Here’s How Greenland Responded to President Trump Wanting U.S. to Buy

Greenland dismissed President Trump’s reported intentions of purchasing the world’s biggest island, saying it was “open for business, not for sale.”

A report in The Wall Street Journal claimed that Trump has expressed interest in acquiring Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory, for the U.S.

White House sources told the Journal that Trump asked his advisers about acquiring the island during “meetings, dinners, and passing conversations” because of Greenland’s “abundant resources and geopolitical importance.” . . .

“We have a good cooperation with USA, and we see it as an expression of greater interest in investing in our country and the possibilities we offer,” the island’s government said on its website. “Of course, Greenland is not for sale.” . . .

“Greenland is rich in valuable resources such as minerals, the purest water and ice, fish stocks, seafood, renewable energy and is a new frontier for adventure tourism,” the ministry said in a tweet Friday. “We’re open for business, not for sale.”

Trump Administration Scores a Partial Victory on Asylum Ban

A federal appeals court partially lifted a nationwide injunction against the Trump administration’s efforts to rein in the wave of Central American migrants seeking asylum at the border. . .

Politico:

While the three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit upheld a lower court’s decision to block the ban, it narrowed the nationwide injunction to the 9th Circuit, which encompasses district courts in the border states of Arizona and California.

But the panel also said in a related order that the asylum ban, implemented in July, likely violated federal regulatory law because it was issued without an adequate period for public comment.

The ACLU and others argued that the new asylum rules, which barred migrants from seeking asylum in the U.S. if they first passed through another nation on their way to the U.S. border, violated federal asylum laws and international agreements. That argument is yet to be tested, but it was good enough to get an injunction.

In the ruling Friday, all three judges on the 9th Circuit panel agreed to uphold Tigar’s temporary freeze on the ban’s implementation. However, the panel split 2-1 on the issue of limiting the scope of the injunction.

Poll: Half of Hispanic Americans Approve of Trump Following ICE Raids

After the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency raided multiple Mississippi food processing plants for hiring illegal alien workers, President Trump’s support among Hispanic voters has remained solid and a record total of black Americans now support him.

Last week, ICE agents conducted the largest workplace raid in more than a decade across seven food processing plants in Mississippi, netting the arrests of 680 illegal aliens. That same day, though, ICE officials said they released about 300 of the illegal workers back into the U.S. on “humanitarian grounds.” More than 200 of the illegal workers had prior criminal records.

The latest Zogby Analytics poll, conducted days after the highly-publicized ICE raids, finds that about 49 percent of Hispanic Americans approve of the job Trump is doing as president. Another 51 percent said they disapprove.

Meanwhile, Trump’s support among black Americans has surged. Nearly three-in-ten black Americans now say they support the job Trump is doing as president — the second consecutive poll showing over a quarter of black Americans support Trump. About seven-in-ten black Americans said they disapprove of Trump.

Since the raids, the food processing plants have been forced to hold job fairs in the area, potentially increasing wages and bettering working conditions to attract and compete for American workers rather than relying on an underclass of exploited illegal workers. One potential worker said the processing plant was offering $12 an hour, but he would like to negotiate a salary of $15 an hour. Hilarious: Here’s Who Trump Says Is the ‘Only Real Winner’ in Rashida Tlaib’s Israel Setup

Katie covered early Friday the fact that anti-semitic Democrat Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib’s dishonest PR stunt regarding her Israel trip, or as Rep. Tlaib would say ‘Palestine,’ was a complete set up from the beginning designed to make Israel look bad. “Yesterday after the Israeli government denied Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Tlaib from entering the country due to their advocacy for the BDS movement, Tlaib was offered a humanitarian exception to visit her grandmother,” Katie wrote. It was revealed that Rep. Tlaib actually asked permission from the Israel government to visit her relatives and promised she would not speak about the BDS issues. But, after being granted permission, she refused to go because she claimed Israel was still somehow oppressing her with their restrictions. . .

“Omar and Tlaib weren’t denied entry to Israel because they are Muslim, they were denied entry because they are tied to terrorism, actively support the BDS movement and do not believe the country has the right to exist. It’s not complicated. It is simple. They won’t be visiting Israel for these reasons, but, they already knew that.”

Friday evening, it seems President Donald J. Trump would agree with Katie’s analysis.

President Trump: ‘It’s Not the Gun That Pulls the Trigger’

By Breitbart. During his Thursday night “Keep America Great” rally in New Hampshire, President Donald Trump commented on violent crime, saying, “It’s not the gun that pulls the trigger.”

Trump said, “We’ve been working very hard to make sure we keep guns out of the hands of insane people and those who are mentally sick and shouldn’t have guns.”

He noted that, years ago, many “cities and states closed mental institutions for budgetary reasons.” The people who would otherwise have been treated were thereafter left on the streets. He noted that this was especially true in places like New York where “they let really seriously mentally ill people out on the streets.”

Gun Control Groups Spend Over $2 Million on Ads Since Recent Mass Shootings, While NRA Talks to Trump

By CNBC. Gun control advocacy groups have dedicated more than $2 million on digital and TV ads, widely outspending the National Rifle Association, since the mass shootings weeks ago in California, Texas and Ohio that left more than 30 dead.

Everytown for Gun Safety — funded mostly by Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire and former New York mayor — is leading the way with a $935,000 ad campaign. Its digital and TV ads call on Congress to require tougher background checks for gun sales along with strong red-flag laws, which are meant to take firearms away from those deemed a threat to themselves or others.

The NRA has spent just $14,000 on Facebook ads since last week. Instead, the group focused its recent advocacy on tweeting and being in direct contact with President Donald Trump. WATCH: MSNBC Guest Calls for White Trump Voters to Be ‘Destroyed’

So, we’ve had two mass shootings recently. They were committed less than 24 hours apart in different parts of the country. In El Paso, a white supremacist that hated Mexicans killed 20+ people at a Walmart. In Dayton, Ohio, a self-avowed leftist who supported gun control, Antifa, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) shot and killed nine people. Scores more were wounded in these incidents. The calls for gun control have heightened, but also one would think it would be a time to maybe temper the rhetoric, especially since the Left has gone off the deep end. Prior to these incidents, an Antifa activist attacked an ICE facility in Tacoma, Washington. Two ICE offices in San Antonio, Texas had shots fired at them as well. ICE blamed heated rhetoric and misinformation for the Texas shootings, which the FBI is investigating and have labeled them, targeted attacks. Well, over at MSNBC, that wasn’t the case. In fact, one guest said the Left needed to “destroy” Trump voters, specifically whites who support the president (via Washington Examiner):

MSNBC guest Elie Mystal, who is the executive editor of AboveTheLaw.com, advocated for nonwhite voters to mobilize to defeat President Trump in the 2020 presidential election, saying “you do not negotiate with” with his white supporters. . .

“You don’t communicate it to them — you beat them. You beat them,” Mystal said. “They are not a majority of this country. The majority of white people in this country are not a majority of the country. And all the people who are not fooled by this need to come together, go to the polls, go to the protests, do whatever you have to do. You do not negotiate with these people, you destroy them.”

Trump Considering Buying World’s Biggest Island

President Trump made his name as a real-estate man, and now he is reportedly contemplating the biggest purchase of his life: buying Greenland.

The Wall Street Journal reports, “In meetings, at dinners and in passing conversations, Mr. Trump has asked advisers whether the U.S. can acquire Greenland, listened with interest when they discuss its abundant resources and geopolitical importance, and, according to two of the people, has asked his White House counsel to look into the idea.”

Denmark owns Greenland, although Greenland is self-ruled, At over 836,000 square miles, Greenland is the world’s largest island (Australia and Antarctica are considered landmasses.) Despite its enormous size, only 56,000 people live in Greenland; that’s because three-quarters of Greenland is covered by a permanent ice sheet.

Greenland came under the Norwegian crown in 1262; the Portuguese briefly claimed it at the start of the 16th century. In the early 1700’s, Denmark and Norway, which were joined under one crown, owned the island, but in 1814 when the union was dissolved, Denmark took control. In 1979, Denmark granted Greenland home rule. Denmark now handles Greenland’s foreign and security policy.

Trump is due to visit Copenhagen in September. The Wall Street Journal notes, “A decades-old defense treaty between Denmark and the U.S. gives the U.S. military virtually unlimited rights in Greenland at America’s northernmost base, Thule Air Base. Located 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle, it includes a radar station that is part of a U.S. ballistic missile early warning system. The base is also used by the U.S. Air Force Space Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command.” (Read more from “Trump Considering Buying World’s Biggest Island” HERE)

Trump Donor Fears for Safety After Appearing on Castro’s List

Trump donors on Rep. Joaquin Castro’s (D-TX) list are still facing harassment due to the lawmaker’s striking decision to publicly shame them on Twitter, with one donor fearing for the safety of his employees.

Last week, the Texas lawmaker – who also chairs his brother’s presidential campaign – posted the names and employers of 44 San Antonio residents who donated the maximum amount to President Trump’s re-election campaign.

“Sad to see so many San Antonians as 2019 maximum donors to Donald Trump,” Castro wrote, accusing the Trump donors of “fueling a campaign of hate that labels Hispanic immigrants as ‘invaders.’”

The backlash was swift, with individuals on both sides of the political aisle noting that Castro’s list seemed to be a call for targeted harassment. Castro and his brother Julián have defended the controversial move, arguing that the information was readily public. . .

Precision Pipe Rentals owner Justin Herricks, who was featured on the list, said that he worries for the safety of his employees, as his company has experienced a flood of harassing messages and phone calls. People are calling him a “racist piece of s***,” according to the Hill. (Read more from “Trump Donor Fears for Safety After Appearing on Castro’s List” HERE)

Biden Explodes When Confronted on Lying About Trump. Video Proves Biden Wrong.

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden doubled down Thursday on a lie that he has repeatedly spread despite being called out on it numerous times and despite video evidence that clearly debunks his claim.

While Biden was campaigning at the “Political Soapbox” at the Iowa State Fair, Breitbart’s Joel Pollak confronted him over his repeated false claim that Trump called neo-Nazis and white nationalists “very fine people” in response to Charlottesville.

“Mr. Vice President are you aware that you are misquoting Donald Trump in Charlottesville?” Pollack asked Biden. “He never called neo-Nazis ‘very fine people.'”

“No, he called all those folks who walked out of that — they were neo-Nazis,” Biden said as he became visibly angry. “Shouting hate, their veins bulging.” . . .

“No, he did not. He said, he walked out, and he said — let’s get this straight,” Biden falsely claimed. “He said there were ‘very fine people’ in both groups. They’re chanting antisemitic slogans, carrying flags.”

MSNBC Guest Calls for Literal Mob of Pitchforks and Torches Outside Trump Donor’s Home

Earlier this week Rep. Joaquin Castro in Texas “named and shamed” San Antonio supporters of President Donald J. Trump in what he says was an effort to get these Americans to think twice before being “complicit in white supremacy.” Anybody with common sense understood the move was dangerous, especially coming from a public official, as it could paint a target on these individuals’ backs regardless if the information was already public or not. On MSNBC Thursday night, guest Elie Mystal took the hysteria over supporting President Trump one step further, saying that protesters should form literal mobs outside the SoulCycle and Equinox chairman’s home in the Hamptons due to his support for the commander-in-chief.

“People of color are already targeted under this administration,” Mystal said Thursday night regarding Rep. Castro’s actions. “I have no problem with shining the light back on the donors who fund this kind of racialized hate.”

“I mean I go further, I want pitchforks and torches outside [Stephen Ross’] house in the Hamptons,” Mystal continued. “I’ve been to the Hamptons, it’s very nice. There’s no reason why it has to be. There’s no reason he should be able to have a nice little party. There’s no reason why people shouldn’t be able to be outside of his house and making their voices peacefully understood.” . . .

“Demonstrating, totally…There have been peaceful protests outside Mitch McConnell’s house,” Hayes added. “And I imagine there will be peaceful protests outside of this…It is all speech, right? Peaceful protest. The right to the assembly under the First Amendment.” (Read more from “MSNBC Guest Calls for Literal Mob of Pitchforks and Torches Outside Trump Donor’s Home” HERE)
