Damning Email Shows Fauci Privately Acknowledged Gain-Of-Function Research at Wuhan Lab

A new document released by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus reveals that Anthony Fauci knew that gain-of-function research was occurring in Wuhan, China, prior to the global spread of COVID-19.

In an email to U.S. government public health officials in February 2020, Fauci wrote that “scientists in the Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain-of-function experiments … associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection,” according to an image of the document tweeted by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus. The email reveals that Fauci knew of the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s research into coronaviruses that mirrored COVID-19 prior to his claim that there was no evidence that the virus was produced in a laboratory.

Fauci also wrote that “there were mutations in the virus that would be most unusual to have evolved naturally in the bats and that there was a suspicion that this mutation was intentionally inserted.” He claimed this was the conclusion of international physicians following a conference call on Feb. 1, 2020 — after which they wrote a now-controversial “proximal origins” paper that claimed the virus emerged naturally.

Fauci later claimed that there was “no scientific evidence” that COVID-19 was made in a laboratory, in an interview with National Geographic in May 2020. In 2023, the FBI and Department of Energy concluded that it was likely that the virus was produced in a laboratory. In or Out? A Fast-Food Fight Over Employee Masking Bans

Twitter users shared a variety of opinions on Friday about fast-food restaurant employees being told not to wear masks roughly months after the federal COVID-19 public health emergency came to an end.

At the center of the debate was an apparent flyer sent out to In-N-Out Burger locations outside the chain’s home state of California, announcing new health guidelines. The Daily Wire reached out to In-N-Out Burger seeking comment on whether the guidelines are real.

A screenshot of the supposed flyer says that starting on August 14 no masks “shall be worn in the Store or Support facility unless an Associate has a valid medical note exempting him or her from this requirement,” and those who do get a doctor’s approval must wear a company-provided N-95 mask unless a physician advises otherwise.

The policy is said to apply to associates working in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, and Utah, except those “who are required to wear masks or other protective gear as part of their job duties,” and is “subject to local health authority guidelines and regulations.”

Lucky Tran, who has been identified as a “science communicator” working at Columbia University, shared the screenshot on Twitter and encouraged people to reach out to the In-N-Out Burger’s customer service page regarding the chain’s “discriminatory policy banning masks.” (Read more from “In or Out? Massachusetts Sued for Working With Google to Secretly Put Spyware on Residents’ Phones

A newly released video highlights how the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) allegedly colluded with Google to secretly install Covid-tracking spyware on the smartphones of more than one million residents “without their knowledge or consent.”

A video published by the New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) — a self-described civil rights group devoted to protecting Americans from administrative overreach — walks viewers through the core tenets of the organization’s ongoing lawsuit against DPH and Democrat Gov. Maura Healey, which claims Massachusetts violated state residents and workers’ Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights by installing a Covid “contact-tracing app” on their Androids without their awareness or permission.

According to NCLA’s legal complaint, DPH launched an initial version of the app for Android mobile devices in April 2021 using software provided to the agency by Google. At the time, the installation of the app — which purportedly causes the device “to constantly connect and exchange information with other nearby devices via Bluetooth” to alert individuals of possible exposure to Covid-19 — was voluntary. Following low download numbers among state residents, however, DPH allegedly began working with Google on June 15, 2021, to “secretly install the Contact Tracing App onto over one million Android mobile devices located in Massachusetts without the device owners’ knowledge or permission.”

User attempts to delete the app from his or her respective devices proved unsuccessful, as DPH would allegedly “re-install it onto their device.”

“They made it hard to find on your phone because it doesn’t show up on the home screen with every other app you have,” NCLA Litigation Counsel Sheng Li said. “You have thousands and thousands of people who don’t know this is on their phone.” (Read more from “Massachusetts Sued for Working With Google to Secretly Put Spyware on Residents’ Phones” HERE)

In Newly-Released Docs, Scientists Seemingly Admit COVID Origins Paper Was Meant to Cover for China, Play Politics

Scientists acknowledged the fallout that would occur if “anyone serious” called out the possibility that COVID-19 originated due to a Chinese leak rather than naturally, according to private messages included in a report released on Tuesday.

Scientists discussed the potential consequences of accusing China of leaking COVID-19 and agreed to attribute the virus to a natural source in a private Slack channel in February 2020, according to a report by the House of Representatives Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Evolutionary biologist Dr. Andrew Rambaut wrote that it would be a disaster to blame China for an escaped virus and stated that he would be comfortable saying it was a natural occurrence, and immunologist Dr. Kristian Andersen said that he concurred.

“Given the shit show that would happen if anyone serious accused the Chinese of even accidental release, my feeling is we should say that given there is no evidence of a specifically engineered virus, we cannot possibly distinguish between natural evolution and escape so we are content with ascribing it to natural processes,” Rambaut wrote.

The report also claims that former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci initiated an effort to suppress the theory that the origins of COVID-19 could be traced to a laboratory in Wuhan, China. Fauci reportedly pushed researchers to write a paper to “disprove” the lab leak theory on multiple occasions.

“Our main work over the past couple of weeks has been focused on trying to disprove any type of lab theory, but we are at a crossroad where the scientific evidence isn’t conclusive enough to say that we have high confidence in any of the three main theories considered,” Andersen wrote in a February 2020 email, according to the report. Former Pfizer Employee Charged With Insider Trading Related to COVID Treatment

A former employee for Pfizer was charged by federal investigators on Thursday after being accused of insider trading related to non-public results related to COVID drug Paxlovid.

Amit Dagar, 44, was charged with four counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud after federal investigators said that he used his knowledge of Paxlovid trials to purchase stock in Pfizer ahead of the release of positive test results.

Dagar “purchased short-dated, out-of-the-money call options in Pfizer stock. DAGAR also tipped his close friend, ATUL BHIWAPURKAR, about the coming drug results and BHIWAPURKAR also purchased short-dated, out-of-the-money Pfizer call options that expired approximately two weeks later. BHIWAPURKAR also tipped another friend (‘Individual-1’), who similarly purchased short-dated, out-of-the-money Pfizer call options that expired approximately three weeks later,” the Southern District of New York’s Department of Justice’s office said.

Bhiwapurkar, from California, was also charged with two counts of security fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit security fraud. The two are accused of purchasing the stocks in November 2021 after Dagar saw positive results from the company’s testing of Paxlovid ahead of their public release. Wuhan Lab Researcher Says COVID Engineered as Bioweapon

A researcher at the Wuhan Institute of Virology claimed that China deliberately developed the COVID-19 virus as a “bioweapon.”

Researcher Chao Shao said during an interview with reporter and activist Jennifer Zeng this week that his fellow lab researchers were given different strains of coronaviruses and asked to determine which is most effective for spreading across various species.

Shao further claimed that the whereabouts of several of his colleagues could not be determined during the 2019 Military World Games in Wuhan and that some of them were sent to hotels where international athletes were living to “check the health or hygiene conditions.”

Shao said he thinks his colleagues were sent to the hotels to spread the coronavirus, the Jerusalem Post reported:

Chao Shao suspected that these actions were unrelated to virology research and suggested that they were potentially involved in spreading the virus.

Lab Leak Intelligence Exposes Misinformation Police

It appears that the people who came down with COVID-19 before anyone else were scientists who worked at the Chinese virology lab in Wuhan. This makes it difficult, bordering on ludicrous, to deny the virus originated in that lab. The latest reports, citing U.S. intelligence, point very clearly toward that conclusion.

What’s more, the intelligence suggests the Chinese research in question was funded by the U.S. government.

There are a hundred lessons to learn from this story, including how much we should mistrust China’s government and whether we should fund its research laboratories.

The Biden administration probably does not welcome this news, as America’s relationship with China is already compromised by the administration’s incompetence. An overly friendly visit to Beijing by Secretary of State Antony Blinken made no sense when paired with President Joe Biden’s remarks at a fundraiser labeling Chinese President Xi Jinping a dictator and mocking him over the spy balloon.

Though the key lesson is not about China but about humility. It’s a lesson not merely for Biden but for a broad swath of America’s elite class: Stop trying to shut down opinions you dislike by labeling them “disinformation” and instead engage with them honestly. No Signs of Academic Recovery for 13-Year-Olds After School Lockdowns

America’s 13-year-olds are showing no signs of academic recovery from school lockdowns, as new federal data report math and reading scores at the lowest levels in decades.

According to new National Assessment of Educational Progress data published Wednesday, the math scores of the young teenagers, who are mostly in eighth grade, dropped nine points between the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 school years, which a NAEP press release called “the largest declines ever recorded.”

Reading scores declined by four points over the same period, with the lowest-performing students scoring lower than they did in 1971 when the data first started being collected.

“The ‘green shoots’ of academic recovery that we had hoped to see have not materialized, as we continue to see worrisome signs about student achievement and well-being more than two years after most students returned for in-person learning,” Peggy G. Chinese Military Expert Who Filed Patent for COVID Vaccine Died in Mysterious Circumstances

A Chinese military scientist who was reportedly thrown to his death from the roof of a Wuhan institute is at the centre of mounting evidence that the Covid pandemic resulted from a lab leak.

Intelligence obtained by members of the US Senate reveals that Zhou Yusen filed a patent for a Covid-19 vaccine on February 24, 2020, barely a month after China put Wuhan into lockdown because of the outbreak.

US vaccine developers told investigators that it would have been impossible to have generated the data cited in the patent so swiftly – it would have taken about three months’ work, meaning that scientists at the Wuhan Institute for Virology were secretly working on a Covid vaccine in November, two months before Beijing told the world about the pandemic.

Zhou, who worked for the People’s Liberation Army and was collaborating with Wuhan scientists at the time of the outbreak, died in mysterious circumstances in May 2020, aged 54.

Scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were running risky experiments to create deadly mutant coronaviruses by fusing newly discovered strains – just before the outbreak of Covid-19.

US investigators believe Covid-19 was created by scientists at the Wuhan lab through experiments on a similar coronavirus discovered in a mineshaft in southern China.

Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were fusing deadly coronaviruses to create highly-infectious mutant strains, that were then used to infect albino mice, the US investigators claim.

The research programme was kept secret and covered up due to it being funded by the Chinese military with the aim of developing bioweapons, the investigators believe.

The secret initiative in turn led to the creation of Covid-19, which was then leaked into the city of Wuhan through a lab accident, before it spread across the globe, the US investigators claim.
