Quick-Thinking Cop Saves Baby Who Was Choking and ‘Turning Blue’

A quick-thinking New Jersey cop saved a 5-week-old baby boy who was choking and “turning blue.”

The mother attempted CPR on the newborn to no avail, while the father called 911.

Secaucus Police Officer Mikhail Kowlessar arrived and quickly did some back slaps that got the baby to spit up some clear liquid and start breathing again.

Police Chief Dennis Miller praised Kowlessar, who has been on the force since 2018.

“Police Officer Kowlessar utilized his training and performed flawlessly, which undoubtedly saved this infant’s life. I am extremely proud of him,” the chief said. (Read more from “Quick-Thinking Cop Saves Baby Who Was Choking and ‘Turning Blue'” HERE)

Cop Taunts Would-Be Killer With Lube on Way to Prison: ‘You Are Going to Need a Lot of This’

A police officer taunted the Jacksonville man who shot him multiple times last year by taking out a tube of K-Y Jelly personal lubricant in court Wednesday and saying, “You are going to need a lot of this,” local reports said.

Kevin Rojas, then 19, shot the undercover police officer three times during a 2016 traffic stop, including once in the face, the Florida Times-Union reported.

The critically-wounded officer, who was taking his son to school during the incident, returned fire but did not hit Rojas. His son was not injured.

Local reports did not identify the undercover officer.

In October, Rojas was found guilty of numerous felonies, including attempted first-degree murder, grand theft auto, attempted manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. Stunner: Killer Cop Mohamed Noor a ‘Diversity’ Hire

Questions continue to mount about the strange shooting death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond at the hands of a Minnesota cop.

The city has not released any information, but the officer who pulled the trigger has been identified as Mohamed Noor, a Somali-American who entered the country as a refugee and was the first Somali to be employed by the department’s 5th precinct . . .

WND has learned he was one of five Somalis on the entire force and that the city makes a special effort to recruit Somalis as part of its affirmative-action plan.

The city’s affirmative-action program requires it to give preferential treatment to minorities, not only those hired by the city but by all contractors awarded contracts of more than $100,000.

The city’s leaders bemoaned the fact that they could not come up with more blacks to staff 100 new positions that came open at the end of 2014. The Star-Tribune, in an Aug. 19, 2014, article headlined “Minneapolis police struggle to hire diverse force,” interviewed several activists who took the city to task for allowing the number of black officers to dwindle. Heroic K-9 Saves Officer From Brutal Roadside Ambush

A manhunt is under way after a Hancock County [Mississippi] Sheriff’s Department deputy was saved by his dog from an ambush attack by three men.

The deputy, Todd Frazier, was beaten and cut with a box cutter in Pearlington on Monday, Sheriff Ricky Adam said. If it wasn’t for his K9 partner, a black Belgian Malinois named Lucas, they might have succeeded.

[Deputy Frazier had stopped to check on a car that was parked at a rest stop and was ambushed by three people]

“They told him they were going to slit his throat, and they were dragging him toward the woods,” Chief Deputy Don Bass said, adding that authorities believe the attackers meant to drag Frazier into the woods, kill him, and dump his body. . .

“The three of them were dragging him toward the wooded area, and he was able to break one hand free to activate the [remote control] button that opens the door and it released Lucas,” Bass said.

The dog bit at least one, probably two of the suspects, potentially saving the officer’s life. . .”We don’t know how many he got, we just know he had blood all over him,” Adam said. (Read more from “Heroic K-9 Saves Officer From Brutal Roadside Ambush” HERE)
