Psychiatrist and CNN Guest Praises Hitler in Attempt to Dunk on Trump

A forensic psychiatrist, and former guest and health expert on both CNN and MSNBC, praised Adolf Hitler in an attempt to criticize President Donald Trump, and compared the Holocaust to Trump’s handling of the pandemic.

Dr. Bandy X Lee, an outspoken critic of Trump, tweeted her shocking comparison just one day before the election, crediting Hitler with better character than Trump.

“Donald Trump is not an Adolf Hitler. At least Hitler improved the daily life of his followers, had discipline, and required more of himself to gain the respect of his followers,” she wrote. “Even with the same pathology, there are varying degrees of competence.”

She also claimed that the pandemic death toll in the U.S “is higher than Hitler’s at the same period.”

Shortly after she tweeted the bizarre comparison, Lee removed her post. But instead of apologizing for her insensitive comments, Lee tweeted a long explanation attempting to justify them.

“Okay, I have taken it down, since it has upset so many people and was not provoking thought but the opposite. Of note, my statement was about how little Donald Trump believes he needs to do to retain his followership, NOT to minimize Adolf Hitler’s atrocities,” she wrote. WATCH: Democrat Governor Requires Businesses to Conduct Contact Tracing on Customers

On Friday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced an order requiring many businesses, such as restaurants, barber shops, tattoo parlors, entertainment establishments and recreational facilities to record names, visit times and contact information of all customers to their businesses, in order to assist the state in contact tracing for the coronavirus. Should a business not comply with this order, it could face a fine of up to $200 and a misdemeanor charge that could lead to a prison sentence for up to six months.

According to the Federalist, the order, which starts today, also scales back the maximum allowance at gatherings from 500 people to 50, discourages shouting, and extends the use of masks for daycares, schools and “similar indoor settings.”

Throughout the eight-month long saga of coronavirus, it has become obvious that many governors, including Whitmer, have been using the pandemic as an excuse to keep control over their citizens.

More Than 230 Federal Election-Related Lawsuits Have Been Filed Already

There’s no doubt that the coronavirus pandemic has thrown the machinery of the election into chaos. According to a study by USA Today, there have been 230 election-related federal lawsuits filed since the first of the year with another legal tidal wave coming after Election Day.

Many of the suits are related to judges overriding or overruling the elected legislature to make their own laws. But despite ludicrous charges of “voter suppression,” many federal judges have upheld the laws that govern elections, protecting the integrity of the vote.

USA TODAY’s review of hundreds of lawsuits that were filed or had significant rulings in 2020 found that courts have already made pivotal decisions on who can vote, how they vote and the process used to count their votes. USA TODAY also reviewed election lawsuit data compiled and maintained by the Stanford-MIT Healthy Elections Project and the Brennan Center for Justice.

The analysis found that Trump has already been assisted by the legions of federal court judges he appointed during his first term in office. Working with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and the conservative Federalist Society legal group, the president has installed more than a quarter of all federal judges.

Not making it “easier” to vote is not the same as “voter suppression.” Democrats and liberals know this but make the charge anyway because it resonates with their base. States have a legitimate, constitutional need to ensure the integrity of everyone’s votes and as much as Democrats want to run away from the facts, mail-in ballot procedures are not as secure as in-person ballot procedures. Most states have already made allowances for the pandemic. It’s been up to the Supreme Court to sort it all out and accept some expansions of laws while quashing others. Major Texas City Imposes Second Lockdown as Local Hospitals Reach Capacity

El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego said Thursday he is ordering a two-week shutdown of all non-essential services for two weeks to curb the spread of COVID-19.

“Our hospitals are at capacity. Our medical professionals are overwhelmed. If we don’t respond, we will see unprecedented levels of deaths,” Samaniego said at a news briefing.

Essential businesses, including grocery stores, schools, child care centers, pharmacies and health care facilities, will remain open, he said. He said the order takes effect at midnight.

He said voting will also be considered an essential activity. . .

The number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations have been gradually climbing in El Paso County. There are currently 14,359 active cases of the virus in the county, Samaniego said. (Read more from “Major Texas City Imposes Second Lockdown as Local Hospitals Reach Capacity” HERE)

Germany Heads Back Into Second COVID Lockdown

The German government has announced that the country will head back into a second lockdown in response to a recent spike in the coronavirus cases. The second lockdown is set to begin on Monday and will last for at least four weeks.

Germany initially had some of the strictest lockdown measures in Europe, but recently gradually eased those restrictions. Schools, bars, and restaurants had been allowed to reopen in phases in recent weeks.

However, in response to the news that the country saw a record total of 14,964 cases on Tuesday, the government has decided to once again severely restrict its citizens’ movements. According to NBC News, the second lockdown will require all bars, restaurants, cinemas, and other leisure activities to close for in-person activities. Restaurants will still be permitted to prepare food for take-out purposes.

Additionally, German citizens are being asked to stay home, restrict travel, and avoid even in-home gatherings that involve more than two households. Retail stores will remain open, but hotels will not be allowed to accommodate tourists.

Notably, even though Germany is locking down most of their country, schools will remain open, even though they are being required to undertake additional sanitation measures. (Read more from “Germany Heads Back Into Second COVID Lockdown” HERE)

Coronavirus Has a Scary, Lasting Impact on Our Brains

Coronavirus can significantly impact brain function, causing mental decline equivalent to the brain aging 10 years, according to an alarming new study.

A study of more than 84,000 people in the UK found that the virus left even those deemed recovered with “chronic cognitive consequences” that it compared to dropping 8.5 IQ points.

“People who had recovered, including those no longer reporting symptoms, exhibited significant cognitive deficits,” the study published on MedRxiv said.

“The deficits were broad, affecting multiple cognitive domains,” the researchers warned in the study, which has yet to be peer-reviewed. . .

The cognitive deficits were “of substantial effect size” and “scaled with symptom severity,” especially those hospitalized, but also “evident amongst those without hospital treatment,” the study said. (Read more from “Coronavirus Has a Scary, Lasting Impact on Our Brains” HERE)

Chinese Virologist Whistleblower Says She’ll Spread Message ‘Before They Kill Me’

Chinese virologist who attracted global attention after spreading a conspiracy theory that China was responsible for creating and releasing SARS-CoV-2 has suggested this week she could be killed as a result of her disclosures.

Li-Meng Yan, a former post-doctoral fellow at Hong Kong University, said in an interview with Spanish TV channel Telecinco Thursday that Chinese authorities have spread false rumors in an attempt to ruin her reputation after she refused to remain silent.

“What I am going to do is spread the message as much as possible and show the facts so that people can verify them before they kill me. Everyone has to know the truth and they are not going to scare me,” she told television host Iker Jiménez.

Yan reiterated the claim her initial concerns about the origins of the coronavirus strain that causes COVID-19—which she maintains was made in a lab before intentionally being released by China—were previously silenced by her superiors. Study: Human Coronaviruses ‘Inactivated’ by This Bathroom Item

A new study conducted by researchers at the Penn State College of Medicine has found that a common dental item can inactivate human coronaviruses: mouthwash and oral rinses.

For the study, the results of which were published in the Journal of Medical Virology, researchers tested various oral and nasopharyngeal rinses — which included a 1% solution of baby shampoo, a neti pot, peroxide sore-mouth cleansers, and mouthwashes — to determine how well they inactivated human coronaviruses.

The baby shampoo solution, “which is often used by head and neck doctors to rinse the sinuses,” the researchers noted in a news release regarding the findings, was particularly effective; the solution inactivated “greater than 99.9% of human coronavirus after a two-minute contact time,” they said.

The mouthwash and oral rinses were also efficacious, they found: “Many inactivated greater than 99.9% of virus after only 30 seconds of contact time and some inactivated 99.99% of the virus after 30 seconds.”

More specifically, researchers “used a test to replicate the interaction of the virus in the nasal and oral cavities with the rinses and mouthwashes,” as the nasal and oral cavities are thought to be main points of entry for human coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2, better known as COVID-19. Though the researchers didn’t specifically test SARS-CoV-2 in the study, the novel virus is genetically similar to the other human coronaviruses tested, leading the researchers to hypothesize that the results would be similar. Study: One-Third of Excess Deaths in U.S. during Pandemic Were Not Due to COVID-19

A new study found that a third of excess deaths in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic could not be directly attributed to the coronavirus.

“Although total US death counts are remarkably consistent from year to year, US deaths increased by 20% during March-July 2020. COVID-19 was a documented cause of only 67% of these excess deaths,” the study, published on the Journal of the American Medical Association’s website, said. “Some states had greater difficulty than others in containing community spread, causing protracted elevations in excess deaths that extended into the summer.” . . .

“Excess deaths attributed to causes other than COVID-19 could reflect deaths from unrecognized or undocumented infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or deaths among uninfected patients resulting from disruptions produced by the pandemic,” the study’s authors noted.

Deaths from heart disease and Alzheimer’s disease and dementia saw statistically significant increases, the study noted. . .

“Beyond the staggering U.S. deaths caused directly by the novel coronavirus, more than 134,200 people have died from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia since March. That is 13,200 more U.S. deaths caused by dementia than expected, compared with previous years,” the Post reported. Despite Stage-Two Virus Rules in D.C. Large Crowds Gathered for Women’s March (VIDEO)

The District of Columbia is in Phase Two of reopening from a coronavirus lockdown that still includes strict crowd restrictions and mask mandates. But social media posts for Saturday’s Women’s March show thousands of people in close proximity.

Bowser’s order also said live entertainment venues could reopen with restrictions, including a maximum of 50 people, including performers, seats at least 30 feet from the stage if there is live singing.

Freedom Plaza, where the Women’s March started on Saturday, included crowds surrounding a stage where marchers sang and spoke. (Read more from “Despite Stage-Two Virus Rules in D.C. Large Crowds Gathered for Women’s March (VIDEO)” HERE)
