The Media Admits Trump Was Right

Crumbling narrative… The United States media has systematically denied the existence of “no-go zones” in Europe. These zones are areas that neither police nor citizens of those countries dare to go into. Take for example this piece in The Atlantic from 2015, “Why the Muslim ‘no-go zone’ myth won’t die.” Except it is not a “myth.” Just last week, German Chancellor Angela Merkel publicly recognized the existence of “no-go areas” in her country. NewsBusters has the details. For the media, these “no-go zones” are counter to the narrative; that’s why reporters just deny the very existence of something that has been provable for a long time.

Oh, THAT crime problem… In the same vein as the non-coverage of the “no-go zones” is the ever-escalating migrant violence problem in Sweden. PowerLine’s Paul Mirengoff recounts how the New York Times slammed President Donald Trump in February 2017 after his CPAC speech, in which he mentioned the Swedish crime problem. Now that very same New York Times has documented the horrific crime wave that Trump was talking about. How bad is it? Forget guns, as Mirengoff explains: “According to the Times, there have been more than 100 incidents involving military-grade explosives in the Stockholm metro area that police have attributed to an ‘arms race’ among immigrant gangs.” The apology from the Times to Trump must be in the mail.

What socialism? … On Sunday the New York Times’ Sunday magazine featured a profile of the Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez. In the long feature, the current problems of Venezuela are discussed. Our friends over at NewsBusters noticed a very peculiar thing, however. There was no mention of how socialism is at the root of the problems in Venezuela. It was completely glossed over. Again, many in the media believe in left-wing ideologies like socialism. Publishing information that shows socialism in a bad light is counter to their narrative.

Collusion delusion …

Shot
… The New Yorker magazine just published a lengthy profileChaser … In the second episode of LevinTV host Mark Levin’s new Fox News show, “Life, Liberty, & Levin,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R. Calif., appeared for the full hour. Levin and Nunes discussed how the Obama administration used Steele’s dossier to spy on domestic political opponents. It’s must-see TV. The American Thinker has an in-depth look at the interview, which it says “raises the bar.” Here’s what Nunes had to say about the media:

The media in this country is dead. It no longer exists, and the American people need to understand this. I don’t know where it’s going to all end – if it’s dead forever – but 90% of the media is far-left-wing, and they are totally reliant on getting clicks and playing to their base and to their owners to support what their owners want.

That sounds about right.

March sadness …

My beloved UMass-Lowell Riverhawks made the jump from NCAA Division II to Division I beginning in the fall of 2013. After a four-year probationary period, all teams are finally able to participate in the postseason. This weekend, after jumping out to a 49-38 halftime lead over the UMBC Retrievers, the UML men’s basketball team cratered and ended up losing by double digits. This is my first taste of what it feels like to have your team lose during what I’m calling March sadness. I have a feeling it won’t be the last. of Christopher Steele, the former British spy responsible for the DNC/Hillary Clinton campaign-funded Trump dossier. One of the claims made in the profile is that “Steele told friends that Trump supporters were using him as a ‘battering ram’ to ‘take down the whole intelligence community.’”

The piece is heavily slanted towards the narrative that any questions about Steele’s work, how FISA warrants were obtained, and the notion that Trump colluded with the Russians in 2016 are totally unwarranted. It tries to paint Steele, whose dossier has not been verified, in a good light. (For more from the author of “The Media Admits Trump Was Right” please click HERE)

Man Behind Vanessa Trump’s White Powder Attack Had Disturbing Ties to Dem Party

Daniel Frisiello, the man charged with sending envelopes with white powder to Donald Trump, Jr., donated to Democratic causes and expressed dislike of the president on social media.

Police arrested Frisiello in Beverly, Massachusetts, Thursday in connection with sending five cryptic, threatening but evidently harmless letters to Trump and other figures, including a sitting Democratic senator and a Republican congressional candidate.

All five envelopes also contained a mysterious white substance which reportedly sent Trump’s wife, Vanessa, to the hospital after she opened the letter.

“You are an awful, awful person,” the note to Trump, postmarked Feb. 7, said.

“I am surprised that your father lets you speak on TV. You make the family idiot, Eric (Trump), look smart. This is the reason why people hate you, so you are getting what you deserve. So shut the (expletive) UP!”

Frisiello made one donation of $75 to Act Blue in April 2016, earmarked for the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee, according to records from the Federal Election Commission.

The filing indicates that Frisiello was unemployed at the time.

Frisiello followed a number of progressive causes on Facebook, and according to his public profile, he frequently shared posts critical to President Donald Trump and Republicans, including one meme shared Nov. 7, 2016, the day before the election, which compared Trump to Adolf Hitler.

“Called it!” Frisiello commented on the image.

The other powder-filled envelopes Frisiello allegedly sent were addressed to Michigan Democratic Sen. Deborah Stabenow, the U.S. Attorney for California, a professor at Stanford Law School, and Antonio Sabato Jr., who recently announced his candidacy as a Republican for a California congressional district.

“All five envelopes contained a white powder,” officials said. “At this point, testing has determined the powder in each envelope to be nonhazardous.”

One Twitter user pointed out that, according to Frisiello’s Facebook, he is a fan of Rep. Adam Schiff and Joe Scarborough.

BETRAYAL: Trump Says Government Should ‘Take the Guns First, Go Through Due Process Second’

On Wednesday, President Trump met with Congressional Democrats and Republicans to discuss measures to bolster student security in the aftermath of the Parkland, Florida massacre. There, Trump proceeded to make an anti-Second Amendment statement so radical that it put President Obama’s gun control sermons in the shade.

“I don’t want mentally ill people to be having guns,” Trump said. He continued:

You have to do something very decisive. Number one, you can take the guns away immediately from people that you can adjudge easily are mentally ill, like this guy. You know, the police saw that he was a problem, they didn’t take any guns away. Now, that could have been policing. I think they should have taken them away anyway, whether they had the right or not. But I’ll tell you this, you have to have very strong provisions for the mentally ill.

Just in case you missed the part where Trump explicitly denounced due process of law, he repeated it again.

After Vice President Mike Pence explained that Republicans in Congress wanted legislation that could allow friends and family members to apply to a court to suspend Second Amendment rights for the dangerously mentally ill, and stated that with such due process, Second Amendment rights would not be endangered, Trump stepped in.

FLASHBACK: Donald Trump Rushed to Stop an Assailant in 1991 Even Though He Didn’t Have a Weapon

Democrats, true to ignorant form, are once again frivolously giggling at President Trump for suggesting he would have entered the Parkland school building unarmed during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. At a meeting with governors to discuss school safety measures, Trump explained, “I really believe I’d run in there, even if I didn’t have a weapon. And I think most of the people in this room would’ve done that too.” Trump’s opponents on the Left quickly pounced. Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane posted a GIF image of President Trump apparently showing fear as a bald eagle nearly bit him. 1970s film star Mark Hamill tweeted, “#ItsFunToPretend.” Twitter user Bryce Tache wrote, “You’ll never be the hero. Never.”

Trump’s lightly-educated critics ignore history, including a 1991 incident in which The Donald rush to stop a mugging in New York and chased the armed assailant away, despite lacking any weapon himself. As James Rosen reported at the time in the New York Daily News, “When he saw ‘a big guy with a big bat’ bashing another fellow, Donald Trump did what any self-respecting billionaire would do: He ordered his driver to pull over.” Trump confronted the armed assailant, who recognized him and claimed not to have done anything wrong. Trump reportedly asked the mugger, “How could you not do anything wrong when you’re whacking a guy with a bat?” The mugger then ran away.

Lest readers write the story off as mere Trumpian fiction, Rosen adds that a witness corroborated the account. (Read more from “FLASHBACK: Donald Trump Rushed to Stop an Assailant in 1991 Even Though He Didn’t Have a Weapon” HERE)

Trump: I Would’ve Run Into School Shooting Unarmed

In the wake of news reports indicating as many as four Broward County Sheriff’s deputies had their pistols drawn and were taking cover behind their vehicles after an active shooter went on a killing spree at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, a disgusted President Trump vowed he would have stormed the school to save the kids – even if he had no weapon.

“I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon,” Trump said Monday during a governors meeting at the White House on school safety.

In the middle of the bloodshed, Coral Springs police officers arrived on the scene. Officers told CNN that the armed school resource officer and three other Broward County Sheriff’s deputies hadn’t entered the school by the time they arrived. One source told CNN the deputies were behind their vehicles with their weapons drawn, and they didn’t appear to join police as they entered the school.

“I got to watch some deput[ies] performing this weekend,” Trump said, criticizing the sheriff’s response. “They weren’t exactly Medal of Honor winners, all right? The way they performed was, frankly, disgusting.

“They were listening to what was going on, the one in particular (the school resource officer). Then you had three others … ” Trump said. “The way they performed was really a disgrace.” (Read more from “Trump: I Would’ve Run Into School Shooting Unarmed” HERE)

Trump Approval Rate Surges to 50 Percent

Half of likely U.S. voters now approve of President Trump’s job performance, according to Rasmussen Reports, which noted that on the same date in Barack Obama’s term his approval was only 45 percent.

The latest figures include 34 percent who strongly approve of the way the president is performing and 41 percent who strongly disapprove,” Rasmussen said.

“Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe has resulted in 13 indictments against Russians for meddling in the 2016 presidential election, and half of voters now think it’s possible this alleged interference cost Hillary Clinton the presidency. But slightly more think the U.S. government also interferes in the elections of other countries,” the polling service said.

“The indictments handed down to the Russians involved using stolen identities from American citizens to promote mostly pro-Trump political activist campaigns through social media. Interestingly, though, 79 percent of regular social media users say their political opinions are not significantly influenced by postings on social media, including 40 percent who say they are not influenced at all.”

The polling organization also said that while Democrats have promoted gun control in response to the Florida high school shooting, “most Americans don’t believe stricter gun control laws will reduce violent crime.” (Read more from “Trump Approval Rate Surges to 50 Percent” HERE)

Trump’s Trans-In-Military Vow Hangs in Balance

Defense Secretary James Mattis should put “mission readiness” above social agendas in his recommendation to the White House regarding whether or not transgendered persons should serve in the military, contends a military expert.

Mattis on Friday delivered his recommendation to the White House, the Hill reported, but it was not released to the public.

A Pentagon spokesman declined to discuss the recommendation, but several published reports claimed Mattis recommended that people with gender dysphoria be allowed to continue in the military.

Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, warned that if true, there will be consequences for the military’s ability to defend the nation.

“The defense secretary’s trial balloon, if accurately described, will not fly. Such a plan would be unworkable and unfaithful to orders that President Donald Trump has every right to issue,” she said. (Read more from “Trump’s Trans-In-Military Vow Hangs in Balance” HERE)

Trump’s Solution for Mass Shootings

By Fox News. President Trump said Wednesday the administration is going to strengthen background checks for gun purchases and “put a strong emphasis on mental health,” as he promised students and families “we are going to get it done.”

The president, Vice President Mike Pence and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos hosted students, teachers and families affected by the Parkland high school shooting for a “listening session” at the White House Wednesday, which lasted close to two hours.

Exactly one week ago, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, whom the president described as “a sick guy,” opened fire at the high school and now is charged with killing 17 teachers and students with an AR-15 rifle.

“We are going to be very strong on background checks, and put a very strong emphasis on the mental health of somebody,” Trump said at the beginning of the listening session. “We’re going to talk and get it done. It’s been going on too long, too many instances and we’re going to get it done.”

Students and parents from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, along with Parkland city Mayor Christine Hunschofsky, attended the White House session, along with members of Sandy Hook Promise, a national non-profit organization based in Newtown, Connecticut and led by several family members whose loved ones were killed in the tragic Dec. 14, 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Students from Friendship Public Charter School, Parkmont, and Thurgood Marshall Academy in Washington, D.C. also attended. (Read more from “Trump’s Solution for Mass Shootings” HERE)

JUST IN: Trump Orders Ban on Bump Stocks

On Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump announced an order to the Department of Justice to propose a ban on bump stocks, devices which modify semi-automatic weapons to act more like fully automatic weapons. The discussion of bump stocks first hit the press and politicians in October, soon after the Las Vegas massacre where the shooter used such a device to kill over 50 people.

“We can do more to protect our children. We must do more to protect our children,” said Trump at an event to honor law and safety officers at the White House.

“After the deadly shooting in Las Vegas, I directed the attorney general to clarify whether certain bump stock devices like the one used in Las Vegas are illegal under current law,” he announced, according to Real Clear Politics.

“That process began in December, and just a few moments ago, I signed a memorandum directing the attorney general to propose regulations to ban all devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns. I expect that these critical regulations will be finalized, [by Attorney General Jeff Sessions], very soon,” Trump continued.

“The key in all of these efforts, as I said in my remarks the day after the shooting, is that we cannot merely take actions that make us feel like we are making a difference, we must actually make a difference. We must move past cliches and tired debates and focus on evidence-based solutions and security measures that actually work and that make it easier for women of law enforcement to protect our children and to protect our safety,” the president added.
