‘Jesus Paid It All’: Conservative Lawmakers, More Observe Good Friday

Christians on Friday observed Good Friday — the day Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, paid the ultimate penalty for sin by dying on the cross for all of mankind, reconciling humanity with God — as some political figures triumphantly declared that “Jesus paid it all.”

The Gospel of Luke tells it this way:

Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him. And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left. And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments. And the people stood by, watching, but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!” The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him sour wine and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!” There was also an inscription over him, “This is the King of the Jews.”

One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun’s light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last. Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!” And all the crowds that had assembled for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts. And all his acquaintances and the women who had followed him from Galilee stood at a distance watching these things.

Christian School Teacher Arrested for Using AI to Create Child Porn From Yearbook Photos

A teacher at a Christian school in Florida has been arrested for allegedly taking yearbook photos and using artificial intelligence to create erotic materials and sexually explicit content featuring children.

Steven Houser, 67, of New Port Richey, will face charges for possession of child pornography, according to a statement published by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday.

Deputies began an investigation following an unspecified tip they received about Houser. The investigation uncovered that Houser, who worked as a third-grade science teacher at Beacon Christian Academy in New Port Richey, allegedly possessed two photos and three videos of child pornography.

Authorities confirmed that the images did not include students at the school.

It was discovered that Houser also had in his possession child erotic material generated using an AI computer program. Houser allegedly confessed to investigators that he took yearbook photos of three students to use for developing content with AI. Christian Vet Who Beheaded Satanic Statue in Iowa Statehouse Seeks Dismissal of Hate Crime Charge, Says Satanic Temple Isn’t a Real Religion

The Christian veteran charged in the beheading of a Satanic statue placed in the Iowa Capitol is seeking to have the hate crime charge against him removed because the Satanic Temple group is not considered a relgion.

In a Friday court filing, attorney Sara Pasquale for Michael Cassidy wrote that the “violation of individual rights” enhancement in the case is inapplicable as well as unconstitutional, according to the Des Moines Register.

Pasquale wrote that the law regarding crimes motivated by “the person’s (victim’s) race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, political affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, age, or disability” was not applicable in Cassidy’s case, as the display was owned by the Satanic Temple and is a legal entity, not an individual that can have a race, sex, disability, or practice a religion.

“It could never be said, save in Wonderland, that Best Buy is Buddhist,” Pasquale wrote.

Pasquale noted that the Satanic Temple is not a religion for the purposes of the statute, as a religion entails “a system of faith and worship,” and the Satanic Temple has specifically said they don’t have “a belief in a personal Satan. She also noted comments made by a temple leader in which it was a “common misconception” that “the Satanic Temple is a theistic religion that worships Satan as an entity.” (Read more from “Christian Vet Who Beheaded Satanic Statue in Iowa Statehouse Seeks Dismissal of Hate Crime Charge, Says Satanic Temple Isn’t a Real Religion” HERE)

Super Bowl Ad Sparks Outrage: “Blasphemous”; Here’s the Ad That Should Have Aired

During one of the early commercial breaks during the 2024 Super Bowl, Come Near aired its ad featuring scenes of people of all sorts washing someone’s feet in emulation of Jesus. But many felt the ad completely missed the Biblical point.

The ad was to highlight HeGetsUs.com, a campaign meant to “remind everyone, including ourselves, that Jesus’ teachings are a warm embrace, not a cold shoulder,” the group’s website reads.

The ad shows a total of twelve scenes of one individual washing another’s feet. Most appear to be white people doing the washing. None feature a minority washing a white man’s feet, and some even seem to be telling white Christians not to be bigoted. That last one, in particular, features a white priest washing the feet of what appears to be a member of the LGBTQ community. Another shows an older white woman washing the feet of a scowling young woman outside a Family Planning Clinic as pro-life protesters stand in the background.

The story of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples is found in John 13:1-17 and is usually taken as a lesson of humility delivered by Jesus to his disciples ahead of the Last Super.

However, many on social media felt the ad was “blasphemous” and did not actually represent the lesson Jesus was attempting to impart to his followers at all.

Editor’s note – Take a listen to the ad that many believe should’ve aired:

Insanity at Davos: Brazilian Shaman Performs Incantations, Blows in World Leaders’ Mouths on Stage

A wise old friend once said to me that if Christianity died out, what would come next would not be atheism but polytheism . . .

I thought of that yesterday while watching a Brazilian shaman called Putanny Yawanawa performing a native spiritual ceremony onstage at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The leaders onstage all managed to keep a straight face — in fact, they looked deeply humbled and impressed — as Yawanawa did her incantations and blew her sacred breath into their faces.

All behaved as though this was a well-known and totally normal way to start a meeting about economics.

Though I would guess most would have recoiled in embarrassment if a Christian priest had offered them a Communion wafer. (Read more from “Insanity at Davos: Brazilian Shaman Performs Incantations, Blows in World Leaders’ Mouths on Stage” HERE)

Government Banning Prayer? It’s Already Happened in One Location

One Australian state, Victoria, already has adopted laws that essentially make practicing Christianity, specifically prayer, a crime, and a commentary at The Daily Signal warns America is heading that direction with its bans on “conversion therapy.”

Conversion therapy is a derogatory term for counseling that encourages those who have unwanted same-sex attractions to live the lives they choose, and provides them skills to use to pursue their goals.

It’s been banned in many locations in America by lawmakers and others kowtowing to the ideology of the LGBT agenda. Quite literally in many locations, but not all, they’ve succeeded in promoting pro-LGBT counseling, but banning anti-LGBT discussions.

“It seems that the transgender movement aims to demonize any attempt to delay experimental medical interventions on children using the ‘conversion therapy’ label,” the commentary explained. “Victoria’s law condemning certain forms of prayer seems beyond the pale for Americans, but 27 states, along with Washington, D.C., and one U.S. territory have laws banning ‘conversion therapy’ for minors, according to the pro-LGBTQ Movement Advancement Project.”

The author, Tyler O’Neil, explained, “These laws only allow therapy in one direction; namely, for an LGBTQ identity—even if a patient expresses a desire to overcome unwanted feelings of same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria. Speaker Mike Johnson Responds to Liberal Media Attacks on His Christian Faith: ‘Disgusting’

Newly elected Speaker of the House Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., responded to liberals and those in the media trashing him for his Christian faith Tuesday.

Johnson, an Evangelical Christian who has proudly invoked his faith in God and said the Bible is his “worldview” since being elected as the new speaker, responded to MSNBC host Jen Psaki, HBO host Bill Maher and others who trashed him for his faith, saying the attacks don’t bother him.

“Media wasn’t always so friendly to someone with a Judeo-Christian worldview, and in your case, some of the things that had been said, Politico interviewed a historian about your worldview, and this historian said you’re a Christian nationalist, it comes from that of Christian supremacy,” Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany said to Johnson.

She then quoted Psaki labeling Johnson as a Christian “fundamentalist.”

“What do you think when you hear that?” McEnany asked.

“Look, there are entire industries that are built to take down public leaders – effective political leaders like me. I’m not surprised by that. I mean, it comes with the territory. It doesn’t bother me at all,” Johnson responded. (Read more from “Speaker Mike Johnson Responds to Liberal Media Attacks on His Christian Faith: ‘Disgusting’” HERE)

Document Stash Reveals FBI’s Scheming to Target Christians

The FBI’s attempt to redefine traditional Catholics who remain dedicated to their faith as potential domestic terrorists long has been known.

In fact, just days ago WND reported that the facts show that such a scheme, proposed in a letter from one FBI office, actually was developed and supported by many offices. . .

A new report from the American Center for Law and Justice documents that the FBI, in response to a federal lawsuit, has admitted the existence of a trove of documents “labeling Christians as ‘radical traditionalists’ and ‘potential terrorists,'” with documented plans for “planting undercover FBI agents inside churches.”

The ACLJ said it went to court after evidence of the FBI’s targeting of members of the Christian faith became evidenct It demanded information about the “blatant religious discrimination of conservative Christians.”

“As a result, the FBI has just informed the court that it has already found over 1,200 pages of documents related to our FOIA and the targeting of Christians and pro-lifers, and it’s still searching for more,” the legal organization said. ‘They Want Our Doors Shut’: Dark Forces Attack Christian Coffee Shop (VIDEO)

A Christian coffee shop in the Denver area run by a ministry to the homeless and set up specifically to give them jobs is now under fierce assault, according to the ministry’s leader.

Jamie Sanchez, of Recycle God’s Love ministry, which runs The Drip Cafe coffee shop, recently was interviewed by CBN about the struggles for the ministry brought on by the local LGBT activists and Communist members.

He said the purpose of the ministry is to reach out to homeless and help them “break chains” of mental health issues, spiritual coaching, financial decisions and more.

The café allows them to be employed, and thus to save money for housing and such.

Sanchez, the owner of the shop, said LGBT activists have been protesting his shop, which has sustained vandalism like broken windows and spray-painted graffiti, since it opened a few months ago. (Read more from “‘They Want Our Doors Shut’: Dark Forces Attack Christian Coffee Shop (VIDEO)” HERE)

GOP Lawmaker Commits Painful Unforced Error When He Attacks Christian for Pro-Jesus Post: ‘You Have Gone Too Far’

Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio) apologized Tuesday after condemning basic Christian theology as “bigoted.”

Ohio Republican Elizabeth Marbach, who previously worked for the Ohio Republican Party and Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, tweeted on Tuesday that there is “no hope for any of us outside of having faith in Jesus Christ alone.”

The rather innocuous statement, a central tenet of Christian theology, prompted a strong response from Miller, who is Jewish. The Republican lawmaker demanded that Marbach delete her social media post because, in his eyes, she had gone “too far” in her bigotry.

“This is one of the most bigoted tweets I have ever seen. Delete it, Lizzie,” Miller responded. “Religious freedom in the United States applies to every religion. You have gone too far.”

In a follow-up, Miller added, “God says that Jewish people are the chosen ones, but yet you say we have no hope. Thanks for your pearl of wisdom today.” (Read more from “GOP Lawmaker Commits Painful Unforced Error When He Attacks Christian for Pro-Jesus Post: ‘You Have Gone Too Far’” HERE)
