GOP Congressman, Supposed Trump-Supporter Attacks President as ‘Evil, F–King Stupid Forrest Gump’

By WND. Erick Erickson, a journalist who runs the website The Resurgent, claims a GOP congressman went on a anti-Trump tirade, calling the president am “evil, really f—ing stupid Forrest Gump” and proposing that Republicans impeach him.

Erickson said the encounter took place in the aisles of a Safeway grocery store, and the unnamed congressman who unloaded on Trump regularly appears on Fox News and is a public defender of the president.

“If we’re going to lose because of him, we might as well impeach the motherf—er,” the congressman reportedly told Erickson, who wrote about his experience with “[one] of the president’s congressional defenders” who “has privately decided he hates Trump and wants to unload.” . . .

The congressman reportedly continued:

He may be an idiot, but he’s still the president and leader of my party, and he is capable of doing some things right. But dammit, he’s taking us all down with him. We are well and truly f—ed in November. Kevin [McCarthy] is already circling like a green fly circling s–t, trying to take Paul’s [Ryan] job because nobody thinks he’s sticking around for Nancy [Pelosi]. She’s going to f— up the cafeteria again, too. [Lord’s name in vain], at least I’ll probably lose too and won’t have to put up with that s–t.

Erick Erickson Provides Small Clue About Identity of Mystery GOP Lawmaker Who Torched Trump

By The Washington Examiner. Conservative commentator Erick Erickson provided a clue about the identity of the mystery U.S. congressman that torched President Trump in a recent interview.

Erickson published an interview Wednesday that quoted an anonymous Republican representative who suggested that if Republicans were going to lose control of the House and the Senate in upcoming elections because of Trump, Trump should be impeached.

“No, look, I promised him I would keep him secret,” Erickson told CNN host Erin Burnett Wednesday after she pressed him for details on the representative. “We talked. Had a good conversation, and he knew I was going to quote him. But I would prefer to protect him, particularly just given, I think, his voters and others, particularly the congressional leadership would be upset with him for venting. He is not on the Judiciary Committee. I will tell you that.”

That narrows down, if only slightly, who could be the congressman with whom Erickson spoke. There are a total of 22 Republicans on the Judiciary Committee. (Read more from “Erick Erickson Provides Small Clue About Identity of Mystery GOP Lawmaker Who Torched Trump” HERE)

Trump Mocked for ‘Mission Accomplished!’ Tweet

By CNN. The Twittersphere piled on President Donald Trump after he tweeted Saturday that the US-led strikes on Syria “could not have had a better result.”

“Mission Accomplished!” he wrote of the US, UK and French strikes against targets in Syria over the suspected use of chemical weapons.

Twitter users immediately saw a connection to comments from President George W. Bush in 2003 when he gave a speech announcing an end to major combat operations in Iraq with a massive banner behind him that read, “Mission Accomplished.”

Bush gave his speech aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier a little more than a month after US troops were deployed to Iraq, and it would soon become clear that the mission was, in fact, not accomplished. As the war dragged on, it came to symbolize what had gone wrong in Iraq.

Russia Claims Syria Air Defenses Shot Down 71 of 103 Missiles

By The Guardian. The Russian military has claimed that the Syrian air defences, whose most modern weapon is a three-decades-old Russian-supplied anti-aircraft system, shot down 71 of 103 missiles fired by the US and its allies, the UK and France, a claim denied by the Pentagon.

As further details began to emerge about the sites targeted by the US-led strikes, Col Gen Sergei Rudskoi of the Russian military said the strikes had not caused any casualties and that Syrian military facilities suffered only minor damage.

It was not possible to verify the claims. The most up-to-date system that Moscow has supplied to the Syrian regime is the short range Pantsir S-1, which has an anti-missile capability.

Russia said its advisers had spent the last 18 months completely rebuilding the Syrian air defence system, and said the high number of intercepted rockets spoke to “the high effectiveness of the weaponry in Syria and the excellent training of Syrian servicemen prepared by our specialists”. Comey Kept Trump in the Dark on Dossier’s Democratic Funding

Fired FBI Director James Comey has acknowledged that he never told Donald Trump that the dossier on which his bureau relied to investigate the president was financed by the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton campaign.

Promoting his book, “A Higher Loyalty,” Mr. Comey talked to ABC News about his seminal moment with President-elect Trump at Trump Tower on Jan. 6, 2017. He informed Mr. Trump about the dossier’s most salacious unproven charge — that in 2013 the future president entertained prostitutes in a Moscow hotel room.

Mr. Comey presented the allegation to Mr. Trump as an intelligence report, keeping him in the dark about it being a piece of opposition research by ex-British spy Christoper Steele. Mr. Steele had told a Justice Department contact during the election that he was “desperate” to destroy the presidential candidate . . .

Trump supporters say that if Mr. Comey had been forthcoming on Jan. 6 the White House from the start would have been in a better position to defend itself against dossier allegations of Russian collusion. To this day, they remain unconfirmed publicly. Mr. Trump fired Mr. Comey the following May.

Mr. Comey also did not tell the president that the Democratic Party dossier had been used by the FBI to obtain a surveillance warrant on Trump volunteer Carter Page. In fact, later that month, the FBI again used the dossier to garner a second of four court-approved wiretap warrants on Mr. Page, who denies all the dossier charges against him. Remember the Girl With the Armed Graduation Photo? ABC Journalists Called the Cops on Her

A photo of a young woman wearing a T-shirt supporting President Donald Trump and displaying a concealed weapon is wrong in so many ways to many on the left . . .

The photo Brenna Spencer posted on her Twitter account Saturday to commemorate her upcoming graduation from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga certainly stirred up plenty of emotions . . .

One critic of the picture alleged that Spencer broke the law by having her weapon visible at Chattanooga’s Hunter Museum of American Art. Spencer was standing outside of the museum when the photo was taken.

That same person even posted a screenshot of an article from ArtNews.com, which lists the Hunter Museum of American Art as being among the museums that does not allow citizens to carry firearms on its grounds.

WTVC, the ABC News affiliate in Chattanooga, contacted the Chattanooga Police Department about the legality of Spencer’s picture, but didn’t receive a reply to their request for a comment. The White House Just Let a Big Secret Slip About Firing Robert Mueller

By CNN. Less than 24 hours removed from Donald Trump musing that “many people” have told him he should fire special counsel Robert Mueller, Sarah Sanders made clear that that the White House has researched such a move and believes Trump has the ability to do it.

“He certainly believes he has the power to do so,” the White House press secretary said of the President’s ability to fire Mueller. “We’ve been advised that the President certainly has the power to make that decision.” . . .

Think about what Sanders is saying here. She is saying that the White House has sought out guidance as to whether Trump can fire the special counsel. And concluded that he can. (Read more from “The White House Just Let a Big Secret Slip About Firing Robert Mueller” HERE)

Trump Sought to Fire Mueller in December

By The New York Times. In early December, President Trump, furious over news reports about a new round of subpoenas from the office of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, told advisers in no uncertain terms that Mr. Mueller’s investigation had to be shut down.

The president’s anger was fueled by reports that the subpoenas were for obtaining information about his business dealings with Deutsche Bank, according to interviews with eight White House officials, people close to the president and others familiar with the episode. To Mr. Trump, the subpoenas suggested that Mr. Mueller had expanded the investigation in a way that crossed the “red line” he had set last year in an interview with The New York Times.

In the hours that followed Mr. Trump’s initial anger over the Deutsche Bank reports, his lawyers and advisers worked quickly to learn about the subpoenas, and ultimately were told by Mr. Mueller’s office that the reports were not accurate, leading the president to back down. DEEP STATE IN TOTAL CONTROL: President’s FBI Raids Home of Trump Lawyer Following Recent Scandal

By WND. The FBI raided the office, home and hotel room of President Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, on Monday and seized records there, according to the New York Times.

And now federal authorities have possession of emails and other communications exchanged between Trump and his personal lawyer, which could expose the president to further scrutiny.

Cohen is being investigated for possible bank fraud, wire fraud and campaign finance violations, three sources told the Washington Post Monday evening.

The records taken by the federal bureau include those related to payments made to a pornographic actress known as Stormy Daniels, a woman who claims she had sex with Trump in 2006. In addition to records related to payments made to Daniels, the FBI also reportedly took copies of emails, tax records and business documents. The investigators also confiscated Cohen’s phone and computer.

The Times noted, “The seized records include communications between Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen, which would likely require a special team of agents to review because conversations between lawyers and clients are protected from scrutiny in most instances.” (Read more from “FBI Raids Home of Trump Lawyer Following Recent Scandal” HERE)

What to Make of the FBI’s Raid of Michael Cohen’s Office: A Former Agent Reads the Tea Leaves

By NY Daily News. . .What today’s action demonstrates is that the special counsel is not only conducting a serious investigation of Russia interference in our democracy, and of those U.S. persons who may have colluded or conspired or otherwise enabled it, but a thorough one.

As one who’s seen Mueller in action up close and personally for a lot of years, I have long expected nothing less.

What is particularly interesting about today’s action, however, is not that it is serious or thorough, but that it was based on a referral from the special counsel to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.

Media speculation has suggested the primary basis for the referral was the $130,000 “hush money” payment Cohen made to pornographic-film actress Stephanie Clifford, aka Stormy Daniels, who has said repeatedly and quite convincingly that she had an affair with Trump.

But it is quite possible that was not the only basis for the search warrant used to authorize the action. Scope is a big deal in a federal search warrant. Typically, investigators can’t just take anything they please. This is particularly true in a search of a lawyer’s office, where protection of “privileged information” is the most sacred of legal cows. Double Standard? Mueller Investigating $150K Donation to Trump From Man Who Gave Clintons Millions

By The Daily Wire. Special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating a $150,000 donation to President Donald Trump’s charity in 2015 from a Ukrainian businessman who has given tens of millions of dollars to Bill and Hillary Clinton, according to a new report.

The donation, from Ukrainian billionaire Victor Pinchuk, came after “then-candidate Donald Trump gave a 20-minute speech at a European conference that promoted closer ties between Ukraine and the West,” the Business Insider reported.

The speech was set up in August 2015 when Doug Schoen, a political consultant for Pinchuk, contacted Trump directly and asked if he would give a speech. Trump reportedly accepted but did not bring up the subject of being paid to make the appearance.

The report states that Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, is alleged to “have called Schoen the next day to ask for a $150,000 fee from Pinchuk in exchange for the talk.”

The New York Times reported in 2016 that Pinchuk “has directed between $10 million and $25 million to the [Clinton] foundation,” and that he also “lent his private plane to the Clintons and traveled to Los Angeles in 2011 to attend Mr. Clinton’s star-studded 65th birthday celebration.” (Read more from “Double Standard? Trump on Whether He’ll Fire Mueller: ‘We’ll See What Happens’

By Politico. President Donald Trump on Monday dangled the possibility of firing special counsel Robert Mueller, slamming the federal prosecutor’s involvement in the raid of his longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen as a “disgrace.”

After news broke that the FBI earlier in the day had seized documents in properties linked to Cohen in New York, reportedly through a referral from Mueller, the president was pressed by reporters about the possibility of dismissing the former bureau director as special counsel.

“Why don’t I just fire Mueller? Well, I think it’s a disgrace what’s going on. We’ll see what happens,” Trump said. “But I think it’s a really sad situation when you look at what happened, and many people have said you should fire him.”

Trump ordered that Mueller be fired last year but backed off after the top White House attorney threatened to resign over the move, a source told POLITICO. (Read more from “Trump on Whether He’ll Fire Mueller: ‘We’ll See What Happens'” HERE)

Councilwoman Triggered by Teen’s TRUMP Shirt, Faces Charge for Berating Group of ‘Scared’ Girls

By Bizpac Review. A Texas councilwoman is facing misdemeanor charges after a MAGA shirt sparked an anti-Trump outburst.

West University Place Councilwoman Kellye Burke was accused of yelling obscenities Saturday at a group of teenage girls over a Trump T-shirt, KPRC2 reported.

Investigators at the Harris County Precinct One Constable’s Office filed a “class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge” against Burke, a volunteer for @MomsDemand.

The girls, who did not want to be identified for fear of retaliation, were confronted by the councilwoman while they waited on line to buy cookies at a local shop, according to KPRC2.

“A tall, short-haired blond woman came up to them and screamed, ‘Grab em by the (expletive) girls!’” the father of one of the girls said, adding that the teens tried to laugh off the incident at first. “Why did Michael Cohen make it?” Trump was asked.

Trump Denies He Knew About Lawyer’s $130,000 Payment to Porn Star Stormy Daniels

By CNBC. President Donald Trump denied Thursday that he knew about his lawyer’s $130,000 payment to former adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Trump spoke to reporters for the first time about the payment, made shortly before the 2016 election, to secure Daniels’ silence about allegations of a sexual encounter with the president years ago. Representatives for the president have denied that Trump and Daniels engaged in a tryst.

The president said Thursday he did not know where his personal attorney Michael Cohen got the money . . .

Last month, Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, sued Cohen to try to get released from a nondisclosure agreement she signed in October 2016. (Read more from “Trump Denies He Knew About Lawyer’s $130,000 Payment to Porn Star Stormy Daniels” HERE)
