’s People’s Liberation Army. Pentagon officials designated the firms as “Communist Chinese military companies” in June and August memos, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The targeted companies have enjoyed the support of American investors—many of the sanctioned firms are traded on Chinese stock exchanges, and two of them are listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Even if the latest sanctions are reversed by a Biden administration next year, investment experts believe the White House’s order could deter further American investment in Chinese companies. Potential Biden Cabinet Pick Linked To Chinese Propaganda Outlets

Jeffrey Sachs, an economist and potential progressive pick for a cabinet position under a Joe Biden administration, appeared on Chinese propaganda outlets throughout the 2020 campaign to blast U.S. foreign policy as an “unholy crusade against China.”

Sachs, a Columbia University economist, contributed to scathing articles in the Global Times, China Daily, and other regime mouthpieces and has done media hits on state-owned outlets such as the China Global Television Network (CGTN). Sachs has maintained a long relationship with the Chinese government and business elite, which can be traced back to at least the early 2000s.

Over the last few months, Sachs has criticized new U.S. restrictions on Huawei as undue “punitive measures” and condemned sanctions implemented after Beijing’s Hong Kong crackdown. The academic has also lavished praise on China for its economic development programs, including the controversial Belt and Road Initiative, which critics fear is trapping developing countries in crippling debt. He accused President Donald Trump of “trying to incite a new cold war against China” in comments published in the Global Times in May.

Originally an economist who made a name for himself in the field of development economics, Sachs has made frequent appearances on mainstream U.S. media networks such as CNN and MSNBC, earning him a following among progressives. China: Republicans Working With Democrats to ‘Kick Trump Out’

China’s state-run Global Times reported on Thursday that “pro-establishment elites from both the Democrats and the Republicans are working together to kick Trump out of the White House” while President Donald Trump is still pursuing legal challenges against ballot counting in several close states.

“Chinese analysts said on Thursday that although Trump might have to accept his defeat eventually, his legacy has already made irreversible changes to the U.S. — The U.S. society has become more conservative and polarized, and the U.S.-led international alliance has become divided,” the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) paper wrote.

The Global Times cited American media reports indicating Trump could be planning a comeback bid in 2024 as “an implied acknowledgment of Trump’s failure among Republicans,” who must now accept the victory of former Vice President Joe Biden if they have any hope of hanging on to the 72 million votes Trump received during the election.

Expert Chinese analysts made the stunning prediction that Trump might not win the 2024 GOP primary if he runs again, because “Republicans such as Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Tom Cotton may seize the opportunity and have stronger influence by then,” and even Trump’s running mate Mike Pence could shoulder past him to run for the top job. Shocking Poll Shows Media Stole Election by Censoring Hunter Biden Story

More than one-third of voters who chose Joe Biden were not aware of the evidence linking the former vice president to corrupt financial dealings with China through his son Hunter.

Had they known, according to the survey commissioned bv the Media Research Center, President Trump would have won at least 289 Electoral College votes.

The survey found that 13% voters of the voters who said they were unaware of the scandals would not have voted for Biden had they been made aware.

That amounted to 4.6% of Biden’s total votes.

Chinese Propagandists: Beijing Is a “For-Biden City”

A Chinese propagandist signaled on Twitter that he welcomed the prospect of a Biden White House in the days after the U.S. presidential election.

Hu Xijin, the editor-in-chief of the Global Times, shared a forum post from a “smart netizen” who said that Beijing is a “For-Biden City” that will welcome Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s electoral victory. He also noted in a separate tweet that Chinese netizens are drawn to Biden’s story of overcoming personal and family tragedies.

“If Biden elected, i really sure relation between China and USA gonna be normalized. Because Beijing is For-Biden City,” the forum post read.

Even as Hu praised Biden, Chinese propaganda organs have used the contentious election as an opportunity for hostile levity against its geopolitical rival since Tuesday. China Central Television (CCTV), the country’s national broadcaster, brought on commentators to call the United States the “loser” of the election, while a state-owned outlet in Hong Kong wrote that “so-called US-style democracy has descended into a joke.”

While most of these mocking stories were written in Mandarin for a domestic Chinese audience, Global Times, a nationalist tabloid known for inflammatory coverage even by China’s standards, published an English-language piece that mocked President Donald Trump and said Chinese netizens are watching the election for “laughs” and “comicalness.” (Read more from “Chinese Propagandists: Beijing Is a “For-Biden City” HERE)

The Chinese Communist Party’s ‘Hostage Diplomacy’ Has Backfired

The Wall Street Journal recently disclosed that Chinese government officials have repeatedly warned their U.S. government counterparts: “The U.S. should drop prosecutions of the Chinese scholars in American courts, or Americans in China might find themselves in violation of Chinese law.” No other foreign government has ever made such blunt threats against U.S. citizens in such a fashion. . .

While our country should never cave to the Chinese Communist Party’s blackmail, since the CCP has either threatened or imposed similar “hostage diplomacy” on America’s allies such as Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, any Americans in China should take the CCP’s threat seriously. . .

Beijing’s hostage diplomacy has, thus far, failed to intimidate any country into submission. The Australian government stands firmly behind its call for an independent inquiry into the origin and spread of the coronavirus. Its proposal won the support from more than 120 countries and was officially adopted by WHO’s decision-making body, the World Health Assembly.

In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau repeatedly said he could not and would not intervene in the Meng case because “Canada has a strong and an independent justice system.” After Beijing imposed the new national security law on Hong Kong, Trudeau said his country would stand up for Hong Kong. He suspended Canada’s extradition treaty with Hong Kong immediately and vowed not to export sensitive military equipment to the city. He also directed his government to offer additional immigration pathways for Hongkongers.

In the United Kingdom, the Johnson administration not only reaffirmed its commitment to offer a path to citizenship for Hong Kong BNO holders but also barred Chinese telecom giant Huawei from the U.K.’s 5G network, a big blow to Beijing’s global ambition. Expert’s Stunning Conclusion: China’s Killing Americans ‘Deliberately’

Well-known China expert Gordon Chang has concluded that China is killing Americans “deliberately” with its export of fentanyl.

Writing for the Gatestone Institute, he quotes Fox News host Tucker Carlson stating it’s a fact that “fentanyl and Covid both came from China, China’s our main rival, they’re benefiting from the deaths of many thousands of Americans.”

Chang writes that China has been pushing fentanyl into the U.S. for years, and last year fatal drug overdoses hit a record 70,980, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. . .

Vanda Felbab-Brown of the Brookings Institution has called it the “deadliest” drug epidemic in American history. . .

Chinese Virologist Whistleblower Says She’ll Spread Message ‘Before They Kill Me’

Chinese virologist who attracted global attention after spreading a conspiracy theory that China was responsible for creating and releasing SARS-CoV-2 has suggested this week she could be killed as a result of her disclosures.

Li-Meng Yan, a former post-doctoral fellow at Hong Kong University, said in an interview with Spanish TV channel Telecinco Thursday that Chinese authorities have spread false rumors in an attempt to ruin her reputation after she refused to remain silent.

“What I am going to do is spread the message as much as possible and show the facts so that people can verify them before they kill me. Everyone has to know the truth and they are not going to scare me,” she told television host Iker Jiménez.

Yan reiterated the claim her initial concerns about the origins of the coronavirus strain that causes COVID-19—which she maintains was made in a lab before intentionally being released by China—were previously silenced by her superiors.
