Judge Hands Student Banned From Wearing Trump Shirt to School a Big Win

An Oregon teenager got in trouble with his high school after he wore a T-shirt bearing a message of support for President Donald Trump’s proposal for a wall on the southern border. On Thursday, a federal judge handed him a big win in what had become a fight over free speech.

According to KGW, 18-year-old senior Addison Barnes faced a ten-day suspension in January after he refused to cover or remove his shirt which read “Donald J. Trump Border Wall Construction Company,” and featured the famous Trump quote, “The wall just got 10 feet taller.” . . .

He filed a lawsuit which argued that the school had violated his First Amendment rights. Even the ACLU of Oregon said Barnes was in the right and the school was wrong to censor him, even as they disapproved of the message conveyed by his “mean-spirited” shirt.

The Oregonian reported this weke that Barnes has now been vindicated by a federal judge who issued a temporary restraining order against Liberty High School that prevents it from enforcing its prohibition against Barnes wearing the disputed shirt.

U.S. District Judge Michael W. Mosman, after weighing the school’s concern over what they viewed as “disruptive” to an orderly school setting, ruled that the school couldn’t justify censoring the student’s free political speech. Recently Pardoned by Trump, Sailor Plans to Sue Obama

A former Navy sailor who is one of five people to receive a pardon from President Donald Trump is planning to file a lawsuit against Obama administration officials, alleging that he was subject to unequal protection of the law.

Specifically, Kristian Saucier, who served a year in federal prison for taking photos of classified sections of the submarine on which he worked, argues that the same officials who meted out punishment to him for his actions chose to be lenient with Hillary Clinton in her use of a private email server and handling of classified information.

His lawyer, Ronald Daigle, told Fox News on Monday that the lawsuit, which he expects to file soon in Manhattan, will name the U.S. Department of Justice, former FBI Director James Comey and former President Barack Obama as defendants, among others.

“They interpreted the law in my case to say it was criminal,” Saucier told Fox News, referring to prosecuting authorities in his case, “but they didn’t prosecute Hillary Clinton. Hillary is still walking free. Two guys on my ship did the same thing and weren’t treated as criminals. We want them to correct the wrong.”

Daigle said that a notice about the pending lawsuit was sent to the Department of Justice and others included in it in December. There is usually a six-month period that must lapse before the lawsuit actually is filed. (Read more from “Recently Pardoned by Trump, Sailor Plans to Sue Obama” HERE)

Mother of 16-Year-Old Girl Butchered by MS-13 Says Trump Didn’t Go Far Enough With ‘Animals’ Comment

President Donald Trump was absolutely skewered in the media for calling MS-13 gang members “animals”… but the mother of a teenage girl who was murdered by that group believes he didn’t go far enough. . .

Now, the grieving mother of one of that gang’s victims is pushing back against the liberal media, and siding with Trump’s tough words. . .

Rodriguez’s 16-year-old daughter Kayla Cuevas was brutally beaten to death by MS-13 gang members in New York two years ago. Another girl was also killed at the same time, and authorities found that three of the four Mara Salvatrucha suspects were illegal aliens.

“(MS-13 is) the demon itself,” Rodriguez said. “When you look at these individuals, it’s just seeing darkness. There’s nothing there.” . . .

Underage sex trafficking is also part of the gang’s activities, making Trump’s comment seem rather tame. When victims of sex slavery don’t comply, brutal beatings and even more unspeakable acts are often the result. Drum Roll, Please: Survey Asks Millennials If They’d Date a Trump Supporter or an MS-13 Gang Member

The Dally Caller did a random survey on the streets of Washington, D.C., last week to ask people if they would rather date a Trump supporter or an MS-13 gang member. . .

The interviewers captured several people saying they’d rather date an MS-13 gang member. Hopefully, some of them were being sarcastic. Others said “neither,” when asked which they would choose. A couple of people did not know what MS-13 means. . .

Trump has repeatedly called MS-13 members “violent animals,” a fitting label given their list of alleged crimes. He has also used examples of the gang’s violence to support the case for having a secure border.

The president was recently blasted in the mainstream media for calling the gang members “animals.” Although Trump was specifically referring to violent criminals, his words were twisted to make it sound like he meant all immigrants.

“I noticed recently where Democrats – Nancy Pelosi as an example – are trying to defend MS-13 gang members,” Trump said at an immigration roundtable in May. “I called them animals the other day and I was met with rebuke.” (Read more from “Drum Roll, Please: Survey Asks Millennials If They’d Date a Trump Supporter or an MS-13 Gang Member” HERE)

Bill Clinton Says This Is the Reason Why Obama Was Treated Different Than Trump

By The Daily Wire. On Sunday, former-President Bill Clinton appeared with author James Patterson on “CBS Sunday Morning” to promote their new book, “The President is Missing,” which will hit shelves on Monday. During the segment, correspondent Mo Rocca asked Clinton if he believed that the press treated Obama with more reverence than Trump, and if so, why?

ROCCA: You hear from Trump supporters who say, “You know, the press slobbered all over President Obama. He could do no wrong. And now this guy can do no right. What gives?” That there’s a kind of whiplash.

CLINTON: Well, they did treat him differently than other Democrats and Republicans because they –

CLINTON: It was the political press. You know, I don’t know. They liked him, and they liked having the first African American president – and he was a good president, I think.

Bill Clinton Says Impeachment Hearings Would Have Begun Already If a Democrat Were President

By Fox News. Former President Bill Clinton argued Sunday that impeachment hearings would already be in full swing if a Democrat were in the Oval Office and if the special counsel’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election were as deep as it is now.

“I think if the roles were reversed — now, this is me just talking, but it’s based on my experience — if it were a Democratic president, and these facts were present, most people I know in Washington believe impeachment hearings would have begun already,” Clinton told “CBS Sunday Morning.”

Clinton, who appeared alongside James Patterson to promote the political thriller “The President is Missing” that the two penned together, noted that these are “serious issues” that the country is facing.

So far, the special counsel’s investigation, which is headed up by former FBI director Robert Mueller, has charged 19 people – including three former campaign aides of President Trump – along with three companies, and has received five guilty pleas. Perhaps the most high-profile of those guilty pleas came from Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Can Trump Pardon Himself?

. . .The topic came up Sunday as Giuliani spoke with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on “This Week” as the pair discussed Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of possible collusion between Trump and Russia to impact the 2016 presidential race.

Stephanopoulos asked Giuliani if the president has the power to pardon himself, the former mayor of New York City responded that he “probably does.” . . .

Giuliani added, “I think the political ramifications of that would be tough. Pardoning other people is one thing. Pardoning yourself is another. Other presidents have pardoned people in circumstances like this, both in their administration and sometimes the next president even of a different party will come along and pardon.”

The matter about pardoning one’s self comes in the wake of a 20-page letter dated Jan. 29 from Trump’s attorneys to Mueller, outlining the legal strategy of the president concerning the Russia investigation. . .

The letter, first reported by the New York Times, states: “It remains our position that the President’s actions here, by virtue of his position as the chief law enforcement officer, could neither constitutionally nor legally constitute obstruction because that would amount to him obstructing himself, and that he could if he wished, terminate the inquiry, or even exercise his power to pardon if he so desired.” (Read more from “Can Trump Pardon Himself?” HERE)

Feds Piecing Together Cohen Docs Found in Shredder

In legal theory, justice is blind. In the investigation into President Donald Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen, it might be getting a little impatient, Judge Kimba Wood indicated Wednesday.

During a hearing in Manhattan’s U.S. District Court, Wood said she was unhappy with the pace at which documents recovered from a raid on Cohen’s office are being turned over to the federal government so that federal investigators can determined if any of Cohen’s actions have violated the law, NBC News reported.

“It is important for the court to balance the slow, deliberate needs of those who are asserting attorney-client privilege with the need for an investigation to go forward,” Wood said, according to The New York Times.

As a result, Wood set a deadline of June 15 for lawyers representing Trump, Cohen and the Trump Organization to sift through the massive mountain of records confiscated by the FBI to determine which were private or privileged and which could be given to the government. The records include both electric and physical files, as well as documents prosecutors are trying to piece together from a shredder in Cohen’s office.

Cohen’s attorneys had sought a July deadline for sifting through the records to ensure that no documents violating attorney-client privilege or privacy would be part of any ongoing investigation.

Wood added that if the pace does not pick up, she will order all the documents turned over to the government to let federal officials make the call.

Todd Harrison, representing Cohen, said the legal team was “moving heaven and earth” to process materials.

He said that Cohen’s lawyers have reviewed 1.3 million of the 3.7 million items given to them by federal officials.

Special Master Barbara Jones, who is reviewing the materials Cohen or Trump want kept private, said of that total, only 252 have been declared private privileged.

Prosecutors have turned over most of what the FBI confiscated to the attorneys representing Cohen so the lawyers can determine what is and is not privileged. However, they are still trying to access the contents of two BlackBerry devices and put back together what was found in the shredder. They believe it will take two or three additional weeks to reconstruct those shredded documents.

The basis for the action against Cohen is a reported $130,000 payment to former porn star Stormy Daniels that came shortly before the 2016 election. As noted by The Washington Post, the federal raids on Cohen were also linked to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of alleged, and as yet unproven, collusion with Russia during the election.

Wednesday’s hearing was about more than procedure. Michael Avenatti, a lawyer for Daniels who is not licensed to practice in New York State, sought to enter the case, a bid that was opposed by Stephen Ryan, representing Cohen.

He noted that Avenatti has given more than 170 interviews on the case, including 74 to CNN.

“He is involved in ways that call attention to himself,” Ryan said. “This is about the aggrandizement of a single attorney and his client.”

Wood did not rule on Avenatti’s motion, but said he would have to stop what she called his “publicity tour.”

“This conduct is inimicable to giving Mr. Cohen eventually a fair trial,” she said. “You will not be permitted to use this court as a platform.”

Faced with what was clearly a choice between arguing before the court or the cameras, Avenatti later withdrew his motion to be formally attached the case, allowing him free reign to continue to comment outside of court. Pedophile Who Threatened to Murder Trump Is Running for Congress

A confessed pedophile who served prison time for threatening to assassinate the president of the United States is running for Congress in Virginia.

The candidacy of Nathan Larson, an independent, was made possible by former Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who restored the rights of felons in 2016 to vote and run for office.

Larson, a 37-year old accountant, acknowledged to the HuffPost he is a pedophile who has bragged in website posts about raping his late ex-wife.

He confirmed he created now-defunct chat rooms that, the HuffPost said, “served as gathering places for pedophiles and violence-minded misogynists like himself.” . . .

“A lot of people are tired of political correctness and being constrained by it,” he said. “People prefer when there’s an outsider who doesn’t have anything to lose and is willing to say what’s on a lot of people’s minds.” (Read more from “Pedophile Who Threatened to Murder Trump Is Running for Congress” HERE)

North Korea Summit Is Back On

By WND. After announcing last week that the planned historic summit with North Korean’s Kim Jong Un had been canceled because of the dictator’s “tremendous anger and open hostility,” President Trump said Friday after meeting with a top North Korean aide that the summit will take place June 12 in Singapore as originally planned. . .

Trump said his meeting Friday in the Oval Office with Kim Yong Chol, Kim Jong Un’s top aide, was a “great start,” confirming the official gave him a personal letter from the North Korean dictator.

Trump said a meeting that was intended to be only about “the delivery of a letter,” which he said he had not read yet, turned out to be an extended conversation with the “second most powerful man in North Korea” that led to restoration of the summit.

“We talked about a lot of things,” Trump said. “We really did. But the big deal will be on June 12.” . . .

One week ago, Trump, whose stated objective is denuclearization of the rogue regime, sent a letter to Kim Jong Un declaring the meeting had been canceled and lamenting the world and North Korea had missed a “great opportunity for lasting peace and great prosperity.” (Read more from “North Korea Summit Is Back On” HERE)

Why North Korea’s ‘Special Delivery’ Letter Was so Warmly Received in the Oval Office

By NBC News. Even before President Donald Trump had read the letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Friday, it was “special delivery.”

Instead of bringing Kim Jong Un’s number-two unceremoniously through a side door, the White House rolled out the red carpet for Kim Yong Chol, North Korea’s former longtime spy chief. Even though Gen. Kim remains under Treasury Department sanctions, with a record of hostile actions against the United States, he was given the kind of reception usually accorded a top diplomat from a friendly nation.

What does this signify? Clearly, Trump has come a long way from his threats of “fire and fury” and insults against “little rocket man,” to say nothing of his New Year’s tweets comparing his “nuclear button” with Kim Jong Un’s. He needs a show of good relations between the U.S. and North Korea as much as Kim Jong Un does, and immediately announced that the summit between the two men was back on for June 12 in Singapore. Watch: New Ad Most Over-The-Top Anti-Trump Yet

As President Trump’s approval rating continues to tick up and the mood of the country brightens amid better and better economic news, Democrats are increasingly wrestling with the question of just how much of their message should be focused on Trump.

Well, Democrat Dan Helmer, who’s currently battling for votes in the Democratic primary for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, has decided that he’s going all in on the anti-Trump messaging. In fact, you couldn’t get much more anti-Trump than his new ad, which openly declares that the new Osama bin Laden-level threat to the country is none other than the current President of the United States. Actually, Helmer suggests, he might be even worse because rather than living in a cave, he lives right in the middle of Washington, D.C. . .
