Social Media Giants Substantially Increase Censorship of Pro-Trump Postings

Twitter Censors 6 Trump Posts in 24 Hours

By Breitbart. Twitter has actively censored six of President Donald Trump’s posts over the 24 hours between Thursday midmorning and Friday. Twitter’s censorship can lower the engagement of a Trump tweet by more than 80 percent, according to one recent analysis of their performance.

Over the past 24 hours, social media platform Twitter has censored six of the President’s latest posts, and will likely censor more as the President raises doubts over voter fraud. Just yesterday Breitbart News reported that of President Trump’s 22 posts on Facebook and Twitter, 11 were censored by the Silicon Valley Masters of the Universe. Now, Jack Dorsey’s company has censored a further six tweets by the President, dramatically lowering their engagement.

Facebook Censorship: Platform Will ‘Temporarily Demote’ Posts That Share ‘Election Misinformation’

By Breitbart. Tech giant Facebook laid out its censorship plan on Thursday, stating it would begin demoting content that its “systems predict may be misinformation” relating to election fraud.

Forbes reports that Facebook has announced that it plans to demote content “our systems predict may be misinformation” relating to election fraud. A Facebook spokesperson told Forbes that the social media company is “seeing more reports of inaccurate claims about the election” and “while many of these claims have low engagement on our platform, we are taking additional temporary steps.”

The spokesperson told Forbes that Facebook would be taking a number of actions including “demotions for content on Facebook and Instagram that our systems predict may be misinformation, including debunked claims about voting” and “limiting the distribution of Live videos that may relate to the election on Facebook.” (Read more from “Facebook Censorship: Platform Will ‘Temporarily Demote’ Posts That Share ‘Election Misinformation’” HERE)

NYT Commits the Same Mistakes It Apologized for Four Years Ago

We know now that the New York Times‘s letter to its readers in the wake of President Donald Trump’s surprise 2016 victory was a non-apology apology. . .

As the kids say, LOL. The paper’s coverage of the 2020 presidential election was not only as misleading as it was four years ago, it was misleading in the same way, overstating the odds of Democrats everywhere thanks, at least in part, to a belief in race and gender as the defining features of American politics. Identity politics has come to define the New York Times, but the country isn’t so monolithic.

Four years ago, the paper wrote not one but two pieces arguing Hillary Clinton and the Democrats were making major inroads in Texas thanks to the state’s growing minority population. Clinton, reporters Matt Flegenheimer and Jonathan Martin wrote, was leading “a new offensive aimed at extending her growing advantage over Donald J. Trump while bolstering down-ballot candidates in what party leaders increasingly suggest could be a sweeping victory for Democrats at every level.” Trump went on to trounce Clinton by nine points.

Fast forward to last month, when Martin promised that this time, Texas was “a true presidential battleground, and either candidate could prevail.” The result: Trump by six.

The fake news wasn’t limited to one state. The Times covered Susan Collins’s impending demise: Susan Collins Hasn’t Changed Much, but Maine Has. Collins won by nine. They claimed Republicans were botching the Senate race in deep red South Carolina, where Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison was alleged to have a real shot at unseating Republican senator Lindsey Graham thanks to the state’s growing diversity—”surprisingly competitive,” a “remarkable feat.” That kind of credulous reporting helped Harrison raise nearly $100 million for his campaign. The result: Graham won by 14 points, just 3 points weaker than the pummeling he gave his last challenger in 2014. Don’t Expect Much of the Unity Talk To Sink in After What Biden’s Rapid Response Director Just Said

. . .There will be talk of unity with [Joe] Biden. You know this is going to happen. It’s your run-of-the-mill address to the other side. Don’t believe it. . .

President Trump doesn’t intend to concede the election, which led to Biden’s rapid response director saying, “The United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”

CENSORSHIP ON STEROIDS: Mainstream Media Cut Away From Trump’s Election Press Conference; USA Today Removes All Video, Lies About Remarks (VIDEO)

By The Hill. Two television networks cut away from President Trump early Wednesday morning to allow journalists to fact-check him as he made baseless claims of fraud as votes continued to be counted in key battleground states across the country.

MSNBC cut away from the president’s remarks mid-speech to allow anchor Brian Williams to correct Trump’s claim that he had “already” won the election.

“We are reluctant to step in, but duty-bound to point out, when he says ‘we did win this election, we’ve already won,’ that is not based in the facts at all,” Williams told viewers.

On ABC News, anchors cut in during remarks made by Vice President Pence directly after Trump’s to inform viewers that the president was currently trailing his opponent in both the popular vote and in Electoral College votes from states called by news networks.

Democrats Urge Twitter to Suspend Trump Until Ballots Counted

Democratic lawmakers want Twitter to suspend President Trump’s account until all the ballots have been counted in the 2020 presidential election.

Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly said on Twitter that Trump’s claim that he has won Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina before counting is finished is “pure disinformation,” Fox Business reported.

“Suspend his account, @Twitter,” Connolly wrote. “Valid votes are being counted. This is America, not Russia.”

Rhode Island Rep. David Cicilline called Trump’s tweet Wednesday “a threat to our democracy.”

Politico reported Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris previously called for Twitter to block the president. (Read more from “Democrats Urge Twitter to Suspend Trump Until Ballots Counted” HERE)

Courts Unlikely to Decide Presidential Election

A battery of lawsuits from the Trump campaign in battleground states is not likely to tip the outcome of the election.

The multi-pronged legal attack in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia does not involve issues that are likely to change vote tallies. The campaign’s lawsuits have mostly involved modest claims that seek to ensure election procedures are followed. The actions do not seek to invalidate large numbers of votes or stop the canvassing process.

A dispute over a grace period for mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania is currently pending before the Supreme Court, but it is not clear that the votes in question will be decisive to the outcome in the Keystone State. All told, apart from the dispute over Pennsylvania’s post-Election Day ballots, the Trump campaign does not have an obvious path for the Supreme Court showdown President Donald Trump advocated on election night. . .

Trump campaign lawyers also sued Michigan secretary of state Jocelyn Benson (D), claiming that GOP vote challengers were being kept away from absentee vote counting boards and surveillance video of ballot drop boxes. The Trump plaintiffs named only one GOP challenger allegedly kept away from the canvassing process and did not explain the circumstances for his removal, nor did they connect the incident to a broader pattern of malfeasance.

In a Thursday-afternoon hearing, Michigan Court of Claims judge Cynthia Stephens said she will dismiss the Trump campaign’s lawsuit in a written decision by Friday afternoon. Stephens said the suit lacked specificity, and it seemed to her that the campaign was suing the wrong person. Rather than bringing a suit against Benson, Stephens said the campaign should have filed against local election officials, who are legally empowered to give the campaign the access it was allegedly denied. She also noted that the absentee vote canvass has effectively been completed. (Read more from “Courts Unlikely to Decide Presidential Election” HERE)

120K Straight Vote Dump for Biden Is Impossible

Vote dumps entirely for former Vice President Joe Biden are not credible, assessed Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform Initiative and a senior legal fellow of the Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, offering his analysis on Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

Marlow asked about reports of drastic spikes in vote counts for Joe Biden in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

“If those reports are correct, I don’t understand it. The way you do counting is you simply count all of the ballots,” Von Spakovsky said. “You don’t divide. They’re not divided up between the candidates. So the [precinct] reporting that’s coming in ought to be reporting of the total vote count, regardless of who it’s for. So again, if it’s confirmed that there are these weird reports coming out of votes only for one candidate and not the other, you’ve got to question, what exactly is going on?” . . .

“It does raise concerns when you know that all the people that are working there are clearly Democrats,” remarked von Spakovsky. “That’s why it’s so important that those places comply with state poll-watching laws. All the campaigns [and] all the political parties are legally entitled to have poll watchers watching every aspect of the election process, including the counting process.”

Donald Trump Declares Election Fraud: ‘if You Count the Legal Votes I Win’

President Donald Trump promised Thursday to level significant legal action to challenge elections in important swing states after watching his margin of victory whittled away by late-counted ballots for Vice President Joe Biden.

“We think there’s going to be a lot of litigation because we have so much evidence, so much proof, it’s going to end up perhaps at the highest court in the land, you’ll see,” he said. “We think there’ll be a lot of litigation, because we cannot have an election stolen like this.”

The president spoke to reporters at the White House press briefing, demanded transparency in the process, and casting doubt on the Democrat-run voting systems.

“We want every legal vote counted, and I want every legal vote counted,” he said. “We want openness and transparency – no secret count rooms, no mystery ballots, no illegal votes being cast after Election Day.”

The president said he correctly predicted that mail-in ballots opened the election up to fraud and that they would challenge the results. (Read more from “Donald Trump Declares Election Fraud: ‘if You Count the Legal Votes I Win’” HERE)
